Cronos: The New Dawn gameplay trailer released by Bloober Team | TheSixthAxis

Bloober Team has released the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming survival horror Cronos: The New Dawn, naming this trailer ‘Don’t Let The Merge.’ You can see why from the trailer as enemies can absorb other enemies to become bigger threats, with more powerful attacks and increased speed. The trailer also shows how you will navigate different locations, including some areas where gravity doesn’t have much of a pull.

Announced last October, the behind the scenes video explores Cronos: The New Dawn’s setting, a post-apocalyptic rendition of 1980s Poland. This is the home to a survival horror adventure with some hefty helpings of sci-fi and time travel. You’ll play as a time-hopping Traveller, going back through time rifts to try and extract people who didn’t survive the apocalypse. Some of the most notable inspirations include the Dead Space franchise and the movie Twelve Monkeys. The Traveller’s own suit takes its inspiration from older deep sea diving suits, alluding to the theme of diving through time to save people.

Cronos: The New Dawn is set to launch in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Moonsigil Atlas is a deckbuilding roguelike with tile-based energy that’s Tetris meets Slay The Spire

Moonsigil Atlas is a deckbuilding roguelike with tile-based energy that’s Tetris meets Slay The Spire

Now this blending of ideas looks damn cool. Moonsigil Atlas looks like it really warps deckbuilders into something quite unique, and I can’t wait to check this one out. The developer said it’s basically Tetris meets Slay the Spire, and as far as comparisons go it’s quite a fun hook to think on.

Here you play your cards by positioning special magic sigils on the big crescent moon, playing as many as you can that you have the space to fit in. The game will have multiple characters to play as, along with hundreds of cards for a whole lot of possible decks to build.

Depending on where you place your sigils you might get bonuses for adjacency, overlap, and more. With some persisting between turns, or with ongoing effects, and enemies to face that can cast their own hostile sigils to mess with you too.

I really do love the style of this one. Check out their announcement trailer below:

There’s a Steam demo page live for you to follow now too and the game will have Native Linux support. High up on my wishlist this goes!

Bungie Comments On Marathon Nintendo Switch 2 Version

Summary

Bungie’s Marathon may not rule out a port for the rumored Nintendo Switch 2. Marathon will support crossplay and cross-progression, ensuring seamless progress transfer. The game’s release date is set for September 23, competing with Borderlands 4 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

This past weekend, Bungie finally revealed its years-in-the-making project, as the studio showed off Marathon for the first time.

While we already know Marathon is headed to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, is the Nintendo Switch 2 also part of the release platforms planned for the extraction shooter?

Marathon Switch 2 Port Not Ruled Out

Marathon _ Gameplay Reveal Trailer 0-46 screenshot

Marathon game director Joe Zielger recently spoke to Japanese gaming publication Famitsu where the developer was asked about Marathon appearing on the Switch 2.

According to Ziegler (via Pocket Tactics), “At the moment, we don’t have any plans to add additional compatible hardware, but we will consider it in the future.”

Given that the Switch 2 reveal showcased AAA games like Elden Ring running on the console, horsepower might not be a deterrent, though we can’t say for certain. That said, Zielger’s omission of technical limitations as the cause is a good sign that the door for a Marathon Switch 2 port isn’t closed yet.

Thankfully, Marathon is confirmed to support crossplay and cross-progression, so if the title ever comes to Switch 2, and someone wants to jump to the platform, they can just carry over their progress.

Following a recent delay, Nintendo has revealed information on the new pre-order invitation dates for the Nintendo Switch 2.

If you want to try Marathon early, the closed alpha test is set to kick off on April 23, and the PC requirements to run it have been revealed today.

While the Switch 2’s release has been announced for June 5, the latest rumor points to GameStop stock being quite limited, which doesn’t bode well for those planning on snagging a unit on launch day.

Marathon is scheduled for release on September 23 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will be released on the same day as Borderlands 4, which should make for an interesting battle.

What to know about Daredevil: Born Again season 2

What to know about Daredevil: Born Again season 2

Worried about the uncertain ending of Daredevil: Born Again, and wondering when, if ever, the show will return for a second season? With seven years between the final installment of Netflix’s Daredevil and this year’s Daredevil: Born Again, nobody would blame you for assuming the wait will be a long one.

Fortunately, Disney Plus’ more MCU-integrated Daredevil series will return almost unbelievably soon, as far as the realm of comic book TV shows goes. And… there’s maybe even a season 3 on the way?

Daredevil: Born Again season 2: When will it come out?

Photo: Giovanni Rufino/Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios announced they were already planning a Daredevil: Born Again season 2 in August 2024 — not particularly surprising, as the show was initially conceived as a finite 18-episode series. While production was paused for the 2023 Hollywood strikes, Marvel execs made the decision to overhaul the show and rewrite and reshoot some of what had already been shot.

Speaking to The Reel Roundup in February, Marvel Studios head of streaming Brad Winderbaum said that shooting for Born Again season 2’s eight episodes would begin in the first week of March, with a plan to release the season in a year — placing the season premiere in early 2026.

“Hopefully,” Winderbaum concluded, “we’ll be able to expect a new Daredevil season annually.” Marvel Studios hasn’t made any official announcements about a Born Again season 3, however. Though it has announced that it’s working on a solo TV special for Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, also set to air in 2026, at least according to The Hollywood Reporter.

What will Daredevil: Born Again season 2 be about?

We can’t say for certain, but Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen), Wilson Bethel (Bullseye), Clark Johnson (Cherry), Genneya Walton (BB Urich), and Michael Gandolfini (Fisk’s smarmy little Yes Man, Daniel) are all confirmed to return, so expect their plotlines to continue.

Also confirmed to return? Elden Henson (Foggy), despite his character’s death, curiously enough. Could be a flashback, could be a Catholic-guilt-laden dream or hallucination — heck, in the wide world of Marvel Comics Daredevil stories, it wouldn’t be unheard of for Matt to make a trip to literal hell to get Foggy back. We’ll have to wait and see.

[Ed. note: The rest of this piece contains spoilers for the end of Daredevil: Born Again season 1.]

How does Fisk leave office in the comics?

Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin/Wilson Fisk standing in his mayoral office in a gray suit in Daredevil: Born Again

Photo: Giovanni Rufino/Disney Plus

That’s the million-dollar question asked at the end of Daredevil: Born Again: How can Matt Murdock prevail against a man with criminal and institutional power? Not alone, the finale episode implies, but with the united front of all his allies, vigilantes and civilians alike.

But it’s likely left you wondering how this all turned out in the comics. Daredevil: Born Again is heavily influenced by writer Charles Soule’s 2015 run on Daredevil, in which Wilson Fisk became mayor and a mysterious serial killer/graffiti artist called Muse went on a killing spree. But when Soule left the book in 2018, Fisk was still in power!

In the comics, Wilson Fisk didn’t actually lose the mayoral seat until the Devil’s Reign story arc, from writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Marco Checchetto, in which a city attorney witnesses him beating Matt Murdock to death (it wasn’t actually Matt, it was a guy who looked just like him, but don’t worry about that). It doesn’t seem like Born Again is headed in exactly that direction, but a reputable and righteous witness to one of his acts of brutality would be one way Born Again could get him out of Gracie Mansion.

But if we go back to Soule’s Daredevil, there may be another answer. Fisk does not leave office during Soule’s work, but Matt is still able to use his resources as a district attorney and as Daredevil to dissuade Fisk from enacting his anti-superhuman registration act, eking out at least that win. That could be one direction that Born Again’s writers choose to go in, with Daredevil torpedoing Fisk’s plans to make Red Hook a haven from the law but in a way that leaves the Kingpin’s mayoralty intact.

We’ll find out in 2026!

Silent Mist Switch Review

Silent Mist Switch Review

Silent Mist, on its surface, seems like a scam game, and in many ways it is. The blurb is full of adverbs and obvious BS:”Silent Mist is not just a horror game. It is a descent into fear, isolation, and “the secrets that should have remained lost in the fog.” The game goes on instant sale 70% off. The screenshots are AI enhanced and obviously so.

I wish it looked this good.

This screenshot is of a real part of Silent Mist, but as you’re about to see in this long video, the actual game doesn’t look like it, not even close. Anyways, the video has three part, first displays the opening cutscene and atrocious voice acting. Second section is the above screenshot area. The third shows off the terrible lighting.

Silent Mist game play looks like this: First you find a bunker door, You need a key to open the bunker. Then you see a generator, it need fuel. Walk to the gas station, you need a can and hose. So on down the line it goes. All the while you’re avoiding wood creatures that rattle. They don’t do much damage, and the damage easily heals. There are also the tapes to play, which give an actual story-line. And that’s pretty much the game.

What is an emptiness key?

Is Silent Mist a Scam Game?

Jean Bourjoix is the publisher and I assume the developer of Silent Mist. Work went into this, there is a story-line here, even if its 100% cliche and voice acted by friends.. It’s just one-hundred percent grade-A Garbage, which gets a two back-end score. You’ve played this game before. I’ve even reviewed better games like this. In the end, this might as well be a scam, as it has about the same level of quality as the average scam title.

Overall: Silent Mist doesn’t appear to be a scam horror game, but it might as well be with how awful it is.

Verdict: Garbage

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2.4 Brings Hardcore Mode To The Medieval RPG

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2.4 Brings Hardcore Mode To The Medieval RPG

For some, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II set a surprisingly high difficulty bar right from the start of the game. However, Warhorse Studio clearly had more tricks up its sleeve, as today’s Patch 1.2.4 update brings a new Hardcore mode to the table for the most dedicated of KCD2 players.

Hardcore Mode, which was revealed earlier this month, adds multiple new obstacles to Henry of Skalitz’s adventure, including the removal of fast travel and a list of negative perks that must be selected before the game begins. Among the negative effects are Sweaty, which makes Henry smell worse when he goes without showering, Bashful, which removes the ability to ask villagers for directions, and Somnambulant, which turns Henry into a sleepwalker–whenever he lays down to rest, he can wake up in a completely different place.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Patch 1.4.2 also adds multiple fixes and rebalances to the non-Hardcore experience as well, including rebalanced prices on herbs, a new hairstyle for Henry, and fixed save-file issues for Xbox players specifically. The full Patch 1.4.2 notes are below.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II launched February 4 to critical acclaim, as it currently averages an 88 overall on GameSpot’s sister site Metacritic. GameSpot’s 9/10 review called it “utterly enticing,” and described it as “a rich and sprawling adventure that effortlessly oscillates between medieval drama and slice-of-life hijinks in a world that feels distinctly alive.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Is Real – Screenshots Leaked

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Is Real – Screenshots Leaked

Following numerous rumours fuelled by insiders, the alleged remake/remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion has now been all but officially confirmed to be real as screenshots begin appearing online.

The remake/remaster has been known about behind the scenes for quite some time now, and is even reportedly going to be shadow dropped by the end of this month, something which these screenshots seem to confirm.

So, how did these screenshots come about? Rather simply, as it turns out. Fans have begun poking around Virtous’ (the company that appears to be handling development) website for a while now in the hopes of turning up something. Their diligence has paid off, because several people uncovered screenshots that have been uploaded to the developer’s website which show off the game.

It turns out many images were simply sitting in the website’s upload folder which hadn’t been made private. Virtous has quickly rectified that problem, and begun locking down other screenshots as well, but the damage is already done.

“I checked the website, inspected a random image element in hope I could find something,” Taurnil told one user who asked how they found the images. “Turns out they’re using wordpress and the uploads-folder contains these images. Didn’t really expect to find this though!”

Another user by the name of GhostofPuffers also found comparison screenshots which show off what the remake/remaster looks like compared to the original game. It’s a significant overhaul, owing to the fact that this remaster/remake is alleged to be running on Unreal Engine 5.

These images could theoretically be faked in an elaborate hoax, but they do seem to have been genuinely hosted on Virtous’ own website, making that very unlikely.

Considering the amount of work that seems to have been put into this new version of the game, though, I do find myself questioning the reasoning behind shadow dropping Oblivion. Sure, I imagine it will have no trouble finding a ready and willing audience, myself included, but it seems crazy to me that Microsoft wouldn’t want to spend at least a little marketing budget on it prior to launch.

We will find out soon enough though, because if the reports are accurate the game will be dropped onto our laps in the coming weeks.

John Boyega Has Talked With Kevin Feige About Joining The MCU

John Boyega Has Talked With Kevin Feige About Joining The MCU

Image: Disney

In furtherance of Marvel President Kevin Feige’s Thanos-like quest to collect all of the best actors to power his Marvel money-making machine, another award-winning actor has entered his orbit. During a panel at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), John Boyega revealed he has had conversations with the MCU mastermind about who he would be interested in playing if he just so happens to find himself in world of Marvel. And he somewhat has an answer.

X account @MCUFilmNews reports that during the aforementioned panel, Boyega confirmed that he has spoken with Feige at least once about potentially joining the MCU. While he didn’t have an answer for Feige at the time when he was asked who he might like to play, the C2E2 crowd helped him with his indecision when one attendee loudly suggested he play time-traveling X-Men hero Bishop. In response, Boyega agreed: “Oh, I’d play Bishop.”

Now, before you start slamming on your keyboards pumping out Bishop and Storm romance fanfiction, nothing about what Boyega said should be construed as confirmation of anything more than him being open to the possibility of someday being part of the most profitable film franchise of the 21st century. However, him even entertaining the possibility marks a considerable shift from his stance in 2022 when he told Men’s Health that Marvel wasn’t what he envisioned for his career at the time because “I want to donate my services to original indie films that come with new, fresh ideas, because I know it’s real hard to top Iron Man in that universe.”

Since then he’s played a financially devastated man turned bank robber in the indie film Breaking, starred alongside Viola Davis in the phenomenal The Woman King, and starred opposite Jamie Foxx in the Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone. Those early aversions to superhero movies shouldn’t completely shut down the possibility of him joining the MCU. If Ethan Hawke can join Moon Knight a few years after he famously commented that he finds the superhero movie genre somewhat lacking in artistic merit in 2018, anything is possible.

Popular Schedule 1 Mods Contain Malware – ISK Mogul Adventures

Schedule 1 has been blowing up on social media and Twitch lately, with literally everyone and their friends getting in on the craze. And aside from fleeing the cops and dealing with feinding customers, players have something new to worry about. And now, Schedule 1 malware is something gamers across the globe have to be worried about. As is usual with something that gets very popular overnight, things go badly quickly.

With Schedule 1 still in Early Access, players have been taking updating and adding quality-of-life features to the game with mods, and things have already gone wrong. It would seem that Nexus Mods has a major problem with its security protocols. Maybe implement an upload or update restriction on accounts that have clearly changed hands?

As reported by The Gamer, a new PSA on the Schedule 1 subreddit has alerted players to malware discovered in some popular mods In this case, it would appear the mod author sold their Nexus Mods account to a malicious individual, who then updated the mod with an infected version of the mod.

The mods discovered so far are “Backpack Mod Reupload” and “Increased Stack Size Limit,” and should both be removed ASAP. You should also definitely run multiple anti-malware scans against your machine and change your various passwords if you’ve run the mods.

This isn’t the first time a major game has been the subject of malware controversy either. Everyone from modders to cheaters have had to deal with this, so make sure to check ANY files you download, even from trusted sources. You never know who has control over the accounts uploading mods.

[URGENT PSA] Malware Found in 2 Popular Schedule 1 Mods – Uninstall Immediatelybyu/HBizzle24 inSchedule_I

There was a rather infamous case of someone doing this exact attack with a Sims community modder account. Various mods were uploaded by hacked accounts that then infected hundreds of machines belonging to Sims fans. The event prompted other developers in the scene to develop an anti-malware mod that would check running files for malicious behavior.

In the gaming space, malware masquerading as mods is very common. There are also a few examples of developers injecting malicious code into DLC, such as a flight sim game pushing malware as “DRM”.

Various major companies have also been subject to a “supply chain” attack where a malicious actor injects code into an underlying piece of software that gets used in tons of games and mods. One attack hit ASUS and their live update tool, infecting tens of thousands of machines.
