Full InZoi Donuts List And What They Do

While InZoi does many things that The Sims does not, some aspects of Krafton’s new Early Access life sim are very similar to features we’ve seen The Sims 4. One of these is InZoi’s Ambitions system, which is essentially identical to The Sims’ Aspirations. You choose an ambition, like becoming an expert artist, and then you’ll have to complete a series of related tasks that award a currency that will allow you to buy upgrades. But while these systems look the same, in execution they actually function very differently. Here’s what to know about InZoi Donuts and hoe to get more of them.

InZoi donuts explained

If you’ve spent time with The Sims 4 lately, InZoi’s Ambitions will be very familiar. When you’re creating your Zois, you pick an Ambition for each of them, and each Ambition includes three waves of tasks. If you pick the Pro Musician Ambition, you’ll start by buying an instrument and playing it three times; wave two requires you to play drums ten times, and play any instrument while feeling sentimental; and wave three requires you to max out your instrument skill (all instruments fall under this one skill) and play guitar 20 times.

Each wave of tasks that you complete will award you with NyanCoins, with each successive wave of tasks giving more than the previous wave. And then you’ll spend those NyanCoins on donuts, which you can purchase from the “Meow Coins” menu on your Zoi card. But these aren’t just any donuts–these donuts come with a timed buff.

There are a bunch of different donuts with many different buffs. There’s one that allows you to know everything about anyone you meet within the next hour. There are donuts that will prevent one of your needs from depleting for an entire day. And there are donuts that will boost your skill gains for a day as well. Unlike the aspiration rewards in The Sims, however, all of the boosts you will get from the donuts are temporary, so there’s no way to, for example, permanently free yourself from the need to sleep like some dystopian military experiment.

Buying donuts can make your Zoi’s life a lot easier.

The most useful donuts may be the ones that imbue you with an emotion–it’s much more difficult to complete your ambitions without them. For example, the music ambition requires you to play music while sentimental, and there’s a donut that will make you sentimental for six hours. Without the donut, you might simply have to wait until you get the emotion you need naturally, and that might never happen when you actually need it. Fortunately, the emotion donuts are the cheapest available, at only 30 NyanCoins each.

Ambitions are not the only way to get NyanCoins, though they are by far the fastest method because they reward quite a lot if you actually finish all three stages of an Ambition. But you can also earn small amounts through more mundane methods, by completing your Zoi’s wants (these are random impulses like “I want to catch a fish and eat it”), and by completing your work objectives at your job.

InZoi donut list

While you can pull up the list of donuts you can buy at any time, the tooltips on them frequently leave out key details, like how long the donut’s effects will last, or even that they’re temporary at all. Fortunately for you, you’re in the right place to find out more, because below you’ll find the full list of donuts as well as more detailed descriptions of what they do than you’ll get from InZoi itself before you buy one, along with the price you’ll pay in NyanCoins for them. If the effect is timed, the timer begins the instant you buy the donut.

Dominate The Battlefield As Yasuke With These Early Game Skills In Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Dominate The Battlefield As Yasuke With These Early Game Skills In Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Image: Ubisoft

The prologue offers a glimpse of what it’s like to play the powerhouse that is Yasuke, and then the early game revolves around Naoe. It’s a taste, a teaser of what’s to come, what with his ability to smash through doors and gates, lift enemies off the ground, and slam opponents like paper dolls. But once you unlock more of Yasuke’s best early game skills in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll find you don’t want to return to Naoe. It’s too much fun playing the giant yokai of a man!

As his build may suggest, Yasuke is the complete opposite of Naoe. Where she’s nimble and stealthy, the brazen samurai relies on brute force and violence to accomplish his goals. You’ll become an unstoppable charging bull in a China shop with the right abilities.

The Eightfold Path Switch Game Review

The Eightfold Path Switch Game Review

The Eightfold Path is a pretty important concept in Buddhism. There is a lot more to it, but essentially life is suffering, and to escape suffering, you need to walk The Eightfold Path. The noble truth that life is suffering can apply to the game that bears its name. And the game, in fact, starts with that truth:

The elephant will turn into a skeleton if you come back later.

In the game the Eightfold Path, you play a monk, and your goal appears to be to meditate at eight statues to go through the path. I’m not sure though, because the game is heavy on the metaphysics, not telling you what exactly you’re supposed to be doing. You walk around and stand still to meditate. You can sprint with the X button for a few seconds until you get tired and need to wait until the sweat on your face disappears(a nice graphical touch). At times you’ll need to avoid enemies, which is often easier said than done, which this video will demonstrate:

Does that look fun? Does the Eightfold Path look interesting? You can’t die, you just go back to a checkpoint elsewhere. There are stone tablets you can read, that will kinda reveal stuff, but I’m not really sure what in some instances as they’re metaphysical sayings.

The blurb to the Eightfold Path says this:

To reach the ultimate state of pure bliss, you must navigate through the labyrinth of desires and suffering that obscures true harmony.

Nature, a steadfast companion on your journey, will guide you. Yet, the true challenge lies in confronting the fears and inner demons that dwell within you.

I’ll be honest, the Eightfold Path has an audience, and I’m not just talking about Buddhists. People might enjoy this “exploration adventure.” The blurb above obscures the fact you’ll be walking around avoiding ghosts and tigers, maybe even solve puzzles. Some people may like this. I did not. But I’m not about to completely trash the game. The Eightfold Path wasn’t made for me, and that’s perfectly fine. The games gets a Your Mileage May Vary with a six back-end score.

Overall: The Eightfold Path is a game about Buddhism, but that isn’t the problem. It’s the often unclear game play that’s the problem.

Verdict: Your Mileage May Vary

Immortal Boy looks wild blending a little Undertale and OMORI together

Immortal Boy looks wild blending a little Undertale and OMORI together

IcarusDev is currently making Immortal Boy a 2.5D turn-based RPG of battles, puzzles and exploration – amid secrets and betrayal. It’s a little of Undertale meets OMORI.

There’s a whole lot of adventuring exploration here with lots of side missions where you engage with a “character-rich story with fleshed-out character arcs” and of course, plenty of mini-games too. Wrapped up in a slick chiptune soundtrack, and a little “Windows 98 Webcore” nostalgia thrown in too for some of the UI it certainly looks like an experience.

Check out the trailer:

The Steam page explains a little more noting that the combat in it features a 4-member party system, with special ability that come at the cost of another character’s health, mixed in with 3D bullet-hell styled platforming for the enemy turns. I’ve not really seen many that look like this.

From the Steam page:

A group of 4 friends race against Tree monsters, Food creatures, Whacky snowmen, Sci-Fi computers, Gambling kings and who-knows-what to obtain a magical object that can grant anyone their Deepest Desire…

However, something tells you a certain friend isn’t who they seem…

Spanning 9 Chapters (Kinda), Immortal Boy delves into the perspective of a Boy trapped in a psychological prison created by his own self-esteem and self-perception.

Delve into Themes of:

Insecurity
Emotional Manipulation
Emotional Attachment
Loneliness
Relationships
Characters being stupid for no reason in particular

Speaking to the developer over email, they confirmed it will have Native Linux support.

Ubisoft Is Creating A New Subsidiary Company In Charge of Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six And Far Cry

Ubisoft Is Creating A New Subsidiary Company In Charge of Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six And Far Cry

After years of taking a beating and even speculation as to whether Ubisoft could collapse, the embattled French publisher is creating a new spin-off company dedicated to its three biggest IP: Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six and Far Cry.

There had been reports prior from Bloomberg that Ubisoft was considering a move like this. People speculated that it would be a way for the Guillemot family to retain control of their biggest IP should Ubisoft fold, or that it could be the first step in Ubisoft selling off some of its IP.

Now, though, we know for sure that Ubisoft is indeed creating a new company. Not only that, but Ubisoft investor Tencent will also play a part in this new venture to the tune of a  €1.16bn stake, equating to roughly 25%.

According to Ubisoft, they are valuing the spin-off company at €4bn, which is considerably more than Ubisoft’s current market valuation of €1.7.

“Today Ubisoft is opening a new chapter in its history,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot wrote. “As we accelerate the company’s transformation, this is a foundational step in changing Ubisoft’s operating model that will enable us to be both agile and ambitious. We are focused on building strong game ecosystems designed to become evergreen, growing high-performing brands and creating new IPs powered by cutting-edge and emerging technologies.”

Martin Lau, President of Tencent, said “We are excited to extend our longstanding partnership with Ubisoft through this investment, which reflects our continued confidence in Ubisoft’s creative vision andexceptional talent to drive sustained success in the industry. We see the immense potential for these franchises to evolve into long-term evergreen game platforms and create engaging new experiences forgamers.”

As for Ubisoft itself, it will focus on “nurturing the development of iconic franchises including Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and The Division, accelerating the growth of top performing titles and leveraging disruptive technologies on selected new IPs, while continuing to deliver state-of-the-art production game engines and online services.”

That leaves a lot of IP that Ubisoft does not specifically mention , potentially lending credence to the idea that Ubisoft will seek to sell off some of its IP.

Ubisoft’s press release also details the following provisions relating to Tencent’s involvement:

“A 5-year lock-up undertaking on New subsidiary shares held by Tencent, unless Ubisoftno longer owns a majority of New subsidiary voting rights and share capital– Ubisoft may not cease to hold a majority of New subsidiary voting rights and share capitalfor a 2-year period– Customary share transfer provisions, including, a right of first refusal to the benefit of Ubisoft, a right of first offer to the benefit of Tencent, tag-along right to the benefit ofTencent, and drag-along right to the benefit of Ubisoft (subject to certain conditions)– Call option to the benefit of Ubisoft and put option to the benefit of Tencent in the event of certain change of control of Ubisoft approved by its Board of Directors – [Exercise price will be the higher of (i) the fair market value of New subsidiary shares and (ii) the same EBIT multiple as that in the change of control transaction of Ubisoft; it beingspecified that for the call option there will be a specific minimum price protection during the first 4 years following closing of the transaction with Tencent.

Korean Drone Flying Tour Switch Review

Korean Drone Flying Tour Switch Review

There are currently eight Korean Drone Flying Tour games available for Switch, with seven more released weekly for the next two months. They used to be released sparingly, now they’re weekly:

I bought Korean Drone Flying Tour Muui-Do. The game sucks. I cannot label it anything as else but Garbage. The game play is the gaming equivalent of adjusting the playing speed of a video. They even say it in the blurb:

There is no up, down, left or right direction control, only the control to increase or decrease the drone speed. You can also change the drone’s flight mode from Normal, Sport, and Eco to any of the 3.

A Korean Drone Flying Tour game is basically adjusting the speed of the video to the required speed by pressing up or down. You need to get or exceed a target time to finish the video while not draining your battery. You get gold coins which you can buy powerups, new courses and new modes. That’s about it. These games are ultra-lame and the developers should feel bad for subjecting people to them. Who is this for? I guess Koreans and nobody else. I take that back, I bet Koreans would be bored too. They’re not fun. They’re not interesting. You could have a flying drone tour of the Grand Canyon and I’d still be bored out of my mind.

14Dimension thought they could get away with subjecting the eShop to this garbage. This is why I exist, to draw attention to this crap. Korean Drone Flying Tour gets a Garbage Verdict with a two back-end score. That’s for all the games, cause they’re all identical, just different areas. The drone footage is pretty, but that’s not enough to be worth it. Finally, In physical therapy, I had an exercise bike that showed a road tour and you could adjust the speed with how fast you pedaled. I loved it and pedaled as fast as I could. You’ll get nothing out of these games except curing your insomnia.

Overall: Korean Drone Flying Tour is a series of garbage titles that are the gaming equivalent to adjusting the playback speed of a video. Worthless.

Verdict: Garbage

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have reiterated their plans to continue supporting Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 for “years to come”.

Following the announcement of the “bigger and better” Space Marine 3, the studios confirmed the team’s dedication to the second game, promising that “no one is abandoning the game” because of the new title.

Space Marine 2 will be supported for years

In the latest patch notes for Space Marine 2’s upcoming 7.0 update, Saber “set the record straight” with fans.

“Space Marine 3 does not mean the end of Space Marine 2’s development. Far from it,” the studio confirmed. “No teams are shifting over, no one is abandoning the game, and our plans to bring more awesome content to Space Marine 2 remain.”

Saber teased that the team is working on “much more content and surprises for the months to come, such as a new class, more operations, melee weapons, and more”. The studio even jokes that data miners haven’t uncovered all of their secrets just yet so we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled.

“This announcement simply marks the genesis of a new project, years away from release,” the team said. “We’ve made a decision and have just started the process.”

With Saber aiming to give the third game a considerable jump in scale, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 will take a long time to create. Combined with continued development of Space Marine 2 Operations, new enemies, PvP and more, as well as a unique Horde Mode, there’s tonnes of goodies coming.

Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja conversion is in the works via JOTD for the Amiga [Alpha 3 update]

An IndieRetroNews reader, has recently informed us in our comments feed, that JOTD is still working on a Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja Arcade conversion for the Commodore Amiga (AGA). Although it’s still in a very early stage of development, and the original Amiga version of the game was regarded as terrible with one such Lemon Amiga saying “This is absolute dreck with horrible graphics, terrible backgrounds, how did this get released in this state?” Rest assured if JOTD finishes this conversion, it’s sure to be another hit in the Amiga scene.

If you’ve been waiting for more updates on this upcoming Arcade to Amiga development. Then we have just found out, that the creator has not only updated the EAB thread with a new work in progress video ( Shown above ), but he was also quoted as saying “alpha 3 in the zone. Now all levels are playable without trashed gfx including levels 6 and 7. Helicopter boss now is displayed. Lockup on level completed fixed. Still a lot of optimizations & fixes to apply but this is great.”

Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja was NOT created using the Scorpion EngineOnce the game has progressed far enough I’ll be doing new articles but for now, this article will be updated with the latest Alpha developments.
