Crypto News: AlphaPepe Stage 12 Nears Sell Out While XRP Price Prediction Targets Following New Clarity Act Victory | Web3Wire

MONACO, April 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AlphaPepe Stage 12 is nearing sell out and the next stage brings another price increase. Capital is entering at a pace that draws direct comparisons to the earliest days of meme coins that went on to deliver life-changing returns to early participants. The crypto news around AlphaPepe is building ahead of a planned Q2 2026 exchange listing, stages are finalizing in days, and wallets are committing serious size as the XRP price prediction shifts toward $10 following a pivotal moment for the CLARITY Act that could redefine how digital assets are classified under federal law.

Before getting into what those wallets see and why they are moving now, the XRP price prediction and the CLARITY Act progress reshaping the regulatory landscape explain why the entire crypto market may be approaching a structural repricing event and why informed capital is already positioned inside this presale.

Crypto News: AlphaPepe Stage 12 Nears Sell Out While the XRP Price Prediction and CLARITY Act Victory Point to $10

The timing of AlphaPepe’s Stage 12 nearing sell out could not land in a more charged crypto news environment. The XRP price prediction has shifted decisively after the CLARITY Act cleared a critical legislative hurdle. The bill would classify XRP as a digital commodity under federal law, giving banks and asset managers the statutory clarity they need to deploy capital at scale. The Senate Banking Committee is targeting a markup in late April with a mid-2026 floor vote, and Galaxy’s Alex Thorn has stated the bill is unlikely to pass in 2026 if it does not clear committee by April, making the next three weeks the most consequential window in XRP’s history.

The XRP price prediction from analysts now reaches as high as $10 if the CLARITY Act passes. Most analysts place the range between $5 and $10 for a post-legislation repricing. Standard Chartered originally set an $8 target contingent on the bill passing, projecting $4 to $8 billion in total XRP ETF inflows. Some projections have gone even further, with one analysis forecasting $15 to $30 based on bank adoption and cross-border settlement volume flowing through the XRP Ledger. At $1.35, reaching $10 represents approximately 640% upside, but every percentage point of that move depends on legislation clearing five separate hurdles on a timeline measured in weeks not quarters.

The institutional positioning behind the XRP price prediction is already visible. XRP led all digital assets in ETF inflows last week, accounting for 53% of the total $224 million that entered crypto funds globally according to CoinDesk. XRP spot ETFs recorded $119.6 million in weekly inflows, the largest since December. Six XRP spot ETFs have now crossed $1 billion in combined assets under management. The ceasefire between the US and Iran added a macro tailwind, sending XRP briefly above $1.38 before consolidating near $1.35. The combination of regulatory momentum and geopolitical de-escalation is creating the exact conditions that have preceded every major XRP repricing in history.

The XRP price prediction targets $10 under optimal conditions. That is approximately 640% upside on a $77 billion market cap asset that requires the CLARITY Act to pass, ETF inflows to scale to $5 billion or more, and macro tailwinds to hold through the legislative process. The wallets that have historically captured the most significant returns in crypto have rarely done so by waiting for a large cap to clear five legislative hurdles on someone else’s timeline. They identified early-stage opportunities where the momentum was already building in the data, and one of the strongest setups available right now is AlphaPepe.

AlphaPepe Stage 12 Nears Sell Out as Capital Positions Ahead of the Next Price Rise

AlphaPepe’s AI-powered decentralized exchange is the reason capital is entering at this pace while XRP holders wait for a Senate vote that may or may not arrive on schedule. The meme coin sector sits at $45 billion but traders still rely on fragmented tools that cannot screen for scam contracts, track whale movements, or execute across chains without friction. AlphaSwap is designed to address all three with AI-driven contract screening, real-time whale tracking, and cross-chain execution on BSC with deployment planned for Q2 2026. The project has completed a full 10/10 BlockSAFU security audit verifying the contract before a single public trade takes place.

Over 7,500 holders have joined so far and AlphaPepe is currently priced at $0.01422 per token. The presale has raised over $800,000 with consistent daily growth in participation even as broader market sentiment remains fragile. Token delivery is instant with no vesting and no claim delay. While XRP requires the CLARITY Act to clear the Senate Banking Committee, survive a floor vote, and reach the President’s desk before the legislative window closes, AlphaPepe’s next catalysts are the exchange listing and AI DEX launch, both measured in weeks. Stage 12 is nearing sell out and the next stage brings a price increase that rewards participants who entered before the transition.

Conclusion

The crypto news around the XRP price prediction targeting $10, the CLARITY Act approaching its most critical legislative window, and institutional capital flowing into XRP ETFs at the fastest pace since December all highlight why the next three weeks could reshape the digital asset landscape. The wallets entering AlphaPepe’s Stage 12 before the next price increase are following the same pattern that has defined every previous cycle. The participants who positioned in early-stage opportunities while the market waited for large-cap catalysts to confirm captured the most significant returns, and those who waited entered at materially higher levels.

Stages close faster every day while each round that fills pushes the entry cost higher. The AlphaPepe official website is where participants evaluating early-stage crypto opportunities ahead of the Q2 2026 exchange listing are entering right now. Stage 12 is nearing sell out and the window at current pricing is closing.

The Illusion of Digital Immortality: Are You Really Uploading Your Mind? | Metaverse Planet

The Illusion of Digital Immortality: Are You Really Uploading Your Mind? | Metaverse Planet

I still can’t stop thinking about that fruit fly experiment.

If you missed it, researchers recently achieved something that sounds like pure science fiction: they mapped the entire brain of a fruit fly. That is roughly 130,000 neurons and 50 million connections, entirely digitized. When I was reading the research paper, I honestly felt a cold chill run down my spine. It’s a monumental leap for science, but it immediately sent my mind spiraling into a rather terrifying rabbit hole.

If scientists can successfully map and digitize 130,000 neurons today, how long is it really going to take until they map our 86 billion? The technology is scaling at a breakneck pace. But as I dig deeper into the mechanics of mind uploading, the real question that scares me isn’t when we will do it, but what exactly we are doing.

If they make a digital twin of my brain, is it really me, or just a highly sophisticated ghost in the machine? Today, I am diving deep into the reality of digital consciousness, and why transferring your mind to a computer might not be the immortality you are hoping for.

The Monumental Gap: From Flies to Human Consciousness

cropped-A-Historic-First-The-Ultimate-Brain-Map-Has-Been-Unlocked-1.webp

Let me put the numbers into perspective, because the sheer scale of the human brain is hard to wrap your head around.

The Fruit Fly: 130,000 neurons. The Mouse: Roughly 71 million neurons. The Human: 86 billion neurons, with over 100 trillion synaptic connections.

To map my brain—every memory of my childhood, the taste of my favorite coffee, the exact way I feel when I listen to a certain song—you wouldn’t just need to take a snapshot of those 86 billion neurons. You would need to capture the exact chemical states, the neurotransmitter levels, and the microscopic electrical impulses firing in real-time.

When I look at the current state of neurotechnology, I realize we are essentially trying to copy an ocean by studying a drop of water. But let’s play devil’s advocate. Let’s assume Moore’s Law holds up, quantum computing matures, and fifty years from now, we have a scanner capable of instantly digitizing human consciousness without destroying the biological brain in the process.

What happens the moment you press “Enter”?

The Copy Problem: You Are Left Behind

The First 24 Hours After Getting a Brain Chip Human 2.0 or Digital Nightmare (4)

Here is the philosophical nightmare that keeps me awake at night. The pop-culture dream of mind uploading—like what we see in Black Mirror or Cyberpunk—often treats consciousness like a file you can just cut and paste into a USB drive.

But biology doesn’t work like a computer directory. You cannot “move” consciousness; you can only copy its structure.

Imagine I walk into a clinic tomorrow, sit in a chair, and have my brain perfectly scanned. The machine boots up, and on the screen in front of me, a digital avatar opens its eyes. It has all my memories. It thinks exactly like me. It even believes it is me.

But I am still sitting in the chair.

My biological eyes are still looking at the screen. I haven’t transferred my soul into the machine; I have simply birthed a perfect clone of my mind at this exact millisecond. If the doctor suddenly told me, “Okay, the upload was successful, now we are going to incinerate your physical body,” I would be absolutely terrified! The original “me” is about to die. The entity living forever in the Metaverse isn’t me—it’s just a backup file convinced it’s the original.

The Divergence: Slowly Becoming a Stranger

Let’s take this a step further. Let’s say my physical body passes away naturally, but my digital twin lives on in a sprawling, limitless Metaverse. At the moment of my death, the digital version of me is a perfect 1-to-1 replica.

But what happens a week later? A year later? A century later?

Our consciousness is completely anchored to our environment and our physical bodies. We think the way we do because we feel hunger, pain, exhaustion, and the warmth of the sun. We are shaped by biological limits.

If my digital twin is suddenly living in a server where it feels no fatigue, can process information a million times faster, and interacts with an entirely virtual world, its experiences will instantly begin to drastically diverge from anything a human could understand.

The loss of biological urgency: Without the fear of death or physical harm, how does my digital twin value time?Infinite memory: If my digital mind never forgets a single detail, how does that change my personality? Forgetting is a crucial mechanism for human emotional survival.Altered perception: How do you experience the Metaverse when you can literally see the code, change your environment with a thought, and communicate via direct data streams?

Within a year, that digital entity would evolve into something completely alien to the original Ugu. It would be a stranger wearing my memories like a vintage suit.

The Hardware of the Soul

I also have to wonder about the physical reality of running a simulated mind. A human brain runs on about 20 watts of power—barely enough to light a dim bulb. Yet, it powers the most complex intelligence in the known universe.

To run a real-time, perfectly accurate simulation of a human brain using current silicon-based architecture would require a massive supercomputer consuming gigawatts of energy. This brings up an uncomfortable realization:

Your “immortality” would be entirely dependent on server maintenance, electricity grids, and corporate funding. What happens if the company hosting your consciousness goes bankrupt? Do they just unplug you? Is a server outage considered murder? The idea of my eternal soul being subject to an “End User License Agreement” makes my stomach turn.

Would I Risk It?

Whenever I look at the rapid advancements in brain-computer interfaces, from Neuralink to these incredible mapping projects, I feel a deep sense of conflict.

The technologist in me is absolutely fascinated. The ability to back up human knowledge, to allow brilliant minds to continue solving problems long after their bodies have failed, is a seductive promise.

But the human in me? I am terrified of the illusion. Transferring your mind to a computer seems less like cheating death and more like building a highly advanced monument to yourself—a monument that talks, thinks, and slowly forgets what it means to be human.

I don’t think I would do it. I think the beauty of the human experience is intrinsically tied to its fragility. We are temporary, and maybe that’s exactly what gives our choices, our loves, and our lives any real meaning.

But that is just my perspective, and I know a lot of people would jump at the chance to live forever in the digital realm. I really want to know where you stand on this. If you had the chance to safely copy your mind into the Metaverse today, knowing the original you would eventually die, would you risk it for digital immortality? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! I read every single one.

Come on, subscribe right now and support me please. We have so much more of the future to explore together.

President Donald Trump berated a reporter on the White House Lawn Saturday … telling her she doesn’t know a darn thing about Iran.

POTUS spoke to several reporters waiting for him outside the White House round 5 PM ET today … and, one asked a question about why the Strait of Hormuz isn’t open yet.

Check out the clip … the prez is clearly unhappy about it — and, he tells her “You know nothing” before asking which outlet she represents.

She says NBC … which he calls “fake news” — before claiming the United States has completely defeated the Iranian navy, sinking more than 150 ships to the bottom of the sea.

Trump goes on to say they have no radar, no air force and their Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead … a complete and total victory for the USA.

To be fair … the Strait of Hormuz still isn’t open — with reports circulating that Iran can’t find the mines it put in the water to close it.

This obviously isn’t the first time Trump has been vicious with a reporter … though it’s certainly not as nasty as when he called a female reporter a “piggy” on Air Force One.

The president’s comment about Iran came while U.S. and Iranian officials in Pakistan discuss a ceasefire to end the conflict which began at the end of February.

Vice President J.D. Vance is leading the American delegation … and NBC News reported around 4:30 PM PT the talks have reached 15 straight hours in Islamabad.

Despite the ceasefire talks between the U.S. and Iran, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his country’s campaign against Iran isn’t over by any means.

Shaquille O’Neal Spicy DMs to Sabrina Carpenter: Real or Fake?

Shaquille O’Neal Spicy DMs to Sabrina Carpenter: Real or Fake?

      Reading Time: 3 minutes

Shaquille O’Neal is a basketball legend and a beloved figure with a complex relationship history.

Sabrina Carpenter is a famously gorgeous singer and a total success in her own right.

Did Shaq get caught sliding into her DMs with some wildly raunchy messages?

What did she say in return? Was it really them, or catfishing, or what?

Shaquille O'Neill on The Big Podcast.

Did Shaq really slide into her DMs?

On a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal spoke to Jim Jones about a headline purporting to show his spicy DMs to music’s shortest superstar.

Jones read the headline: “Shaq exposed for shooting his shot at Sabrina Carpenter.”

The article purports to contain leaked DMs that the famous athlete sent to the teeny-tiny singer.

At Jones’ prompting, the basketball legend read aloud the messages.

Be warned: these are humorous, but decidedly NSFW in places. Continue at your own risk.

Still with us? Good. Let’s see if you’ll regret it.

“Damn, baby I would keep your farts in a cologne bottle and spray it on me every day,” O’Neal read aloud from one of the supposed messages.

He continued: “Just jokes. I’m Shaqs. What’s your name baby?”

O’Neil narrated: “And Sabrina says, ‘I know who you are. You’re way too famous to be sending me messages like that.’”

Finally, he read his alleged reply: “Shaq, ‘I can’t be horny and want some of that snow bunny kitty for myself. You’re being rude for no reason. You can’t handle Big Diesel any way. …”

Those messages can’t be real, right?

Shaquille O’Neal cleared things up, just in case anyone had any doubt.

He did not, in fact, DM Sabrina Carpenter with those — or any other messages.

And he also didn’t send those messages to anyone else.

Additionally, O’Neal wanted to set the record straight on how he’d never send anything so cringe and awkward.

“First of all ladies, the Diesel got way more game than that, I’m just saying,” he quipped.

We do believe that Shaquille O’Neal has more game than that.

Additionally, we’re sure that Sabrina Carpenter has gotten much weirder messages.

She’s attractive and, for some reason, her mere existence seems to infuriate some men.

It’s good that O’Neal isn’t bombarding her with weird sexual overtures.

Age differences aside, that would just be really embarrassing for him.

Okay but … can you imagine?

We’re glad that these goofy messages weren’t from Shaq … but what if he and Sabrina somehow got together?

This isn’t about their age gap or dramatic height gap.

We’re thinking more about the breakup.

Some of Sabrina’s best music is about her exes.

Can you imagine what the music would be like if she were singing about Shaq? Anyway, back to reality. …

1: The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)

Following 1993’s poorly received live-action Super Mario Bros. Movie starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo, many wondered if Nintendo would ever again attempt to make a Mario movie. Well, 30 years later, the company partnered with Minions studio Illumination to do just that–and the movie is off to a fantastic start. Released on April 5, 2023 the movie quickly earned $377 million worldwide over its first five days and rapidly cleared more than $500 million. It’s now earned more than $1.3 billion.

      6: Warcraft (2016)

Legendary and Blizzard teamed up to make a Warcraft movie back in 2016, but development began much earlier and went through several changes before it was released. At one point, Spider-Man’s Sam Raimi was attached to direct, but he dropped out due to the working conditions with Blizzard. Moon and Source Code director Duncan Jones, the son of David Bowie, eventually signed on to direct the fantasy film. It bombed in the US but did massive numbers internationally to pull in $439 million worldwide, putting it at the top of the charts. Jones said he had plans for a trilogy, but the poor box office performance in the US means that will likely never happen.

      Domestic – $47,365,290International – $391,683,624Worldwide – $439,048,914

      7: Rampage (2018)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson starred in 2018’s Rampage, an adaptation of the classic video game in which The Rock plays a primatologist who works with a supersized gorilla to fight other massive monsters. 8: Uncharted (2022)

Sony’s Uncharted film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, blasted off in February 2022 to bigtime box office numbers. It had a huge $44 million opening weekend in the US, and has to date earned more than $400 million globally. That’s good enough for Sony Pictures CEO Tom Rothman to call Uncharted Sony’s next big franchise, suggesting a sequel may be on the way. Director Ruben Fleischer has said he’s game for a sequel and has even outlined some of his ideas for a follow-up, including putting Uncharted 4’s epic car chase set piece into a potential Uncharted 2.

      Domestic – $148,648,820International – $258,492,438Worldwide – $407,141,258

      9: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 released in April 2022 and has become a quick success. It recently surpassed the 2020 original Sonic film to become the highest-grossing video game movie of all time in the US.

Globally, it’s not as high on the charts, but it’s still performing well enough to become one of the highest-grossing video game movies ever. Unsurprisingly, plans are in motion for a Sonic movie cinematic universe, which will include Sonic 3 and a Knuckles TV series.

      Domestic — $190,872,904International — $214,548,614Worldwide — $405,421,518

10: The Angry Birds Movie (2016)

Rovio’s Angry Birds is one of the best-known mobile games of all time, so it was no surprise that it became a movie. Sony Pictures produced the animated film, which boasted an all-star voice cast that featured Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Sean Penn, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage. The screenplay was written by The Simpsons veteran Jon Vitti, and the film was directed by Disney animation veterans Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly. A sequel was released in 2019, but it performed considerably worse, bringing in about $148 million.

      Domestic – $107,509,366International – $244,824,563Worldwide – $352,333,929

11: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010)

Disney produced 2010’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan. The rest of the cast included Ben Kingsley, Alfred Molina, Gemma Artertron, and Toby Kebbel. The movie, which is based on Ubisoft’s popular series, was directed by Mike Newell, who previously directed Four Weddings and Funeral as well as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Similar to Warcraft, it made the bulk of its money from foreign markets, pulling in $245.6 million, or 73% of its worldwide total ($336.4 million), from markets outside the US.

      Domestic – $90,759,676International – $245,606,000Worldwide – $336,365,676

      12: Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)

After controversies surrounding its character models being… not so good, the Sonic the Hedgehog came to the big screen in 2020 and was generally well-received and made a lot of money. The film features Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, with Jim Carrey playing the evil Dr. Robotnik. The success of the film led Paramount to quickly greenlight a sequel, which comes to theaters in April, featuring Knuckles and Tails, in addition to the returning cast.

Megan Fox ‘Leaving Money On The Table’ As Experts Warn Sultry Instagram Pics Are Costing Her A Fortune

Megan Fox ‘Leaving Money On The Table’ As Experts Warn Sultry Instagram Pics Are Costing Her A Fortune

Megan Fox recently returned to Instagram and has been posting sizzling photos of herself, but industry experts are saying she’s losing so much money doing so for free.

A branding expert claims that from a PR point of view, the actress is maintaining her relevance as people still get to see her often, but from a business standpoint, she is “wasting” money.

Megan Fox has previously commented about her unwillingness to share her sexy snaps behind a paywall platform like OnlyFans because of her children.

        MEGA

Megan Fox has always been a diva, racking up almost 25 million followers on Instagram, where she shares very sizzling and suggestive snaps of herself.

She took a break from the popular media sharing platform following her split from former partner Machine Gun Kelly and the birth of their daughter, Saga Blade Fox-Baker.

However, she has since returned with a bang, sharing very sexy photos of herself and racking up millions of views in the process.

In a viral photo, the “Transformers” actress posed on the bed with a very short plaid skirt that showed off her black underwear.

A video she posted also garnered more than 50 million views within a short while, with several million “likes” and comments. Due to the massive attention she has been getting online, several adult industry sources have raised questions over how the movie star is losing a lot of money by posting those photos for free.

Adult content creator Addyson James told the Daily Mail that Fox could be making millions of dollars with her global audience and large following, like other celebrities who have launched their OnlyFans accounts.

“I built my OnlyFans from the ground up, so I know firsthand how hard it is to grow a real following,” James said.

“But celebrities can step in and make more money almost instantly just off their name. Someone like Megan Fox could realistically make over $10million a month on OnlyFans just based on her global reach,” she continued.

James added that celebrities like Fox already have the eyeballs, thus putting their earning potential “at a completely different level,” adding that the game is not necessarily about who works harder but “who has the attention.”

Branding expert Brian Scott Gross also weighed in on the issue, telling the news outlet that Fox’s continuous use of Instagram is good for her brand as it keeps her relevant.

However, from a business standpoint, the famous actress is said to be “leaving money on the table.”

“When a global star like Megan Fox posts this kind of content for free, she isn’t just ‘wasting’ money; she’s essentially giving away the crown jewels of her digital real estate,” the expert stated.

The Actress’s Sultry Instagram Posts Were Branded A ‘Massive, Unpaid Marketing Campaign’

Drawing examples from successful OnlyFans celebrities like Bhad Bhabie and Iggy Azalea, the expert further noted that Fox is on another level and making 8 figures shouldn’t be a problem for her.

“Megan is on an even more iconic tier of celebrity, having starred in massive film franchises. The Instagram posts act as a massive, unpaid marketing campaign for a product she isn’t selling yet,” Gross explained.

“From a PR standpoint, she’s maintaining her relevance and keeping her ‘heat’ high, but from a business standpoint, she’s providing the milk for free,” the expert added.

Megan Fox Previously Vowed Not To Pose Nude

Posting sultry photos may be a thing for Fox, but posing nude and putting it up for sale seems to be a line the “Subservience” actress isn’t willing to cross.

In an interview with Fox News, the mother of four vowed not to pose nude or put up any graphic scenes because of her children.

“There are some good projects I’ve read that are with talented people, talented directors, but the things the women are required to do in the movie are things I can’t have my sons ever know or see,” she said at the time.

“I was offered a project that’s coming out on HBO that centers around the life of a prostitute, and it has very graphic sex scenes — things you would see in a pornographic film — and those are things that are degrading to the woman who’s playing the character,” she continued.

Fox added, “I don’t think my children should ever see me doing some of that stuff. I don’t think my boys could handle that.”

Karl Urban Wants To Star In A Red Dead Redemption Film

Karl Urban Wants To Star In A Red Dead Redemption Film

It’s a testament if your career kicks off with Lord of the Rings and only gets dorkier from there. New Zealand actor Karl Urban has stepped into starring gigs in Star Trek, Judge Dredd, The Boys and in short time Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat. But there’s one more feather Urban would like in his cap. It happens to be a video game character whose cap already has a feather in it: John Marston.

In an interview with Square Mile magazine, the actor said if he had his choice of any video game adaptation, it would be as John Marston in Red Dead Redemption. “I’d love to play that character,” said Urban. “Red Dead is a fantastic game. It’s interesting because I didn’t really have too much of an opportunity to get that heavily invested in the gaming culture… when I did get the rare opportunity, Red Dead was certainly one of the games that spoke to me.”

It goes without saying that Urban wanting to star in a Red Dead Redemption film does not mean an adaptation of the 2010 classic is in the pipeline. In fact, Rockstar seems to be one of the few major developers not chasing cross-media expansion (though they may have their hands full with Grand Theft Auto VI). Still, stranger things have happened than making a little wish. Kirsten Dunst was recently added to the cast of Minecraft 2 after telling Town & Country it was her dream role a year prior. Albeit because she wanted to “make a movie where I don’t lose money.”

The final season of The Boys began earlier this week. Urban will also be putting on Johnny Cage’s shades in Mortal Kombat II when it comes out in May. He told Square Mile to expect a slightly more humble rendition of the character, if only because Cage is left baggy a deflated ego. “He is a man that the world has forgotten about,” said Urban. “To me, that was really fertile ground to launch the character into. That gives me somewhere to go as an actor.”

Britain’s Got Talent fans upset as Joan Thomas misses out on Golden Buzzer

Britain’s Got Talent offered a range of acts this week, but it was Joan Thomas’ emotional performance that left viewers questioning the judges’ decision not to award her the Golden Buzzer.

Joan, who appeared visibly emotional from the moment she stepped onto the stage, managed to overcome her nerves as she delivered a heartfelt rendition of Pie Jesu.

The 56-year-old breast clinic nurse quickly captivated both the audience and judges, many of whom appeared close to tears as she sang.

She wasn’t the only one feeling emotional, as viewers at home also admitted they were deeply moved by her performance. Despite the powerful reaction in the room and beyond, Joan was not given a Golden Buzzer, which would have sent her straight through to the live semi-finals.

Britain’s Got Talent star Joan Thomas impresses judges

It had initially been unclear whether Joan would be able to perform through her nerves. When asked before taking to the stage whether she believed she could win the competition, she admitted she was too emotional to answer the question.

Meanwhile, her family sat in the audience, visibly emotional themselves as they hoped for a positive outcome.

However, once she began singing, any doubts quickly faded as her voice filled the auditorium, leaving the room in near silence.

Following the performance, the judges were quick to praise her. Alesha told Joan that her audition felt “very pure”, while Simon described it as a “great audition” that was “beautifully sung”. KSI also shared his admiration, telling Joan that she should be incredibly proud of herself, adding that her family should be proud too.

Despite the glowing feedback, fans were left confused that such a performance did not earn a Golden Buzzer moment.

Fans upset she didn’t receive Golden Buzzer

Further praise came from viewers who commended Joan’s ability to hold attention with nothing more than her voice, calling it a truly special moment in the show.

As the show continued, those suspicions proved correct when Amanda Holden later awarded the Golden Buzzer to dance group World Wings. While the group impressed in their own right, the decision sparked debate among fans, with many insisting Joan had been more deserving of the coveted moment.

One wrote: “You could hear a pin drop. The whole auditorium fell silent during that performance.”

Another said: “All emotional now as we played this at my Mother’s funeral in February 2020.”

“I got chills listening to Joan. Stunning,” wrote a third.

A fourth penned: “Joan, that was a beautiful and grounding vocal performance. You’ve a gift if you can captivate people with nothing but your voice, and you did that. Well done my lovely.”

While someone else asked: “Hang on. No Golden Buzzer for Joan?”

And a second agreed: “Bet you any money they give the golden buzzer to a rubbish choir rather than to Joan who absolutely smashed that and deserved it.”

Christy’s love of scotch eggs divides fans

The episode as a whole featured a wide mix of talent, with performances from the Glantaff Boys choir, Rebecca Ryan, Darren Tait, James Phelan, Tracy Graham, Simon Ratzker and Joan Thomas herself. Viewers also saw KSI get roasted by Ren DMC, alongside performances from comedian Christy Coysh and 12-year-old Juan Carlos.

Christy Coysh’s scotch egg song quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the night. The comedian, who has built a following on TikTok for his humorous songs, performed an original track dedicated entirely to the snack.

He later admitted he didn’t understand the performance and revealed he doesn’t even like scotch eggs, which led to boos from the audience.

Despite KSI refusing to give his approval, Christy still received enough support from the other judges to make it through to the next round.

The Art & Anatomy of Handsewn Buttonholes – University of Fashion Blog

The Art & Anatomy of Handsewn Buttonholes – University of Fashion Blog

University of Fashion’s 3-part series on creating handsewn buttonholes. (Image credit: University of Fashion)

Fashion has its own language—and nowhere is that more delightfully apparent than in the art of handsewn buttonholes. If you’ve ever felt that couture insiders are speaking in code when they discuss their sewing tools, consider this your glossary moment. Better yet, Andrew Curwen’s handsewn buttonhole video series serves as your guide, translating each term into a skill you can master with confidence.

Creating a truly refined handsewn buttonhole begins with a carefully selected toolkit: polyester thread for basting, silk buttonhole twist, gimp, hymo, a #7 sharps needle, and an open-top thimble. Each element plays a distinct role in achieving that crisp, elevated finish.

Buttonhole TwistThis is the star of the process—the thread used to form the dense blanket stitches that define the buttonhole’s edge. Strong, smooth, and slightly lustrous, silk buttonhole twist is the couture standard. Whether you choose a matching shade for subtlety or a contrasting color for emphasis, this thread carries both the structure and the visual impact.

GimpGimp is a thicker thread that sits beneath the buttonhole stitches, giving them dimension and a beautifully raised profile. While finding an exact color match can be challenging, Andrew Curwen offers an ingenious solution in his three-part series: a method for creating perfectly matched gimp, ensuring both precision and polish.

HymoHymo is a hair canvas interfacing that provides essential internal support. Available in various weights and in both fusible and non-fusible options, it reinforces the fabric layers, helping the buttonhole maintain its shape and durability over time.

#7 Sharps NeedleSharps are versatile hand-sewing needles with a sharp point and a round eye, available in sizes 1 through 12. For buttonholes, a size 7 strikes the ideal balance—fine enough for precise, tight stitches, yet sturdy enough to handle multiple layers.

Open-Top ThimbleAn open-top metal thimble protects your finger while allowing greater sensitivity and control. It helps push the needle cleanly through the fabric, making it an essential tool for the repetitive, controlled motions required in buttonhole work.

          The Process

images of the handsewn buttonhole-making processThe steps for making a Straight Handsewn Buttonhole: 1) baste & mark the buttonhole before slitting the buttonhole opening, 2) Twist silk buttonhole thread to create gimp, 3)   baste gimp to slit, 4) blanket-stitching the buttonhole, 5) bar tacking one edge, 6) finished buttonhole.

Mastering handsewn buttonholes is as much about understanding your tools as it is about technique. With the right materials—and expert guidance from Andrew Curwen—you can transform what seems like a meticulous detail into a signature mark of craftsmanship. In the end, these small, deliberate stitches speak volumes, elevating a garment from simply made to truly exceptional.

Ethereum Treasury Firm Ether Machine Ends $1.6B SPAC Deal With Dynamix

Ethereum Treasury Firm Ether Machine Ends .6B SPAC Deal With Dynamix

          Key Highlights

The Ether Machine and Dynamix Corporation have mutually terminated their $1.6 billion SPAC merger, canceling plans to list on Nasdaq under ETHM.

A $50 million break-up fee will be paid to Dynamix, which now has until November 2026 to secure a new business combination.

Weak crypto market conditions and collapsing treasury company premiums have stalled what was once seen as Ethereum’s answer to Strategy.

The Ether Machine’s much-hyped journey to Nasdaq has hit a wall. In a fresh 8-K filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 10, Dynamix Corporation officially confirmed that it has mutually agreed with The Ether Machine, Inc. to terminate their proposed business combination, pulling the plug on what was set to become one of the largest publicly traded Ethereum treasury vehicles in the United States.

The two firms had originally inked the Business Combination Agreement on July 21, 2025, with plans to take The Ether Machine public via Dynamix’s SPAC shell, listing on Nasdaq under the ticker ETHM. The deal was valued at roughly $1.6 billion at announcement and was being positioned as Ethereum’s answer to Michael Saylor’s Strategy.

A clean break, with a $50 million cheque

According to the filing, the termination is mutual and amicable. The agreement wipes out the Business Combination Agreement, the Sponsor Support Agreement, the ETHM Subscription Agreements, and the Contribution Agreement in one shot. Both parties have signed mutual releases covering all known and unknown claims, along with a covenant not to sue and a mutual non-disparagement clause.

But walking away isn’t free. The filing reveals that a “Payor” named in the agreement is required to pay Dynamix $50 million within 15 days of the effective date, essentially a break-up fee that keeps the SPAC’s trust whole while it scouts for a new target.

Dynamix now has until November 22, 2026, to lock in a new business combination. If it can’t, the Cayman Islands-incorporated SPAC will wind down, redeem its public shares from the trust account, and dissolve.

          Market conditions killed the vibe

In a statement posted on its official X handle, The Ether Machine cited unfavourable market conditions as the reason for calling things off, the same excuse that has become the standard refrain across the crypto treasury space in 2026.

And the timing tells the whole story. The digital asset treasury trade, which exploded in popularity through 2024 and most of 2025 as companies raced to copy Strategy’s bitcoin playbook, has cooled sharply this year. ETH has struggled to hold momentum, and several copycat treasury vehicles have watched their mNAV premiums collapse to par or even below, making fresh PIPE raises a brutal sell.

The Ether Machine, backed by ConsenSys co-founder Andrew Keys, was supposed to be the institutional flagship of the ETH treasury movement, holding a massive ether stack and running staking and DeFi strategies on behalf of public shareholders. The pitch was clean, the backers were heavyweight, but the market window slammed shut faster than anyone expected.

          What happens next

This marks the second high-profile crypto SPAC unwind in recent months and a sharp reminder that the treasury company gold rush is no longer the easy bid it was last cycle. Investors who piled into ETHM units on the merger announcement are now holding paper in a SPAC hunting for a new target with a shrinking runway.

Whether The Ether Machine attempts another route to the public markets, perhaps a traditional IPO or a direct listing once conditions improve, remains to be seen. For now, Andrew Keys and his team are back at the drawing board.
