Where to find trial locations in Dune Awakening

Where to find trial locations in Dune Awakening

None have mastered Arrakis as the Fremen did. To survive in Dune: Awakening, you’ll have follow their steps and learn their way by completing hidden trials.

In the Trials of Aql, you learn all Fremen deeply understoof Arrakis and how to thrive in its hostile environment. Accessing these precious sources of information requires risking your life and getting close to being attacked by a sandworm or worse — running out of water.

Our in-progress Dune: Awakening guide will cover the location of all the trials, so you don’t need to worry about getting lost in the vast desert of Arrakis.

While progressing Duna: Awakening’s main story, you’ll want to pursue the Trials of Aql. These are special missions that, in addition to introducing more information about the Fremen (the people of Arrakis), will unlock new pieces of gear for you to craft. In our experience with the game, we know that there are at least five trials to be completed. To start a trial, you first need to find its respective Aql Altar.

The location of a trial is indicated by the quest if you enter the Journey menu and select the available missions in the “Find the Fremen” section. By clicking on “View Trial Location,” you can see an image of where the altar is. However, the game won’t tell you exactly where the location is on the map, making it a quite stressful treasure hunt.

Below, we go over all trial locations in Dune: Awakening we’ve found so far, indicating on the map where you will find the altars.

First Trial location in Dune: Awakening

Completing the first Trials of Aql in Dune: Awakening is part of the main quest. During the Echoes from the Past main quest, you need to find the entrance to the altar. You find the first trial on the largest rock formation in the South part of Hagga Basin South.

Approach it from the west and follow the path upward. You’ll find an opening to your right, which will take you to Mihna Cavern, where you can interact with the altar and start the first trial. Hide from the giant eyes and make your way through the level to complete it.

Second Trial location in Dune: Awakening

A Dune: Awakening screenshot showing the map of the Eastern Vermeillius Gap region and where the second Trials of Aql is located.

You can go after the second Trial of Aql once you enter the Eastern Vermilius Gap. This new area is more aggressive than the initial one, so be sure to apply all you have learned — and some of the tips we’ve prepared for you — so far to survive. The second Trial is located to the southeast of the largest rock formation, inside a location called the Deep Struggle.

A montage of two Dune: Awakening screenshots showing the path to the entrance to the second Trial of Aql.

You will find the entrance by approaching the location from the east side, passing through a gate with a blue Eye symbol, and going up. At the top of the stairs, use your knife to open the path and then turn left to go downward into a hole that takes you to where the trial is. During this trial, you unlock the Static Compactor schematic, which allows you to collect Flour Sand.

Third Trial location in Dune: Awakening

A Dune: Awakening screenshot showing the map of the the Western Vermillious Gap and where the third Trial of Aql is located.

Image: Funcom via Polygon

When it comes to finding the third Trial in Dune: Awakening, travel to the Western Vermilius Gap. The entrance is located in the large rocky area at the edge of the map. Be prepared because you will need to face a few enemies before you can enter the altar. Since you need to cross a long distance in the desert, which might call the attention of the sandworm, consider first going south to a small area.

A Dune: Awakening screenshot showing a character inside a large room and a pink arrow pointing to the corridor players must follow to find the third Trial.

Image: Funcom via Polygon

Once you get to the place, follow the main path upward to find the entrance. You will see lots of flags from the clans and inside the first corridor, there are three enemies to face. Two of them have shields. Defeat them and follow the only path available inside the cave. It will lead you to where the altar is. Because the Emperor’s forces destroyed the altar, there is no trial to complete.

We are still exploring Arrakis and looking for the remaining trials in Dune: Awakening. Once the path of the Fremen becomes clear to us, we will update this guide!

Hentai Sport Steam Review

Hentai Sport Steam Review

Warning: Hentai Sport is Hentai slop, therefore NSFW!

For much of 2025, the Game Slush Pile was on life support, mostly cause I was demoralized by AI slop. Then last week, I came back with a vengeance, writing six reviews and an editorial in a weeks time. So what am I doing reviewing Hentai Sport(not to be confused with this game of the same name)? So I can make a point, a point you already know. The AI slop that overran the Nintendo eShop is alive and well on Steam, just Steam does a very good job of hiding it. You can’t even find much of the hentai slop on the Adults only page. I only knew about this game because I went to the uncurated new release page, which is buried behind several clicks. UwU, the developer, might as well be Pakotime, with a weekly delivery of hentai slop for your enjoyment, Hentai Sport being the latest. The kicker is that I know it costs $100 to post a game to steam. So, UWU has to get enough suckers to buy this garbage to make it profitable to do so.

That’s her armpit in the lower left, not her crotch.

The actual content, if you want to call it that, of Hentai Sport is the same as a Pakotime game. Its a tile swap game, just this time you can have the game solve the puzzles for you. Just click the check-mark in the upper right corner and viola, the AI generated picture is solved. There is literally no point in plopping money down for this. You might have as well throw money at one of the umpteen Hentai generators out there and generate your own images. Or, unlike the Switch, there are a thousand better adult titles on Steam, I reviewed two this week(PumPum 2 being one of them). Hentai Sport gets a Garbage with a one score.

Overall: Hentai Sport is tile swapping hentai sludge longtime readers should be familiar with. No different here than on the Switch.

Verdict: Garbage

Score: 1

New Witcher 3 DLC Rumored from CD Projekt Red And Fool’s Theory

New Witcher 3 DLC Rumored from CD Projekt Red And Fool’s Theory

CD Projekt Red’s “unannounced” project with Fool’s Theory may not be so mysterious after all. According to a very reliable Polish Youtuber with over a million subscribers, the two studios are working on a brand-new, story-driven DLC for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt — and yes, this is happening ten years after the game’s original release.

Please note, all quoutes below were acquired using Youtube’s own transcription and then run through translation software. As such, it may not be 100% accurate.

“It turns out that the mysterious, unannounced project by CD Projekt Red being developed by Fool’s Theory is a story-driven DLC for The Witcher 3.”

“This information has been confirmed by several independent sources.”

The report comes from reliable Polish gaming insider Remigiusz Maciaszek (video above) who has been sitting on the info for a while, waiting for more substantial confirmation. That came during CDPR’s recent quarterly results, where they mentioned a collaboration with Fool’s Theory on an unannounced project — enough to get the wheels turning.

“For me, a key moment was CD Projekt mentioning during their quarterly results that they’re working on an unannounced project with Fool’s Theory,” Remigiusz Maciaszek said.

“At first, I couldn’t believe it — it sounded so abstract.”

But in hindsight, it’s not that outlandish. The Witcher 3 recently got a next-gen update and continues to sell well nearly a decade after launch. In fact, it just recently topped 60 million copies sold, putting it in a very elite class. A new DLC, even this late in the game, makes a lot of business sense.

“Now, a very important thing: we need to separate what we do know from what we don’t know,” said Remigiusz.

“We know that this is DLC for The Witcher 3.”

As for what’s next, the timeline is reportedly already sketched out. First come mod tools for consoles – which we got very recently – then this Witcher 3 DLC, followed by The Witcher 4, and eventually the Witcher 1 remake which has been rumoured for ages.

“We know the order: first the console mods, then the Witcher 3 DLC, then The Witcher 4, and then the Witcher 1 Remake,” Remigiusz stated.

Almost nothing is known about the story DLC, but Remigiusz and his co-host speculate that it will likely be a bridge between the events of The Witcher 3 and the upcoming Witcher 4 in which Ciri is the main character.

“I bet this DLC will tease or steer us toward The Witcher 4 in some way — as marketing for the new game.”

As for the developer’s, Fool’s Theory is no stranger to Geralt’s world. In fact, it was founded by some of the core developers behind The Witcher 3, including lead quest designer Jakub Rokosz, who was responsible for the fan-favourite “Ice Giant” quest.

No official announcement has been made by CD Projekt Red yet, and with anything like this, a pinch of salt is recommended — but given the calibre of the team, and the studio’s continued investment in the Witcher IP, this is an exciting prospect. If true, The Witcher 3 may be getting one last ride into battle — and it could even be Geralt’s big last hurrah before he officially hands the silver sword over to Ciri. Although Geralts ending has already happened in the Blood and Wine expansion, so this is likely to be something like a look at how Ciri’s got her new powers – and lost her old ones.

Avengers Directors Had To Spend Hours Convincing Epic Games To Put Thanos In Fortnite

Avengers Directors Had To Spend Hours Convincing Epic Games To Put Thanos In Fortnite

In 2018, as part of the promotion for Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos was added to Fortnite, complete with the Infinity Gauntlet and some dance moves that would make John Travolta blush. But it may not have ever happened if Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo hadn’t directly lobbied Epic Games to bring Thanos into the world of Fortnite.

During The Game Business Live, Pete Wanat–the president of interactive technology for the Russos’ AGBO–revealed that Epic’s former chief creative officer, Donald Mustard, wasn’t initially on board with having Thanos in Fortnite. That’s why Anthony and Joe Russo spent hours convincing him go forward with it.

“Originally it was like, ‘No, we are not interested in putting outside characters into Fortnite,'” recalled Wanat. “And Joe and Anthony got together and had a phone call with Donald. It was supposed to be a half-hour call, but five-and-a-half hours later, they were still talking about it. And Donald basically changed his mind. He said, ‘Hey, you know what, we’re going to do this.’ And after that, the world exploded about what kind of integrations you could have between film and TV and games.”

Mustard ultimately went on to work directly for the Russos at AGBO, while dancing Thanos became a meme that confused his MCU actor, Josh Brolin.

Once Thanos paved the way for outside characters to appear in Fortnite, it opened the floodgates. A John Wick skin followed the next year, and the trend continued this year with a Darth Vader who can speak with the AI-generated voice of the late James Earl Jones.

Starting Friday, June 13, Hank Hill from King of the Hill, Cleveland Brown from Family Guy, and Bob Belcher from Bob’s Burgers will all be added to Fortnite for Father’s Day.

11-Month Battle Over AI Finally Ends As Striking Game Actors Reach Tentative Deal

11-Month Battle Over AI Finally Ends As Striking Game Actors Reach Tentative Deal

A nearly year-long battle between SAG-AFTRA game actors and the major publishers over AI protections for performances is set to end, after both sides reached a tentative agreement this week. Details of the deal haven’t yet been released, but the union says it includes “necessary AI guardrails” as companies adopt tools to copy, replicate, and alter the work of actors.

The 10 companies involved in the agreement are Activision Productions Inc., Blindlight LLC, Disney Character Voices Inc., Electronic Arts Productions Inc., Epic Games Inc., Formosa Interactive LLC, Insomniac Games Inc., Take 2 Productions Inc., and WB Games Inc. SAG-AFTRA says more about the deal will be shared after members vote to ratify it in the coming weeks. The two sides are still hashing out the terms of the strike suspension agreement, however, so actors will remain on strike for a little longer.

“Everyone at SAG-AFTRA is immensely grateful for the sacrifices made by video game performers and the dedication of the Interactive Media Agreement Negotiating Committee throughout these many months of the video game strike,” SAG-AFTRA chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said in a press release. “Patience and persistence has resulted in a deal that puts in place the necessary A.I. guardrails that defend performers’ livelihoods in the A.I. age, alongside other important gains.”

The strike began last July, and while it involved demands for pay raises and better onsite working conditions, the biggest sticking point throughout negotiations was the role AI might play in voice recording and performance capture. While actors are currently paid on a session by session basis for specific performances, AI models would make it easy for companies to take that data and replicate an actor’s voice or movements, either altering their creative output or replacing it altogether.

Back in March, Ashly Burch who plays Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn shared her concerns about AI replacing actors after an internal tech demo at Sony showed an AI-controlled Aloy having a conversation with a player. SAG-AFTRA recently filed an unfair labor practice against Epic Games for using an AI-voiced Darth Vader in Fortnite while still in negotiations. Meanwhile, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney has said he foresees a possible future in which all NPCs are AI-controlled.

As the strike continued throughout last fall and into 2025, actors in some games saw themselves replaced by other artists in projects like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Zenless Zone Zero, as game companies sought to continue releasing updates. Games like Destiny 2, meanwhile, simply left some characters completely silent who would have otherwise voiced dialogue. Some SAG-AFTRA actors voiced their frustration with the duration of the strike in recent weeks.

“I hope SAG-AFTRA is aware that, either intentionally or through negligence, an environment has been created around IMA negotiations whereby it is impossible to express a good-faith disagreement without being dismissed as anti-union, a management shill, or both,” voice actor William Salyers, who voiced Otto Octavius in Spider-Man 2, wrote on Threads last week. “The damage being done by this will persist long after the strike is settled.” Jennifer Hale, best known as Commander Shepard in Mass Effect, added, “Vilifying those differences only divides the community.”

Update 6/11/2025 4:54 p.m. ET: The strike officially ended at 3:00 p.m. ET on June 11 as the national SAG-AFTRA board meets to review the tentative agreement and present to members for ratification.

“We are pleased to have reached a tentative contract agreement that reflects the important contributions of SAG-AFTRA-represented performers in video games,” a spokesperson for the video game producers party to the Interactive Media Agreement wrote in a statement. “This agreement builds on three decades of successful partnership between the interactive entertainment industry and the union. It delivers historic wage increases of over 24% for performers, enhanced health and safety protections, and industry-leading AI provisions requiring transparency, consent and compensation for the use of digital replicas in games. We look forward to continuing to work with performers to create new and engaging entertainment experiences for billions of players throughout the world.”

Coloring Game Girls Steam Review

Coloring Game Girls Steam Review

Warning: Coloring Game Girls is a very lewd game and should be considered NSFW.

Coloring Game Girls and Coloring Game Girls 2(where the screenshots are from) are a pair of paint-by-numbers games for Steam that can also be played on the Steam Deck. Now paint-by-numbers doesn’t have a set audience, its a simple, stress-relieving activity that can be enjoyed by anyone. These games do have a specific audience: heterosexual adult men. That is because you are coloring beautiful woman in various states of undress, raging from bikinis and underwear, to being topless, to buck naked. The sizes range from from small pictures to seventy-five thousand pixel masterpieces that will take you hours.

One of the few pictures I can actually show on this site.

Both games are identical in function. Coloring Games Girls has a more anime-style look to the pictures, while its sequel has a “realistic” drawing style. In either, you pick a color and paint the glowing squares. You cannot fail, just pick an area, paint all the colors and move on. I found it relaxing, and yes, it is titillating to paint lovingly rendered breasts. But most of the time you’ll be painting other things, which is fine too.

Guess what this is! 😀

Coloring Game Girls and Girls 2 comes with a load of options, including different color glows for the paintable tiles, and the 3d effect, and whether you’re using a brush or a paint bucket(useful to fill in large swathes of same tiles). There are several music tracks, but they get repetitive, might as well silence. You’ll using be a mouse or a keyboard on the PC. On the deck, you’ll primarily be using the touchscreen and the shoulder buttons(to govern zoom). The left sticks moves the painting around.

The only thing I can show of this painting!

Coloring Game Girls is a paint-by-numbers game for gooners, and that is fine. If you’re looking a for a relaxing time coloring naked women, you cannot go wrong here. This gets a recommended verdict with an eight score. Why not a Must Play? Cause you shouldn’t playing this anywhere but a private place, but you should already know that.

Overall: The Coloring Game Girls games are paint-by-numbers games where you paint naked women. I recommend this game to adult men only.

Verdict: Recommended

Infinity Nikki is getting a big update this week, but will that be enough to turn its Steam review rating around?

Infinity Nikki is getting a big update this week, but will that be enough to turn its Steam review rating around?

Infinity Nikki, the visually impressive, open-world dress-up game that came out late last year, continues to grow with new updates. The game’s latest, arriving this Friday, June 13, is one of its biggest, kicking off a new seasonal chapter.

The Playful Season transforms the in-game city, and introduces some new story content, new outfits, new puzzles, minigames, and more.

Manage cookie settings

The Playful Season (Version 1.6) sees Infinity Nikki’s protagonists, Nikki and Momo, turned into fairies after encountering a cursed fairy apprentice in need of help. To lift the spell, the pair set off on a quest to explore a storybook-like realm with new challenges.

At the core of this update are three new interactive attractions. There’s a photographable sky path where everyone can float in the air, and a pumpkin-shaped ride that’s made up of elevated, winding tracks. Then there’s the rotund chicken trampoline, which makes different sounds depending on where you bounce on it.

This update will require players to use their heads, too, because there’s a series of seven maze challenges to solve. Your goal in each one is the same: find the petrified animals hidden within to reveal the path forward.

Watch on YouTube

You’ll find five new ability outfits in the Playful Season, too. Enchanted Encounter is a five-star outfit that causes nearby animals to float. There are two four-star outfits here as well: the Comic-Style Prince Outfit, and Cloud-Summoning Outfit. Finally, two more limited-time outfits will make a return from previous seasons, one five-star and the other four.

As far as new decoration items, you’ll find a new rocking horse Nikki can sit on, as well as a potion cauldron that releases plumes of smoke depending on the ingredients you toss into it. While all of that sounds good, it remains to be seen whether it’s going to be enough for players. The game currently sits at a Mostly Negative overall Steam review rating, so there’s clearly a lot that needs to be addressed.

Catch up on Infinity Nikki’s latest batch of codes in our guide, and refresh your memory on where to find all crafting materials in the game at the link.

PumPum 2 Steam Review

PumPum 2 Steam Review

Warning: PumPum 2 is on Steam, which means it has full nudity so it is VERY NSFW.

On the Switch, I reviewed a naughty game called PumPum. . I enjoyed it. Yesterday on Steam, I discovered the existence of PumPum 2. I bought it and its 2 extra Girl DLC. Now, with the site’s switch to Steam, I added a caveat to the About page that I won’t review naughty games anymore. That is simply so I don’t get roped into reviewing stuff like Sex with Hitler, and no I’m not linking that. PumPum 2 is tasteful nudes, just with full nudity this time, and since I reviewed the previous game, I’ll review this one.

It all comes off this time!

PumPum 2 is a different game than its predecessor. While that game was tile matching, this is creating strings of same tiles-style puzzle game. I really don’t need to explain the basics, do I? So anyways, On the left side you have your objectives. Complete on objective, she’s in her underwear. Complete two or more objectives, she’s buck naked. Like PumPum before it, the models and animation are exquisite. But the game play is good on its own. The game is not terribly difficult, you can’t lose, but later levels and the DLC levels can take forever.

The only major caveat to PumPum 2 is that despite being Steam Deck Verified, I had a hell of a time playing on my Deck. Play on the PC for maximum enjoyment. A plus is, you can buy the game and the two DLC for about seven dollars in total, less than half the fifteen PumPum cost on Switch(the steam version of PumPum is similarly discounted). So if you’re looking for a cheap and good naughty game, you cannot go wrong with PumPum 2. Gets a Recommended with an 8 score.

Overall: PumPum 2 is a completely different game than its predecessor, but it still has those exquisite boobs to entice you.

Verdict: Recommended

Score: 8
