Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Hope Pushed Aside, Steffy Invades, and Luna Lurks Next Week

Bold and the Beautiful stirs things up with Hope Logan, Steffy Forrester, and Luna Nozawa when pain, suffering, and intrigue emerge next week on the CBS soap.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Hope Logan’s Perfect Relationship Tested

Next week, Bold and the Beautiful shakes things up for Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) with Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) in town. She is joining forces with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) as part of his new vision for expanding Forrester Creations into other luxury brands.

Daphne’s French perfume is about to come on board. But this woman brings more than an elegant scent to FC. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers suggest this new collaborator is about to start turmoil for Hope.

    B&B | CBS

Hope Logan declares that her relationship with Carter is the real deal for her. Carter also shared his feelings of devoted love for Hope. But while he showers her with dialog about being his one and only, it sounds too familiar. B&B fans have heard this from him several times before.

Hope Logan is just one of several women who heard the same lines from Carter.  Not long ago, he couldn’t live without Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), or Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). Of course, he also laid his spiel on thick to Katie Logan (Heather Barnes). He left Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) standing at the altar. But before he did, she also heard the same lines from him.

So, Bold and the Beautiful viewers have seen Carter switch gears in the blink of an eye. But he was usually the one being dumped. This time may turn out differently. B&B spoilers suggest that Carter is soon smitten by their French visitor.

Hints surface suggesting that Hope Logan could find herself in competition. Her relationship could soon hang in the balance as her soulmate’s eyes may start to wander.

B&B Spoilers: Steffy Forrester Concocts a Plan

The preview for Bold and the Beautiful next week has Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) rallying the troops. She suggests to her father that any member of the family can go into Forrester Creations.

So, if she can’t beat them, she will likely join them, but only to keep a watchful eye on things. Steffy’s ploy comes on the heels of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) explaining why she became the new CEO. She gave Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) the lowdown on her plan. But, when he passes this along to Steffy Forrester, she likely won’t buy it.

Still, it could be enough to lure her back into the company to see what Brooke is up to. Stranger things have happened on Bold and the Beautiful, but Steffy might see Brooke meant what she said. This might end up as Steffy and Brooke forming a secret partnership to right the wrong of the takeover.

Then another storyline could take off from this point. Brooke would have to betray Hope with her plan. She wants to return the helm of FC to Ridge, Steffy, and Eric Forrester (John McCook), which she stated last week. So, this means Brooke will likely work against Hope. So by wanting the same thing Steffy wants, this could feel like a humongous betrayal to Hope.

Then, with the B&B spoilers suggesting an infatuation for Carter in the works, things could turn out awful for the Logan daughter. Hope could find herself without a man and her mother joining forces with her rival if the tide turns on the CBS soap.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Luna Nozawa Lurks in the Shadows

Bold and the Beautiful has a lurking house guest for Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada). He’s given her strict orders that his home is her safe place. But only if she stays on the estate and no one can ever know that she is there.

So the preview next week has Luna in the shadows watching Bill meet his son’s girlfriend for the first time. Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) drops by with Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace). The preview shows Luna smiling as she hides while watching Bill and his son’s interaction.

Some Bold and the Beautiful fans see a sinister smile on Luna Nozawa’s face. Others see a new free Luna, soaking up the nicer things in life, despite being kept secretly behind the Spencer mansion gates.

Keeping this a secret probably won’t last for long. Luna will likely get bored and want a life like she once had. So, despite that ankle bracelet monitoring her location, she likely finds a way to unfasten it during the night when she should be stationary in bed.

This way, the monitor indicates she’s asleep in her room. But instead, she would be free to wander the town in the shadows. So, B&B fans see something creepy in Luna’s future.

So, it is probably just a matter of time before Luna Nozawa causes Bill Spencer to see the error of his ways on the CBS soap.

Head back to Soap Dirt for the latest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers.

Giovanni Pernice reveals ‘dark times’ over Strictly scandal: ‘Trust me, it wasn’t easy’

Giovanni Pernice has opened up about the Strictly Come Dancing bullying row, revealing that he thought the controversy would mark the end of career.

The Italian dancer left the show earlier this year following complaints from his 2023 partner Amanda Abbington. Amanda claimed she was left suffering from PTSD due to her stint on the show.

Now, Giovanni has looked back on the past twelve months, admitting he went through “dark moments”.

        Giovanni Pernice on Strictly scandal

Giovanni has remained in the headlines over the past year after his 2023 dance partner, Sherlock actor Amanda Abbington, accused him of behaving inappropriately behind the scenes.

As a result, the BBC underwent a long investigation and Giovanni didn’t return to Strictly last year. In the meantime, he appeared on Italy’s edition of the show – and ended up winning it.

In September, the results from the BBC investigation into Amanda Abbington’s allegations saw Giovanni cleared of the most serious claims. These claims included ‘physical aggression’.

However, six allegations relating to verbal bullying and harassment were upheld.

In a recent interview, Giovanni recalled the “dark times” he has faced during the past year.

        Giovanni Pernice reveals ‘dark times’

“I’m not going to lie, there were dark moments in terms of, you know, this is finished, this is the end of my career. That was one of my down moments,” Giovanni told The Mirror.

“Sorry for my language but 2024 can [expletive] off. I’ve been looking forward to seeing the back of it”  the TV star added.

Talking about Amanda’s bombshell claims about him and the show, Giovanni recalled: “Every time she came out with another interview I was always maintaining a calm inside. Trust me, it wasn’t easy, there were dark times.

“But I know what I did – that kept me calm, because I knew the truth from the beginning. I was expecting and waiting that all of this would finish and come back with the results that I wanted it to be.”

        Giovanni’s new girlfriend

In other Giovanni Pernice news, the Strictly dancer is currently loved-up with new girlfriend Bianca Guaccero.

Giovanni and Bianca seemingly made their relationship official on Ballando con le Stelle: the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing. The pair made it all the way to the final, and ended up winning the series.

Giovanni and Bianca share an age gap of nine years. Bianca is now 43. She was previously married to the Italian film director, Dario Acocella, from 2013 to 2017.

What’s more, Giovanni recently dropped a major marriage bombshell, revealing: “If we win the show, I’ll seriously think about it [asking Bianca to marry him].”

Donkey Kong – A famous 80’s game has just got a rather awesome Arcade to ZX Spectrum AY conversion

In the early 80’s Nintendo released one of the most famous games of all time, and that game was ‘ Donkey Kong ‘. A game in which you played as Mario that had to avoid obstacles across a number of platforms, with sometimes a hammer in hand to save a damsel in distress from a giant barrel throwing ape called Donkey Kong. That same game which also appeared as a more recent Arcade to Amiga conversion by JOTD, has just arrived as a pretty incredible Arcade clone to the ZX Spectrum by Artonapilos.

And here’s the latest from the developer. “Amazing clone of DONKEY KONG from arcade machines ported to the Spectrum. Developed by Artonapilos. When you load this game on your Spectrum you will be transported to the arcades of the 80s. Get ready for a trip back in time! This game is part of the definitive collection of arcade games cloned to the Zx Spectrum. They also exist in physical format”.

Gene Roddenberry Stopped Denise Crosby From Getting A Beloved Star Trek Role – SlashFilm

Gene Roddenberry Stopped Denise Crosby From Getting A Beloved Star Trek Role – SlashFilm

We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

A fun piece of trivia, culled from Larry Nemecek’s invaluable sourcebook “The Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion”: the character of Tasha Yar on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” was originally conceived as a Latina character named Lieutenant Macha Hernandez, intended to be the tactical officer on board the Enterprise-D. Lieutenant Hernandez was largely inspired by the military grunt character Vasquez (Jenette Goldstein) from James Cameron’s “Aliens,” a film that was still new at the time. Indeed, Goldstein was briefly considered for the role but was quickly turned down when it was revealed she wasn’t Latina. After some further development, Hernandez was changed to Tanya, then Natasha, then just Tasha Yar after casting had begun. The character went from being a tactical officer to a security chief.

A wide swath of actresses auditioned for the role of Tasha, including Rosalind Chao, Marina Sirtis, Julia Nickson, and Bunty Bailey, who was the woman in the “Take On Me” music video. For a moment, Chao was the frontrunner for the role, although she would eventually be replaced by Denise Crosby, a rising star in Hollywood at the time, and star of “Eliminators.”

As it so happens, Crosby was already on the showrunners’ radar, as she had already auditioned for — and was one of the finalists for — the role of Counselor Deanna Troi, the Enterprise’s empathic psychiatrist. As Trekkies can now tell you, Marina Sirtis — one of the Tasha Yar hopefuls — would be cast in the role of the British-sounding Counselor Troi. Sirtis and Crosby would essentially swap parts.

This swap, it seems, was encouraged by show creator Gene Roddenberry himself. The casting directors looked for actresses to play Yar and Troi at the same time, wanting to make sure the two performers didn’t look alike. Sirtis and Crosby looked good opposite each other, it seems, but Roddenberry felt they should trade parts.

This was confirmed by Crosby herself in a 2012 interview with StarTrek.com.

Denise Crosby and Marina Sirtis traded Star Trek roles

The story of the Roddenberry-mandated Crosby/Sirtis swap was made public at least as long ago as a “Star Trek: The Next Generation” oral history printed in EW in 2007. When talking to StarTrek.com, Crosby was asked by the interviewer if that was merely a widespread rumor, or if it was true. Crosby wasn’t savvy to some of the casting details going on way back in 1986, but she did recall reading for Counselor Troi … and then being asked to read for Tasha Yar. In Crosby’s words:

“As far as I know, that is true. We were in a series of auditions at a certain point and, if I can recall, my agent said, ‘Now they want you to take a look at this character. They’re going to switch you.’ We were still auditioning. I think we had to go in five different times and somewhere, maybe after the third audition, we finally got to [audition for] Gene Roddenberry. I’m sure Marina got the same call, but my agent said, ‘Gene Roddenberry likes you very much, but he wants you to now read this role.’ The next time I went in, it was for Tasha.”

So it does certainly seem that Roddenberry requested Sirtis and Crosby make the trade. In the EW history, Crosby recalled that Troi was initially described as being a “cool, Icelandic blonde. Almost Spock-like.” Sirtis, it should be noted, had dark brown hair, providing a visual “balance” to the blonde Crosby. It’s a small detail, but small visual differences like hair color can indeed be important for casting directors.

Crosby, of course, would eventually leave the show in its first season.

Trekkies may not be able to see anyone in the “Next Generation” roles than the people that were ultimately cast, but a little imagination can produce a world where Crosby plays an intense Spock-like Counselor Troi and Marina Sirtis plays an aggressive security chief. We came close to that world.

Taylor Frankie Paul Reflects On The ‘Highlights’ Of Her ‘Worst Year’

Paul, the leader of MomTok, took to TikTok a few days ago to share the worst parts of her 2024, and then followed that up a few days later with the best parts of what she called her “worst year.”

After sharing the negatives from 2024, Paul decided to reflect on some of the “highlights.”

“I did all the negatives, so we’re gonna go into positives,” she said in her TikTok video. “First comes first is my beautiful baby boy that came. I know a lot of people are like well, you had your baby, it should have been the best year. For a lot of moms, postpartum is usually their worst years, and everyone just has like a different experience, how the mom is just going through a lot of hormonal changes, depression, and it’s more about mental health.”

She continued to talk about her son saying he’s been “such a blessing” in her life, before moving on to another “huge accomplishment” from 2024.

“Another huge accomplishment was our show on Hulu,” she continued. “Hit one of the top rated shows this year. Like, oh this will do decent, but the fact that it hit number one on Hulu the first day, what in the world, what is this? It was mind blowing.”

Taylor Frankie Paul Said Strangers Thanked Her For Sharing Her Story

Thanks to the popularity of the show, Paul has had many people approach her to thank her for sharing her story and for “helping” them in many different ways.

“And that I helped them in ways and to be open to share your story, that was the coolest part for me,” she said. “And I feel like, the thing that’s so cool about people that you fangirl over and watch, that were fangirling over you and said that they loved your show, so that was also really cool.”

It didn’t take long after the reality show was released on Hulu that it was picked up for a second season, “for like 20 episodes.”

“So when I say our lives pretty much changed overnight, for traveling purposes, that they were like, your car is gonna be there at this time, you’re picked up, your hotel’s booked, your driver will be there,” she continued. “A different lifestyle that I was like, what is this?”

She also talked about presenting at the CMA’s, which she called was a “dream come true.”  One other highlight for Paul was meeting her therapist, who she said will be the one who “saves” her.

Taylor Frankie Paul Also Shared A GRWM Video About The ‘Worst’ Parts Of 2024

A few days before her video highlighting some positives from last year, Paul shared a video talking about the “worst” parts of her year.

“I wanna say this was even worse than my 2022, which says a lot,” she said. “With that being said, I’m having trouble deciphering which one was. And I only say that because along with that, I had amazing opportunities come my way.”

She said she wasn’t going to “go into detail of why this was one of the worst years,” because viewers will get to see it “all unravel here this next year.”

“It was a year of a lot of unpacking all these things that had to happen in order for there to be actual change,” she continued. “And I’m not really one to put blame on people for my life. I’m self aware to know what was my part and what could I have done differently. What is a lesson I can take from this experience?”

Paul continued her video sharing that there were both “good things” and “really hard things” throughout her 2024.

“For example, earlier this year, I am so disassociated. We see it in the show, I’m not there. I can’t even watch the show because it’s so hard to watch,” she shared. “And then I finally wanted to start feeling again, so with that, you  have to start feeling a lot of pain and letting things in.”

She said 2022 “was experienced,” 2023 “was lost” and in 2024, she “let the pain in.”  She said she let the pain in all at once, which had her “on bathroom floors, screaming, crying on phone calls, intense therapy.”

“I prayed to God saying you have to help me. And please remember this is not about me complaining about life problems. This is all about mental health,” she continued. “And it doesn’t matter what external things you have in life, because it will never make you happy if you’re not happy inside.”

Many of her fans dropped into the comment sections of her videos to share their support and how they relate to her.

“The comeback is far greater than the setback!! 2025 is your year,” one viewer wrote in the comments about the negative parts of 2024. Another said, “Thank you for including us and showing us how important it is to take accountability but also take care of ourselves as moms.”

Over in the comments of her 2024 highlights, Hulu wrote, “2025 will be your year.” Paul responded, “Our YEAR.”

However, it was announced last year that Rita would not be returning due to joining the panel on the US version. As a result, viewers couldn’t be more pleased with the switch-up.

Ahead of the new series, Maya took to Instagram to share some backstage snapshots. She also expressed how excited she was to be a new addition to the panel.

“Thrilllled to be joining The Masked Singer family,” she wrote. “Felt well official with my notepad, nervous being the newbie but this series is so much fun!”

Series six saw Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, and Mo Gilligan return as detective judges and Joel Dommett as host.

Giant Joel unveiled as Olympic champion

After introducing Giant Joel, a larger-than-life doppelganger of host Joel, during the Christmas special, fans finally found out their real identity at the beginning of the show.

With the panel guessing the likes of Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Jonathan was correct in guessing that it was Olympic champion Mo Farah.

Following their unmasking, they joined the panel for the rest of the episode to try to guess the identities of the new contestants.

With the studio audience voting for their favourite to stay, Spag Bol found themselves voted off first. However, viewers won’t find out who they are until tomorrow (January 5) night’s episode.
