How to Get Wire Coat Hanger in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Wishblossom Ranch expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley offers several new crafting materials that are essential for progressing in the story as well as crafting numerous items. One of the new crafting materials is a Wire Coat Hanger. Players will have to get the Wire Coat Hanger for various expansion quests, along with the friendship quests for the new characters. In this guide, we will tell you how to get the Wire Coat Hanger in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Get Wire Coat Hanger in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Wire Coat Hanger is one of the new crafting materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley, exclusive to the Wishblossom Ranch expansion. Players can get Wire Coat Hanger material by fishing in the open water around the Glamour Gulch biome. It is the second biome of Wishblossom Mountains and holds multiple areas. To access the Glamour Gulch, the players must first unlock Maximus, a special rideable mount with a long jump ability. Moreover, the players must reach Friendship Level 3 with Maximus to make the jump to Glamour Gulch.

Once you have access to the Glamour Gulch biome, go to any fishing area and start fishing in the open water (no ripples). Complete the fishing mini-game of reeling in the catch to have a chance of catching the Wire Coat Hanger. However, there are some common fish in the waters of Glamour Gulch, so it might take you a few tries before you catch the Wire Coat Hanger. Moreover, make sure that your Royal Fishing Rod tool does not have any elixir/potion on it. Otherwise, you will catch fish often instead of the Wire Coat Hanger in the open water.

Upon reeling the Wire Coat Hanger out of the water, you will find it in your inventory.

Uses of a Wire Coat Hanger

Wire Coat Hanger is a crafting material exclusive to the Wishblossom Ranch expansion. Players will need it for completing various quests, like The De Vil Crash quest for Cruella. Moreover, it is essential for crafting various furniture items. Other than that, players can sell it for 20 Star Coins at Goofy’s Stalls in Wishblossom Ranch, Storybook Vale, Eternity Isle, and Dreamlight Valley.

Find a Pilsner in a World of Craft Beer as Dude, Where Is My Beer? Launches on Xbox! | TheXboxHub

Dude Where Is My Beer
Dude Where Is My Beer – on Xbox

The quest for the perfect pint has just become an existential point-and-click adventure as Dude, Where Is My Beer?, a hand-drawn satirical puzzle game, has launched on Xbox Series X|S.

This unique title from Arik Games is now available for £12.49.

Your mission is simple but profound: find a normal pilsner in the confusing world of conspicuously flavoured craft beer, using the nostalgic interface from the golden age of adventure games.

The Quest for the Elusive Pilsner

The story puts you in the shoes of a nameless, moustached, middle-aged protagonist who arrives at the bus station in Oslo, Norway, only to realise the city has been overrun by snobby hipsters.

The game is a loving tribute to the classic LucasArts games of the 90s, complete with a verb-based interface reminiscent of The Secret of Monkey Island.

The unique hand-drawn art style, described by critics as a graphic novel brought to life, perfectly sets the stage for this humorous journey.

Puzzles, Pints, and Paranoia

Dude, Where Is My Beer? delivers a classic point-and-click experience with a very modern, humorous twist.

Your quest for that missing pilsner will take you to various unique locations in the city of Oslo, where you’ll need to talk to West Coast IPA and American Black Ale-drinking hipsters. You will explore a sports bar, a microbrewery, a dive bar, and a rock bar, all while solving beer-related puzzles at different stages of drunkenness.

The most unique feature is the Beer-o-meter, which tracks your level of inebriation. Since the protagonist is socially awkward, you can only talk to people or perform basic tasks after a few drinks. This forces you to strategically keep the beer flowing to progress!

Your Bar Checklist

Here is a summary of what to expect from this humorous adventure:

Nostalgic interface from the golden age of 90s adventure games.

The Beer-o-meter: A unique system to track inebriation for solving puzzles.

Solve beer-related puzzles at various levels of drunkenness.

Explore four unique bar locations in the city of Oslo.

A humorous and witty narrative about finding a pilsner in a world of craft beer.

Beer not included.

The bar is open, and your tab is waiting. If you’re a fan of classic point-and-click puzzles and are looking for a highly original adventure with sharp satire, Dude, Where Is My Beer? is ready for your order on the Xbox Store right now.

Dude, Where Is My Beer? is available on Xbox Series X|S, having previously launched on PC (Steam)

It’s important to note that Dude, Where Is My Beer? on Xbox does not support Xbox Play Anywhere. It is not on Game Pass at launch either.

Just remember: Drink responsibly!

The Game Awards to feature new trailer for Mass Effect spiritual successor Exodus

The Game Awards to feature new trailer for Mass Effect spiritual successor Exodus

You can trust VideoGamer. Our team of gaming experts spend hours testing and reviewing the latest games, to ensure you’re reading the most comprehensive guide possible. Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games here

The Game Awards is a couple of weeks away, and everyone’s buzzing with excitement, wondering what titles will appear. More games will surely be announced in advance, but we at least know that Mass Effect spiritual successor, Exodus, will premiere a new trailer, hopefully announcing a release date.

Exodus was first revealed at The Game Awards 2023, with Matthew McConaughey, one of the biggest A-list celebrities, taking to the stage. Rather than a needless cameo, McConaughey’s presence was worthwhile as he is actually a part of the game. The Interstellar star returns to the sci-fi genre, voicing the character C.C. Orlev.

What’s most exciting about Exodus is that it comes from a team of former BioWare veterans, including Drew Karpyshyn, who is the narrative director and was the lead writer for Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Similar to Mass Effect, Exodus is a sci-fi RPG where you play as Jun Aslan, a salvager turned Traveler. It is third-person and, again, like Mass Effect, you will fight alongside companions with strengths and weaknesses.

We can’t wait to see more of Exodus at The Game Awards on December 11, and we’re praying a release date will be announced. As for the next Mass Effect game, don’t expect to see it anytime soon.

While Exodus is officially confirmed for Geoff Keighley’s event, there are other exciting rumors. Death Stranding 2 is rated for PC, sparking hopes of an announcement at TGA. There’s hope that the next Tomb Raider will appear with fresh rumors again claiming that it is an open-world adventure. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake is also reportedly coming out before March 31 next year.

There are also rumors that Half-Life 3 will be announced before the end of this year. However, it’s not expected at The Game Awards.

Battlefield 6 gets a free trial week starting today | TheSixthAxis

Already a major hit with record-breaking franchise sales, EA has kicked off a Battlefield 6 Free Trial. This is live now and running from today, 25th November, until 2nd December at 4 a.m. PT (12 p.m. UTC)

To play the Free Trial, you need to download the free-to-play Battlefield REDSEC, which will have access to more modes and maps granted for the coming week.

The Battlefield 6 Free Trial features a subset of the maps and modes in the full game, putting an emphasis on the Season 1 content, and obviously doesn’t include the single player campaign (but you can probably skip that). Free-to-play players will get to check out Siege of Cairo, Blackwell Fields, and the newly released Eastwood, and get to try them out in modes like Conquest, Breakthrough, Team Deathmatch, and Sabotage. Of course, you also already have the free-to-play Battlefield REDSEC battle royale mode.

Thanks to that, there’s already cross-pollination of unlocks and levels. Anything unlocked in REDSEC can be used in the Free Trial, and anything you unlock in the Free Trial is kept and carried through should you buy the full game.

The timing of this is pretty much perfect for EA to capitalise on the missteps made by their biggest rival, and as we head into the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the US. It’s a great time to try and convince more people to join this shooter and not the other.

Bodycam 2.0 Arrives With Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade, Ushering In A New Era Of Realism

Bodycam 2.0 Arrives With Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade, Ushering In A New Era Of Realism

Developed by Reissad Studio, the tactical multiplayer FPS Bodycam quickly became trendy after its Early Access debut in July 2024, thanks to its bold attempt to deliver hyper-realistic gameplay through a body-camera perspective powered by Unreal Engine 5.

While its concept alone was enough to spark (and continue to spark) curiosity across the shooter community, it seems that it is not enough for its developers because they have just rolled out a major update that pushes the game’s realism to an entirely new level.

Big Performance Gains, New Content, And Much More

Reissad Studio has announced the release of the first major update for Bodycam, marking the arrival of version 2.0 with a full migration to Unreal Engine 5.5, the arrival of a bunch of performance improvements, and even the addition of some fresh content.

Oh, and the best part: it is an immediate release, so it’s available now, as we speak!

By moving to Unreal Engine 5.5, Bodycam now taps into advanced rendering features such as Lumen for dynamic global illumination and Virtual Shadow Maps. Together, they promise faster performance, lighter system loads, and more stable GPU and CPU usage overall.

Tropical Extraction Shooter Showcases Unreal Engine 5.5 Performance Improvements

Madfinger Games has published a heatmap showing how much of a difference the new Unreal Engine 5 version makes.

“This patch, which launches the game on Unreal Engine 5.5, delivers the most substantial improvements to stability, performance, and gameplay since the start of Early Access,” reads the press release. “It reflects the studio’s commitment to building a competitive, polished, and authentic experience.”

On the content front of things, the patch introduces a new crossbow weapon and two additional environments, including the largest close-quarters map ever added to the game – and the most realistic one yet, since it was directly scanned from a real location, according to the devs.

The Zombie Mode also receives a significant overhaul, with smarter enemy behavior and better wave pacing. Here’s a full overview of what’s new:

New Maps: A massive CQB Power Gun map, and a new village map designed for the enhanced Zombie mode. The interior of the existing Wornhouse map has also been completely reworked.

New Weapon: The Crossbow enters the arsenal – a powerful, silent, and deadly weapon, which will first be featured prominently in the updated Zombie map.

Zombie Mode Overhaul: The Zombie mode receives a rework, featuring more immersive enemy behavior, refined wave pacing, and new enemy types.

Last but definitely not least, the update also strengthens several foundational systems to enhance realism even further. Some highlights are that the matchmaking flow has been reworked to eliminate “full lobby” lag spikes, audio clarity has been sharpened (meaning your footsteps matter more than ever, so beware), lighting reflections received tweaks, and the long-requested map voting system has finally arrived.

Bodycam now taps into advanced rendering features such as Lumen for dynamic global illumination and Virtual Shadow Maps […]

Crashes should also be far less frequent now. “This patch resolves the most frequent crash scenarios, including the major lobby crash that occurred when hosting or loading a game after a friend invitation,” the studio explains.

Overall, this is a substantial update that not only injects new content and improvements into Bodycam but also clearly reflects that the developers took community feedback seriously, including several long-requested features.

According to Reissad Studio, this is only the beginning. “This structural growth, supported by additional staffing, ensures we can consistently deliver high-quality, game-changing updates throughout the Early Access period,” says Luca Dassier, current director at Reissad Studio. “We are actively listening and committed to making Bodycam the ultimate visceral FPS experience.”

Valve’s selling the cheapest Steam Deck for even cheaper

The 256 GB console is 20% off right now

Valve has knocked 20% off the price of the base model of Steam Deck for Black Friday, making the best choice for an entry-level PC gaming handheld even more affordable.

The 256 GB LCD Steam Deck is reduced to $319.20 at the Steam store, down from its full list price of $399. That makes it less than half the price of the premium 1 TB OLED model, and also $130 less than a Nintendo Switch 2. The offer will be available until Dec. 1.

Admittedly, 256 GB isn’t a lot of storage, but if you use your Steam Deck to play mostly indie or older games it won’t cause you too many problems. You can always expand the storage with a microSD card, and there are plenty of deals available for those through Black Friday. Amazon is currently offering a 1 TB Samsung Pro Plus card for $79.99, a one-third saving on its $119.99 list price.

This is one of the best Black Friday deals on gaming hardware out there, alongside Sony’s big PS5 reduction. If you’ve been thinking about getting on the Steam Deck bandwagon, now might be the time.

Battlefield 6 kicks off its first free trial post the Black Ops 7 launch to twist that knife

Battlefield 6 kicks off its first free trial post the Black Ops 7 launch to twist that knife

Even if you don’t care about the rivalries between the top multiplayer first-person shooters series, it’s hard to ignore how much EA wanted to stick it to Call of Duty this year with Battlefield 6.

Activision saw that coming early enough that it ran multiple free weekends around major moments for EA’s game, including its launch, seemingly in an effort to capture some of those players and keep them away from BF6.

Manage cookie settings

Both Battlefield 6, and Black Ops 7 have now launched, and though exact sales figures may never be detrmined (though EA did announce 7 million sold in the first week), it’s very clear at this point from every metric we can see that BF6 came out on top this year.

The recent Black Ops 7 launch clearly hasn’t made many people happy, so just like Activision made Black Ops 6 free to play at BF6’s launch, EA has now done the same with its own game. The Battlefield 6 free trial, which was announced last week, is just an hour away at the time of this writing.

This is the first trial for the core game, and it arrives some six weeks after Battlefield 6 officialy launched, and four weeks following the release of the free-to-play Battlefield Redsec, which has battle royale and other components.

Watch on YouTube

Beyond all the drama surrounding the two rival shooter franchises, the Battlefield 6 trial is itself pretty straightfoward, and is notably nowhere near as genrous as some of the Call of Duty ones we’ve seen recently.

The trial goes live today at 4am PT, 7am ET, 12pm GMT across all platforms, and will be available for a week; ending Tuesday, December 2. It includes three core maps: Siege of Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields.

Players will have access to four game modes, played on different versions of the same maps. Conquest, Breakthrough, Sabotage, and Team Deathmatch will all be available to choose from, and there don’t appear to be any level or XP limits in the trial.

Unfortunatley, just as the free trial was about to go live, the game got hit with a major matchmaking outage that took down all matchmaking in the core game, leaving Redsec unaffected.

Hopefully EA can resolve this issue before the trial officially kicks off.

The 5 Best Gaming Laptop Deals In Amazon’s Black Friday 2025 Sale

Several early Black Friday deals are live, and if you’re looking to upgrade to a gaming laptop, Amazon is offering steep discounts on models from top brands like Asus, MSI, and Acer. While there are dozens of great models listed, we’ve gone ahead and selected five of the best gaming laptop deals in Amazon’s sale in case you’re looking for recommendations on where to start.

Some of the standout deals include the Asus ROG Strix G16 laptops. Amazon has two different configurations on sale, starting at $1,200 (was $1,500). The second model is on sale for and $1,424 (was $1,900). It has a Nebula Display with a 240Hz refresh rate. Both laptops are designed to make potential RAM and SSD upgrades simple with their easy-access shells.

The MSI Katana can handle a wide variety of games using its Intel Core i9 processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, and 32GB of RAM. On sale for $1,370 (was $1,680), this is one of the powerhouse laptops on sale, and it features a rebuilt thermal system to help keep the hardware cooled during intense gaming sessions.

If you’re on a budget, you can check out two well-priced gaming laptops below. The Acer Nitro V has been discounted from $750 to $580, and it’s a capable 15.6-inch laptop equipped with an Intel Core i5-13420H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU. Users have reported that it can handle live-service games like Fortnite and Genshin Impact easily, but consider upgrading its RAM, since the 8GB it comes with is a bit low for gaming purposes.

Lastly, while it’s a little bit more expensive, the Alienware Aurora laptop is another machine worth considering. This has been discounted to $900 (was $1,250) and it’s equipped with a 16-inch display, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. This allows it to run a wide variety of games and it’s designed for everyday use.

You can also find several more early Black Friday deals on gaming laptops at Amazon. Most of these come with a 1TB SSD and a 40- or 50-series Nvidia laptop GPU, allowing them to offer high performance and energy efficiency across games and apps.

While handheld gaming PCs like the Steam Deck and Lenovo Legion Go have surged in popularity recently, gaming laptops are still an excellent choice for portable gaming, offering larger screens and the ability to double as multimedia hubs or workhorse machines–and these deals are an excellent excuse to upgrade your setup.
