After a week of surprise reveals, leaked release dates, and trailercore teasers, Nintendo gets the final word with its own Direct. The company has spent decades perfecting the art of ignoring whatever everyone else is doing and then walking away with the conversation anyway. With Summer Game Fest, PlayStation, and Xbox all having their moment in the spotlight, Nintendo’s June Direct feels like the closing ceremony.
