Tropico 7 Is Coming To PC And Consoles Next Year

The long-running dictator simulation, city-builder series is back for a 7th entry, cunningly titled Tropico 7. It’s aiming for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC. It’ll also be arriving on Game Pass on day 1.

The series has changed hands a number of times over the years, with Tropico 6 in 2019 being made by Limbic Entertainment. This time it is Gaming Minds Studios (Port Royale 4, Railway Empire 2) that’s handling development duties.

Launching in 2026, the game is set to a new story across 5 maps where El Presidente must deal with nemesis Victoria Guerra, another 20 sandbox maps, 10 extra scenarios and a random map generator as well.

In terms of new gameplay, the features list mentions a terraforming tool that lets you remove mountains and create entire islands.

Here’s the full list of what’s the dev’s are offering up so far:

Lead your nation to new heights: Tropico 7 tells El Presidente’s continuous success story across 5 campaign maps – starring himself, Penultimo and a new nemesis: Victoria Guerra.

More is more: Archipelagos, with the biggest islands ever in the series, await your rule, expanded with 10 extra scenarios, more than 20 sandbox maps, and endless possibilities with a random map generator.

Move mountains – literally: Erase them, create beaches, or even create entirely new islands! The new terraforming feature brings your megalomaniac dreams to life. Start that mammoth project – NOW!

Bollocks uhm… Politics: Navigate the snares and pits of internal politics, when you summon the different factions to your council, a new way to meet them face to face while you pulverize their dreams – or use them for a BIG DEAL to your own advantage.

Make the world your playground: Elections, election speeches and a vast portfolio of edicts depending on your political standing spice up your daily rule while you juggle foreign affairs and occasionally steal… uhm relocate a landmark to revel in its benefits.

Built to prosper: Strategically place buildings to make use of synergy effects, keep citizen satisfaction high, and fill any unused plots of land with beautiful parks in a freely customised size.

Generalissimo No. 1: Eliminate those pesky rebels and fend off foreign threats with a reworked military system enabling more direct control of your military units.

Always judge a book by its cover: Customise the appearance of your palace and El Presidente with new and creative options.

The First Descendant Dev Apologizes After TikToks Featured AI Versions Of Content Creators Without Their Permission

The First Descendant Dev Apologizes After TikToks Featured AI Versions Of Content Creators Without Their Permission

Recently, The First Descendant developer Nexon ran a Creative Challenge program on TikTok that allowed users to submit content they have made to be used in ads for the game. However, it was quickly discovered that a number of videos submitted for the challenge, which later appeared on the official First Descendant TikTok account, had been entirely AI generated. These AI videos even included the likenesses of content creators who had no part in making them, and as a result Nexon has put out a statement on Steam apologizing for the situation.

“We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the recent issue regarding the TikTok Creative Challenge,” the Steam post reads. It goes on to note that TikTok had confirmed with Nexon that the video sharing social media currently has no system to “verify potential copyright infringement, and TikTok is now conducting further investigations to identify any additional cases.” The post also said that Nexon is taking the situation “very seriously,” further adding that it plans to improve its advertising and marketing processes.

Now Playing: The First Descendant: Breakthrough | Hover Bike Teaser Trailer

It’s worth noting that not only were the content creators used in these AI videos not involved in their creation, they also did not give their permission for their likeness to be used–one creator, DanieltheDemon, noted that he did not consent for his likeness to be used in such a way in a comment on a TikTok by Game Central.

The First Descendant first launched last year, and as it currently stands the game is sitting at a Mixed rating on Steam. GameSpot’s The First Descendant review wasn’t particularly positive either, giving the game a rating of 3/10.

Earlier this month, a collaboration with NieR: Automata was announced, with both 2B and A2 available as skins in-game.

Black Ops 7 brings back wallrunning, and introduces an unusual endgame mode to the campaign

Black Ops 7 brings back wallrunning, and introduces an unusual endgame mode to the campaign

We’ve been expecting today’s reveal, of course, ever since Activision confirmed back in July that Black Ops 7 would be part of Opening Night Live’s line-up this year. This is technically the game’s second “reveal”, because its first outing was at the very end of the Xbox Showcase back in June.

Today’s showcase was a lot more detailed, offering a look at gameplay that went beyond just a simple teaser of the game’s setting.

Manage cookie settings

First things first, the leaked November release date turned out to be accurate. Black Ops 7 is set for launch on November 14. As for today’s reveal, its focus was mainly on the larger systems, features, and new mechanics arriving with the game. As previously announced, the co-op campaign (four-player) returns, but Treyarch is adding a pretty unusual twist to that.

The campaign’s final mission is what the developer calls Endgame, and it’s essentially a replayable, open-world section with some RPG and extraction elements. You get to customise your loadout and take on missions and other challenges within runs, where you can also level up and earn new abilities.

We also got a look at some of the futuristic weaponry we’ll be able to wield, and a few of the locations we’re going to be visiting. There’s a big emphasis on movement in Black Ops 7, which builds on Black Ops 6’s Omnimovement system with new possibilities, including the return of wallrunning.

Round-based Zombies is a core feature of the game, of course. This year, you can look forward to vehicle-based gameplay, as well as the return of Survival maps. Multiplayer was touched on, but the full reveal won’t arrive until Call of Duty: Next on September 30. There’s going to be a beta following that, too, taking place October 2-8.

Black Ops 7’s story takes place in the near future, a decade after the events of Black Ops 2. The game is the first consecutive Black Ops release in Call of Duty history, following last year’s Black Ops 6.

As beloved as the Black Ops name is, however, this year’s game faces tough competition in the form of Battlefield 6, a game whose beta has been breaking records throughout the month, overtaking even the most popular Call of Duty release on Steam.

There’s still a lot yet to be revealed for Black Ops 7, but community sentiment so far has been a lot more in favour of Battlefield 6 over it. Call of Duty rarely misses, though, and even with it does, it still manages to be the best-selling game in the year of its release.

Kick Streamer Reportedly Dies On Camera After Months Of Alleged Abuse

Kick Streamer Reportedly Dies On Camera After Months Of Alleged Abuse

Raphaël “Jeanpormanove” Graven reportedly died in his sleep earlier this week following broadcasts on Kick where he was routinely assaulted by others in controversial “humiliation” livestreams. According to the BBC, a judicial investigation in France is underway, with French government minister for digital technologies Clara Chappaz calling what Graven experienced “absolute horror.”

The death of the 46-year-old, whose streaming career began with TikTok videos about GTA 5 and FIFA and who had amassed over a million followers across all his channels, appears to have been captured live during his latest, and last, marathon Kick broadcast. Graven’s more recent content, which he created as part of the collective Le LokalTV, included being seemingly brutalized by two fellow streamers who go by the aliases “Naruto” and “Safine,” with some clips appearing to show violent, prolonged strangulations. An investigation last year by Mediapart alleged that Graven had been subject to “months of online abuse.”

It’s unclear what exactly the relationship was between all of the men, though reporting by Mediapart suggests the “humiliation” streams were lucrative and helped propel the popularity of Graven and the group’s channel on Kick. Naruto and Safine were reportedly taken into custody earlier this year but were later released amid an ongoing investigation. Kick also temporarily suspended the channel but it later resumed streaming again. Clips of the alleged abuse can be found circulating online.

Mediapart now reports that viewers of the stream earlier this week on Discord became worried about Graven’s condition after he appeared to being laying motionless in his sleep for an extended period of time. According to the AFP, an autopsy to determine the cause of death has been ordered.

Kick is a competitor to Twitch and YouTube known for its loose guidelines and minimal moderation. Streamers there can promote gambling and other topics that are prohibited on other streaming platforms. A representative for Kick told the BBC it was “urgently reviewing” the circumstances around Graven’s apparent death on camera. “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jeanpormanove and extend our condolences to his family, friends and community,” they said.

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Unleashes Gameplay, Sets New Early 2026 Release Window | TheXboxHub
John Carpenter Toxic Commando – coming in 2026

The choppers are spinning up and the one-liners are being polished.

Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have descended upon Gamescom’s Opening Night Live with the first proper look at the gameplay for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando.

This new trailer for the 80s-inspired, action-horror co-op shooter has also confirmed a new release window, with the game now set to arrive in early 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

A Long-Awaited Dispatch

This is our first major dispatch from the front lines of this highly anticipated title in some time, and it’s packed with hordes of monsters, explosive off-road action, and all the buddy-movie vibes you could ask for.

It’s been a while since we first heard the call to arms for this explosive co-op shooter. When we first covered the game’s announcement back in 2023, it was slated for a 2024 launch. After a period of radio silence, this new “early 2026” release window and the first proper gameplay reveal have reignited the hype, giving us a much clearer picture of the carnage to come. All we can do is cross fingers and hope this one sticks…

Welcome to the Toxic Commando

The premise of the game is pure 80s gold. In the near future, an experimental attempt to harness the power of the Earth’s core goes horribly wrong, unleashing a “Sludge God” that turns the living into undead monsters. The genius behind the experiment knows he needs a team of highly trained mercenaries to fix his mess… but they were all too expensive.

And that’s why he hired THE TOXIC COMMANDO.

Hordes, Humour, and High Explosives

This is an over-the-top, co-op shooter that blends visceral first-person action with chaotic off-road driving.

You will team up with up to three friends in squads of four – with full cross-platform support across PC and consoles – to send the Sludge God and its minions back to the underworld.

You’ll pick your character and a class that matches your playstyle, pile into your favourite ride, and unload an array of gunfire, grenades, special abilities, and even “freaking katanas” on the slathering hordes.

Powered by the Swarm Engine

The massive enemy hordes you’ll face are all powered by Saber’s acclaimed Swarm Engine.

This is the same technology behind the unrelenting zombie waves in World War Z: Aftermath and the upcoming Tyranid swarms in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, so you can expect to be truly overwhelmed by sheer numbers.

The 80s Action-Horror Vibe

The entire experience is inspired by and created with the involvement of the legendary director, John Carpenter. The game aims to capture the unique blend of over-the-top action, genuine horror, and buddy-movie humour that defined the classic cinema of the 1980s. You’ll be saving the planet against impossible odds, and you’ll be having a damn good time doing it.

The mission has been set, and the commandos are gearing up for deployment. With the masters of horde gameplay at the helm and the blessing of a true horror icon, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is shaping up to be the ultimate co-op creature feature.

The war against the slime begins in early 2026. Hopefully.

Expect to find it on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, through both Epic and Steam.

Here you will find the Helldivers 2 Halo Warbond release date along with all of the wicked ODST weapons and armor included for HD2 players.

Helldivers 2 Halo Warbond release date

The release date for the Helldivers 2 Halo Warbond is August 26th. This is the same day as HD2 lands on Xbox consoles as confirmed by Microsoft.

Below is all of the weapons, armor, and more included in the Warbond:

MA5C Assault Rifle

An iconic rifle; the definition of reliable and having taken down countless aliens bent on wiping out humanity, it is time to turn its sights on enemies of Managed Democracy. It comes equipped with the convenient ammo counter and a built-in compass – let it guide you to victory.

M7S SMG

Silent and deadly, with caseless ammo and a non-removable suppressor; this weapon is ready to spread Freedom to every corner of the galaxy.

M90A Shotgun

This powerful shotgun carries a kick and has a handy flashlight mounted on it so you can see the fear in your enemies’ eyes before you teach them a valuable lesson about Liberty.

M6C/SOCOM Pistol

They say keep your friends close and your sidearm closer. Well, we say that. The standard-issue ODST sidearm is your silent ally in the field – equipped with a built-in laser sight, flashlight, and, for the first time in Helldivers 2, a suppressor to support stealth gameplay. Because sometimes the best way to enforce Peace is quietly…

A-9 Helljumper

Debuted during the New Mombasa Armor Show, this sleek ensemble is sure to turn heads and blow minds.

A-35 Recon

Made famous by the Ministry of Intelligence’s hide-and-seek-and-destroy champion of ’52, this armor has been improved by removing excess shoulder protection.

Feet First Armor Passive

Applied to both the above armor sets, this passive allows your Helldiver Helljumper to make less noise when moving, become immune to leg injuries, and increases the range of discovering points of interest by 30%.

Honored Heirloom Cape

Should the wearer of this cape perish at the hands of Freedom’s enemies, it is customary to pass the cape on to their bravest child during the funeral, inspiring the next generation to take up arms.

Eye of the Clandestine Cape

Those who serve Liberty from the shadows often elect to stay anonymous, moving like traceless spectres through the night. May they watch over us always.

More!

The Warbond will also include ODST-themed player cards, a new player title, “Rookie”, and new vehicle pattern in a very familiar color known as Mean Green.

On Discord, it’s confirmed that the Warbond will cost 1,500 Super Credits. It’s also noted that the Halo Warbond isn’t “compatible with the new Premium Warbond Token launching” the same day HD2 joins Xbox Series X/S.

At Gamescom 2025, NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Ray Tracing Come to This Year’s Biggest Titles

0
At Gamescom 2025, NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Ray Tracing Come to This Year’s Biggest Titles

With over 175 games now supporting NVIDIA DLSS 4 — a suite of advanced, AI-powered neural rendering technologies — gamers and tech enthusiasts everywhere can experience breakthrough performance in this year’s most anticipated titles, including Borderlands 4, Hell Is Us and Fate Trigger.

Plus, path tracing is making its way to Resident Evil Requiem and Directive 8020, as well as ray tracing in upcoming releases like Phantom Blade Zero, PRAGMATA and CINDER CITY — enabling crystal-clear visuals for more immersive gameplay

“DLSS 4 and path tracing are no longer cutting-edge graphical experiments — they’re the foundation of modern PC gaming titles,” said Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing at NVIDIA. “Developers are embracing AI-powered rendering to unlock stunning visuals and massive performance gains, enabling gamers everywhere to experience the future of real-time graphics today.”

These announcements come alongside a new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series bundle for Borderlands 4 and updates to the NVIDIA app — a companion platform for content creators, gamers and AI enthusiasts using NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs.

DLSS 4 Now Accelerating Over 175 Games and Applications

Launched with the GeForce RTX 50 Series earlier this year, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation uses AI to generate up to three frames for every traditionally rendered frame, delivering performance boosts of up to 8x over traditional rendering.

In addition to Multi Frame Generation, DLSS 4 titles include support for DLSS Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction and NVIDIA Reflex technology — unlocking incredible performance gains and responsive gameplay for every GeForce RTX 50 Series owner.

New titles announced at Gamescom that will support the latest RTX technologies include:

Directive 8020 and Resident Evil Requiem, which are launching with DLSS 4 and path tracing
Black State, CINDER CITY (formerly Project LLL), Cronos: The New Dawn, Dying Light: The Beast, Honeycomb: The World Beyond, Lost Soul Aside, The Outer Worlds 2, Phantom Blade Zero and PRAGMATA, which are launching with DLSS 4 and ray tracing
Borderlands 4 and Fate Trigger, which are launching with DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which in September will add support for RTX Hair, a technology that uses new hardware capabilities in RTX 50 Series GPUs to model hair with greater path-traced detail and realism

Many of these RTX titles will also launch on the GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform, including Borderlands 4, CINDER CITY (formerly Project LLL), Hell Is Us and The Outer Worlds 2.

NVIDIA App Adds Global DLSS Overrides and Software Updates

The NVIDIA app is the essential companion for NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU users, simplifying the process of keeping PCs updated with the latest GeForce Game Ready and NVIDIA Studio Drivers.

New updates to the NVIDIA app include:

Global DLSS Overrides: Easily enable DLSS Multi-Frame Generation or DLSS Super Resolution profiles globally across hundreds of DLSS Override titles, instead of needing to configure per title.
Project G-Assist Upgrades: The latest update to Project G-Assist — an on-device AI assistant that lets users control and tune their RTX systems with voice and text commands — introduces a significantly more efficient AI model that uses 40% less memory. Despite its smaller footprint, it responds to queries faster and more accurately calls the right tools.
Highly Requested Legacy 3D Settings: Use easily configurable control panel settings — including anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing and ambient occlusion — to enhance classic games.

The NVIDIA app beta update launches Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 9 a.m. PT, with full availability coming the following week.

NVIDIA ACE Enhances Voice-Driven Gaming Experiences

NVIDIA ACE — a suite of generative AI technologies that power lifelike non-playable character interactions in games like Krafton’s inZOI — now features in Iconic Interactive’s The Oversight Bureau, a darkly comic, voice-driven puzzle game.

Using speech-to-text technology powered by ACE, players can interact naturally with in-game characters using speech, with Iconic’s Narrative Engine interpreting the input and determining and delivering the pre-recorded character dialogue that best fits the story and situation.

This system keeps developers in creative control while offering players real agency in games — all running locally on RTX AI PCs with sub-second latency.

The Oversight Bureau launches later this year and will be playable at NVIDIA’s Gamescom B2B press suite.

NVIDIA RTX Remix Evolves With Community Expansions and New Particle System

NVIDIA RTX Remix, an open-source modding platform for remastering classic games with path tracing and neural rendering, continues to grow thanks to its passionate community.

Modders have been using large language models to extend RTX Remix’s capabilities. For example, one modder “vibe coded” a plug-in that connects RTX Remix to Adobe Substance 3D, the industry-standard tool for 3D texturing and materials. Another modder made it possible for RTX Remix to use classic game data to instantly make objects glow with emissive effects.

RTX Remix’s open-source community has even expanded compatibility to allow many new titles to be remastered, including iconic games like Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Knights Of The Old Republic, Doom 3, Half-Life: Black Mesa and Bioshock.

Some of these games were featured in the RTX Remix’s $50K Mod Contest, which wrapped up at Gamescom. Painkiller RTX by Merry Pencil Studios won numerous awards, including “Best Overall RTX Remix Mod.” Explore all mod submissions on ModDB.com.

At Gamescom, NVIDIA also unveiled a new RTX Remix particle system that brings dynamic, realistically lit and physically accurate particles to 165 classic games — the majority of which have never had a particle editor.

Modders can use the system to change the look, size, quantity, light emission, turbulence and even gravity of particles in games. The new particle system will be available in September.

‘Borderlands 4’ GeForce RTX 50 Series Bundle Available Now

To celebrate Gearbox’s Borderlands 4, which will be enhanced by DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex, NVIDIA is introducing a new GeForce RTX 50 Series bundle.

Players who purchase a GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, or 5070 desktop system or graphics card — or laptops with a GeForce RTX™ 5090 Laptop GPU, RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU or RTX 5070 Laptop GPU from participating retailers — will receive a copy of Borderlands 4 and The Gilded Glory Pack DLC. The offer is available through Monday, Sept. 22.

The Most Relaxing Driving Game Ever Is Finally Coming To PlayStation

The Most Relaxing Driving Game Ever Is Finally Coming To PlayStation

If you’ve been wanting to live out your trucker fantasies on the PlayStation 5, the wait looks like it’s almost over.

Store pages for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are now live on the official PlayStation Store. There’s no official announcement at this time, but with it being gamescom week, don’t be surprised to see these games pop up at some point during the show.

It’s been a long time coming for these games to see a console port. Euro Truck Simulator 2 was first released on PC in 2012, with American Truck Simulator following up in 2016.

The PlayStation library is no stranger to simulation games, whether it’s similar simulator titles like this or other sim games such as Two Point Hospital.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator Are Two of the Very Best in Their Genre

Despite their age, both games remain some of the best of their class, with both boasting “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam.

Euro Truck Simulator lets you travel across Europe with the intention of transporting cargo across the continent. This includes iconic cities such as London, the scenic sights of the European countryside, and everything in between, with more than 60 European cities available.

The American counterpart, American Truck Simulator, is more of the same, albeit taking place in the United States. The PlayStation Store’s page mentions how the game is based on the success of Euro Truck Simulator 2. There’s a far more robust list of features available, including truck models from officially licensed manufacturers, cabin customization, a photo mode, and more.

At this time, there’s no release date or price point available for either game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the titles as a shadow dropped release following their announcement. Both games are $19.99 currently on Steam.
