PowerWash Simulator 2 gets a funky new gameplay trailer | TheSixthAxis

PowerWash Simulator 2 gets a funky new gameplay trailer | TheSixthAxis

Futurlab has shared a new gameplay trailer for their spick-and-span sequel PowerWash Simulator 2. The game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in late 2025.

The trailer showed off a bunch of the tools you’re using to tidy up Muckingham, from your standard powerwasher to a buffing thingy, new elevated platforms, isolated powerwashing jobs for pianos and rugs, and plenty more. It ended off with the new cat companion, Ulysses, who you can pet and take with you on every job. Cute!

But there’s more! PowerWash Simulator 2 will have multi-stage jobs, home case customisation, and even some mysteries to uncover around Muckingham.

We loved the original Powerwash Simulator, awarding it an 8/10 for its original version, and 9/10 for the excellent VR rendition. Talking about the original we said, “PowerWash Simulator is a rare example of a game that more than lives up to its expectations. If the calming loop of the gameplay gets you then you’ll easily find hours of your life disappearing along with the dirt and grime. Add in some interesting challenge modes and a story that caught me by surprise and you have a game that more than deserves your time”. We then called the VR version, “the ultimate evolution of Futurlab’s astoundingly satisfying smash hit, effortlessly translating the calming clean ’em up to virtual reality.”

Hack into an unethical superstructure in s.p.l.i.t from the dev of Buckshot Roulette

Hack into an unethical superstructure in s.p.l.i.t from the dev of Buckshot Roulette

You have to hand it to indie devs, they sure do keep coming up with weird and wonderful looking games. The next game from the developer of the popular Buckshot Roulette is called s.p.l.i.t and it sounds rather strange.

What is it? A short psychological horror game that thrusts players into the dark, cloying world of cyber-crime as they attempt to hack and gain root access to an unethical superstructure. The game continues with the dystopian, low-fi tech visual identity from Buckshot Roulette, that does make me wonder if perhaps it’s part of the same universe.

The focus of it is on terminal hacking with various commands to interface with this facility, while you chat with other technicians to plan and execute a devastating malware attack.

Regardless of the outcome, this story won’t be told for decades. Will you hold up your end?

Highlights:

First person gameplay with diegetic & immersive UI.
An IRC chat where you gain intel, and learn more about the facility.
A terminal where you run software, navigate directories, and execute commands.
Detailed command prompt hacking puzzles with an emphasis on traditional inputs.
Original soundtrack.

It’s confirmed to be launching with Linux and SteamOS support on July 24th.

Elden Ring Nightreign: Ironeye Remembrance Quest Guide

Elden Ring Nightreign: Ironeye Remembrance Quest Guide

No matter if you plan on doing a solo expedition, playing with your friends, or just queuing with randoms, Ironeye is one of the best characters you could play as in Elden Ring Nightreign.

His toolkit is very simple and easy to get used to, yet when played the right way, he can provide very high damage in fights.

This makes you wonder just who he is, especially since bows weren’t the most go-to weapons in Elden Ring. Ironeye is an expert assassin and a member of the Fellowship. But what is the Fellowship, and who is he after?

Elden Ring Nightreign: Duchess Remembrance Quest Guide

Here are the things you need to do to complete all of Duchess’s Remembrance quests in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Well, to find those answers, you will have to do his story quests. But even if these questions don’t bother you, I highly suggest you complete his quests anyway, because he has some of the best relics that you get as rewards for completing them.

So, here is the full spoiler-free Ironeye Remembrance quest walkthrough to help you with everything from how to start these quests to the rewards you get upon completion.

How To Get Memory Fragments For Ironeye

Elden Ring Nightreign Get Memory Fragments For Ironeye

You can get Memory Fragments for Ironeye and any other character by defeating a Nightlord. Having enough fragments is the only prerequisite before you can start doing his Remembrance quests.

The easiest Nightlord that you can beat is Gladius, Beast of Night. It is weak to Holy damage, so make sure you look for enemy encampments, forts, or great churches that have the Holy icon. You can get a Holy weapon here, which should make this fight easier.

You don’t strictly have to beat Gladius, and any other Nightlord will work as well, so fight the one you find to be the easiest. There is also a small chance that you can get Memory Fragments by failing expeditions, so make sure you complete every run you start.

Chapter 4 – Finding The Traitor’s Letter

In the eastern wing of the Roundtable Hold, you can find the Journal in the library. Interact with it, go to Chapter 4, and choose “Begin Remembrance” to start his quest. You will now be teleported to the Realm of Remembrance.

Go to the western wing of the Roundtable Hold in the room where you can find the Small Jar Bazaar. From here, go down the steps and talk to the Priestess.

You can always check which NPC you need to talk to by reviewing the journal. Additionally, you can find where the NPCs are by checking your map and looking for ones that have an exclamation point.

Select both dialogue options of “About the Fellowship” and “About the traitor” and exhaust her dialogues. Now, a new option will be available. Here, choose “Accept task,” and a personal objective will be added to your tasks.

Elden Ring Nightreign: Recluse Remembrance Quest Guide

A Truly Magical Mystery

The next task is to go to Limveld and defeat the other Ironeye.

When doing remembrance quests, only one party member can play at a time. You also need to play as the character whose quest you want to complete.

Start an expedition for any boss, then check your map for a marker. Go to this location, and you will have to fight the Night Huntsman. Defeat him to get the Traitor’s Letter.

Now, complete the expedition, and once you are back, you will get the Traitor’s Letter as your reward.

If you are playing solo and are interested in quickly completing this quest, you can die at the end of Day 1 if you have already defeated the Night Huntsman and still receive the letter afterward.

Once you are back at the Roundtable Hold, go back to the same location where you found the Priestess and talk to her. Here, choose the “Show her the Traitor’s Letter” option. A portal should show up nearby. Use it to conclude the remembrance, and you will be done with the first quest.

Chapter 4 Rewards

For completing the first Ironeye remembrance quest, you get:

Traitor’s Letter (Key Item)

Ironeye’s Chalice

Cracked Wax Sealing

Ironeye’s Chalice has red, green, and white slots, and can be equipped while performing relic rites. As for Cracked Wax Sealing, it is a yellow relic. It has a unique passive for Ironeye that extends the duration of his weak point. Landing Critical Hits earns you runes.

Chapter 6 – Killing The Undying

Ironeye Chapter 6 Get Edge Of Order

For this next chapter, go back to the location where you talked to the Priestess in the previous quest and turn left. You will find that the door to the crypt has been opened. Go down there to find the traitor with the Priestess.

Talk to the Traitor and exhaust his dialogue. He will now request you to finish him off. Choose the option “Execute him”. After a conversation, a new personal objective will be added.

Next, talk to the Priestess, and she will tell you that you need to search for the Night Centaurs to get your hands on the Edge of Order.

This is a bit of a challenging task. You now have to defeat Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow. To do that, start the Darkdrift Knight expedition.

This boss is weak against lightning. Try equipping a relic that changes your starting equipment to a Lightning weapon. If you don’t have such a relic, you can always look for Lightning weapons or grease during your expedition.

It doesn’t matter if you do this expedition solo or with a group, as long as you can defeat Fulghor while playing as Ironeye. Upon completing the run, you will get the Edge of Order

Go back to the crypt and talk to the traitor. Choose the option “Execute him”. He will reveal to Ironeye the truth about their kind. You can talk to the Priestess for extra dialogue, then interact with the portal to conclude the Remembrance.

Chapter 6 Rewards

For completing the second Ironeye remembrance quest, you get:

Edge of Order is a yellow relic. It’s unique passive for Ironeye boosts thrusting counterattacks after you execute his Ultimate Art. This relic also changes your starting equipment to deal holy damage and improves bow attack power.

Chapter 7 – The Night Is Far From Over

Unlike other remembrance quests, you won’t get the option to “Begin Remembrance” this time. It may feel like you are stuck, but no need to worry. All that is left for you to do is defeat the Night Aspect.

Again, just like Fulghor, you can fight this boss solo or in a group. But as you will be playing as Ironeye, it is highly recommended that you equip Edge of Order for your relics to get a guaranteed weapon that deals holy damage.

This is a two-phase fight. If you are playing solo, try buying at least one, if not two, Wending Grace before starting the fight. If you are playing with a group, coordinating with them will make the fight much easier.

For Ironeye, try picking weapons that have passives that reduce damage drop off or increase damage when two-handing weapons.

Lastly, try reaching level 13 at minimum for this boss. As for the fight itself, the first phase is pretty easy; the boss doesn’t attack all that much in the first half and gets more aggressive after you take away half its health.

For the second phase, you can use Ironeye’s character skill Marking to dash back when you need to create some space.

After you defeat the boss, you will get teleported to a greyed-out version of the Roundtable Hold.

Go north from the room with the table of lost grace. Interact with the corpse and choose “Clench Dagger”. You will now get a pop-up asking “Truly wield the blade?”. Choose “Yes”.

The game will now play Ironeye’s alternate ending, and after the cutscene, you will unlock his Remembrance outfit. You also get Ironeye’s chapter 8 entry, which you can read from the Journal.

Chapter 7 Rewards

For completing the third Ironeye remembrance quest, you get:

You can equip this from the dresser to check it out. This isn’t his best skin, so if you are looking for something better, you can spend your murk to get his other outfits.

What is Blitz Royale in Fortnite?

What is Blitz Royale in Fortnite?

Blitz Royale is a new limited-time game mode introduced in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Super that is available until Tuesday, July 15.

Blitz Royale is Fortnite as you know it, but at a much faster pace. Blitz Royale is meant for those on the go as each game can take five minutes or less. Although Blitz Royale is “made for mobile,” it’s available on every platform. As Blitz Royale will only be around until July 15, each week will feature an event to make your battles even more interesting.

Here’s everything you need to know about Blitz Royale in Fortnite, plus a breakdown of the weekly schedule.

What is Blitz Royale in Fortnite?

Blitz Royale is a Zero Build mode that pits 32 players against each other on a tiny map featuring fan favorite locations, Pleasant Park and Retail Row. Blitz Royale is available until Tuesday, July 15 and can be played as a solo, duo, or squad.

As Blitz Royale games are meant to be quick, every player will start the game with the same medallion or unique weapon — allowing you to immediately get into the fray.

To make things even faster, Blitz Royale incentivizes you to hunt down your enemies with the introduction of Blitz Level, which is a new system that will reward you with powerful weapons and boons as long as you’re eliminating opponents and surviving storm circles. As you gain more Blitz Levels, you’ll gain more weapons and boons — making you a force to be reckoned with.

If you’re having a hard time increasing your Blitz Level, you can get your hands on strong weapons and buffs through other means. There are a lot of golden chests containing power-ups scattered around the map, and periodically golden supply drops will fall out of the sky and grant you more medallions.

Fortnite Blitz Royale weekly events schedule

As Blitz Royale is only available for a month, it has been packed with weekly events to keep you coming back:

Sony Allegedly Interested In Acquiring Warner Bros Gaming IP & HBO Max

Sony Allegedly Interested In Acquiring Warner Bros Gaming IP & HBO Max

Here’s an interesting rumour: Sony might be looking to pick up HBO Max from Warner Bros. Discovery, along with some of its gaming IP.

This story requires some context, starting with the fact that Warner Bros. Discovery, which has been facing some financial troubles the last few years, has announced a restructuring, which includes splitting into two separate companies. If that sounds familiar, it’s because Ubisoft is also doing some very similar.

The split will be completed by mid-2026, with the newly formed “Streaming & Studios” being composed of Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, DC Studios, HBO, HBO Max, and notably, the WB Games division.

As part of the split the company also announced that it intends on releasing less games overall and focus more on its core IP of Harry Potter, DC, Game of Thrones and Mortal Kombat.

Of course, we already know that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, while a new Game of Thrones RTS was just revealed. There’s also rumours that Netherealm might be working on Injustice 3.

But where does Sony come into the picture? Well, according sescoops.com, “Sony is considering a purchase of the newly announced WBD Streaming and Studios company.”

Interestingly, sescoops.com is a wrestling-focused website, so not a source normally worth considering. However, sescoops.com covers All Elite Wrestling (AEW) which is broadcast by Warner Bros. Discovery. sescoops.com has a proven track record when it comes to insider AEW information, so it is possible the website’s sources also have the inside track on Warner Bros. Discovery.

“Sources said Sony was only interested acquiring WBD’s streaming, studio and gaming assets if they were separated from its cable networks, which have lost millions of homes as viewers abandon traditional cable packages,” says sescoops.com.

Sony has made some movies towards becoming a larger multimedia company in the past few years. It also showed interested in acquiring Fox before Disney snatched the company up, and was in talks to buy Paramount at one point as well.

It’s a very interesting story, but for now I’m inclined to say there isn’t much to it. The source isn’t the strongest, and I don’t think Sony would be looking to spend the amount of money it would take to buy out Warner Bros. Discovery’s new company. We’re talking thousands of employees, multiple game studios, a streaming service and more, all of which could command a huge price. Right now, Warner Bros. Discovery holds a market cap of $26 billion. The new streaming company isn’t going to be tied down by as much debt (Warner Bros. is keeping most of it with the second company) and will likely hit the market with a strong value of its own, one potentially much higher than WBDs current market cap.

Sony, meanwhile, currently has about $24 billion in cash. Of course, cash isn’t everything and Sony could bring far more money to bear if needed, but the point is buying this new company would be a monumentally huge move for Sony, and one I can’t imagine them willing to risk. Nor does such an acquisition fit into their usual strategy.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword Won’t Be Open-World Or Souls-Like, Promises Director

Onimusha: Way of the Sword Won’t Be Open-World Or Souls-Like, Promises Director

The Onimusha franchise was created in a very different era for gaming, decades before open-world titles and souls-like games were all the rage. Next year, Capcom will revisit the franchise with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and the game’s director, Satoru Nihei, wants fans to know that he and his team won’t be embracing those modern trends in the new title.

“Onimusha: Way of The Sword isn’t an open-world game, and it certainly isn’t a punishing die-and-retry (souls-like) game either,” Nihei told Automaton. “While there’s no doubt seasoned action-game players will be able to enjoy it, our goal was to make a game which gamers who don’t consider action games their forte will also have fun playing. In Way of The Sword, our main focus was to express the clashing of blades through the action.”

Nihel went on to explain that Way of the Sword is incorporating new mechanics to make the sword fights feel more realistic. Deflecting allows players to deplete the stamina of bosses, which will eventually allow characters to trigger a Break Issen attack and destroy part of the boss. Nihel also confirmed that the soul-absorption ability will be retained in the new game.

Producer Akihito Kadowaki recently told GameSpot that Way of the Sword is completely unconnected to any of the previous Onimusha games. Instead, players will assume control of Miyamoto Mushashi, a samurai warrior whose likeness is based on the late actor Toshiro Mifune.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will hit PS5, Xbox Series X❘S, and PC in 2026.

The next set of Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests actually has new stuff to do, but there are still no Challenge Quests

The next set of Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests actually has new stuff to do, but there are still no Challenge Quests

If you don’t intend to jump into any of the new games coming out this week and for the rest of June, you might want to check in on the latest batch of Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests. Capcom, right on schedule, has published the full stack for this week, next, and the one after that.

This is all pretty standard, of course, even if it does look like the lists are getting smaller and smaller.

Manage cookie settings

For instance, none of the three weeks have any Challenge Quests, meaning you’re looking at just Event Quests for all of them. Challenge Quests are often more difficult, and require certain equipment – but that’s the point.

Regardless, just like the last batch, and the one before that, the quests are rolled out together each week. You can play them as many times as you like, but make sure you finish your runs before the end of each week.

A good strategy is to prioritise quests with the rewards you want, because you’re not likely to get them on the first try. Once that’s over and done with, you can shift your focus to other quests.

Read on below for the latest Event Quest schedule:

Game Pass Is Getting Three Warcrafts, A Call Of Duty, And More This Month

Image: Activision / Xbox / Kotaku

On June 17, Xbox announced the next wave of games coming to Game Pass in June and July, including two new (and very different) video games that are available right now on Xbox and PC.

The big release today is FBC: Firebreak, a new PvE co-op shooter from Remedy set in the universe of Control. Think Left 4 Dead but with weirder enemies, more objectives, and a lot of office chairs. FBC is available today on Xbox and PC via Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC.

Folks, I don’t know about you, but there are so many games I want to play right now. And yet, more new ones keep launching. Trying to keep up with them is proving impossible. And looking over Xbox’s list of new stuff coming to Game Pass, I realized that the cool-looking Lost in Random spin-off, The Eternal Die, is out now on consoles and PC. I don’t know when I’ll get to play it, but I certainly want to!

Anyway, here’s the full list of what’s coming and when:
