Say It Ain’t Seance Quest Guide in Palia

Say It Ain’t Seance Quest Guide in Palia

The Say It Ain’t Seance is a Friendship Level 4 quest for Hodari in Palia. Hodari expresses concern about the mines and jokes about a seance. However, it might be the right thing to throw a seance. In this guide, we will walk you through the Say It Ain’t Seance quest in Palia.

How to Complete the Say It Ain’t Seance Quest in Palia

Starting the quest

Starting the Say It Ain’t Seance quest will require the player to reach Friendship Level 4 with Hodari and complete the Big Family Blowup quest. Upon reaching Level 4 and completing the prerequisite quest, a quest marker will appear on Hodari. Go and speak with Hodari to initiate the Say It Ain’t Seance quest.

Ask Tamala or Elouisa for help with Seance

After starting the quest and convincing Hodari for the séance, you need to speak with either Tamala or Elouisa. Go to one of the villagers and speak to them about throwing a séance.

Gather the items to create some Cleansing Candles

Upon speaking with either Tamala or Elouisa, they will tell you to gather and bring the following items.

1x Firebreathing Dragonfly: The Firebreathing Dragonfly spawns in the Mirror Fields and near Mirror Pond Ruins at any time of the day. You can use the Honey Lure in one of the areas to easily bring out the Firebreathing Dragonfly and catch it.

1x Proudhorned Sernuk Antlers: The Proudhorned Sernuk Antlers are obtained from hunting the Proudhorned Sernuk. It is a magical sernuk that spawns in the northern areas of Bahari Bay. Use the Hunter’s Horn item to track the Proudhorned Sernuk and shoot it with Dispel Arrows. These arrows will prevent the sernuk from teleporting.

1x Brightshroom: The Brightshrooms grow on the ground in the ruin areas in Bahari Bay. Search areas like Flooded Steps, Statue Garden, and the ruins near the Hideaway Bluffs to find them easily.

After gathering all of the items, bring them to Tamala or Eshe. Go through the dialogues to receive 4 Cleansing Candles.

Place the candles in the mines

Now, go to the mines and place the candles at the marked spots. Follow the quest markers on the compass to find the spots and interact with them to place the candles. After placing the candles at the north, south, east, and west sides of the mines, go back to Hodari. Speak to Hodari and go through the dialogues to conclude the quest.

Rewards

Completing the Say It Ain’t Seance quest in Palia gives the following rewards.

Popular online content creator and cosplay prop maker Galactic Armory has received a Cease and Desist from Warhammer owner Games Workshop for copyright infringement.

The popular YouTuber has made a living recreating cosplay props for sci-fi IPs such as Halo, Star Wars and Warhammer 40K. Over the years, Galactic Armory has sold a number of props of helmets, weapons and other items in completed or semi-completed forms as well as STL files for fans to 3D print.

Galactic Armory receives C&D over Warhammer 40,000 props

In an announcement on YouTube, Aaron from Galactic Armory revealed that Games Workshop sent a Cease and Desist takedown notice to the creator following the announcement of the Lieutenant Titus’ Mark X Helmet Bundle.

“We thought we’d be okay based on the fact that they’re not really doing cosplay stuff,” the YouTuber explained. “Until, like, 2 days after the cease and desist came down.”

The creator explained that the team behind Galactic Armory will no longer be making any Warhammer-themed items in accordance with the Cease and Desist letter. Additionally, every item they’ve made in the past has been scrubbed from their online store, although some files may exist elsewhere on the internet.

“We ended up having to take down like 26 different uh designs of helmets, weapons, uh some armour sets, all sorts of different stuff,” they said. “And we’ve cancelled all future plans involving the 40k IP.”

The YouTuber expressed disappointment at Games Workshop’s decision simply due to the massive community events the team had started based on their Warhammer prop designs.

“Way back when we did the helmet contest and over 300 people submitted photos of their finished Warhammer custom helmets that they all made themselves,” the YouTuber said. “And so I felt really good about being able to put those files out there for people.”

“And now they get to make helmets and armor from one of their favorite universes at home,” they continued. “And it’s always one of my favorite things to go out and see some of our helmet files in the wild or see some armor files out there that somebody used to make something really awesome.”

While some fans have expressed anger towards Games Workshop’s decision, Galactic Armory doesn’t hold any ill will against the Warhammer IP owners.

“I want to just make sure or make it clear that I have no ill will towards GW for this,” they explained. “They are well within their right, of course, to ask us to do this. It’s their IP. They came up with all the Space Marines that we love, all the chaplains, they came up with it all. We just kind of filled a void that they weren’t really doing.”

Directive 8020 Delayed As Supermassive Announces Layoffs

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 is an upcoming sci-fi horror game that was originally set to release in October 2025, but will now be delayed until 2026 as British video game developer Supermassive Games has just announced they will be making another round of layoffs.

Supermassive Looking To Expand Beyond Horror Story Games

MD Pete Samuels recently shared a snippet of the studio’s current vision

The video game industry is being hit by waves of studio closures, layoffs, and canceled projects, and Supermassive Games states their cuts are part of a redundancy consultation process. “This decision was not taken lightly, and we know this will be an incredibly difficult time for everyone. Our absolute priority will be to offer full support to all those affected.”

There’s been a long list of layoffs in the gaming world recently, including some big names such as Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, and King, the developers of Candy Crush. As the industry continues to evolve, and many companies are injecting artificial intelligence into their development process, Supermassive Games says the decision to make cuts is vital to staying ahead of the curve.

“The games industry remains a challenging and ever-evolving environment. As we adapt our team structure to better align with these changes, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to begin a redundancy consultation process where we anticipate losing up to 36 of our colleagues.”

For many people, a new Dark Pictures horror game is the perfect way to get into the spirit of Halloween, and although we won’t be able to enjoy fending off the alien organisms of Directive 8020 this October, the community is just happy they’ve been given proper warning of the delay.

“I greatly appreciate the heads-up months in advance. There’s nothing worse than a delay coming a month before release when hype and excitement is reaching an all-time high. Looking forward to playing this and everything else Supermassive has in the pipeline!” (via r/DarkPicturesAnthology)

While gamers will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on 8020, Supermassive Games states their puzzle-platformer horror game Little Nightmares 3 is still on track to launch on October 9th 2025, and the layoffs will not affect its development.

Space Dingus is a spiritual sequel to Death Road to Canada

Space Dingus is a spiritual sequel to Death Road to Canada

Death Road to Canada is a lot of fun and so I have great expectations for the next game from Rocketcat Games, which is a spiritual sequel named Space Dingus.

They actually announced it a couple of weeks ago, which I entirely missed due to the overflowing amount of news lately. So I imagine a lot of readers missed it too. I’m always on the lookout for more online co-op games to play with my crew and this could fit the bill. A co-op horror road trip you say? With ship management? And full modding support? Oh I’m in, sounds awesome.

Giving a little detail on what to expect from it they said:

We’re going to be keeping a lot of familiar gameplay compared to Death Road, such as the Choose your own Adventure Events, general structure for picking your locations, and giant swarms of enemies. There will also be a lot of differences from Death Road. Here’s a short list:

Online multiplayer! This was a huge request from Death Road to Canada, now possible with the new engine we built.
Mouse aiming controls! You can see this and the headshot system in the Teaser Trailer.
Between picking locations, you have a big customizable Spaceship as a hub area.
Multiple enemy factions! A few will be the “slow zombie” archetype, and even those will have new twists that set them apart from both Death Road’s zombies, and each other.
Goofy, giant swan dives that will get you killed.

Check out the reveal trailer below:

Phil’s Adventure – This arcade platformer for the Plus/4 is pretty decent!

Phil’s Adventure – This arcade platformer for the Plus/4 is pretty decent!

Donkey Kong wasn’t the only brilliant release this week for the Plus/4, as another game worth mentioning on Indie Retro News, which was entered into the Arok Party 2025, is Epy and Csabo’s arcade platformer of ‘Phil’s Adventure’. A game whereby you need to traverse many different rooms, avoiding enemies, while also flipping switches and collecting a key to open the door to exit to the next level. In light of this news, as always, we’ve provided the full game details and gameplay footage below.

And here’s the game info from the Plus/4 Facebook page. Arok Party 2025 Chapter Two. Géza Eperjessy aka Epy didn’t stop yet! You learnt about it by playing Stick Man, Stick Man Árok Edition and Captain Slim. And now, here comes the super coloured, hyper playable, mega backtrack-ish, platform arcade adventure Phil’s Adventure! It looks as a very very simple game, but its secret is the power of 10 levels to escape from, tons of rooms, and a fantastic player’s control. Have a ride on it, I bet you’ll love as we did. Oh and, last but not least, it has been ranked as 2nd at the party! Well deserved!”

A new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle is coming for Pokémon Legends: Z-A

A new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle is coming for Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Similar to the handheld’s initial Mario Kart World bundle, this one will feature “a Nintendo Switch 2 system and a full game download for the Pokémon Legends: Z-A — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game,” when it becomes available on Oct. 16 for $499.99 MSRP.

Since this Switch 2 doesn’t feature a special design or custom skin and is still a few months away, fans will hopefully have a better chance at securing one without dealing with scalpers or overwhelming demand. That said, like the Mario Kart World bundle, it will only be available for a limited time.

Although Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be available for Nintendo Switch, the Switch 2 Edition boasts sharper graphics, enhanced framerates, and overall improved performance.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is slated to drop for Nintendo and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on Oct 16.

Vagabond’s 728-Page Definitive Edition Is Only $31 At Amazon

Vagabond’s 728-Page Definitive Edition Is Only At Amazon

Vagabond Definitive Edition Volume 1, one of the most exciting premium manga releases of the year so far, is on sale for only $31 (was $55) at Amazon. The gorgeous 728-page hardcover was published by Viz Media in January. This display-worthy tome collects the first three volumes in Takehiko Inoue’s legendary series that’s widely regarded as one of the best manga within its genre.

The second hardcover volume released in April, and Volume 3 was published just last week on July 15. Volume 2 is on sale for $40 (was $55), while Volume 3 is $48 (was $55). Amazon has opened preorders for the next three entries in the Vagabond Definitive Edition project. Vagabond fans can add one new Definitive Edition to their shelves every three months.

Vagabond Definitive Edition Manga Series (Hardcover)

With Amazon’s preorder price guarantee, you’ll only pay the lowest price offered from the time you order and when your book ships, and you won’t be charged until then.

Vagabond
Vagabond

If you’ve never read it, Vagabond follows the tale of Shinmen Takezou through 16th-century Japan. Also known as the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, the manga is a fictionalized account of his life and is based on Eiji Yoshikawa’s novel Musashi. A decades-spanning story, Vagabond focuses not only on the battles that made Musashi a legend but also on the more intimate moments of his life as he strives for enlightenment, through stunning art.

If you’re new to Vagabond and don’t want to drop $31-$55 on each book, most of the previously released paperbacks, which also collect three volumes each, can be purchased from Amazon for around $20 each. Volume 1 currently has a limited-time Amazon deal that drops the price to only $19. Note: Volume 13 is just one individual volume (Volume 37), so it’s not a VIZBIG Edition and is long out of print.

Vagabond has been on hiatus for a decade; Inoue shelved the project to focus on his health and pursue other projects. In the years since, Inoue has continued his basketball-themed series Real, which is an inspiring manga centered around wheelchair basketball that initially debuted in 1999. There’s no indication that Inoue will return to Vagabond in the future, but the current volumes are worth reading for their intricate plotting and mesmerizing visuals.
