Black Ops 6 Zombies Fans Want a Major Change to The Tomb Easter Egg

Black Ops 6 Zombies Fans Want a Major Change to The Tomb Easter Egg

The Tomb map arrived in Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2 and fans believe that it still needs one major change in order to be great.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is off to a fantastic start, at least where its undead survival mode is concerned. With two high-quality maps available at launch, and two more already arriving as seasonal content, Zombies fans have plenty to enjoy.

But there’s one thing about the game’s Season 2 offering that players are struggling to enjoy.

The Tomb Easter Egg Purple Orb Change

As part of The Tomb’s Easter Egg quest, Black Ops 6 Zombies players must follow these steps to upgrade the Staff of Ice.

If you want to upgrade the Wonder Weapon into Ull’s Arrow, you must first use the Staff of Ice to shoot three purple crystals inside The Tomb.

Black Ops 6 Zombies The Tomb Floating Rock

Next, you’ll head into the Dark Aether and shoot three floating rocks with symbols on them, then shoot those same symbols on the closed Door to Nowhere.

But when you head through the newly-opened portal, you’ll be tasked with escorting a purple orb – and this step is where the issues lie.

To successfully complete the purple orb escort mission, ALL players must accompany the orb on its route. And if you’re playing with random online players, rather than friends, this can prove tricky.

If all players do not follow the orb, it will forcibly reset and must be attempted again the following round.

We’ve seen many complaints from Zombies fans who want this restriction to be removed, as there’s no way to communicate this fact with matchmade players who have their voice comms and pings disabled.

“It’s not just players not having all those things enabled,” Reddit user Fine_Neighborhood315 writes. “Sometimes you have just haters that are mad they didn’t get a staff and won’t help. Or you get some people that automatically assume you’re doing the [Easter Egg] and if they don’t want to do it they will just not help”

Up until this step, the rest of The Tomb’s Easter Egg quest steps can be performed Solo, so it doesn’t make much sense why this one requires the attention of the whole team.

After all, you only get a single Ull’s Arrow Wonder Weapon for completing it!

Will Treyarch Change the Step?

Some users rightfully point out that doing Easter Egg quests isn’t the ‘point’ of the Zombies mode, it’s just one way to play.

But seeing as this is the only way to upgrade the Wonder Weapon on The Tomb, it’s frustrating to be stuck with the Staff of Ice’s base form, whether you’re looking to take on the final boss or not!

Treyarch has been excellent so far when it comes to listening to player feedback and making changes based on what it hears. The developer recently brought back a popular Zombies camo farming strategy, after it was removed in a prior update.

And it’s not just the purple orb that could use some tweaks – fans also want a big change to the Black Ops 6 Zombies Mystery Box!

A New Wireless Dreamcast Controller Is Available Now, Also Works On Switch And PC

A New Wireless Dreamcast Controller Is Available Now, Also Works On Switch And PC

The original Dreamcast controller was a revolutionary device when the console launched in the late ’90s, but in 2025, it might feel dated for retro gaming fans. Luckily, the Retro Fighters D6 wireless controller just launched, which aims to give Dreamcast fans a more modernized gamepad. It’s also compatible with the Dreamcast, Nintendo Switch, and PC, making it a great device for playing on original hardware or playing ports of Dreamcast games, such as the upcoming inclusions of Power Stone 1 and 2 in the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 launching later this year.

If you’re looking for other modern-style gamepads that are great for playing older video games, the upcoming 8Bitdo 64 Bluetooth controller is worth checking out. The wireless controller is geared toward people who are planning to pick up the new Nintendo 64 FPGA console, the Analogue 3D, but it will also be compatible with PC, Switch, and Android devices. The controller features a similar layout as the original N64 controller but with several improvements, including anti-drift Hall Effect sticks, a more modern ergonomic design, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, and support for 8BitDo’s desktop app that lets you customize button layouts and more.

The 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth controller is scheduled to launch for $40 on June 30 and will be available in black and white models. However, it’s likely that the launch date could change, considering the Analogue 3D console was recently delayed. Nevertheless, you can preorder both models at Amazon.

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s latest patch ensures Goro Majima’s golden balls are no longer unobtainable

Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s latest patch ensures Goro Majima’s golden balls are no longer unobtainable

Ok, so, as you might be aware, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii contains some golden balls, and they can belong to Goro Majima. Well, provided he goes around and collects all seven of them as part of a sub-story.

Yep, sorry folks who might have taken the headline a different way – these are actual balls made of gold you’re tasked with gathering from various locations around the various places the Goromaru makes port, a bit like you could in Like A Dragon: Gaiden. There’s been a bug that’s made it impossible for some folks to obtain them all, but it’s been fixed. Please stop throwing rotten vegetables and threatening to set Kiryu on me.

Manage cookie settings

This bug fix comes as part of the game’s latest update, patch 1.12, which RGG has released today – March 7. “Fixed an issue where the golden ball could not be obtained”, reads the full note for that particular tweak.

How enigmatic, RGG. Which ball was the issue? What caused it to become unobtainable? Did it maybe get nicked by one of the game’s many booty-hungry pirates who aren’t former Tojo Clan bigwigs? We’ll seemingly never know. The balls are back, to paraphrase what Thin Lizzy once sang, them wild-eyed balls that had been away. And that’s all that matters.

https://x.com/RGGStudio/article/1897827703660941769

Anyway, the patch’s other fixes across all platforms are as follows:

Fixed an issue where manual saving was not possible.

Fixed an issue where loading a save data on a ship under certain conditions would cause the player to fall into the sea and be unable to return. (That one sounds fun)

Fixed an issue where arcade game rankings were not being saved.

Corrected various typographical errors and improved localization issues.

Various other bug fixes to improve stability and quality.

There are also a couple of PC-specific changes which’ve updated to the game to Intel XeSS 2.0.1 and “fixed a rare crash issue that occurred during resource loading”. Also, if you’re experiencing random driver crashes on certain NVIDIA GPUs, RGG reccomends you go into the settings and cap your FPS at 60.

If you’ve yet to try Pirate Yakuza, make sure to check out my review of it, which only contains some gentle worry about whether not finding a middle-aged Japanese guy showering funny means I might have lost my humourous edge.

Full List of Call of Duty 2025 Weapons Leaks Early

Full List of Call of Duty 2025 Weapons Leaks Early

Call of Duty 2025 is still months away, but we might already have its full roster of weapons thanks to a new leak!

It’s already that time of year when COD players begin to look to the future, and speculate about what Activision has in store for us next.

For the first time in a while, it appears that the Call of Duty community is relatively happy with the state of the current game, and not desperately looking to the future.

But whether we’re ready for it or not, Black Ops 6’s successor is dropping in a few more months, and we could already have its full weapon list.

COD 2025 Weapon List

A new leak by reliable Call of Duty insider realityuk_ has revealed a complete list of weapons that the leaker believes are coming to this year’s premium release.

The weapon list, which is currently little more than a list of codenames, was reportedly found inside Warzone Mobile, Activision’s mobile port of its battle royale title.

Black Ops 6 Warzone

While this isn’t 100% confirmed, it’s worth noting that the mobile game files have previously contained accurate leaks about upcoming COD titles.

We’d take this leak with a pinch of salt for now, as there’s still plenty of time for Treyarch to change aspects of its upcoming title, which is believed to be a follow-up to Black Ops 2.

Of course, this is just a simple list of codes for now, and we expect that the guns will be called very different names upon Call of Duty 2025’s release.

However, it does give us an idea as to how large and varied the new Black Ops title’s weapon roster will be. If Warzone receives a new COD 2025 integration, we can expect around 30 new guns to drop inside the battle royale title – which could cause chaos in Verdansk once again.

Another notable list entry is the ZTronRaygun, which seems to indicate that Zombies will continue to receive content in Treyarch’s new title.

We’re sure many fans will happy to hear it, seeing as Black Ops 6 Zombies is seen by many as a return to form for the undead survival mode. But we’ve still got more than a few Zombies maps on the way before COD 2025 arrives!

Ray Gun Mark II Wonder Weapon Leaks For Black Ops 6 Zombies

Ray Gun Mark II Wonder Weapon Leaks For Black Ops 6 Zombies

It appears that the Ray Gun Mark II will be making its return in Black Ops 6 Zombies, with a significant change this time around!

The Ray Gun is the weapon that’s most synonymous with Call of Duty Zombies. After all the original Wonder Weapon made its debut back in World at War, and has resurfaced in every COD Zombies experience to date.

But new Zombies fans might not be so familiar with the Ray Gun Mark II, a new variation of the alien pistol that boasts even more power.

Now, a new leak states that we could be seeing the Mark 2 arrive in Black Ops 6 Zombies before long!

Ray Gun Mark II Leak – Black Ops 6 Zombies

A new leak by reliable leaker realityuk_ reveals that the Ray Gun Mark II appears to be coming to Black Ops 6 Zombies.

The dataminer posted about the Mark 2’s return on social media site X, where they revealed that the Ray Gun upgrade will have three different variants.

If the Ray Gun is set to be the primary Wonder Weapon inside an upcoming Black Ops 6 Zombies map, it sounds as though we’ll be able to infuse it with different elements, similar to the Citadelle des Morts Bastard Swords.

Prior to the reveal of Black Ops 6’s first post-launch Zombies experience, dataminers found similar references to ‘variants’ of the sword Wonder Weapons in the game’s files.

This time around the leaker actually found the references to the Ray Gun Mark II inside the Warzone Mobile game files.

Ray Gun Mark 2

While this sounds strange in concept, Activision’s attempt at a shared progression system across mobile, PC, and console has previously led to Warzone Mobile’s files containing information about other titles.

In fact, some of the first leaks for Black Ops 6 actually appeared thanks to the mobile battle royale port!

What Is the Ray Gun Mark 2?

The Ray Gun Mark II is the successor to the original Wonder Weapon, which first appeared in Black Ops 2.

Unlike the original Ray Gun, the Mark 2 fires a three-round burst with low splash damage. However, the projectiles fired will penetrate through enemies, making it easy to deal with crowds of undead.

In addition, the Ray Gun Mark II has an enormous headshot multiplier and was previously able to one-burst kill enemies until almost Round 60.

Ray Gun Mark II in Black Ops 3Ray Gun Mark II in Black Ops 3

One more interesting thing to note is that players couldn’t previously carry both the Ray Gun and Ray Gun Mark II at the same time. If the Mark 2 is indeed returning in Black Ops 6 (and it wouldn’t be the first Black Ops 2 Wonder Weapon to make a comeback), we’ll have to see if things have changed.

Fans were already upset about the next Black Ops 6 Zombies map’s Wonder Weapon, but it’s possible that we’ll be getting the Mark II as a bonus offering.

We’re sure a lot of classic Zombies fans will be happy to see the weapon resurface, even if it means that Treyarch is once again relying on recycling older content.

After 8 Years, Styx is Back in Styx: Blades of Greed, Out This Year

After 8 Years, Styx is Back in Styx: Blades of Greed, Out This Year

Eight years since his last adventure Styx the goblin is sneaking back to star in his fourth game.

The new game, titled Blades of Greed, was announced at Nacon Connect and is going to release on PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC sometime in Fall of this year.

“Developed once again by Cyanide Studio, Styx: Blades of Greed is a blend of stealth, action and strategy set in a vertically expansive medieval fantasy world,” says the press release. “Staying true to its winning formula, the game offers open-ended environments, a vast range of powers and tools, and multiple approaches to completing objectives. The mission? Steal Quartz, a rare and magical resource, while eliminating enemies with skill and precision.”

The trailer quickly captures the slightly budget, corny vibe of the last two games. It also shows off Styx utilising some crazy powers that seem to stem from the Quartz crystal he’s holding, including mind-control and time manipulation. The screenshots released also show Styx using a glider to get around.

While the Styx games have never been critical darlings, they’ve gained a bit of a following for being stealth-focused games, a genre that doesn’t get a lot of love these days. I had a pretty good time with them, and I’m eager to see what Cyanide do with the series after so long.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Is Making A Big Change To How THPS4 Works

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Is Making A Big Change To How THPS4 Works

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was officially announced earlier this week and while it looks to be a great remake of some popular PS2-era skateboarding games, one big change involving timed challenges in THPS4 might be a dealbreaker for some players.

After some teases and rumors, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was announced on March 4. The game, like 2020’s THPS 1+2, is a full remake of two past games from the Tony Hawk franchise, specifically Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4. The new remake is being developed by Iron Galaxy and is set to launch in July. And while it will feature the old maps, songs, skaters, and tricks fans remember from the classic games, there will be at least one big change involving THPS 4’s career mode.

Kotaku was able to confirm with Activision that THPS 3+4 will not include the original career mode seen in the OG version of THPS4 on the PS2. Instead, like in the first three games, each THPS4 level will feature a list of challenges to complete in a 2-minute run.

This isn’t how it worked in the original THPS4. That game let players skate around levels freely and find challenges to complete. While many of these challenges did have timers, between those challenges players were free to skate around, explore, and collect money.

When news of this first broke on the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater subreddit, there was a lot of disappointment from fans of THPS4. They had hoped that the more freeform career mode—which later evolved into the open world of Tony Hawk’s Underground—would be recreated for the new remake. That’s not the case.

There will still be a free skate option in THPS4 levels, letting you freely skate around and explore, but you won’t able to complete level challenges in that mode. For some players this is a dealbreaker, with some complaints stating that this game is really just a remake of THPS3 with levels from THPS4 added in as a bonus.

Personally, as someone who always found THPS4 to be the oddball of the classic games—not as good as THPS3 and not as fresh as THUG—I’m not too upset about these changes. But I can understand that for fans of THPS4, the changes to career mode are a big bummer.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 launches July 11 on Xbox, Game Pass, PlayStation, Switch, and PC.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Unlock Relaxing Capybara Companion

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s new update, Tales of Agrabah, brings a ton of new cosmetics, items, decorative items, quests, and characters. The update also includes a new Star path, a seasonal pass through which players can earn several rewards. One of the most unique rewards in the new The Oasis Retreat Star Path is a Relaxing Capybara Companion. In this guide, we will tell you how to unlock Relaxing Capybara Companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Unlock Relaxing Capybara Companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Relaxing Capybara Companion is one of the redeemable rewards in the The Oasis Retreat Star Path. Meaning, it can only be obtained from progressing in the new Star Path. The Oasis Retreat Star Path contains several rewards divided among 7 tiers. You can redeem the rewards using the Event Currency, which is the Tranquil Tokens. Fortunately, the very first tier of the Star Path includes the Relaxing Capybara Companion. You can redeem it for 50 Tranquil Tokens.

You can earn the Tranquil Tokens by completing the daily duties of the Star Path. There are 3 daily duties that players can complete per day with the Regular Star Path, and completing each duty will reward players with 5 tokens. However, the players who have the Premium Star Path will have access to 6 daily duties allowing them to farm the tokens quickly.

Upon earning the event currency of the Star Path, go into the Star Path menu and select the ‘Rewards’ tab to redeem the Relaxing Capybara Companion. Since Relaxing Capybara is a capybara, players will be able to feed it its favorite food, which is Cabbage.

Now, keep in mind that like many exclusive previous companions who were a part of the Star Paths, Relaxing Capybara is also time-limited and players can redeem it until the Star Path’s ending time, which is April 16, 2025.
