Gallery

While previous Borderlands games had a single Golden Chest that could be unlocked with Golden Keys, Borderlands 4 has four of them scattered around the primary safehouses of Kairos–Belton’s Bore, The Launchpad, Carcadia, and The Lockaway. You’ll find your first one early in the game, and the rest you’ll unlock as you continue the campaign.

What are Shift codes?

A reward system comprised of 25-character codes, Shift codes have been around since the days of Borderlands 2. Typically, these reward players with Golden Keys that can then be used in a special treasure chest, but they can also unlock cosmetics to be used in a Borderlands game. Codes also have an expiry date, usually ranging between 48 hours and a week, and they’re found online through affiliated social media channels.

How to redeem Shift codes

To redeem your Shift code, you’ll first need to create a Shift account on the Gearbox website. This is quick and easy to do, and you can then activate your Shift codes on the same website or via the in-game Social menu or via Borderland 4’s Social menu at launch. The other thing to note about Shift codes is that they typically have expiration dates, so it’s a good idea to redeem one as soon as possible.

From there, you can bank the rewards if they turn out to be Golden Keys, or splurge and use all of them to grab some new gear in one go.

One important note: The rewards contained within these chests scale to your current level, so you may want to consider waiting to use a Golden Key. Otherwise, using one early in the game will net you low-level gun as opposed to one you can use long-term.

For more on Borderlands 4, you can see how Gearbox plans to keep you looting and shooting after launch, how to get a free Borderlands 4 gun skin, and this deep dive into every Vault Hunter in the game.

How to Clean Yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

How to Clean Yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Keeping Henry clean and his clothes clean plays a vital role in being charismatic in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The NPCs in KCD2 judge you on your appearance and smell so, if you smell bad or dirty, they will ignore you most of the time. It is essential to keep Henry and his clothes clean all the time to be charismatic so that you can pass the skill checks easily. In this guide, we will tell you how to clean yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

How to Clean Yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

There are two main ways through which you can clean yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. These methods include washing yourself at a trough and taking a bath at a bathhouse. Both of these methods have their own characteristics and you can pursue each one accordingly.

Wash Yourself at the Trough in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Wash yourself at a trough to clean yourself in KCD2
Wash yourself at a trough to clean yourself in KCD2

Washing at the trough only removes the dirt and fresh blood stains from Henry and his clothes. Spending a lot of time in exploration or getting into a fight will make you both dirty and bloody, so before you head to any certain NPC with whom you have to pass a skill check, it is best to wash yourself at the trough first.

You can find the trough in almost every town and village across both regions in KCD2. The troughs are a wooden tub with water inside. Simply interact with it and Henry will wash himself and remove any possible stains.

Take a Bath at the Bathhouse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Now, if you stay dirty for a long time, you will begin to smell which cannot be removed by washing at the trough. In such a scenario, you will have to take a bath at the bathhouse. The bathhouses are usually located in major towns and villages across both the regions. To get the services of a bathhouse, you have to speak to either the owner of the bathhouse or the maid of the bathhouse.

There are various services that you can get at the bathhouse including taking a bath, fixing your wounds, taking a bath, washing clothes, and even having a pleasant time with the maid along with all the services. However, each service will cost accordingly and if you are going for the best service, then it will cost you more Groschen.

Out of both of these methods, taking a bath is more efficient as it will replenish your health, wash your clothes, and clean you completely. It will make you charismatic again and you can easily persuade NPCs.

That is all related to how to clean yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Battlefield 6 is the first Battlefield to launch with EA’s new kernel-level Javelin Anticheat

Battlefield 6 is the first Battlefield to launch with EA’s new kernel-level Javelin Anticheat

Battlefield 6 has been officially revealed. EA spelled a lot of the beans as part of the worldwide multiplayer gameplay reveal event, which also featured hours of live gameplay from hundreds of content creators.

All of that is to say: most of the important details have been confirmed. That also includes certain specifics that have to do with the PC version of the game, and you can be certain not everyone is going to enjoy this news.

Manage cookie settings

Battlefield Studios has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will launch with Javelin Anticheat on PC, EA’s own kernel-level anticheat programme, which runs in the background to detect and prevent cheats. Javelin Anticheat was given its name in April this year, but the tech has been around since 2022 in some form.

EA has already implemented Javelin in several of its games, including EA FC, Madden, the F1 games, and more besides. The tech – then known as EA Anticheat – first arrived in a Battlefield game with Battlefield 2042’s Season 6, so it only makes sense that the next major entry in the series would launch with it.

Javelin Anticheat will also be present in the upcoming beta, so it’s going to be a good opportunity to test out the tech on a wide range of PC configurations. The beta will also require enabling Secure Boot in Windows. Secure Boot is a Windows security feature that itself relies on TPM 2.0, a hardware security feature that the vast majority of modern PCs support.

The existence of kernel-level anticheat in a major release is neither rare nor is it surprising. Even outside of EA’s own games, many modern releases with core multiplayer elements rely on one brand of kernel-level anticheat or another. Vendors like BattlEye, and Easy Anti-Cheat are some of the most well known.

Battlefield’s major competitor, Call of Duty, has its own solution called Ricochet.

The idea of allowing third-party software – anticheat services, in this case – access to such a low level of your PC’s operating system has always been controversial. The arguments against it are plentiful; it prevents most games that use it from working on Linux/SteamOS, for instance.

It has, however, proven to be one of the most effective against combating many of the tricks modern cheats rely on. It’s obviously not perfect, but it’s become accepted as something you’ll have to enable if you want to play modern AAA multiplayer games.

Battlefield 6 arrives October 10 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

10 Strongest To Be Hero X Characters – Ranked

10 Strongest To Be Hero X Characters – Ranked

I live for the moment a hero’s Trust bar flashes gold, so ranking the franchise’s heavy hitters felt like balancing a charged particle on a chopstick. Power here is fickle; one scandal and your sky-flight turns into a nosedive, yet raw feats still carve out legends.

I re-watched every promo, every trailer, every frame where reality bends from clapping crowds, tallying the moves that left me slack-jawed. This countdown starts with an underdog in borrowed tights and ends with a suit-and-tie anomaly who rewrites gravity for fun.

9 Anime Heroes Who Became Villains And Why We Loved Them Anyway

Despite some anime heroes’ transformation into villains, we still love them.

Belief fuels them, fear haunts them, and somewhere in between I found a clean top ten.

10

Nice (Lin Ling) – Official Rank 10

Borrowed Cape, Earned Cheers

Nice (Lin Ling) – Official Rank 10

Lin Ling entered the spotlight wearing someone else’s smile, and I swore the Trust system held its breath. Public faith morphed him into the late Nice, granting flight, polished strength, and a ballet kick that snaps jaws.

He cracked villains while juggling impostor guilt, even one-punching Fear-amped Cheng Yaojin; the crowd never spotted the sweat behind his grin, but I did. Each victory stapled the disguise tighter, yet the real Lin kept leaking through in stubborn sparkles.

The turning point came when he decked God Eye under his own banner; in that punch I felt a brand-new Trust blooming for The Commoner. Borrowed legend? Fine. Now he writes his own.

9

E-Soul – Official Rank 9

Lightning in Black-and-Blue Armor

E-Soul – Official Rank 9

A thunderclap announces E-Soul, and my screen whites out before I can blink. Electrokinesis crackles along metal plates, turning him into a living Tesla coil that blitzes crooks into cinders.

Speed is his punctuation; crimes end mid-sentence when that blue blur slides past. Fans idolize the seasoned saviour, yet the Moon assassination reminds me heroism here owns sharp corners.

Legacy matters too: Yang Cheng’s entire dream hangs on this cyborg silhouette. One electrified legend can inspire generations, even while hiding scarred morals beneath the visor.

8

Ahu – Official Rank 8

Gratitude-Powered Shapeshifting Pup

Ahu – Official Rank 8

I never thought a bowler-hat dog could rule highlight reels, then Ahu twirled into a samurai and diced a warehouse in four paws flat. He drinks in public thanks like isotonic fuel, flipping forms faster than I can name them.

Each gratitude burst welds new skill sets onto his frame; swordplay one second, aerial ace the next, always with that grumpy muzzle.

Looking at him fight feels like scrolling a weapon wheel on shuffle. Hospitalised kid cheering on TV? Ahu levels up instantly, proof that warm hearts can load bigger ammo than fear ever does.

7

Lucky Cyan – Official Rank 7

Pop Anthem, Photon Arrow

Lucky Cyan – Official Rank 7

Spotlights pop, bass drops, and Lucky Cyan strings a bow of pure light; I feel the stadium roar course through my chest before her first arrow flies. Her fandom is her quiver, each chorus charging arrows hot enough to punch through reinforced drones.

On stage she sings sincerity, off stage she tangles villains in radiant barrages that trace musical staves across the sky. I catch her eyes mid-song; they scream believe in me and honestly, I stan.

Yet fame is brittle. One sour note could torch half her arsenal; keeping crowds in harmony is tougher than any boss fight, and that tightrope fascinates me.

6

Loli – Official Rank 6

Pint-Sized Engineer With Giant Toys

Loli – Official Rank 6

The mecha lands behind Loli with a seismic thud, and the audience gasps because she barely tops its ankle. Tech genius drips from every rivet, her battle suit adjusting strength curves in real time.

She giggles through combat like a gamer speed-running a familiar level, tossing homing drones and rail-cannon bursts with reckless precision. Confidence radiates; Trust numbers follow.

I love the thin line she walks: if the crowd stops believing her gadgets will work, circuits could fizzle mid-punch. For now, her inventions sparkle, and I’m sitting front row for each upgrade patch.

5

The Johnnies – Official Rank 5

Mascot Mayhem Times Two

The Johnnies – Official Rank 5

Little Johnny whistles, Big Johnny snarls, and suddenly the battlefield looks like a children’s book caught in a wood chipper. Zoolingual commands swarm pigeons and pit bulls alike, herding thugs toward the real spectacle; Big Johnny’s berserk morph.

Horned fur and boulder fists smash tanks, yet only Little Johnny’s calm voice pulls him back; that trust loop melts crowds every time.

Their fights read like chaos poetry: cute, lethal, wildly marketable. Public adores waltzing danger they can root for, and the duo bottles that thrill with mascot charm.

4

Ghostblade – Official Rank 4

Silence Sharper Than Steel

Ghostblade – Official Rank 4

No footsteps, no quips, just the whisper of a drawn sword, and bodies drop before fear catches up. Ghostblade’s emotionless mask unnerves me more than gore.

His cuts trace perfect geometry, villains folding along invisible seams while social feeds explode with edits of that icy glare. Trauma carved out his voice long ago, leaving surgical focus the audience romanticises as stoic virtue.

When the mask lifts mid-promo, the internet crashes; beauty plus lethality equals Trust gold. He never speaks, yet his blade narrates everything, and critics can only guess what scars power each strike.

3

Dragon Boy – Official Rank 3

Purple Hair, Iron Jaw

Dragon Boy – Official Rank 3

I swear Dragon Boy enjoys getting hit. Punches echo, tattoos glow, and he laughs like pain pays rent. Resilience borders on reckless immortality; walls crumble before his grin does.

He rocket-kicks across alleys, slamming crooks through trucks then walking out of the dust ready for round two. That hunger for Rank 1 feels tangible, a heatwave blasting off his aura.

Crowds dig raw ambition they can measure in cracked pavement. Every bruise he shrugs off feeds the myth, and I keep wondering which will break first: the concrete or the ceiling above him.

2

Queen – Official Rank 2

Golden Spear of Absolute Justice

Queen – Official Rank 2

Streets hush when golden armor blossoms around Queen; light refracts like stained glass, crowning her ruling presence. She believes she sets the rules, so the world complies.

Spear constructs pierce tanks as easily as rumor mills, and one beam shot vaporises rooftop snipers clean from the skyline. Fans chant her name like a royal decree; villains hear a verdict.

1

X – Official Rank 1

The Suit Who Rewrites Reality

X – Official Rank 1

Everything tilts when X strolls in: colors flatten, cars fold into origami swords, and my concept of physics files for unemployment. He snaps fingers; time pauses to listen.

Opponents lunge, then freeze as two-dimensional graffiti on brick walls. Space, matter, perspective, and everything in between; he edits them like slideshow layers, smiling as if it is basic spreadsheet work.

No affiliation, no public diary, just whispered omnipotence the Trust meter cannot quantify. I watch him bend the show’s animation style itself, and realize the list ends here because rankings need reality; X carries his own.

Can ARC Raiders be the extraction shooter for everyone? | TheSixthAxis

Can ARC Raiders be the extraction shooter for everyone? | TheSixthAxis

It’s often best to quit while you’re ahead, to figure out when you’ve had enough and that it’s time to go home. The problem in ARC Raiders is that heading home sets off a loud klaxon that alerts nearby robots and other people to the fact that someone is leaving, and they probably want your stuff. Or maybe they just want to get home as well? You never quite know who’s going to round the corner, and whether they’ll be professing a desire to make it out together, to come all guns blazing… or maybe even both.

Extraction shooters, survival games and battle royales have spent the better part of the last decade with a bit of a rough and tumble reputation. Some of the biggest examples of each have sprung up from next to nowhere, with their roots in the modding community or indie development, and they’ve all left the major publishers completely confounded for how to try and adapt them into their own money-making machines.

Of the three, it’s extraction shooters that I feel have had the toughest time to be adapted. Battle royales are easy – it’s just last player standing – while survival games often have both co-op and PvP servers to let you get the experience you want, but the core nature of an extraction shooter, where you can lose not only what you’ve just gathered, but also what you actually brought with you on this excursion, is a particularly tricky concept to balance. Certainly it’s one that I’ve found difficult to psyche myself up for. The stakes feel so much higher, the possibility of failure just seconds away, and with little to no recourse.

Playing ARC Raiders for a few hours in a pre-release preview, and during the Server Slam test before then, the game does a good job of getting you into the flow of the game and skirting around the cost of failure. After working through the tutorial where you character is ambushed, robbed, but then makes it to an elevator with a kindly operator, you’re then handed your first mission as a Raider. The goal is simple, to head back to the surface, do some light scavenging and then get back home. ARC Raiders tracks that goal – to rummage through three potential loot containers – whether you make it back home or not, so you’re still rewarded even if you bumble into another player or get overwhelmed by ARC robots.

Those robots come in many shapes and sizes, from the small spider-like Ticks that want to show you their best Alien Facehugger impression, through the Snitch that scans for activity and can call in reinforcements if not taken down quickly enough, and up to the more formidable Bombardier drone and the imposing Queen. You’ll do well to avoid too much trouble that engaging them can cause – blasting bots makes quite a lot of noise and can draw more unwanted attention – but they’re also a valuable source of power cells and other resource for crafting.

There’s always a chance that you’ll find something really special, and that could ordinarily bring a lot of added pressure to make it back out alive. That’s where one of ARC Raiders’ best design choices comes in, with a Safe Pocket that lets you stash something that won’t be lost if and when you die. It’s such a small thing, but if you’re after one particular component or find something of high rarity, it’s invaluable to have this.

Returning to Speranza, you’ll find a bunch of progression paths are available to you, both permanent and transient. For your character, you’re earning skill points that you can spend down three paths of a skill tree to enhance particular styles of play, whether it’s stealth, looting, or whatever. You’ll also have to start building up a set of workbenches that will let you craft the key weapons, gadgets, shield, ammo and other gear that you need for filling your loadout – a free loadout is also available for when you don’t want to risk anything… or maybe you don’t actually have anything left! You can also just visit the traders of the town, who will both sell you gear and have some quests for you to follow. The best guy of all, though, is Scrappy the rooster. He’s such a random buddy, but one that will scrounge up a plethora of items and resources for you to use. You can even train him up and get him some quirky cosmetics.

ARC Raiders Scrappy the chicken rooster

There’s a wealth of gear and options to explore, and I really only managed to scratch the surface, even with a generous batch of high-end kit in the test session. Lure grenades can be very useful to draw ARCs away from you (or to bait into rival teams perhaps), but then there’s also mines, door blockers, flares and glow sticks, grapple hooks and others. A lot of what you can carry is defined but the Augment that you hold, which helps lean you into a particular direction by boosting the inventory in different ways. They can enable using heavier shields (which come at a movement speed cost), give you more quick access inventory slots, even more safe pocket slots.

One of the more special things about ARC Raiders is the choice of scenery. Instead of taking players to somewhere real or fictional in Eastern Europe or the Pacific Northwest, ARC Raiders instead heads to Italy and the underground city of Speranza where humanity has taken refuge from the ARC robots that make the surface uninhabitable. There’s all the traits of a post-apocalypse, with the regions having been reclaimed by nature, with busted cars and rusting infrastructure, but Embark has done a great job of capturing what you’d imagine this region to look and feel like, as the maps shift ever northward through Italy. Layer the kind of grimy, lived in retro-futuristic tech and fashion that still make the original Star Wars trilogy so iconic, and there’s an oddly optimistic tone to this game.

ARC Raiders spaceport environment

But… is ARC Raiders actually fun to play? Well, that kind of depends. Across maybe a dozen or so efforts, I managed to extract just a couple times when playing in squads, one time playing it very cautiously to avoid contact with a group that we saw attacking ARC robots a whole bunch, before they ended up coming to the extraction point we triggered and speaking in proximity chat to avoid a final fight. They were good eggs and after effectively teaming up again on the next mission, it was quite saddening that we were blasted from what felt like miles away while trekking up a hill. That was the overriding experience that I had, of being outclassed in combat whenever it struck, and as the rounds rapidly drained my resources, I’m left wondering what the final game will be like.

This was, of course, not a representative experience in that the player pool was so much smaller, the power and skill balance largely fixed. I’d hope and expect that the full game with a much larger community has more variety of approaches, more space for impromptu collaboration and messing around. We’ll no doubt see this manifest quickly after the game’s launch this week.

ARC Raiders encountering another player

What feels clear to me, though, is that ARC Raiders has the potential to quickly become the biggest and best example of the extraction shooter out there. The distinct tone and feel of the world that Embark Studio has created, the feel of the action, the layered progression and systems to try and make failure not feel so final, all builds to what could be this genre’s new gold standard.

Where to Find & Catch Cave Piksii in Palia

Where to Find & Catch Cave Piksii in Palia

Palia offers various types of Bugs that players can catch while doing the Bug Catching Guild. Catching all rarities of bugs is the crucial step of leveling up the Bug Catching Guild to unlock advanced versions of the Belt, as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Bug Catching Guild Store. One of the new Uncommon Bugs that players can catch is the Cave Piksii. This guide will focus on where you can find and how you can catch the Cave Piksii in Palia.

Where to Find Cave Piksii in Palia

The Cave Piksii is one of the new Uncommon bugs in the game that spawn in the Cavern areas of the Elderwood map region. Moreover, it has a chance of spawning after foraging for the Staircase Mushrooms in Elderwood. The Staircase Mushrooms grow along the walls of caves in Elderwood. Some of the best cavern areas to find Cave Piksii and Staircase Mushroom are Lilac Cavern, Red Blossom, and Central Stables.

How to Catch Cave Piksii in Palia

Catching the Cave Piksii is easier than most bugs in Elderwood. It is because they spawn inside the cavern area, so they have a small room to fly around. Moreover, you can easily locate it due to its small size and blue color. If you don’t come across any Cave Piksii in the cavern areas, start foraging for the Staircase Mushrooms. It will have a chance of spawning as you forage for the mushroom. Upon finding the Cave Piksii, use the Smoke Bombs to stun it.

Additionally, stunning the Cave Piksii will require a couple of Smoke Bombs, so make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Cave Piksii gets alerted, it will try to flee by moving in a straight line. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it. Once you have stunned the Cave Piksii, go near it and interact with it to pick it up.

NOTE: There is a chance you might run into an infected Cave Piksii, which has a darker aura around it. If that happens, you need to use the Elderwood Smoke Bombs instead of regular Smoke Bombs. The Elderwood Smoke Bombs recipe is given by Najuma during the Bugging Out quest.

Catching the infected Cave Piksii will also drop some Infected Essence.

Uses of Cave Piksii in Palia

Cave Piksii is one of the main requirements to complete the Nature of Shadows main quest for Subira. Moreover, if you have the Brighteye Amulet (Relic), you can use 6 Cave Piksii to upgrade the Relic to Level 3. Other than that, players can sell Cave Piksii for 49 Gold (Base) and 73 Gold (Star Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or those who need it. If you catch any Cave Piksii, store it in the storage so you can give it to villagers who need it. The needs of villagers change every week, so keep your eyes on them.

That is all related to where to find and catch Cave Piksii in Palia.
