Top NFT Gaming Trends to Watch in 2025

In just a few years digital collectibles have gone from niche to mainstream, capturing the attention of gamers, investors and tech enthusiasts. Many have seen how NFTs have upended traditional gaming models, introducing new ways to earn, build communities and even co-create virtual worlds. As we head into 2025 several big trends will shape what’s being called the next era of NFT gaming. The following will look at what the industry will look like in 2025, focusing on sustainable play-to-earn (P2E) models, cross chain adoption, AI, brand partnerships, expanding metaverses, regulatory shifts and on-chain identities.

Looking Ahead to NFT Gaming in 2025

Despite the obstacles, the NFT gaming landscape has come a long way since 2021. Early adopters remember a time when gas fees were scary and many play-to-earn games had no mechanism to keep players engaged. Now the industry is in a phase with better blockchain infrastructure, more institutional involvement and easier on-ramps for newbies. By 2025, NFT gaming will reach new heights, intersecting digital assets, communities, and gameplay.

Sustainable Play-to-Earn (P2E) Economies

Tokens and Value

Early play-to-earn games had a unique problem: tokens earned in-game could be super volatile, making it hard to have a stable or rewarding economy. Many games rewarded players handsomely at the beginning but struggled to prevent the inflation of their in-game currencies. As we head into 2025 developers have been experimenting with tokenomics to balance supply and demand. By limiting token issuance, introducing staking and rewarding players who hold assets long term, newer P2E models will combat the “gold rush” inflation that plagued the space.

Multiple Rewards

Beyond pure token rewards game studios are starting to diversify. Some games offer additional perks such as early access to special events, exclusive digital collectibles or even real-world merchandise for top performers. From a single token reward system to multiple asset types keeps players more engaged and helps to have healthier in-game markets.

Deeper Player Involvement

Sustainable economies need sustained user interest. Top titles are moving beyond simple daily missions and quests by hosting seasonal events, global tournaments and community driven storylines. Such features promote long term retention and player centric worlds. Those who follow NFT gaming 2025 expect next level engagement – especially through social and competitive elements – to be key to a game’s success.

Cross-Chain and Layer-2 Adoption

Current Friction

During the 2021-2023 boom many games ran into issues with high transaction fees and slow network speeds – especially on Ethereum. Alternative blockchains and sidechains have made progress but many gamers still find bridging assets between ecosystems painful. This friction can be a barrier to entry for casual players who want a seamless experience.

The Rise of Bridges

By 2025 cross-chain bridges will be the backbone of NFT gaming. As these bridges mature players will be able to move their digital collectibles or tokens between chains without high fees or complicated steps. A gamer holding an NFT on Polygon can use it in a game on Ethereum without any technical hassle.

Developers and Players

Game studios can now adopt a multi-chain approach and offer wider marketplaces for in-game assets. Players get lower fees, smoother asset transfers and the fun of discovering new games on different networks. Cross-chain and layer-2 will open up the NFT gaming 2025 audience to a broader blockchain community.

AI and Machine Learning

AI has started to show its face in gaming and 2025 might be the year it takes the main stage in NFT games. Some studios are experimenting with AI driven characters that learn from player behavior, creating challenges that adapt to each player’s skill level. This keeps the experience engaging and creates a sense of immersion that’s often missing in linear games.

NFT Creation and Curation

AI generated art has already been seen in some NFT collections but the use cases are expanding. Developers can now use machine learning algorithms to generate in-game items that are unique and personalized. Imagine collecting an NFT sword that was algorithmically tailored to your play style or aesthetic preferences. Such innovations will create creativity and interest and will encourage more players to explore digital collectibles that go beyond simple cosmetics.

Data for Developers

Game developers in 2025 will rely more on AI powered analytics tools. These can parse player data, find trends and adjust in-game economies on the fly. By reacting quickly to metrics like player retention and token liquidity studios can fine tune their games to stay competitive. In short AI is moving from a nice to have to a must have in the development process.

Brand Collaborations and IP Integrations

Mainstream Brands into NFT Gaming

Luxury, fashion and entertainment brands started to experiment with NFT collaborations in 2023 and the results have been mixed. But as brands get more comfortable with blockchain the quality and scope of these collaborations will improve. Players in 2025 will see official movie tie-in games, sports partnerships or major retailers creating digital collectibles that tie in with real world products.

Cross Promotion and Fan Engagement

Brands have large and loyal followings which can direct new audiences to NFT gaming. When a popular sports league for example gives a fan the opportunity to own a limited edition collectible or access exclusive game modes it helps bridge the gap between non-crypto audiences and the blockchain world. Cross promotion will pique curiosity and reward existing fans with tangible ownership of digital and physical products.

Overall Market

By partnering with big brands blockchain games can show real world utility beyond speculation. As mainstream IP enters the scene the NFT gaming market will get a influx of interest from fans who have never considered tokenized assets or digital wallets before.

Maturity of Virtual Worlds

Blockchain powered metaverses have been on the horizon for years promising persistent digital spaces where players can own land, build communities and even host events. By 2025 these virtual worlds will offer more polished experiences with better graphics, improved interfaces and more social features.

Esports and Events

Competitive events within metaverse platforms are already in the experimental phase. Some see the metaverse as an evolution of traditional esports arenas where players can compete in front of virtual audiences, buy NFT tickets and earn collectible trophies. With better VR and AR technology fans can feel closer to the action and blur the lines between sports, entertainment and social hangouts.

New Forms of Social Interaction

What makes the metaverse unique is the community driven approach. Players are no longer just consumers but active contributors building experiences for others and using NFTs as the currency of collaboration. DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) allow users to vote on platform decisions and take ownership and governance to the next level.

Regulatory Clarity and Institutional Adoption

During the early days of the NFT craze the industry was navigating a patchwork of regulations with some countries offering more guidance than others. Towards 2025 clearer rules around digital assets and crypto transactions will give developers and investors a more solid foundation. This will encourage more institutional involvement from banks, venture capital firms and even government backed programs.

Institutional Confidence

Large investors need legal clarity and risk mitigation before entering new markets. As governments provide more concrete guidelines established companies will be more likely to fund NFT gaming projects or form strategic partnerships. More capital will mean higher production values, broader marketing campaigns and more professionalized game development.

Risks

Regulations will come with compliance costs that smaller studios can’t afford. But most see new rules as a net positive for consumers, to weed out bad actors and increase trust in the industry. Over time these safeguards will bring in millions of players who have been waiting for NFT gaming to mature and go mainstream.

On-Chain Identity and Reputation Systems

Trust in Virtual Spaces

Player identity in NFT gaming has been tied to wallet addresses and online profiles which some see as lacking the depth of real world credentials. Now developers are experimenting with on-chain identity solutions – digital badges or soulbound tokens – to track achievements, establish trust and accountability.

Decentralized Social Networks

By 2025 it’s possible a gamer’s reputation in one game could transfer to another through decentralized profiles. Players could earn “reputation tokens” for good sportsmanship or notable achievements which are visible across multiple games. This will encourage more positive interactions and less toxic behavior.

Rewards and Social Capital

On-chain identity systems allow communities to reward contributors. A top tournament organizer for example could earn governance tokens that give them voting rights on major gameplay updates. This integration of social capital and game mechanics will incentivize players to contribute positively and shape a more collaborative digital world.

Conclusion: Preparing for the Next Frontier of NFT Gaming

Looking at these trends – sustainable P2E economies, cross-chain adoption, AI integration, brand collaborations, metaverse expansions, regulatory shifts and on-chain identities – it’s clear NFT gaming in 2025 will be more innovative and more stable than ever. The industry’s “wild west” phase of rapid token launches and hype is giving way to a more structured and community focused environment.

For the average gamer these changes mean new opportunities for immersive storytelling, real ownership of in-game assets and even the chance to shape the direction of a game. For developers they get access to new powerful tools – AI driven analytics and cross-chain marketplaces – to build more complex and resilient virtual economies. For investors it means regulatory guardrails will add legitimacy and bring NFT gaming into the mainstream and potentially more users.

As 2025 arrives the intersection of tech, creativity and community will reshape how we play, earn and connect through gaming. Whether you’re new to the space or have been around since the dawn of blockchain projects the future is bright. Keep an eye on these trends and you’ll be ready for the next big jump.

5 Reasons Why Genesis Is Taking The Luxury Car Market By Storm

5 Reasons Why Genesis Is Taking The Luxury Car Market By Storm

Genesis is a Korean brand that branched off from its Hyundai in 2015 and has taken the international automotive market by storm. As the only luxury brand born from a Korean company, Genesis is proud of its distinctive heritage and infuses much of its culture into the purchasing experience and customer relationship.

Genesis is experiencing a very rapid pace of sales growth. In July of this year, the company marked its best-ever monthly U.S. sales achievement with 6,300 units vehicles, representing a 22% increase over July of last year. In 2023 alone, the company says it has already hit a sales record in terms of cars sold for the first half of the year.

Among its different models are the G70 sport sedan, G80 executive sedan, the flagship G90 sedan, all-electric GV60 SUV, GV70 SUV and GV80 SUV. The GV60 is its first, fully-dedicated electric vehicle although it offers all-electric models of the G80 and GV70. Here are five reasons why Genesis vehicles are worth exploring if you are looking for a new luxury vehicle.

The design

Genesis had the opportunity to essentially build a new brand from scratch by rethinking what they wanted in a high-performance, luxury market vehicle.

The most popular model in the U.S. is the G70 SUV with its sweptback, coupe-like roof line showing off a level of athletic elegance. An immediately noticeable feature of many Genesis vehicles are the dual-line head and tail lamps that give it an almost sportscar-like look. The crest-style grille makes it instantly recognizable, and this is where the hidden charging point is on the electrified G70, which can reach 429 horsepower in no time (push the “boost” button if you really want to floor it!). The car also comes in a twin V6 engine that can reach 375 horsepower.

car interiorInside, the vehicle relies on a simplistic, yet functional, design. A variety of pairings is available for the leather and dashboard accents, many of which bear color names influenced by global destinations. The inspiration for the look actually comes from athletic leisure wear, underlining the brand’s commitment to being a more casual style of luxury vehicle and appeal to a broader audience.

Air vents are slim, yet powerful, and the heads up display behind the steering wheel (within view) provides an alternative to the GPS capability from the main screen in the center console. Expect heated or cooling leather seats, massage features, Bang & Olufsen stereo systems and detailed finishes throughout the vehicle.

sedanGenesis also has its place in the sedan market showcasing its latest iteration of the G90, considered to be its flagship, which was totally redesigned with new driver systems and two new V6 engines instead of one V8. It comes in both standard and electric models, but the latter adds both horsepower (from 375 to 409) as well as better air suspension to avoid extra bumps on the road.

Pioneering technology

car interiorGenesis cars are renowned for their attention to detail, but also the level of sophistication that goes into every aspect of the vehicle. A surround-view mirror uses side-facing radar technology and a blind spot alert system that kicks in when you use the turn signal. It also uses a remote spot park assist system to make parking both safer and easier. All of the safety mechanisms of a Genesis vehicle come standard; there is no need to pay extra for particular features the way other car manufacturers may price vehicles with add-on services.

As part of the Prestige model in the U.S., even the noise level from inside the car was carefully considered. A system carefully measures the noise and sound frequency to create an inverted frequency (some might call it one level above your standard white noise) to make the drive even quieter.

Another unique feature in the all-electric GV60 SUV is the crystal sphere that illuminates when the car is not in driving mode. Inside the sphere is a laser-engraved version of the Genesis G-Matrix design signature.

The car is so quiet, in fact, that it can sometimes be hard to know if it is even on. Once the ignition is pressed and the foot is on the brake pedal, it revolves to reveal drive-mode features. It’s a snazzy addition, for sure.

car camera screenFront-facing cameras are always looking out for road imperfections, like bumps or potholes, to prepare the vehicle for a smoother ride. Face Connect is another world’s first feature, which allows users to unlock the vehicle using their face (similar to what you may do on a smartphone using biometric data) rather than carrying a key around with you.

For now, it is only available in the all-electric GV60 SUV with innovative biometric technology so that owners can rev up their cars without even using a key. Just by scanning their face, the user’s profile prepares the car for that specific driver including settings for the steering wheel, the driver’s seat and head-up-display positioning.

In the G90 flagship sedan, a “mood curator” design system adjusts the lighting, seat features and massage functions, and fragrance emission at the touch of a button.

The sales process

carThe company sells cars in its Genesis Studios, a modern take on what others may consider to be a car dealership. But, there’s a major difference in the layout and design focus of the space. These sales spaces put the cars front and center as showpieces on the floor with living room-style areas and even entertainment space in some in the rest of the area. Visitors can peruse the vehicle, ask questions or schedule a test drive. The latest opening is in Edinburgh, Scotland with another new location in the Atlanta area.

More than 50 of them are expected to open within the next year around the United States. They embody the Korean philosophy of “son-nim,” meaning “honored guest,” offering an experience that is quite different from what other automotive brands do in the sales process. According to Genesis, this allows for a more transparent vehicle purchase and avoids the typical, high-pressure (and sometimes uncomfortable) dealership visit.

Genesis can also send people to someone’s home to help them in the decision-making and sales process. When a customer purchases a new Genesis vehicle, they receive access to a 30-minute fast charging service, the Electrify America network, on a complimentary basis for three years. Even after that, Genesis electric vehicles use an 800 volt architecture that allows you to go from 10 to 80% charging in just 18-22 minutes, depending on the model, so it’s not like you need a lot of time to power up a car.

restaurantIn New York, the brand has its own Korean restaurant, which sits atop the Genesis House showroom. In the basement, additional entertainment space is available for rent. It’s no coincidence that Genesis sees its brand as one that intermingles with lifestyle and fashion. The New York space even has a tea pavilion, library and rooftop terrace.

Eco-friendly commitment

electric car chargingAs of 2025, Genesis has committed to becoming all electric with its new cars, and by 2030, it sees its entire production line to be 100% electric. And as part of its power transformation, it is adopting a dual electrification strategy using fuel cells and battery EVs. It is also focused on developing better technology that involves lithium-ion batteries to be used in its vehicles.

This aligns with the general shift of the global economy as more North Americans look to lower their carbon footprint while also taking advantage of tax breaks along the way. Genesis is proud of the fact that it has re-engineered the body structure with more aluminum to make it more lightweight than a gas-fueled car.

Along its own value chain, Genesis wants to be entirely carbon neutral when it comes to how it sources its materials to the way it builds each vehicle from scratch. Hyundai itself has plans to provide hydrogen fuel cell versions for its own commercial vehicles; these will be available by 2028.

ladies and a carGenesis sees itself as more than just a car manufacturer. In fact, its eco-friendly ethos extends beyond vehicles. The brand team can come to a buyer’s home to help them set up onsite charging stations while also installing solar panels for their home. Known as Genesis Home, this helps owners with car charging, but also by saving electricity on a broader scale to continue their “electrification journey” into other parts of their life.

Its Korean distinction

The brand sees itself as a beacon of Korean hospitality across the globe. In Genesis retail venues, the car company has created a signature fragrance and a scent diffuser using soothing notes. North American customers receive a custom scent blend to also use in their home.

tea houseIt also serves a variety of bespoke tea blends (its headquarters has a team of tea sommeliers that blend them from scratch) in retail venues and gifts them to customers. This brand leans heavily into its Korean heritage, which teaches humility as a core value. For a luxury car brand, the juxtaposition could not be more stark, but when owners rave about the brand itself, it becomes as real as it gets.

Why Jim Parsons Thought He Was A Mediocre Producer On Young Sheldon – SlashFilm

Why Jim Parsons Thought He Was A Mediocre Producer On Young Sheldon – SlashFilm

In the canon of successful TV spin-offs, we must now always mention “Young Sheldon.” Taking place in the same universe of “The Big Bang Theory,” the sitcom focused on a young Sheldon Cooper growing up in Texas long before he became the man audiences knew, as portrayed by Jim Parsons. When it came time to give his character new life through a younger lens, Parsons was directly involved not only as the show’s narrator, but as an executive producer as well. But while he is relatively confident as an actor, Parsons didn’t have that same confidence as a producer.

In a 2017 interview with CBS News, Parsons sat down with “Young Sheldon” star Iain Armitage to discuss the show, as well as their relationship. Parsons very much mentored Armitage to help him become the young Sheldon Cooper. But when asked specifically about being an executive producer, Parsons wasn’t shy about his feelings.

“I’m very mediocre at it,” Parsons replied, although Armitage quickly interjected and disagreed, saying, “Not true.” Speaking a bit further. Parsons elaborated on his new position and explained why it had been a challenge for him. What it came down to is that he didn’t want to tell another actor how to do their job:

“It’s very strange and it’s taken a lot to get used to, even talking to another actor, in this case, Iain. I’ve never been someone comfortable giving another actor direction. I don’t know what makes any other actor tick, necessarily, and I don’t want to break it, or him!”

“I’m not that fragile. I’m fragile, but not that fragile,” Armitage commented. Parsons then agreed, replying, “No, you’re not actually.”

Big Sheldon had to pass the torch to Young Sheldon

For what it’s worth, everything worked out regardless of Parsons’ feelings about himself as a producer. “Young Sheldon” ran for seven seasons on CBS before concluding its run in May 2024. That’s a whopping 141 episodes, for those keeping track. It’s not as many as the 12 seasons and 279 episodes as “Big Bang Theory,” but to say that the spin-off had anything shy of a resoundingly successful run would be unfair.

Parsons largely allowed Armitage to put his own stamp on Sheldon Cooper, even from the beginning. Yes, we know the old Sheldon, which Armitage referred to as “big Sheldon” in the interview, but this was a very different version of the character. Parsons spoke a bit about that, explaining that watching the younger Sheldon discover everything he loves would keep the show running:

“It really is its own character. What you’re seeing is how he became what we see in the adult show, and so this is kind of its own creature that [Iain’s] portraying here. There are overlaps, but we watch him discover things, like comic books, and his clothes are going to change style as he goes through this. All the things that you associate with Sheldon now, you see how they got there through him.”

Even though he only served as the narrator for the vast majority of the show, Parsons did appear as Sheldon Cooper in the “Young Sheldon” series finale. He helped finish what he started, with Armitage now able to build a career after a very successful seven-year run on a hit show. Everyone won out. So it might be hard, with the benefit of hindsight, to agree that Parsons is a bad producer.

“Young Sheldon” is streaming now on Max, or you can grab your favorite season on Blu-ray/DVD via Amazon.

All the celebrities we cancelled in 2024 – from Huw Edwards and Phillip Schofield to Gregg Wallace

One minute they’re hot, the next they’re being cancelled — here are all the celebrities the public waved goodbye to and are leaving behind in 2024.

From Diddy’s ongoing controversy to Phillip Schofield’s unwanted TV comeback and Gregg Wallace’s MasterChef allegations, here is everyone who’s had a bad 2024.

      Cancelled Celebrities: Phillip Schofield

Just when the public thought they had seen the last of Phillip in 2024, he made an unexpected TV comeback in September this year.

The former This Morning host, who quit ITV after admitting to having an affair with a much younger colleague, returned to our screens for Channel 5’s Cast Away.

The show followed Phillip around on a remote island for ten days and detailed the challenges of isolation. Within the three episodes, the 62-year-old opened up about his fallout with ITV, the affair, and struggling with mental health.

Still, Phillip’s vulnerability wasn’t good enough as critics and viewers slammed the show.

“Well that was the most boring hour of television I’ve ever watched on Channel 5 and he is still as annoying as we all already knew,” one X user wrote.

“Okay now fade away into obscurity and never come back,” another shared.

Once upon a time, Huw Edwards served as one of the main presenters on BBC One’s News at Ten. Now, he’s known for being disgraced.

However, before Huw was totally cancelled, he announced he had resigned from the BBC in April “on the basis of medical advice from his doctors.”

The news followed from the allegations that he paid a young person for sexually explicit images. In July 2023, his wife, Vicky Flind, revealed he had been “suffering from serious mental health issues”.

After admitting charges of making indecent images of children, Huw was sentenced to six months in September, suspended for two years.

In a statement, the BBC stated they were “appalled by his crimes”. They added: “He has betrayed not just the BBC, but audiences who put their trust in him.”

      Gregg Wallace’s MasterChef scandal

It’s been one thing after another for MasterChef host Gregg Wallace.

In November, the 60-year-old announced he would be stepping down from the show. This revelation arrived following allegations of inappropriate sexual comments from 13 people.

Gregg’s lawyers deny that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature. However, Gregg has “committed to fully co-operating throughout the process” as the investigation takes place.

Amid the scandal, Rod Stewart responded to the news via his Instagram page, stating that he “humiliated” his wife, Penny Lancaster, on Celebrity MasterChef. The Hot Legs hitmaker insulted Gregg by calling him a “tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully”.

Hitting back at the headlines and allegations, Gregg insisted the complaints came from a “handful of middle-class women of a certain age”.

      Cancelled Celebrities: Diddy

Rapper and business mogul Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, has remained in the headlines throughout 2024 for all the wrong reasons.

The hitmaker, who helped develop the legendary artists Usher and Mary J. Blige, faced lawsuits related to sexual assault. On September 16, he was arrested at a hotel in New York.

Denying all charges, Diddy faces a criminal trial having been denied bail at $50m (£37.8m). However, more allegations have continued to emerge, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

In October, Diddy’s mother, Janice Smalls Combs, released a statement via her attorney.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” she wrote.

“To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words,” Janice continued.

“Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence. I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in his past, as we all have.”

      Graziano Di Prima

Italian dancer Graziano Di Prima was immediately axed from Strictly earlier this year after initially being confirmed for the 2024 series. He first joined the show in 2018.

However, following allegations of misconduct against him, Graziano revealed he would not be returning to Strictly. His spokesperson confirmed that he once kicked his 2023 dance partner Zara McDermott in rehearsals. “There is never a time when kicking, or any sense of that is right,” they stated.

In his own statement, Graziano said he “deeply regrets” the events leading up to his exit. He also accepted that his “intense passion and determination to win might have affected my training regime”.

      Jermaine Jenas

One minute Jermaine Jenas was busy presenting BBC’s The One Show and Match of the Day, and then the next he was completely removed from the network.

In August, Jermaine was sacked from the network after he was accused of sending “inappropriate messages” to two female colleagues. Jermaine has been married for 13 years and shares a child with his wife, Ellie Penfold.

Responding to the news, Jermaine stated there were “two sides to every story” and was letting his “lawyers deal with it”. However, the BBC confirmed he would not be returning to their presenting line-up.

Amid the controversy, Ellie spoke out, stating the past few months had been “incredibly hard”.

“Naturally this has been hard for me but my only concern has been our children and that will not change,” she told The Sun. “Now I just want to move forward.”

From bad to worse, it was revealed months later that Jermaine had been replaced by Nicki Shields as host for Formula E after ITV signed a deal to broadcast the season.

      Cancelled celebrities: JK Rowling

JK Rowling feuded with Harry Potter stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe regarding transgender identity and rights in 2024.

The best-selling author called out “celebs” who she claimed had “used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors”.

In 2020, Emma and Daniel previously spoke out against JK’s stance on gender identity. After raising her concerns about gender identity services for those under 18, JK took to X earlier this year to share a report, which said the evidence on medical intervention in gender care against children was  “remarkably weak,” and described it as a “watershed moment”.

In response to JK sharing the report, one user replied: “Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology… safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them…”

JK saw the message and responded with: “Not safe, I’m afraid.

“Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.”

In April, JK listed and misgendered several transgender women on X. This was in response to the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021 going into effect.

      Justin Timberlake

Singer Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving while intoxicated over the summer.

Pleading guilty to a lesser offense of “driving while ability impaired,” he was given a 25-hour community service. Justin also received a traffic violation fine worth $500 and a 90-day license suspension.

As reported by Page Six, when the Cry Me A River hitmaker was being arrested, Justin seemed more bothered about something else. Muttering under his breath, he allegedly said: “This is going to ruin the tour.”

“What tour?” the policeman asked. “The world tour,” he responded.

Never mind the people, you could have ruined Justin!

All Marvel Rivals Currencies & What They Are Used For

All Marvel Rivals Currencies & What They Are Used For

Marvel Rivals is one of the most popular hero shooters of recent times, and it allows players to play with their favorite heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe. All hero shooters offer both competitive and casual play, allowing players to enjoy the game as they feel. It is the same with Marvel Rivals and it also has a similarity in offering multiple types of currencies. Each currency has a different use than the other one, which can confuse new players in the game. In this guide, we will go over all Marvel Rivals currencies and tell you what they are used for.

How Many Currencies Are There in Marvel Rivals

There are three different types of currencies currently available in Marvel Rivals. Every currency usage is different than the other as well as its obtainable method. Here are all the available currencies in Marvel Rivals.

        Lattice: Premium currency

        Units: Secondary currency

        Chrono Tokens: Main currency

What is the Lattice currency and its Usage

Lattice is the premium currency in Marvel Rivals which is used for only two actions. You can use it to purchase any currently available seasonal Battlepass. The seasonal battlepass includes all kinds of rewards such as skins, cosmetics, currencies, and more. Another usage of Lattice is that you can convert it to Units and Chrono Tokens at a 1:1 ratio. For instance, if you want 100 more Units, you can use 100 Lattice and convert them into Units. The same goes for Chrono Tokens. However, it is recommended that Lattice be converted into Units because Units are rarer than Chrono Tokens.

Last but not least, to get Lattice, you will have to spend real-world money. The cheapest pack of Lattice is for $0.99 and it gives you 100 Lattice.

What is the Units currency and its Usage

Units is one of the main currencies in the game that you mainly use for purchasing cosmetics, skins, and bundles from the in-game store. So, in short, your main currency for purchasing any item from the store is Units. Moreover, as we mentioned above, you can convert Lattice into Units at a 1:1 ratio.

Furthermore, you can also get Units from certain Events like Entangled Moments and completing Achievements in the Heroic Journey category.

What is the Chrono Tokens currency and its Usage

Chrono Tokens is the main currency in Marvel Rivals that you will use to unlock the rewards from the Battle Pass. However, unlike Units, Chrono Tokens are more common. You can receive Chrono Tokens from daily missions and challenges. Moreover, you can also get some Chrono Tokens from the Achievements like Units.

Gogglebox stars handed strict rule ahead of filming following claims show is ‘a pantomime’ behind the scenes

Gogglebox stars handed strict rule ahead of filming following claims show is ‘a pantomime’ behind the scenes

The stars of Gogglebox have a strict alcohol rule that they must abide by while filming the hit show, which may be confusing considering they may be seen enjoying a tipple while watching telly.

You can catch the stars on the show tonight (New Year’s Day).

Gogglebox stars must follow alcohol rule

Gogglebox has been a smash hit since first airing on Channel 4 back in 2013.

The stars are seen watching TV shows in the comfort of their own homes with their families. However, there are some rules that they must follow, despite being in their own houses.

One key rule that must be followed is that the stars aren’t allowed to be drunk while filming the show!

The rule has been put in place for a simple reason (Credit: Channel 4)

The stars of the show are often seen sipping drinks, however, they’re not allowed to be inebriated while on camera.

The rules have been implemented for a pretty understandable reason – producers don’t want the cast slurring their words while trying to comment on what they’re watching.

Tom Malone Jr, a former star of the show, once spoke to The Sun about the rule.

“We weren’t allowed to order or drink alcohol, because I don’t think the show would work if we were all there slurring our words,” he said.

          Fair enough!

          ‘Pantomime’ behind the scenes

Another rule that the Gogglebox stars must follow is that they have to be paying attention to what’s on-screen – and not looking down at their phones.

After her exit from the show in 2021, Paige Deville described the show as being a “pantomime” behind the scenes.

Speaking to The Sun at the time, she said: “It’s a bit of a pantomime behind the scenes, you have to understand that you’re a character in a show and you can’t be your 100 percent authentic self, otherwise everyone would be on their phones for half of the show.”

She then said that producers prep cast members for big moments to react to by giving them a countdown.

Paige also claimed that producers could film things up to three times to get the reaction they wanted.

“At times it can be a bit like, ‘Right, I’m watching this again’, but it’s a job at the end of the day,” she said.

It was also revealed that stars have a budget per day that can go towards ordering a takeaway.
