Enhancing RAG Context Recall with a Custom Embedding Model: Guide

Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) has become a go-to approach for integrating large language models (LLMs) into specialized business applications, allowing proprietary data to be directly infused into the model’s responses. However, as powerful as RAG is during the proof of concept (POC) phase, developers frequently encounter significant accuracy drops when deploying it into production. This issue is especially noticeable during the retrieval phase, where the goal is to accurately retrieve the most relevant context for a given query—a metric often referred to as context recall.

This guide focuses on how to improve context recall by customizing and fine-tuning an embedding model. We’ll explore embedding models, how to prepare a dataset tailored to your needs, and specific steps for training and evaluating your model, all of which can significantly enhance RAG’s performance in production. Here’s how to refine your embedding model and boost your RAG context recall by over 95%.

What is RAG and Why Does it Struggle in Production?

RAG consists of two primary steps: retrieval and generation. During retrieval, the model fetches the most relevant context by converting the text into vectors, indexing, retrieving, and re-ranking these vectors to select the top matches. In the generation stage, this retrieved-context is combined with prompts, which are then sent to the LLM to generate responses. Unfortunately, the retrieval phase often fails to retrieve all relevant contexts, causing drops in context recall and leading to less accurate generation outputs.

One solution is adapting the embedding model—a neural network designed to understand the relationships between text data—so it produces embeddings that are highly specific to your dataset. This fine-tuning enables the model to create similar vectors for similar sentences, allowing it to retrieve contexts that are more relevant to the query.

Understanding Embedding Models

Embedding models extend beyond simple word vectors, offering sentence-level semantic understanding. For instance, embedding models trained with techniques such as masked language modeling learn to predict masked words within a sentence, giving them a deep understanding of language structure and context. These embeddings are often optimized using distance metrics like cosine similarity to prioritize and rank the most relevant contexts during retrieval.

For example, an embedding model might generate similar vectors for these sentences:

Even though they describe different things, they both relate to the theme of color and nature, so they are likely to have a high similarity score.

For RAG, high similarity between a query and relevant context ensures accurate retrieval. Let’s examine a practical case where we aim to improve this similarity for better results.

Customizing the Embedding Model for Enhanced Context Recall

To significantly improve context recall, we adapt the embedding model to our specific dataset, making it better suited to retrieve relevant contexts for any given query. Rather than training a new model from scratch, which is resource-intensive, we fine-tune an existing model on our proprietary data.

Why Not Train from Scratch?

Starting from scratch isn’t necessary because most embedding models are pre-trained on billions of tokens and have already learned a substantial amount about language structures. Fine-tuning such a model to make it domain-specific is far more efficient and ensures quicker, more accurate results.

Step 1: Preparing the Dataset

A customized embedding model requires a dataset that closely mirrors the kind of queries it will encounter in real use. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown:

Training Set Preparation

Mine Questions: Extract a wide range of questions related to your knowledge base using the LLM. If your knowledge base is extensive, consider chunking it and generating questions for each chunk.

Paraphrase for Variability: Paraphrase each question to expand your training dataset, helping the model generalize better across similar queries.

Organize by Relevance: Assign each question a corresponding context that directly addresses it. The aim is to ensure that during training, the model learns to associate specific queries with the most relevant information.

Testing Set Preparation

Sample and Refine: Create a smaller test set by sampling real user queries or questions that may come up in practice. This testing set helps ensure that your model performs well on unseen data.

Include Paraphrased Variations: Add slight paraphrases of the test questions to help the model handle different phrasings of similar queries.

For this example, we’ll use the “PubMedQA” dataset from Hugging Face, which contains unique publication IDs (pubid), questions, and contexts. Here’s a sample code snippet for loading and structuring this dataset:

from datasets import load_dataset
med_data = load_dataset(“qiaojin/PubMedQA”, “pqa_artificial”, split=“train”)

med_data = med_data.remove_columns([‘long_answer’, ‘final_decision’])
df = pd.DataFrame(med_data)
df[‘contexts’] = df[‘context’].apply(lambda x: x[‘contexts’])
expanded_df = df.explode(‘contexts’)
expanded_df.reset_index(drop=True, inplace=True)
splitted_dataset = Dataset.from_pandas(expanded_df[[‘question’, ‘contexts’]])

Step 2: Constructing the Evaluation Dataset

To assess the model’s performance during fine-tuning, we prepare an evaluation dataset. This dataset is derived from the training set but serves as a realistic representation of how well the model might perform in a live setting.

Generating Evaluation Data

From the PubMedQA dataset, select a sample of contexts, then use the LLM to generate realistic questions based on this context. For example, given a context on immune cell response in breast cancer, the LLM might generate questions like “How does immune cell profile affect breast cancer treatment outcomes?”

Each row of your evaluation dataset will thus include several context-question pairs that the model can use to assess its retrieval accuracy.

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(api_key=“”)

prompt = “””Your task is to mine questions from the given context.
{context} {example_question} “””

questions = []
for row in eval_med_data_seed:
context = “\n\n”.join(row[“context”][“contexts”])
completion = client.chat.completions.create(
model=“gpt-4o”,
messages=[
{“role”: “system”, “content”: “You are a helpful assistant.”},
{“role”: “user”, “content”: prompt.format(context=context, example_question=row[“question”])}
]
)
questions.append(completion.choices[0].message.content.split(“|”))

Step 3: Setting Up the Information Retrieval Evaluator

To gauge model accuracy in the retrieval phase, use an Information Retrieval Evaluator. The evaluator retrieves and ranks contexts based on similarity scores and assesses them using metrics like Recall@k, Precision@k, Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR), and Accuracy@k.

Define Corpus and Queries: Organize the corpus (context information) and queries (questions from your evaluation set) into dictionaries.

Set Relevance: Establish relevance by linking each query ID with a set of relevant context IDs, which represents the contexts that ideally should be retrieved.

Evaluate: The evaluator calculates metrics by comparing retrieved contexts against relevant ones. Recall@k is a critical metric here, as it indicates how well the retriever pulls relevant contexts from the database.

from sentence_transformers import InformationRetrievalEvaluator

ir_evaluator = InformationRetrievalEvaluator(
queries=eval_queries,
corpus=eval_corpus,
relevant_docs=eval_relevant_docs,
name=“med-eval-test”,
)

Step 4: Training the Model

Now we’re ready to train our customized embedding model. Using the sentence-transformer library, we’ll configure the training parameters and utilize the MultipleNegativeRankingLoss function to optimize similarity scores between queries and positive contexts.

Training Configuration

Set the following training configurations:

Training Epochs: Number of training cycles.

Batch Size: Number of samples per training batch.

Evaluation Steps: Frequency of evaluation checkpoints.

Save Steps and Limits: Frequency and total limit for saving the model.

from sentence_transformers import SentenceTransformer, losses

model = SentenceTransformer(“stsb-distilbert-base”)
train_loss = losses.MultipleNegativesRankingLoss(model=model)

trainer = SentenceTransformerTrainer(
model=model, args=args,
train_dataset=splitted_dataset[“train”],
eval_dataset=splitted_dataset[“test”],
loss=train_loss,
evaluator=ir_evaluator
)

trainer.train()

Results and Improvements

After training, the fine-tuned model should display significant improvements, particularly in context recall. In testing, fine-tuning showed an increase in:

Recall@1: 78.8%

Recall@3: 137.9%

Recall@5: 116.4%

Recall@10: 95.1%

Such improvements mean that the retriever can pull more relevant contexts, leading to a substantial boost in RAG accuracy overall.

Final Notes: Monitoring and Retraining

Once deployed, monitor the model for data drift and periodically retrain as new data is added to the knowledge base. Regularly assessing context recall ensures that your embedding model continues to retrieve the most relevant information, maintaining RAG’s accuracy and reliability in real-world applications. By following these steps, you can achieve high RAG accuracy, making your

model robust and production-ready.

Apple Admits to Security Vulnerability That Leaves Crypto Users Exposed—Here’s What You Should Do – Decrypt

Apple confirmed Monday its devices were left vulnerable to an exploit that allowed for remote malicious code execution through web-based JavaScript, opening up an attack vector that could have part unsuspecting victims from their crypto.

According to a recent Apple security disclosure, users must use the latest versions of its JavaScriptCore and WebKit software to patch the vulnerability.

The bug, discovered by researchers at Google’s threat analysis group, allows for “processing maliciously crafted web content,” which could lead to a “cross-site scripting attack.”

More alarmingly, Apple also admitted it “is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited on Intel-based Mac systems.”

Apple also issued a similar security disclosure for iPhone and iPad users. Here, it says, the JavaScriptCore vulnerability allowed for “processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution.”

In other words, Apple became aware of a security flaw that could let hackers take control of a user’s iPhone or iPad if they visit a harmful website. An update should solve the issue, Apple said.

Jeremiah O’Connor, CTO and co-founder of crypto cybersecurity firm Trugard, told Decrypt that “attackers could access sensitive data like private keys or passwords” stored in their browser, enabling crypto theft if the user’s device remained unpatched.

Revelations of the vulnerability within the crypto community began circulating on social media on Wednesday, with former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao raising the alarm in a tweet advising that users of Macbooks with Intel CPUs should update as soon as possible.

The development follows March reports that security researchers have discovered a vulnerability in Apple’s previous generation chips—its M1, M2, and M3 series that could let hackers steal cryptographic keys.

The exploit, which isn’t new, leverages “prefetching,” a process used by Apple’s own M-series chips to speed up interactions with the company’s devices. Prefetching can be exploited to store sensible data in the processor’s cache and then access it to reconstruct a cryptographic key that is supposed to be inaccessible.

Unfortunately, ArsTechnica reports that this is a significant issue for Apple users since a chip-level vulnerability can not be solved through a software update.

A potential workaround can alleviate the problem, but those trade performance for security.

    Kim Deal Feels ‘Weird’ About Having Her Face on Solo Album Cover

      Kim Deal Feels ‘Weird’ About Having Her Face on Solo Album Cover

      Alex Da Corte

      Kim Deal has been in the music business for a long time, but she still encountered some surprises while making her first solo album.

      Choosing the cover art for Nobody Loves You More presented the Breeders frontwoman, 63, with a whole host of options she’d never considered before — for instance, putting her own face on the record.

      “Somebody at the label said, ‘You know, you could be on it,’” Deal exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of her album’s Friday, November 22, release. “And I was like, ‘I could be on it, couldn’t I?’ Why not? I don’t have a better idea.”

      The final product features Deal afloat on a faux sea with her guitar, some amps and a flamingo. The artist said she is still feeling “a little weird” about seeing herself in ads for the album.

      “I think this is quite subversive, look at me on the album cover, this is funny — and then they start to talk about promo,” she recalled. “I’m thinking my face will be on the vinyl record. You buy it at the store, it’ll be fine. But no. … It’s like, ‘Oh, no, that’s my motherf—in’ face, and it’s on an advertisement for a product now.’ And that was a big surprise for me.”

      After nearly 40 years in the music industry, Deal is used to being in the spotlight — but she’s rarely faced it alone. With the exception of several solo singles she released in the early 2010s, she’s always been part of a band — Pixies, the Breeders, the Amps — so making a full-length Kim Deal record was a new adventure. To bring Nobody Loves You More to life, Deal worked with plenty of longtime collaborators, including her twin sister, Kelley Deal, and their Breeders bandmate Jim Macpherson. Still, she said it was a thrill to be fully in the driver’s seat this time around.

      “I remember working with Mando [Lopez] on Breeders stuff. … We would go over and over it, like weeks and weeks coming up with ideas and stuff like that,” Kim explained. “In this case, the song [would be] pretty much done … and I had gotten maybe a demo or pretty much knew what I wanted.”

      Her sister, however, had to do a bit more legwork. “Kelley did have to do sort of band stuff where she came over and I wouldn’t let her leave until she threw out all sorts of different guitar ideas for this song I’m working on,” Kim recalled. “It’s like, ‘Wait, don’t leave. Another frequent Kim collaborator who worked on Nobody Loves You More is legendary producer Steve Albini, who died in May at age 61. The duo’s first collaborative project was the 1988 Pixies album Surfer Rosa, and they later joined forces for several Breeders LPs.

      “He’s known for this punk guy [energy] and he was definitely that,” Kim said. “But one thing that really impressed me, one day we were doing a song called ‘Summerland,’ and that song has, like, an orchestra. … He was so respectful. He was so communicative. Every headphone box works. The mics are already set up. There are seats for everybody. Of course all the machines are on point, because of course they are. I’m A Celebrity: Dean McCullough quits trial as Ant ‘irritated’

        I’m A Celebrity star Dean McCullough quit the Bushtucker trial tonight after bagging four out of 10 stars.

        The radio star faced the Lethal Lab. The trial involved him having to go to different science stations where he had the chance to win stars.

        However, during one station, he had to put his head into boxes and try and get the stars using just his tongue. In one box, Dean faced cockroaches while in another he had spiders crawling over his head.

        But Dean called out “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” when it came to a box containing… fish guts.

        Dean told hosts Ant and Dec that he didn’t want to know what was in the boxes until he was out of it.

        However, as fish guts were poured into the box, Dean squealed and shouted out the iconic phrase meaning the trial came to an end.

        I feel like I’m being told off by Ant and Dec!

        He said: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Stop, stop stop! What is that?!”

        Ant replied: “It’s only fish guts.”

        Dean looked shocked as he said: “Fish guts? Ah it stinks.”

        Dean was let out of the trial, as he said: “I’m sorry.”

        Ant told him: “If you would have let us tell you what was coming in, you wouldn’t have freaked out. Why did you call it on fish guts?!”

        Before the trial, Ant had told Dean: “Now Dean, I want to have a word with you. What happened yesterday? No stars. You can only change the narrative by sticking with it and getting on with it.”

        Dean replied: “I feel like I’m being told off by Ant and Dec!”

        It came after his trial on Wednesday’s show where he and GK Barry failed to get any stars.

        Tonight, Dean went back to camp with four stars and he was thrilled. However, back in the live studio, Ant didn’t seem impressed.

        He said: “What the [bleep] hell?! He only gets four stars and [the campmates] give him a hero’s welcome. Four stars though, it’s not good is it?”

        On X, viewers shared their thoughts with many thinking Ant looked “irritated” by Dean. One person said: “Ant can’t even remotely hide his disdain for Dean.”

        Another wrote: “Ant can’t stand Dean, he is making it very obvious.”

        Someone else added: “Ant couldn’t show his disgust on his face anymore.”

        Another said: “Ant’s face says it all. He’s as irritated with him as the rest of us are! This is getting so boring.”

          “So,” the insider added, “he really questions her motive for bringing Knox.”

          So Brad allegedly believes that this mother-son outing was all about him? Narcissism is a fascinating trait.

          Was Knox walking the red carpet part of an evil scheme by Angelina Jolie?

          Obviously not.

          In fact, a separate insider spoke to Page Six to share that Knox was the one who decided to step out with Angelina.

          “Angelina felt so proud having Knox by her side,” the second source expressed.

          “He typically prefers to stay out of the spotlight and Angelina respects that decision,” the insider detailed.

          “But he asked if he could join her,” the source continued, “and of course she was thrilled that he wanted to be there.”

          According to the insider: “She couldn’t be more proud of him, and they had a really memorable evening together.”

          Wait, what’s this about the Chateau Miraval case?

          Earlier in November, the court declined to grant Angelina Jolie’s attempts to dismiss this exhausting legal battle. Instead, Brad Pitt scored a legal victory as the case moves to trial.

          Despite that win in what some have characterized as his vindictive effort to punish Angelina for divorcing him, it doesn’t sound like he’s in a celebratory mood. Perhaps because he has lost much more than he could ever gain in a lawsuit.

          Obviously, we cannot verify anyone’s private thoughts. However, if you see a teen and his mom on an outing and you think that it’s a conspiracy against you, that may say more about your mindset than their motives.

          GAME faced major workforce cuts recently – WholesGame

          UK video game retailer GAME has experienced significant turbulence in recent months, reportedly losing a substantial portion of its head office workforce following its integration into parent company Frasers Group in August 2024. According to industry reports, the downsizing has left the company struggling with operational inefficiencies, stock shortages, and diminished customer service capabilities.

          Sources suggest that approximately 80% of GAME’s head office staff have been laid off, reducing the department to around 20 employees from its previous count of over 100. This dramatic reduction has reportedly left store managers without dedicated area managers, requiring them to directly coordinate with the already strained head office team.

          Since being acquired by Frasers Group, formerly known as Sports Direct, in 2019, GAME has undergone a gradual transformation. Many standalone stores have closed, replaced by smaller concessions within Sports Direct outlets. 2024 has seen further shifts, including the discontinuation of GAME’s long-standing pre-owned business, the cessation of physical currency card sales, and the termination of in-store pre-orders for new releases.

          The operational restructuring appears to have exacerbated issues in stock management and logistics. Reports indicate frequent delays in delivering new game releases and hardware, with some key titles, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Silent Hill 2, arriving late or in insufficient quantities. Frasers Group’s leadership, reportedly inexperienced in gaming industry logistics, has struggled to align stock orders with release schedules, leading to widespread shortages.

          Staff at GAME have expressed frustration with the shortages, stating that popular titles and new hardware often arrive in numbers too small to meet demand, forcing them to turn away more customers than they serve. Even high-profile launches like the PS5 Pro have been affected, with stores receiving significantly fewer units than expected.

          As GAME continues to grapple with these challenges, the long-term viability of the retailer remains uncertain. The changes under Frasers Group point to a broader shift in strategy, but the apparent lack of industry expertise and resource allocation raises questions about the company’s ability to remain competitive in an evolving market.

          Top 10 best-selling video games in Europe in October 2024 – WholesGame

          The European gaming market saw a 12.4% year-over-year increase in October, with an impressive 18.5 million video games sold. This spike was largely driven by the highly anticipated launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which debuted in October, unlike its predecessor, Modern Warfare 3, which launched in November last year.

          Call of Duty Dominates the ChartsThe latest installment, Black Ops 6, recorded a 5% increase in unit sales during its first two weeks compared to last year’s Modern Warfare 3. However, when measured against 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, launch sales were down by 28%. A major factor influencing these numbers is the inclusion of Black Ops 6 in Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription service, where digital downloads on Xbox and PC are not tracked. This has led to a sharp decline in premium sales for Xbox but a notable 26% sales increase for PlayStation versions compared to Modern Warfare 3, hinting at a significant growth in overall player numbers.

          Newcomers Drive ExcitementEA Sports FC 25 secured the second spot, with sales just 2% below last year’s title. Meanwhile, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero achieved a monumental debut at No.3. With launch sales more than double those of 2020’s Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, it has become the fastest-selling title in the franchise’s history.

          At No.5, Super Mario Party Jamboree made a strong impression, although its physical sales were 6% below 2021’s Mario Party Superstars. Following closely, Silent Hill 2, a remake by Konami, landed at No.6 but fell short of other horror remakes like Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space, with sales down 57% and 31%, respectively.

          Dragon Age: The Veilguard debuted at No.7, performing well in the UK but lagging in other European markets. First-week sales trailed behind recent RPGs such as Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. Closing out the Top 10 was the indie boxing game Undisputed, which demonstrated robust demand for licensed boxing titles.

          Beyond the Top TenJust outside the top ranks was Metaphor: Refantazio, a new IP from Atlus, which outperformed previous Persona titles despite trailing behind the launch of Persona 5 Royal. Meanwhile, Sonic X Shadow Generations landed at No.16, doubling sales of last year’s Sonic Superstars but falling short of 2022’s Sonic Frontiers.

          Hardware and Accessories DeclineThe hardware market contracted significantly, with console sales dropping by 26% year-over-year to 422,000 units. The PS5 saw a 29% decline, Switch sales fell by 10%, and Xbox numbers plummeted by 49%. Accessories fared slightly better but still experienced a 13% drop, with 1.4 million units sold.

            Inside GK Barry and Ella’s romance – nickname to keep romance secret, parting gift and hospitalisation

            I’m A Celebrity star GK Barry recently revealed she’s dating a footballer – and, during her time in the jungle, she’s been very vocal about her gorgeous girlfriend, Ella Rutherford.

            The couple met via social media after following each other on Instagram. And, speaking on the star’s podcast Saving Grace, Ella has since revealed that, when she slid into the DMs, she said: “Is now a good time to tell you that you’re beautiful?”

            It’s a chat-up line that worked as the ladies have been going strong ever since. However, the I’m A Celebrity and Ipswich Town star Ella did keep their romance on the down low for a while…

            How they met and got together

            Grace was the first to follow Ella on Instagram. The footballer then slid into the TikTok star’s DM and thus began their romance.

            Ella revealed she planned an elaborate proposal to ask Grace to be her girlfriend. She snuck into her house and stuck pictures of them together on the wall with candles everywhere. The footballer used rose petals to write “Be my GF” on Grace’s bed.

            Grace said, the “thought of putting each rose petal down on the bed” was the “sweetest thing anyone’s ever done” for her. Of course, she said yes.

            GK Barry on cute nickname for girlfriend Ella

            Grace wanted to keep her girlfriend’s identity a secret when they first started dating. So she gave her the nickname ‘Eyelashes’.

            The TikTok star would refer to Ella by her cute nickname in all her interviews. But it didn’t take fans long to find out who she was dating. They reportedly started dating in early 2024.

            At first, Grace was very secretive about Ella. During an episode of her podcast, the I’m A Celebrity star said: “I’m not gonna say who it is, but I’m gonna give her a nickname called Eyelashes. So whenever I refer to Eyelashes, I am talking about the love of my life.”

            However, in September, the couple finally opened up about their adorable love story on the same podcast. Ella revealed that Grace called her Eyelashes because “I have the best eyelashes out there”.

            She was ‘traumatised’ by girlfriend’s hospitalisation

            Ella underwent surgery before her girlfriend’s stint in I’m A Celebrity. And Grace did what any loving partner would do – went to pick Eyelashes up from the hospital.

            However, the Loose Women star hadn’t “really” found herself in a hospital environment before, except for when she went to see her grandmother once. Then she was younger and “didn’t have any of the anxiety” that she said she experienced when she went to see Ella in hospital.

            “I don’t know what’s happened but it’s got a lot worse. Mentally ill and, yeah, so anyway. I go pick Eyelashes up from the hospital and she… I walk in and she’s in the bed,” she said, according to the Daily Record.

            “She’s in her own little room and she’s in the bed and I think she just looks so [bleep]ing sweet, like her little baby hairs are everywhere.”

            Grace couldn’t wait to cuddle her girlfriend and the two were embracing each other when the room suddenly became a bit hot. She started to hear beeping and saw nurses run hurriedly.

            “And before you know it, I’m having a panic attack. I’m not even there for a reason. I was there to pick her up. I’m like out the bed, like manually breathing like: ‘Babe, we’ve got to go,’” Grace said.

            The TikTok star thought it was the end of her panic attack as she and Ella walked out of the hospital. However, she came across a “woman with a feeding tube” and her episode started “all over again”.

            Unconventional parting gift

            Unlike most couples who give each other plush toys or chocolates as gifts, Grace planned something different for Ella before entering the jungle.

            In an interview with ITV, Grace said she gave Ella a cardboard cutout of herself. “I have got her a cardboard cut out of me so it’s not weird when I am away” Grace said.

            Ella, who is rooting for girlfriend is “very excited” for her and thinks she’ll ace all the trials. Ella also gushed over how “proud” she was of Grace after her first trial.

            GK Barry gets her mum’s seal of approval over girlfriend Ella

            Speaking on Loose Women today (November 21), Grace’s mum Loretta told the panel how she met her daughter’s partner for the first time. And we can safely say Ella’s got the seal of approval.

            “When we got back [from holiday], we went to her house and Ella was there. Grace said: ‘Mum, this is Ella…’ and we said: ‘Hi Ella!’ And to be honest with you, I am so pleased that she’s found someone that is honest and kind and hardworking…

            “As long as they’re happy, I don’t care.”

            Grace has also opened up about how she came out to her parents while in the jungle.

            “It was by accident I found Ella, through a mutual friend and then I really liked her the first day I met her but I’d never told my parents. I’d mentioned: ‘Oh I’m just going to see my friend Ella’ or ‘I’m staying round Ella’s’ so they’d heard her name,” she told her campmates.

            Speaking about a situation when her parents came down to her house to visit when Ella was there, they asked: “Who’s Ella?” and she told them: “Oh, she’s my girlfriend.”

            She explained: “They just love her, they never had an issue with it. They’ve always said whoever you end up with we do not care, boy or girl we don’t care, as long as they’re not a [bleep].”

            I’m A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV1.
