The next Dead By Daylight update arrives on September 23rd. This is Chapter 37, for which BeHaviour have revealed the perks for Killer, The Krasue, and Survivor, Vee Boonyasak. While the public-test build includes a bunch of other changes, a datamine has shown that the next Dead By Daylight update will include a “Bloodpoint bonus” that is seemingly omitted from the PTB patch notes.
Next Dead By Daylight includes “Bloodpoint bonus” omitted from patch notes
Coinciding with the release of the Chapter 37 PTB, BeHaviour shared the patch notes for 9.2.0. These changes are only active in the public-test build that is restricted to DBD players on Steam. The patch notes include a bunch of Killer and Survivor update as well as bug fixes and more, but apparently there’s more to the patch notes than meets the eye.
According to a datamine from leaker, Wazzup, shared on LeaksDBD by OP, TheOneWhoWasDeceived, update 9.2.0 will add a Bloodpoint bonus. The screenshot shows a code that reads, “The Bloodpoint multiplier bonus added for each unique hook (1.0 corresponds to 100 percent)”.
This obviously pertains to Unique Hook Bonuses for Killers. In the 9.2.0 patch notes, only the following is officially listed for Unique Hook Bonuses:
When hooking a Survivor that is different than the last hooked Survivor, the Killer gains the following effects:
20% bonus to the next damage generator action (“kicking” the generator)
10% Haste for 15 seconds
Breaking a pallet or damaging a Survivor removes this bonus
Reveal all Survivors outside of 40 meters that have less than or equal hook states for 4 seconds (think: basekit Barbecue & Chili)
These effects can only be gained when the Killer performs the hook interaction themselves.
The following Killers have a different set of bonuses:
The Blight, The Dark Lord, The Ghoul, The Hillbilly, The Krasue, and The Nurse
They get:
10% bonus to the next damage generator action
5% Haste for 10 seconds
The same aura reveal bonus as above
These effects are disabled when all generators are completed.
It’s unfathomable why the Bloodpoints bonus isn’t mentioned in the patch notes. As pointed out by one of the replies, “people have been asking for this back for years” and BeHaviour “need to claw back any good will from this community considering the last two updates”.
There is the possibility the Bloodpoint bonus won’t make it to the release of update 9.2.0 as BeHaviour is considering feedback from the community. So far, a lot of reactions to the patch have been overwhelmingly negative, although fans are happy with new Killer, The Krasue, and Survivor, Vee.

Mewgenics looks to be very interesting from the creators of The Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy and The End is Nigh. Just recently, they put up a 50 minute gameplay video giving us the best look yet at the upcoming game. And, it also has a release date now so it will be out February 10th, 2026.
What is it? An endless cat breeding RPG. You level up a team and venture far from home collecting unique items, defeating bosses, gaining mutations and then return home to breed and further your bloodline. Sounds pretty wild.
There’s a ridiculous amount of info to take in from the gameplay reveal, and it’s only part one with more to come. This first video focuses on the start of the game but there’s a lot more to it. And, going by comments on Reddit from developer Edmund McMillen, they plan to have it fully Steam Deck supported at release with testers already playing it on Deck.
Check out the full video below:
Features (from Steam):
200+ of hours of gameplay!
6+ classes, each with 50+ unique abilities to draft from!
800+ of unique items!
hoard 100s of pieces of enchanted furniture!
level up your house to make room for more cats!
200+ enemies and bosses that will upset your mom!
tons of unique NPCs with quests that will make you gasp!
poop!
There was really no chance Hollow Knight: Silksong wasn’t going to be a major hit for Team Cherry; the only question was how much of a hit it was going to be. We no longer need to guess, because the game is out and everyone seems to be onboard.
Silksong has officially become one of Steam’s biggest releases of 2025, and certainly one of the most significant launches for any indie game.

Quickly after Silksong went live last night on Steam, it started shooting up Steam’s Most Played chart, overtaking heavy-hitters like Path of Exile 2 (which, incidentally, just had a major update that boosted its spot), and perennial multiplayer titles like PUBG.
Silksong had no trouble landing into the top five – and staying there. Even at the time of this writing, the game occupies the number three spot, just below DOTA 2, and Counter-Strike 2 with over 317,000 in-game.
Its peak concurrent was a staggering 535,213 players (via SteamDB), which it managed to achieve around 14 hours ago. Silksong is also, of course, Steam’s current number one top-seller, with the game and soundtrack bundle at number two. It is especially impressive that it only spent one week in the top 100, no doubt the result of its gamescom revival and subsequent release date news.
Watch on YouTube
The original Hollow Knight even saw a boost off the back of that reemergence, beating its own all-time Steam concurrent player record just two days ago, as many booted up (and bought) the game in anticipation of the expansion-turned-sequel
And, just like how beloved that game was, it seems Silksong is getting the same level of love from players. As it stands, Silksong has an Overwhelmingly Positive Steam user review rating, based on nearly 16,000 reviews.
All that time spent in development has also seemingly resulted in a polished game, because there’s barely any mention of bugs or any other technical problems. Given this incredible momentum, it’s possible the weekend will boost Silksong’s numbers even further.

The Street Fighter movie cast includes:
Noah Centineo as Ken,
Andrew Koji as Ryu,
Callina Liang as Chun Li,

UFC fighter Alexander Volkanovski, actor Kyle Mooney, Cobra Kai actor Rayna Vallandingham, and Mortal Kombat actor Mélanie Jarnson have also been confirmed for the Street Fighter movie, but their roles have not yet been confirmed. Kitao Sakurai will be directing the movie, his previous directing credits include the 2021 Netflix film Bad Trip, The Eric Andre Show, four episodes of Twisted Metal, the TV show Dave, and TV series The Premise.
Next week, NetEase will drop Season 4 for Marvel Rivals, which brings a new hero, new map and other new pieces of content. However, aside from that, there will be a host of balance changes that wil be handed out too.
There are a lot of heroes that are going up the tiers, and some will be going down.
One annoying character that almost always gets insta-banned in Competitive is finally getting a significant nerf.
Marvel Rivals Season 4 Patch Will Finally Nerf This Hated Hero
Ahead of the September 12 kick-off of Season 4, NetEase has released the hero balance changes incoming, and confirmed that Black Panther is (finally) getting a significant nerf!
Per NetEase, here’s what’s changing for this annoying Duelist:
T’Challa’s survivability after striking a marked enemy is now less kingly.
– Reduce Bonus Health gained when striking Vibranium Marked enemies with Spirit Rend from 30 to 25.
– Reduce base health from 300 to 275.
That reduced base health should help make T’Challa a lot more squishy, and the reduced health bonus for Spirit Rend should also reduce his survivability, which is off the charts right now.
While Black Panther is getting a significant nerf, one other Duelist is getting a massive buff, and it’s Scarlet Witch! Wanda’s ultimate is getting a major buff that will make landing it easier:
Wanda’s survivability and Ultimate are getting a magical upgrade.
– Can now be healed by teammates during Mystic Projection.
– Increase Reality Erasure damage from 800 to 9999.
– New Effect: Now pulls in nearby enemies (within 15m radius) during cast charge. Max pull speed up to 2.4m/s.
Expect people to call out Scarlet Witch once the patch has been applied and is in use by good players. Of course. her base damage is still low, and it takes a while for her ultimate to charge, so maybe this is a step in the right direction? We’ll know for sure later this month when the patch is live.
Alongside the buffs and nerfs, there are also new Team-Up on the way, and it’s for the new hero Angela and Thor!
Divine Armory (Angela – Thor)
– As the Team-Up Anchor, Angela gains 100 Health.
– Thor gains the new Thunderstrike Pike ability from his Team-Up with Angela.
Marvel Rivals Season 4 kicks off on September 12, so if you’re a Black Panther main, enjoy your last few days of dominance. Alongside Season 4, the game will also be released on PS4 the same day Season 4 launches, so expect a huge influx of new players. For those wondering if we’re getting a Switch 2 version, it seems that won’t be happening anytime soon, and you can blame Nintendo for that.
After Vampire Slayers helped give birth to a whole new genre, the idea of auto-shooters (have we finally agreed that’s what they are?) has only grown. Now, there are heaps of them out there and Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is the latest, entering the fray after a lengthy Early Access period on Steam. But while it’s a very solid, and often visually very strong, entry in the genre, it also plays it safe.
The visuals immediately make Jotunnslayer stand out, a grim fantasy vibe using an isometric camera and a more realistic style compared to the likes of Vampire Survivors. There’s a sense that Jotunnslayer is trying to make itself stand out as the triple-A title of the genre, at least in terms of the visuals. But as much as it wants to look more Diablo than Brotato, the shiny aesthetics are overlaid on a pretty simple game that doesn’t move the genre forward in any way.

Jotunnslayer took one look at Hades and decided it wanted a piece of that God action, so it brought in the Norse pantheon. At its core, the loop is simple and familiar: pick a hero, drop into an arena, and carve your way through an onslaught of enemies that quickly goes from being a small party to fucking spring break in terms of size, while hoovering up XP. Levelling is rapid-fire — 20 or more upgrades in a single 15–20 minute run isn’t unusual — and each level-up hands you a random choice of class skills or divine blessings from the Gods. Maybe you’ll chuck Thor’s hammer, maybe you’ll have Nidhogg scare the bejesus out of everything by giving you a creepy aura, maybe you’ll just stack passive buffs until you resemble a one-person apocalypse. The aim isn’t to win the war — the tide never stops coming, a never-ending flesh parade — but to dance on its edge, dodging, strafing, and cutting gaps through the horde just long enough to summon a boss and survive the onslaught.
As the bodycount rises, the game can get pretty intense because you’re always on the edge of the tide becoming too much and drowning you. Sometimes that can make it hard to figure out exactly where it all went wrong, but that’s fine because you just fire up another run. It’s so easy to get caught up in all the particle effects, abilities going off and the sheer number of on-screen enemies.
To its credit, Jotunnslayer throws in a little more agency than its peers. You’ve got a dodge button, a single weapon skill, and even the option to manually aim when you need to carve an escape route. Every other ability – from falling angels slamming into the ground to Freya’s magic swords – is fired off automatically. It’s hardly revolutionary, but in a genre where most games reduce you to a WASD meat blender, those two buttons are a dash of seasoning rather than a recipe rewrite. They are a little bit of control in a world of chaos.
Whether you fall to the masses or kick the Jotunn’s arse, you’ll leave with some coins in your pocket that can be spent on permanent upgrades that carry over. Each of the six choosable adventurers have new powers that can be unlocked and added to the in-game pool, and stat boosts to buy as well. Then you’ve got the Gods, where you can again choose to add new powers that might pop up during a run or unlock the ultimate versions of existing ones. But the Gods also offer stat boosts that affect all characters, making them the main method of progressing through the game. If you want to make it through the handful of locations and defeat the lady of Helheim, you’ll need to invest.
Interestingly, the game does let you take back invested points at no cost. On the one hand, this means choosing what to upgrade isn’t a difficult choice because you can respec everything at will, taking away the potential for those difficult moments where you’re busting out a notepad and trying to figure out what the best upgrade path is. On the other hand, it means you aren’t locked down and can jump from character to character.
Speaking of which, the roster of 6 main characters is decent. You’ve got the berserker and his love of smacking shit with an axe, a ranger who summons up ghost wolves and even a fallen angel who can get more powerful upon reviving. No matter who you choose, though, the game still plays largely the same – backpedal like crazy. It’s only the first half of each run that really feels different because ranged characters can actually stand still and gun down enemies, but the enemy numbers quickly become so numerous that ranged attacks are basically just melee anyway because the skeletons have decided personal space is optional.
The trouble with Jotunnslayer is what happens around that, admittedly very satisfying, main gameplay loop — or rather, what doesn’t. The arenas are mostly bland open fields with the occasional weak gimmick (hello, annoying cannons), the enemies are a handful of visual variations that either walk at you or lob something in your face, and the objectives needed to be completed before summoning the big boss boil down to standing in circles until the big bad wakes up or a meter fills. After a few hours, you’ve seen the lot: six characters, a sprinkling of Gods to unlock, and a grind toward harder difficulties. Repetition isn’t just present here; it’s the co-op partner.
There’s still fun to be had, especially if you enjoy tinkering with builds. Each run offers plenty of combinations of Godly and class powers, even if the synergy between them is more lukewarm than lightning strike. It often felt like I was choosing powers in a vacuum rather than picking ones that complement each other. I know I use Hades as a benchmark a lot, but in that game the best runs were the ones where the powers seemed to be working in tandem with each other. Jotunnslayer never reaches that same peak.
I also wish the game allowed more freedom: two class ability slots and three God power slots feel restrictive, forcing you to lean on both systems whether you want to or not. Sure, you can technically choose to give the Gods the coldshouldere, or focus purely on deities, but it comes at a massive cost. I would have loved it if I could rock 5 God powers, or only choose class skills.
What I’m getting at here, is that Jotunnslayer can start to feel pretty mindless rather quickly. Again, not wholly unusual for this genre, but compared to something like Vampire Survivors, I felt like it ran out of steam and began chugging along much sooner. Some extra excitement in stage design or the objectives and the enemies could really help elevate this game to the next level.
Finally, I cannot currently recommend the PlayStation version of the game, which I tested. While this was the final release 1.0 build, it liked to crash more than my grandma after she drove home from a rave. It was normal to be hit by at least 1 crash per hour, but also not uncommon to experience two. The only good thing I can say is that the rest of the performance was acceptable. Hopefully, the dev’s will be able to get it patched ASAP.
In Conclusion…
⭐⭐⭐
Rating: 3 out of 5.
Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is a solid entry in a genre that’s fast becoming as crowded as its arenas, and it certainly dresses the part with its Norse gods and moody, almost triple-A presentation. But beneath the gleam lies a familiar, relatively safe loop that rarely strays from the beaten path carved by Vampire Survivors and its ilk. There’s fun to be had in the chaos — dodging through a blizzard of skeletons while Thor’s hammer spins off into the distance never gets old — but the repetition and lack of meaningful variety make this more of a hearty snack than a full feast worthy of Odin’s table.
Actor Tom Holland is currently in production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day — or, based on the rumors, his stunt double is currently in production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day while Holland does a covert stint on Avengers: Doomsday. Either way, in a new interview with LadBible, the 29-year-old star of The Lost City of Z admits that he’s had enough time between filming scenes for the MCU to relentlessly check what “the fans” want out of the next Spider-Man movie.
“I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie,” Holland said while on the promotional campaign for [checks notes] his new Lego commercial. “I think the producers, at times were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it’s really important, because we make these movies for [the fans].”
Tom, my guy… get outta there!!!!
Holland’s team-up with Lego is actually pretty noble: The extended spot finds the actor in a number of wacky getups like he’s in Cloud Atlas and preaching the importance of play. The actor says the message hit home as a person diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, where the freedom of “play” translated to a passion for creating characters and imagining stories. The effect Lego can specifically have on the brain is real, so despite giving us the nightmare fuel of Holland dressed up as an old man, the campaign is a welcome dose of reality from a talent who mostly sticks to mega-blockbusters.
But you know what does not have a positive effect on the brain? “Sifting through the internet” to hear from people who think they know what the next Spider-Man movie is or needs to be about. According to CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), studies show people with ADHD are often time-blind, thus prone to endless scrolling and greater internet addiction.
And as someone who also dunks their head into the muck of MCU rumor-mongering on a regular basis, boy, it’s bad out there. With production on Brand New Day ramping up, “insiders” have been promising an array of villains, then quietly walking back each other’s reports, as their locked-in audience speculates on what might be. Based on Reddit alone, there are probably 4,000 different ways the story for Brand New Day could or should go. This is par for the course for a giant superhero movie, but seems absolutely deadly for anyone involved with making the actual movie.
Holland hasn’t quite found his footing as a star outside the MCU. After No Way Home broke box-office records, Holland missed with the Russos on the dismal Apple drama Cherry, turned Uncharted into a huge box-office win that still doesn’t seem to exist, and did some TV. Holland wished out loud that the MCU might move on from his version of Spider-Man after No Way Home gave him an out but… no, he’s still in it. But a big part in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey could be the prestige boost he needs to really rev up his non-Marvel career. As long as he can get off his phone.
Tom, if you’re reading this: Log off. Even if you make movies “for the fans,” the true die-hard social-media-posting fans won’t lead you to glory because they’re figuring out how to have a stable relationship with their favorite things in public. And if the producers of your Captain America: Civil War sequel were “absolutely sick” of you, I fear you’ve drilled too far down.
Zendaya, if you’re reading this: Please delete any Joe Rogan podcasts off Tom’s app.
If Holland needs something to focus on, may I recommend whatever director Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) and his stunt team are cooking up. Because it already looks sick! Here’s what the fans really want, from what I can tell: a thrilling time at the movies. I did not check X to figure that out.

Fans of the horror-comedy anthology franchise Creepshow now have two cool Blu-ray releases to look forward to this fall. Arrow Video’s upcoming 4K restoration of Creepshow 2 has been available to preorder since July, but now you can also reserve a unique Blu-ray box set collecting all four seasons of Shudder’s recent anthology series. Creepshow: Complete Series Collector’s Edition is available to preorder for $100 at Walmart and Amazon ahead of its November 11 release.
Just like Creepshow 2’s Limited Edition, the TV series collection leans into the franchise’s roots and inspirations with a CRT TV display box containing comic book-inspired disc cases. It looks like an awesome collectible for Creepshow fans.
Creepshow: Complete Series (Blu-ray)
Neither retailer has a full product description for the box set, so we’re not entirely sure what’s going on with the miniature CRT TV in the image above. But with the TV display showing The Creep and the Creepshow logo with a red background, it seems like you can flip between screens. Perhaps with the dial on the front? That said, we wouldn’t be surprised if those are removable cards that you slide into place. Turning the dial to change channels might be wishful thinking. Each of the four seasons has its own case modeled after the in-universe Creepshow comics and Stephen King’s original graphic novel.
The box set also comes with a comic book based on “Skeletons in the Closet,” which is one of the vignettes in Season 3, Episode 2. Creepshow 2’s Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray also includes a physical comic book, but only if you snag a copy from the first printing before it sells out. The comic is an adaptation of an unpublished Stephen King story that was cut from the 1987 film. Creepshow 2 Limited Edition releases September 30 for $50. While you wait for both Creepshow releases, check out the original 1982 anthology’s 4K Steelbook Edition for only $27.79 (was $40) at Amazon.
If you love Creepshow, you’ve come to the right place. Along with details on the two upcoming releases, we put together lists of Creepshow Blu-rays, making-of books, and the ongoing comic book anthology series. So make sure to creep farther down for some great Creepshow deals–unless you’d rather look for yourself, in which case you can check out these Amazon hubs we created: Creepshow Blu-rays | Creepshow books and comics.
$100 | Releases November 11
Creepshow debuted on Shudder in 2019 and quickly became one of the horror streamer’s marquee original series. It was undoubtedly a huge subscription seller for Shudder, especially Season 1 was the best take on the franchise since the original movie.
The anthology series ran for four seasons and 25 episodes, including two TV specials, before ending in 2023. Episodes of Creepshow include a pair of distinct vignettes, roughly 20-25 minutes each.
Franchise creators Stephen King and George A. Romero weren’t involved with the production, but a few episodes are based on King’s short stories, including the show’s very first vignette “Gray Matter,” adapted from a story in King’s excellent collection Night Shift. The 2020 Halloween special adapted “Survivor Type” from Skeleton Crew. The back half of the special was based on “Twittering from the Circus of the Dead” from the story collection Full Throttle by Joe Hill, who also happens to be King’s eldest son.
The 9-disc box set has a total runtime of roughly 18 hours. All 23 episodes and the two specials are displayed in 1080p resolution and support DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Bonus features include cast and crew interviews, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and photo galleries.
If you’re interested in the behind-the-scenes content, you should also check out Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream, a 240-page coffee-table book with a foreword by Stephen King.
$50 | Releases September 30
Creepshow 2’s Limited Edition is a native 4K restoration from the original camera negative with HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10) and three audio formats: 5.1 DTS-HD, stereo, and lossless monaural.
Arrow Video originally created a 2K restoration that released as Creepshow 2: Special Edition back in 2016 on 1080p Blu-ray. The on-disc special features for the 4K release largely mirror the Special Edition. The reversible sleeve and cover art by Mike Saputo matches the 2016 release, too.
Just like the first printing of the 1080p Blu-ray, the 4K release includes two limited-edition booklets. These are no longer included with the standard Blu-ray and were limited to 3,000 units, but now you have another chance. For reference, the first printing has a red sleeve, but after it sells out, it’ll likely switch to a blue sleeve like the Blu-ray edition.
Most notably, you’ll get a booklet with the comic adaptation of “Pinfall,” one of the two stories that were cut from the film. The story was written by Stephen King and adapted into a script by George Romero. Jason Mayoh adapted the story into a comic for the Blu-ray release in 2016. Along with the comic booklet, you’ll get an illustrated booklet with commentary from Michael Blyth.
“Pinfall” has never been published as a short story or filmed, so this is the only way to experience one of Stephen King’s unpublished stories.

Though you can watch Creepshow 2 without watching the original, the 1982 anthology is a more well-rounded collection of horror-comedy stories, so it doesn’t really make sense to skip it. Plus, it’s already available on 4K Blu-ray. A Collector’s Edition released in 2023, and the awesome Steelbook Edition shown above arrived just in time for Halloween last year. The Limited Edition Steelbook is on sale for $27.89 (was $40), only two bucks more than the Collector’s Edition.
Both editions include 4K Blu-ray and standard 1080p Blu-rays and the same special features. The film was remastered in 4K using the original camera negatives and supports HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10), Dolby Atmos audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0. Special features include audio commentary with George Romero, a roundtable on the making of the anthology, and a whole bunch more. You can check out the full list at the bottom of this article.
Creepshow 2 Limited Edition (Arrow Video)
Creepshow and its numerous follow-ups blend horror and comedy while paying homage to classic comics like Tales from the Crypt and The Haunt of Fear. Directed by George Romero, the 1982 original is an anthology film with five distinct vignettes. Stories include a murdered man rising from the dead, a mysterious meteor that lands on a remote farm, and a cockroach army that’s hunting a man with Entomophobia.
Stephen King made his screenwriting debut with Creepshow, and two of the five tales were adapted from his short fiction. Creepshow wears its comic book influences on its sleeve, and King adapted the film into a graphic novel the same year the film premiered.
Creepshow 2’s screenplay was written by Romero and directed by the original film’s cinematographer Michael Gornick. Though originally planned to mirror its predecessor with five vignettes, only three made it into the movie: “Old Chief Wood’nhead,” “The Raft,” and “The Hitch-hiker.” All three are based on King’s short stories, but “The Raft” is the only one that has been published and collected in the author’s heralded collection Skeleton Crew.
“Cat from Hell,” the other King story that was cut from Creepshow 2, was included in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie in 1990. The spin-off film was based on a TV series created by Romero in 1983. Given the timing, it should come as no surprise that Tales from the Darkside–also a horror-comedy anthology–existed because of Creepshow’s unexpected box office success. Tales from the Darkside: The Complete Series is available on DVD for $28.
Creepshow franchise 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases
Beyond the collectible editions, the first two Creepshow anthologies are available for around 10 bucks on standard Blu-ray. The Creepshow franchise technically has three film anthologies, but the 2006 straight-to-home-video Creepshow 3 is one that many fans want to forget exists at all (it’s quite bad). If you want to be reminded of it, a region-free Blu-ray edition of Creepshow 3 is $22 at Walmart. All three films are collected in a DVD box set for $25.
Another box set option is the King of Horror 8-Film Collection on Blu-ray or DVD. This one only includes the first Creepshow movie, but you’ll also get The Shining, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, the 1990 It miniseries, and more.
Creepshow Movies
All four seasons of Shudder’s anthology series are already available on Blu-ray and DVD. The first season is currently quite pricey on Blu-ray, but Seasons 2-4 are around $15 each.
Tales from the Darkside / Tales from the Crypt
If you like the horror-comedy anthology structure, you should definitely check out Tales from the Darkside and Tales from the Crypt.
Creepshow by Stephen King (1982) | Creepshow Deluxe Edition Book One (2024)
Shudder’s series also led to the revival of Creepshow in print. Skybound and Image Comics have published 19 Creepshow comics since 2022, and 15 of them have been collected in paperback volumes. Each volume has five stories written and illustrated by a rotating group of big names in the industry, including Garth Ennis and Joe Hill. As a child, Hill appeared in the prologue and epilogue of the original Creepshow film, and over 40 years later he wrote an official Creepshow comic called Joe Hill’s Wolverton Station.
The first issue in Volume 4 will be published September 17. If you want to catch up on the anthology series, the first three volumes are available in trade paperback for $15 (or less) each. Volume 3 was published in April, and Volume 4’s paperback edition is expected to release next March. Last holiday season, Image Comics published a hardcover Deluxe Edition compiling the first two volumes. Amazon has Creepshow Deluxe Edition for $21 (was $40), which is almost exactly the same price as the two paperback editions combined.
Joe Hill’s Creepshow comic and three others are one-shots that aren’t included in the collected volumes, but you can buy digital editions for Kindle for a couple bucks each. All 19 Creepshow comics released so far can be purchased as a digital bundle for $40. But Before reading the new series, we’d highly recommend Stephen King’s original graphic novel, which is available in paperback for only $15 (was $20) at Amazon.

It’s widely believed that Sony will be holding a State of Play toward the end of this month, and according to a new report, Insomniac’s long-in-development Wolverine game will be featured.
Insider Gaming has the scoop, declaring that not only has a source confirmed a State of Play for this month (which has been widely rumoured for a while now), but that Wolverine will make an appearance.
The source claims that Wolverine‘s trailer has finished production and is ready to go. They say it will “almost certainly” be at the event. Insider Gaming hedge’s their bets by saying that if the trailer does not appear at the State of Play, it will “undoubtedly be released in the next few months, with The Game Awards being the next likely candidate.”
Wolverine was revealed way, way back in 2021 with a very brief teaser trailer of the titular angry Canadian sitting at a bar. It was said to be in very early development at that point. Since then, all we’ve got from Insomniac is brief reassurances that the game is still being worked on.
In 2023, Insomniac was hit by a massive hack which revealed piles of data, including plot details about Wolverine and footage of early builds.
Previous reports have suggested a 2026 release window, giving the game a 5-6 year development time. In today’s industry, that’s not actually hugely unusual. Insomniac, though, has typically been running on around 3-4 years per game, meaning Wolverine would be unusual for them, perhaps indicating some development issues.
Personally, I’m pretty hyped to see it in action. Insomniac has proven itself time and time again since being bought by Sony, and I’m eager to see what they can do with the character of Wolverine.
