A Step-by-Step Guide to Magic Eden’s Season 2 Rewards | NFT News Today

A Step-by-Step Guide to Magic Eden’s Season 2 Rewards | NFT News Today

Magic Eden’s Season 2 rewards program launched April 17, 2025, introducing revamped mechanisms for earning ME tokens through trading, staking, and platform engagement. The new system simplifies reward calculations, offers real-time tracking via hourly leaderboard updates, and expands eligible activities to include Bitcoin-based Runes and Ordinals trading.

    Key Takeaways

Season 2 runs from April 17 to mid-August 2025, with rewards calculated using both trading volume and staking power.

Staking ME tokens provides multipliers ranging from 1.07x (7-day lockup) to 3.65x (365-day lockup), with early adopters receiving a 5% bonus before May 1.

Every $1 in trading volume adds 1 point to your leaderboard score, with bonus points for linking wallets and daily trading.

The reward formula combines trading volume and staking power: Total rewards = (Trading volume × 0.15) + (Staking power × 0.10).

Season 2 addresses Season 1 feedback by eliminating tranche-based rewards and focusing on individual performance metrics.

How to Earn ME Tokens in Season 2

Magic Eden’s Season 2 rewards program offers multiple pathways to earn ME tokens. The platform now tracks several activities that contribute to your overall rewards calculation. These include:

    Trading NFTs on the platform

Swapping tokens (now including Bitcoin-based Runes and Ordinals)

Staking ME tokens with various lockup periods

Linking external wallets (one-time 50-point bonus per wallet)

Unlike Season 1, which faced criticism for its complicated tranche system, Season 2 bases rewards solely on individual performance. This change makes the program more accessible to new users while rewarding consistent participants.

    Staking Strategies for Maximum Returns

Staking serves as a powerful multiplier in the Season 2 rewards structure. The longer you commit to locking your tokens, the higher your staking power becomes.

Here’s how the lockup periods affect your multiplier:

    7 days: 1.07x multiplier

    30 days: 1.30x multiplier

    90 days: 1.90x multiplier

    180 days: 2.80x multiplier

    365 days: 3.65x multiplier

For example, if you stake 100 ME tokens for 30 days, your staking power becomes 130 (100 × 1.30). Once staked, tokens cannot be withdrawn until the lockup period ends, though you can extend durations retroactively to increase your multiplier.

Magic Eden has added a helpful “Max” button on their staking dashboard that automatically allocates all available tokens in your wallet. Early birds who stake before May 1 receive an additional 5% bonus on staking multipliers for the first 30 days.

    Optimizing Your Trading Score

Trading activity forms the backbone of the Season 2 rewards program. The system is straightforward—every $1 in trading volume adds 1 point to your leaderboard score. This applies across all eligible assets, including NFTs, tokens, and the newly integrated Runes and Ordinals.

Data from the first week of Season 2 shows top 10% traders averaging 12,000+ points as of April 21, 2025. The leaderboard thresholds fluctuate hourly, so consistent trading is key to maintaining rank.

Magic Eden has added several bonus opportunities to boost trading scores:

Daily trade bonuses that increase with consecutive trading days

A one-time 50-point bonus for each new wallet linked to your account

Time Boosts feature giving 5-second clock advantages after winning three consecutive duels

Using the Leaderboard to Track Progress

The Season 2 leaderboard offers hourly updates, a significant improvement over Season 1’s limited transparency. The redesigned interface shows:

This real-time feedback makes it easier to adjust your strategy based on current performance. The leaderboard also highlights how close you are to reaching the next reward tier, allowing for targeted efforts to improve your position.

    Understanding Reward Calculations

Magic Eden has simplified the reward formula for Season 2:

    Total rewards = (Trading volume × 0.15) + (Staking power × 0.10)

For example, if you accumulate $10,000 in trading volume and 500 staking power, your reward calculation would be:

    Trading component: $10,000 × 0.15 = 1,500 points

    Staking component: 500 × 0.10 = 50 points

    Total: 1,550 ME tokens

Rewards are weighted toward the top 20% of participants, with distribution scheduled for mid-August 2025. For context, Season 1 distributed 10 million ME tokens worth approximately $8 million.

Season 2 Timeline and Strategic Planning

Season 2 runs from April 17 to mid-August 2025, providing ample time to build both trading volume and staking power. The program includes several time-sensitive advantages:

Early-bird staking bonus (5% extra on multipliers) for those who stake before May 1

Compounding benefits for long-term stakers (90+ days)

Daily trading bonuses that increase over consecutive days

Magic Eden’s simulation data suggests the optimal strategy combines high-frequency trading with long-term staking. Users who balance both activities tend to outperform those who focus exclusively on one approach.

    Improvements from Season 1

Season 2 addresses several pain points from the inaugural rewards program:

Elimination of confusing tranche-based allocations in favor of individual metrics

Hourly leaderboard updates instead of limited visibility

Clear percentile brackets showing exact standing

Interactive elements like audio and association duels to increase engagement

More balanced weighting between trading and staking activities

These changes respond directly to community feedback after Season 1, which faced criticism for undervaluing long-term stakers and lacking transparency in reward calculations.

One Of Elaine’s Goofiest Subplots On Seinfeld Was A Last Minute Addition – SlashFilm

One Of Elaine’s Goofiest Subplots On Seinfeld Was A Last Minute Addition – SlashFilm

Part of what made “Seinfeld” so fresh and original was that it was unlike any other sitcom that had aired on television before. Most of the plots throughout its stellar nine season run could veer into the realm of outlandish absurdity, but there would often be this human commonality at the center of their conception, like someone double dipping a chip at a party or trying to find your car in the parking garage. NBC had the nerve to give the greenlight to a story about a bet involving masturbation, and from the moment it aired, the vernacular introduced in “The Contest” has become a common turn of phrase. But sometimes, it’s the little things that make for a great episode.

In the season 8 episode, “The Muffin Tops,” everyone on the “Seinfeld” crew is having their own separate predicament. Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) struggles with an itchy chest after shaving to appease his girlfriend, George (Jason Alexander) is pretending to be a tourist to get a date, and Kramer (Michael Richards) finds himself in an inception tour bus get-rich-quick scheme to capitalize on his fame. Yet it’s Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) who walks away with the best subplot, however ridiculous it is.

The episode gets its namesake after Elaine tells her publishing boss Mr. Lippman (Richard Handy) that someone should open up a place where you can only buy muffin tops. Not too long afterwards, she discovers a new store run by him called “Top of the Muffin to You.” But when profits are starting to drop, Mr. Lippman brings Elaine into the business, which is like a dream come true. From Kramer trying to get rid of the muffin stumps to Newman (Wayne Knight) devouring them all, “The Muffin Tops,” which features Rebecca De Mornay (not that one), takes advantage of a hilarious scenario that almost didn’t go through.

The Muffin Tops subplot happened because of a misunderstanding

In a behind the scenes featurette, “Seinfeld” writer Spike Feresten talks about how he initially had an idea for a subplot involving a bearcat scanner. He decided to veer in a different direction, claiming that an episode of “Frasier” beat him to the punch only a few days before the episode was about to shoot. It sounds like a reasonable excuse, especially not wanting to swim in similar waters of one of the most successful spin-off shows of all time, but the only issue is that he’s wrong — or at the very least, misremembering.

I did some digging because I was curious as to what episode Feresten could have been referring to, but after cross checking the dates of the episode’s 1997 production date with the episodes of “Frasier” that aired around that time, I came to the conclusion there was no such episode that had a plot involving bearcat scanners. It turns out no one else on the internet could, either, and the internet remembers everything. Whether Feresten was misremembering an episode of a different show or simply needed an excuse to write something different, it’s all for the best, because the muffin tops storyline is hilarious.

Feresten came up with the subplot on account of a girlfriend who didn’t bother with the muffin stumps after she ate the top. I see the vision, to an extent: The muffin tops really are the best part. There’s nothing wrong with the stumps, but it’s not as exciting to chomp into them once the edges are gone. But the idea of making batches of batches upon muffins and essentially tossing out half of your product really plays into the psychotic behavior of this world. If only Elaine knew that you would eventually be able to buy muffin tops at the store without having to go to the trouble of stuffing bags of uneaten stumps in the back of your friend’s makeshift tour bus.

Furious Jeff Brazier doubles down on feud with Jackiey Budden as he finally addresses lawsuit to stop her seeing his sons

Jeff Brazier has spoken out amid his legal battle with Jackiey Budden.

For more than a decade Jeff, 45 and Jackiey, 68 – who is Jade Goody’s mum – have been at loggerheads. Earlier this year, it was reported that he is taking legal action to stop her from spending time with his son Freddy, 20.

Now, Jeff – who appears on the new series of BBC’s Pilgrimage today (April 20) – has doubled down on the feud with Jackiey.

Jeff has reportedly launched legal action against Jackiey (Credit: YouTube)

Jeff Brazier and Jackiey Budden ‘feud’

TV star Jeff shared both Freddy and Bobby, 21, with late star Jade Goody – who died from cervical cancer in 2009 aged just 27.

However, Jeff has been in a long-running ‘feud’ with her mother Jackiey for years. The animosity between them reportedly began shortly after the death of Jade.

Ever since, Jeff and Jade’s mum haven’t seen eye-to-eye. And it was recently reported that he wants to prevent her from spending time with Freddy.

It’s believed that Jeff feels Freddy’s relationship with Jackiey has been “detrimental to him”. Sources claimed he is “concerned” about his son, and that he is “going down this route” to keep Freddy safe.

And now, amid his reported legal action to “protect” Freddy from Jackiey, Jeff has opened up about the ordeal.

Jeff Brazier ‘would not see it differently’

Jeff is one of many famous faces taking part in the new series of Pilgrimage this year.

In the BBC show, Jeff, and other celebs like Jay McGuiness and Helen Lederer, embark on a reflective and spiritual journey.

And according to Jeff, the pilgrimage gave him the time and space “to clarify the direction I needed to go in”.

However, talking to Radio Times, he insisted that experience has not changed his mind about his feud with Jackiey.

“You could leave me on a hilltop for two years and I would not see it differently,” Jeff said.

‘I was denying myself all the emotions’

He also discussed his faith before the tragic death of Jade and said: “My early reflection on God was that if there is a God, then these things would not have happened to me.”

However, it was while raising his two young sons when his perception changed. He explained: “By the time the boys lost their mum, turning to God was not an option. I just knew I had to [raise them].

“I had a can-do attitude. But it was a shield and I was denying myself all the emotions.”

Watch Jeff on Pilgrimage on Sunday (April 20) at 9:00pm on BBC Two.

Kling 2.0 Review: State of the Art AI Video Quality – Decrypt

Kling 2.0 Review: State of the Art AI Video Quality – Decrypt

Kling 2.0, a major upgrade to the state-of-the-art AI video generator released by the Chinese tech firm Kuaishou, hit the market last week to a flood of jaw-dropping reactions from creators, who quickly burned through hundreds of dollars testing its capabilities.

“AI video quality just 10x’d overnight. I’m speechless,” tweeted AI filmmaker PJ Ace, who claimed to have already spent $1,250 in credits exploring the tool’s limits. “I’ve never seen motion this fluid or prompts this accurate.” The post garnered over 757,000 views, highlighting the buzz around this release.

The new version marks a significant leap forward from Kling 1.6, offering enhanced prompt understanding, more fluid character movement, and improved visual aesthetics that users describe as looking “filmed, not generated.” Most notably, Kling 2.0 can generate videos up to 2 minutes long, leaving competitors like OpenAI’s Sora in the dust when it comes to extended narrative possibilities.

“Overall, Kling does maintain the top spot on the leaderboard,” the YouTuber Tim Simmon, who specializes in reviewing generative AI models, said in his review. He believes it’s the clear winner in image-to-video generation, with the competition being closer when it comes to a direct text-to-video generation.

This new version arrives in an increasingly crowded AI video-generation market. Competitors include Runway, known for high-fidelity outputs—which recently released its v4 model, focused on cinematic results—and Google’s Veo2, with its robust text-to-video capabilities and aesthetically pleasing results.

So far, the model has yet to be featured on Artificial Analysis’ Video Generator Leaderboard—which ranks all the best generative video models—however its predecessor, Kling 1.6 is already the leader in image-to-video and ranks second on text-to-video based on blind tests.

Kling 2.0 features a multi-elements editor, allowing users to add, swap, or delete video content using text or image inputs.

The platform also introduces two specialized components: Kling 2.0 Master for video generation and Kolors 2.0 for image creation—not to be confused with another open-source Chinese AI image generator that was released under the same “Kolor” name—giving creators more control over their outputs.

The tool’s focus on cinematic quality makes it particularly attractive to filmmakers, marketers, and content creators. The model is extremely powerful in terms of resources, with generations taking hours in the free plan and up to 16 minutes for nearly 5 seconds of video in online platforms.

Pricing starts at $29 per month for the standard plan, which includes Professional mode, 8-second videos, and an allowance of 30 videos per day. A free plan offers 6 daily generations with 4-second limits and watermarks. The Professional plan, at $89 a month, delivers high resolution, advanced motion controls, and priority processing.

        Testing the model

We tried the new model in five categories—dynamism, illustration, text-to-video, structural coherence, and multi-subject coherence. Here’s what we found.

        Dynamism

All video generators handle still scenes well, but typically struggle with rapid movement, intricate scenes, and dynamic setup. This mirrors real-life video or animation—pause your TV during a “Tom & Jerry” chase or an action-packed war scene, and you’ll spot weird frames everywhere.

We tested the model with a still image of a man flying through a city and asked it to generate the scene.

Kling 2.0 proved extremely sensitive to minor prompt changes. Our first attempt used: “Dynamic tracking shot: A man is flying at extremely high speeds in a bustling city street. The camera follows closely behind, capturing the rush of buildings and traffic whizzing by, enhancing the sense of speed and exhilaration after he takes a sharp turn.”

Unfortunately the prompt generated the illusion of a subject kind of being vacuumed backwards down the street. This was likely due to our choice of words in the prompt.

So we removed just one word: “behind.” That altered the result, producing a much better video showing the subject flying forward, facing the camera.

Kling captured the key scene elements—dynamic and fast-paced movement—though the subject’s body morphed weirdly when changing direction, and some elements lacked uniform structure. Other models like Google’s Veo2 trade dynamism for realism, creating slower, more static, but more coherent scenes.

        Illustration

Prompt: “360-degree horizontal pan: A bustling city intricately built around a massive tree, filled with houses and bridges. The camera smoothly moves from the front to the back of the tree, capturing children playing, people engaging in daily activities, and flying cars landing on branches and taking off, all under a warm, inviting atmosphere.”

The model excels with imaginative styles like comics and illustrations, but struggles with minor details. It prioritizes coherence over detail, respecting the main prompt elements with smooth camera movement and a fluid scene.

Object structure remains solid without the wiggling seen in other generators, though some kids (which would be small details beyond the original structure of the whole composition—a tree and the busy around it) lose coherence, and flying cars occasionally disappear.

Still, this test produced the best results we’ve seen from any video generator.

        Text-to-video

Prompt: “A blonde woman in a red dress and an Asian man in black suit chat inside of a Starbucks. Medium shot.”

Text-to-video presents unique challenges for AI generators. The model must create an initial frame (essentially a text-to-image task) and use that as a reference for all subsequent frames. Ideally, you’d want a specialized image generator for that first frame—and ideally for the last frame too if you want the best coherence.

Kling 2.0 doesn’t particularly shine here—but it’s not bad either. The scene has the characteristic airbrushed style common to many image generators, but bodies maintain proper structure, fingers appear accurate, and there aren’t noticeable artifacts disrupting the scene.

It’s an improvement over Kling 1.6, but not what the model was designed for.

        Structural coherence

Prompt: “Aerial view: shot of an intricate, abstract architectural structure rotating.”

While Kling may struggle with small details in crowded scenes, it excels at maintaining coherence and detail in single-subject shots.

We shared an image of an intricate piece and asked the model to make it rotate. Kling 2.0 handled this nearly flawlessly—the lighting remained consistent, movement was uniform, no artifacts appeared, and the structure maintained its integrity.

This capability makes it potentially valuable for 3D modeling, enabling object and scene previews from different angles.

        Multi-subject coherence

Prompt: “Five gray wolf pups frolicking and chasing each other around a remote gravel road, surrounded by grass. The pups run and leap, chasing each other, and nipping at each other, playing.”

This remains the Achilles’ heel of all video models, Kling 2.0 included. Ever since OpenAI showed Sora failing to generate a pack of baby animals playing together, all video generators have attempted this challenge with mixed results. No model consistently achieves perfect outcomes.

Kling 2.0 generated a vivid, realistic-enough scene, but the wolves merge into each other, appearing and disappearing between frames. If the only thing analyzed is coherence, then there is not a lot of difference between Kling 2.0 and Kling 1.6.

One notable improvement: the irregularities mostly occur in the background, with foreground animals maintaining better coherence most of the time.

Kling 2.0 can be accessed via Kling AI, Freepik, Pollo AI and other providers.

Analysts Eye a $1 BlockDAG—A 3,932% Return on the Table as AVAX Holds Steady

        0
Analysts Eye a BlockDAG—A 3,932% Return on the Table as AVAX Holds Steady

AVAX is back in the spotlight as traders revisit old highs and fresh chart patterns, with the AVAX price prediction showing signs of a possible move. Meanwhile, Binance just completed a massive BNB token burn, pulling over $900 million worth of BNB out of circulation—something that could tighten supply in the long run.

Then there’s BlockDAG, the quiet climber that’s now front and center. After jumping 2,380% during presale, it still holds a potential 3,932% return if the $1 projection plays out. So why are analysts so confident? A lot of it comes down to the soaring demand for the BDAG coins and miners, which are clear signs of growing confidence in the project’s real-world potential as a leading layer 1 blockchain.

AVAX Price Prediction Points to Potential Breakout

The AVAX price prediction is drawing renewed attention as technical indicators align with key market behavior. After reaching its all-time high of $146 in 2021, Avalanche spent much of 2022 and 2023 in a consolidation range. Currently, the price is testing a major support level while forming a descending triangle—a structure often linked to upward breakouts.

AVAX Price Prediction Points to Potential Breakout

The relative strength index (RSI-14) also suggests a possible reversal. Analysts tracking AVAX price prediction now point to the $60 resistance level as a potential target, should the token break out in the coming weeks. Price action remains closely tied to these unfolding technical patterns.

BNB Token Burn Removes $916M in Tokens as Supply Target Nears

Binance Chain has completed its 31st BNB token burn, removing over 1.57 million BNB—valued at approximately $916 million—from circulation. This regular reduction, driven by the BEP95 proposal, aims to gradually cut total supply to 100 million tokens.

BNB Token Burn Removes $916M in Tokens as Supply Target NearsBNB Token Burn Removes $916M in Tokens as Supply Target Nears

With BNB now trading below key exponential moving averages and RSI indicators showing mild bearishness, price recovery remains uncertain in the short term.

However, the impact of the recent BNB token burn could support long-term value if market demand strengthens. Traders are monitoring key resistance near $600, while derivatives data point to mixed sentiment across futures markets.

Analysts Are Calling $1 & Miners Are Plugging In. What’s Fueling BlockDAG?

Analysts have placed a bold $1 price target on BlockDAG this year, and that might sound ambitious—until looking at where BlockDAG started. The coin launched at just $0.001 and has already jumped to $0.0248 by Batch 27, marking a 2,380% increase during presale alone. That kind of move, combined with $215 million raised and over 19.2 billion BDAG sold, has analysts watching closely.

What’s getting attention now is the remaining upside. If the $1 target holds, the return from today’s price is roughly 3,932%. For many, it’s not just the gains so far—it’s what those gains might signal about where things are heading next.

The demand for BlockDAG’s X series miners has become nearly as intense as the rush for its coins. Over 16,900 mining units have been sold, bringing in close to $6.9 million in revenue. Devices like the X10, X30, and X100 have seen consistent interest from users gearing up to secure a stake in the network.

Analysts Are Calling $1 & Miners Are Plugging In. What’s Fueling BlockDAG?Analysts Are Calling $1 & Miners Are Plugging In. What’s Fueling BlockDAG?

Unlike app-based mining alone, these hardware setups suggest deeper engagement and a growing belief in the project’s long-term value. The focus on energy efficiency and ease of use only adds to their appeal, helping BlockDAG gain early traction in both accessibility and infrastructure.

What gives the $1 forecast added weight is the tech being delivered behind the scenes. BlockDAG has launched a working testnet equipped with no-code tools, and plans for the mainnet and multiple exchange listings are already in motion. Features like staking, lending, and dApp support are also on the roadmap.

As a layer 1 blockchain, it’s building a foundation from the ground up, not relying on external networks. With the coin priced at $0.0248 and the presale closing in on its final phases, the current window for entry is narrowing fast.

        To Sum it Up

Looking ahead, Avalanche’s setup will be worth watching as technical indicators hint at possible movement; still, any confirmed shift in trend will define the direction of the AVAX price prediction. Over on Binance Chain, the long-term impact of the recent BNB token burn may unfold gradually, especially if demand begins to outpace shrinking supply.

But among the three, BlockDAG is generating the most forward momentum. With presale gains already in the thousands and a real shot at a 3,932% return, its climb toward $1 is gaining credibility. As a layer 1 blockchain, it’s building fast, and the clock on early access is ticking.

ConstitutionDAO But for the Apocalypse: Solana NFT Project Aims to Buy Nuclear Bunker – Decrypt

ConstitutionDAO But for the Apocalypse: Solana NFT Project Aims to Buy Nuclear Bunker – Decrypt

Remember when ConstitutionDAO tried (and failed) to buy a copy of the U.S. Constitution? Well, now there’s a project aiming to do much the same with a nuclear bunker.

The creators of doomsday-themed Solana project Meatbags hope to purchase a nuclear bunker built during the Cold War in Rutland, England. To do this, 100,000 Billionaire Bunker Club NFTs will be offered for sale at $14 a pop in an attempt to raise $1.4 million, with NFT holders forming a decentralized autonomous organization or DAO collective that will vote on what to do with the property.

The site spans 1.4 acres with a nuclear bunker and former reservoir, according to SDL Property Auctions, and was built in 1960 to act as a British Royal Observer Corps (ROC) Cold War monitoring post. This was one of 1,500 underground monitoring posts built across the United Kingdom, during a time of heightened fear of nuclear war.

Photo of the nuclear bunker and reservoir. Image: SDL Property Auctions.

Planning permission has already been secured for the site by its current owners to turn it into a luxury home with two floors of “cathedral-type ceilings,” a large glass frontage, and views across the Leicestershire countryside. Meatbags claims to have an estimate on how much these plans will cost, and the team has factored this into the NFT raising price.

The attempt recalls the well-publicized effort from ConstitutionDAO, which formed in late 2021 in an attempt to purchase a copy of the U.S. Constitution at auction.

Despite raising about $47 million to further such aims, the DAO failed to win the auction, losing out to billionaire Citadel CEO Ken Griffin. ConstitutionDAO eventually refunded its participants, which Meatbags has also pledged to do if it can’t secure the aforementioned bunker or an alternative site within six months of its bid being rejected.

But other DAO-driven efforts have had more success fulfilling their aims—such as LinksDAO, which purchased the Spey Bay Golf Club in Scotland in 2023 and is overhauling the site.

Robert, the pseudonymous co-founder and CEO of Meatbags creator Dead Bruv, told Decrypt that the team has scoped out a couple of alternatives already, some of which are also in the United Kingdom—but they’re open to landing a site elsewhere, too.

“We’re confident we’ll be able to get our hands on a bunker,” he added.

        Billionaire bunker club

If the Meatbags collective successfully purchases the property as the result of the upcoming “Buy the Bunker” campaign, it will allow the newly formed DAO to vote on what will be done with the property.

“I guess the idea would be to be able to have people come to the property, stay on it. Either I think it will turn into a tourist attraction, or I think it could also go down the route of being an insane property on Airbnb,” Robert told Decrypt. “Ultimately, it’ll come down to what the DAO votes [for].”

Meatbags is a narrative-driven NFT project about doomsday preppers living in a world that is coming to an end, called Surviville, which mirrors real-world concerns like war tensions, global pandemics, and the rise of powerful AI. As such, the community already has its toe in the world of doomsday prepping—so there’s a chance the DAO could vote to use the property as a functional bunker if the worst was to happen.

Aside from participating in the DAO, Billionaire Bunker Club holders will also receive an on-chain land deed verifying that they own a share of the bunker, and will be invited to an opening party.

Robert claims to have reached out to the auctioneers via email and said they appear open to the NFT project buying the property. SDL Property Auctions did not respond to Decrypt’s request for comment.

The site is currently listed for a guide price of over £650,000 (or about $862,000) plus fees. Meatbags aims to raise $1.4 million so it can also refurbish the place, create wiggle room for negotiating, and pay management, operating, and legal fees incurred throughout the campaign. The DAO will vote on how any remaining funds will be used.

Billionaire Bunker Club NFTs will go on sale on Monday at 8am ET, with users able to purchase using Solana Pay or credit card via the Dead Bruv website.

ConstitutionDAO fell short of its own goal, and attempting to sell 100,000 NFTs in 2025 at any price might seem like a Herculean task. Even so, the team is confident in its chances to pull this off.

“I’m about as optimistic as you can be when betting on crypto and the apocalypse at the same time,” pseudonymous co-founder and creative director Psychrome told Decrypt.

Yoyovania?! Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo Might Just Be Genius | TheXboxHub

Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo keyart
The Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo keyart

Describing itself as the first “Yoyovania” is Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, a metroidvania where your main weapon is the titular Cursed Yoyo.

But how does a yoyo become cursed, and, more importantly, is Pipistrello a game that should be on your radar?

To answer the first question then, all you need is four crime bosses, a wealthy auntie, some unethical technology and four mega-batteries to power it up. On Pippit’s annual visit to his aunt’s mansion to ask for some more money, it is quickly apparent that something is not right. Your auntie is hiding in her office but as you arrive, four crime bosses from all over the city have teamed up to take her new, and questionable, power generation machine and use it on herself. Only Pippit has the genius idea to throw his yoyo into the emitted beam at the last moment. Whilst this doesn’t outright kill his auntie, it does place her soul into his yoyo. At this point you could call it a Cursed Yoyo.

        And now you know.

        Gravity Pull

To be fair, there is a fair amount of backstory to Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo. Pippit’s family has a monopoly on the energy market, but their new tech promises complete domination. It would, however, raise more than a few eyebrows if the tech was to ever be used. But now, the crime bosses have used it, whilst also storing the energy in their mega-batteries. The only way to free your auntie is to gather these four batteries back up and use the machine once again.

Navigating the mansion is a good tutorial for you to get to grips with using the yoyo for pretty much everything. Out in the city though, and it is a different ball game entirely. There are obstacles and dangers around almost every corner and in every new screen. Enemies are one thing, but environmental dangers need to be taken into account too. Pippit cannot swim, and even shallow puddles can cause your already minimal HP to deplete. And then there are the cars flying up and down the roads; they can (and probably will) damage you, but they can also be used to your advantage to clear screens of multiple enemies…

Good thing then that you can upgrade Pippit, and in a way that can suit your playstyle. There are new skills and attacks to find throughout the world, but you may need to be vigilant to find these.

Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo screen 1Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo screen 1
        Get working that yoyo

        Bind

There are also Contracts, which are a unique way of applying an upgrade tree. It’s fairly simple in practice; money you collect can be spent on upgrading and unlocking various abilities and buffs in your base. However, and there is a massive caveat here, Contracts work slightly differently. Entering into a Contract to unlock, say, an extra attack power, means you have to pay off the Contract before unlocking your chosen perk. And there comes a penalty whilst you are paying it off, such as reduced health or no healing items to drop from enemies.

Contracts can only be paid off with money you accrue after entering into it. So, even if you have enough bank, that cannot be used to pay it off early. The upgrades are worth it ultimately, but it really does open up the possibility of completing the game without any upgrades as a viable solution. And, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see an achievement related to just that fact.

        Around the World

There is an undeniable charm to Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo. It’s in the artstyle, the back and forth between Pippit and his auntie, other character interactions and the design of the world as well. It is dense, detailed, and packed with extras and hidden bonuses to discover. One minute you could be delivering a burger for a hungry NPC, the next partaking in a jumping minigame for some extra coin.

For a game with a retro look and feel to it, the sense of discovery and exploration is more akin to an open-world epic.

That visual style reminds me of the Game Boy Advance, and the gameplay does too. Bright, colourful, wacky and a little bit devilish to boot; Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo feels like a cocktail of platformer, puzzler, metroidvania and RPG. But above all, it is fun. Coming from Pocket Trap, the Brazilian studio behind the likes of Dodgeball Academia and Ninjin: Clash of Carrots, that should go without saying.

The best bit though? You won’t have to wait long to play. Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo launches on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC on May 28th 2025.

This Yoyovania is one to watch

An Xbox Store page is up and ready for action for those looking to play on Xbox Series X|S, but you can also wishlist it on Steam too.

Huge thanks go out to PM-Studios and Pocket Trap for providing us access to Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo for preview purposes. We’ll follow with a full review around launch.

You’ll find the game launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

A Shocking Breakthrough from a Vote to Delist Project VOXEL

        0
A Shocking Breakthrough from a Vote to Delist Project VOXEL

Voxie (VOXEL), a tactical GameFi project on the Polygon blockchain, recently recorded an unprecedented rise of more than 700% in three days after being announced on the second Binance Vote to Delist batch.

Unexpected Top Gainers Today: Binance’s 2nd Vote to Delist Tokens

On this Sunday, the cryptocurrency market is experiencing an unexpected surge in activity primarily driven by tokens featured in the second Binance Vote to Delist, deviating from the typical influence of major projects. The absence of significant participation from ETF entities or large institutional funds has created an opportunity for smaller projects, particularly those facing potential delisting from the Binance exchange, to take center stage.

Specifically, VOXEL is leading the day’s upward momentum with a dramatic increase of 745%. Following this significant gain are NKN, exhibiting a substantial rise of 270%, and ALPACA, with a notable growth of 150%.

“Every Cloud has a Silver Lining”

While the observed growth in these projects may appear encouraging, it also serves as a significant warning for holders. It is crucial to recognize that inclusion in Binance’s Batch Vote to Delist typically signifies their prior categorization under Binance Monitoring Tags. These are projects that have largely become technologically outdated, exhibit limited community engagement, lack clear long-term strategic direction, or are led by individuals with questionable credibility.

Consequently, these projects carry exceptionally high risks and pose a potential threat to users’ investments.

The recent price surges experienced by projects within this batch, despite their impending delisting, do indicate that these assets can still exhibit upward momentum even after being placed on Binance’s ‘blacklist.’ However, such rallies are generally transient in nature.

Historically, projects facing delisting announcements from Binance often experience a price surge immediately before or after their removal from the exchange. This phenomenon is widely interpreted as a profit-taking opportunity before the projects gradually fade into obscurity. Notable examples include $BURGER and $REN.

It is crucial to exercise caution and avoid succumbing to FOMO regarding projects currently listed under such high-risk conditions. In scenarios like these, instead of buying in anticipation of a project’s revival, investors might consider strategically identifying the point at which the FOMO-driven momentum subsides to initiate short positions in perpetual contracts.
