Kanye West Flees To Tokyo Following Online Outbursts

After a turbulent week marked by explosive online rants and mounting backlash, Kanye West has reportedly jetted off to Tokyo in search of peace and clarity.

As The Blast reported, one of several Kanye West incidents making headlines this week involved an alleged text exchange in which he threatened to go “to war” with Kim Kardashian after discovering that she holds the trademark rights to their daughter North’s name.

Now, sources tell TMZ that the 46-year-old rapper flew to Japan late last week to decompress, following a string of offensive and controversial posts on social media that stirred tensions with everyone from music industry giants to his own family.

They were informed the moment Kanye landed in Tokyo, he noticeably calmed down.

While Los Angeles, the heart of the entertainment industry, is often a “trigger” for the artist, Tokyo is considered something of a sanctuary. According to insiders, being in Japan gives Kanye a sense of disconnection from the chaos, allowing him to center himself.

It remains unclear whether his wife, Bianca Censori, joined him on the trip. What is known, however, is that she had been staying at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood for several days leading up to the weekend, but was no longer listed as a guest as of Monday morning.

Kanye’s latest social media firestorm included inflammatory accusations aimed at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, alleging she was “sex-trafficking” their daughter North due to her appearance in an FKA Twigs song. The claim was swiftly dismissed by sources close to Kim, who reportedly found the accusations “laughable,” especially given Kanye’s own decision to feature North on one of his new tracks, alongside music mogul Diddy.

Sources close to Kim Kardashian also say she and her children are deeply concerned about his mental state and are beginning to reevaluate their relationship with him entirely.

According to Page Six, the reality star and her four children, North, 10, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 4, are “terrified” as they witness what appears to be West “sinking further down” into a period of mental health struggles.

“He’s obviously not taking his meds, if he was, we wouldn’t be here,” a source told the outlet, referencing the rapper’s previous diagnoses of bipolar disorder and autism. “It’s not getting any better, he’s not a well person, he’s sinking further down and he’s not acting rationally. There’s so much negativity, I don’t think he can come out of this.”

The latest incident to shake Kardashian’s trust came when she abruptly canceled a planned visit for daughter North after learning West would be spending time with Andrew and Tristan Tate, two brothers known for their misogynistic views and ongoing legal troubles.

West also sparked backlash with a since-deleted post on X, in which he appeared to question the mental capacity of power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins, Rumi and Sir. In a separate post, he criticized Jay-Z for skipping his wedding to Kim Kardashian, claiming that the “99 Problems” rapper and his wife failed to support him during his custody battle with Kardashian.

With mounting concerns over West’s mental health, insiders say Kardashian is reconsidering their custody arrangement, especially if his behavior continues to spiral unchecked.

As public scrutiny of West intensifies, Kardashian has largely remained silent, choosing instead to protect her children from the fallout. But behind the scenes, sources say the family is on edge.

“Kim’s trying to do what’s best for the kids,” the insider shared. “But she’s scared. They all are.”

Whether Kanye’s Tokyo retreat brings a lasting sense of peace remains to be seen, but for now, Ye appears to be distancing himself, literally, from the storm he created back home.

How to Get the Torch in Atomfall

The quarantine zone is a merciless place where you will have a constant threat of getting attacked by various factions. Despite the threat, you never stop looking for the essential items, especially the tools. One of the three core tools in the game is a Torch. It helps you navigate in the dark bunkers and find any hidden resource in the darkness. In this guide, we will tell you how you can get the torch in Atomfall.

How to Get the Torch in Atomfall

There are multiple ways through which you get a Torch in Atomfall. The quickest and easiest way to get the Torch is to find it in a house at the very first Outlaw camp. From the point where you exit from the initial bunker, follow the road to reach an Outlaw camp. Instead of going from the front, go up the hill and follow the path to come across a staircase on the left.

TIP: If you go past the staircase, you will reach a stream where you find a dead body. The dead body has a Metal Detector on it.

As you come down the staircase, you will see several houses. The house you need to go in is the first one on the right from the staircase. Furthermore, there will be a broken truck right outside the house. After finding the house, enter inside through the door or jump through the window on the right.

As you get inside the house, go to the back end of the first floor and you will see a torch on top of a wooden platform, next to shelves. You can also pick up a Molotov Cocktail from the shelves. After picking up the torch, you can equip it by pressing the Triangle (PS5) button. Press the R2 button to turn it on/off.

Other ways to Get the Torch in Atomfall

Here are some of the other ways to get the torch in Atomfall.

You can find it on a dead body in Bunker L7.

When you first enter the Interchange, you can pick it up from the ground.

Barter it from various traders across the quarantine zone.

That is all related to how to find the Torch early in Atomfall.

5.5M in the Bank, 10 CEX Listings Coming Soon—BlockDAG’s Breakout Inevitable? LTC’s Price Declines & PEPE Recovers

    In Brief

See why BlockDAG’s breakout looks inevitable as presale surges to $205.5M, now on its way to $600M. Analyze the 12% LTC’s price decline as PEPE’s price shows signs of recovery.

5.5M in the Bank, 10 CEX Listings Coming Soon—BlockDAG’s Breakout Inevitable? LTC’s Price Declines & PEPE Recovers

The recent Litecoin (LTC) price decline continues to raise concerns, dropping 12% in the past week, leaving investors wondering if the altcoin can keep up in a world of faster, more scalable competitors. Meanwhile, the Pepe (PEPE) price has rebounded,  leading the memecoin pack as traders pile into speculative plays after upbeat macro news.

In presale news, BlockDAG (BDAG) is quickly becoming the next crypto to explode, already racking up $205.5 million and drawing in a massive developer army of 10,000+. Plus, with 10 CEX listings and a mainnet launch coming soon, analysts now consider BDAG as the next crypto to explode!

Major Litcoin Price Decline Casts Doubts on LTC’s Relevance

The recent Litecoin (LTC) price decline has been a major concern, with the asset dropping 12% in the last week. Once considered a reliable payment-focused cryptocurrency, Litecoin now faces challenges in retaining relevance. This LTC price decline is linked to reduced network activity and competition from other Layer-2 solutions that offer similar benefits, but with broader adoption.

Some investors had hoped that Litecoin’s halving event earlier this year would provide support, but instead, it led to further selling pressure. Regulatory concerns and macroeconomic uncertainty have added to the selling trend. Unless Litecoin finds a way to regain traction in the broader crypto space, this ongoing Litecoin price could escalate to full-blown price bloodshed, prompting investors to explore newer projects with stronger utility.

Pepe Price Surge Draws Trader Interest as Market Rebounds

Pepe price has been making headlines after outperforming other top-tier memecoins during the latest market recovery. The recent surge saw Pepe’s price reach $0.00007, fueled by renewed interest in speculative assets following favorable US inflation data. Traders have been drawn to memecoins, with Pepe’s price showing the highest percentage gain among its peers.

Analysts suggest that if Pepe’s price maintains support above $0.00000707, a push toward $0.00000800 could be possible. However, resistance at $0.00000760 remains a hurdle. Whether Pepe’s price continues upward or faces a pullback will depend on broader market sentiment and trading volume.

Mainnet & CEX Listings Incoming: Is BlockDAG the Next Crypto to Explode?

BlockDAG (BDAG) is proving to be an unstoppable force in the crypto space, consistently outperforming expectations and showing no signs of slowing down. With its presale numbers soaring, major partnerships fueling development, and a highly anticipated mainnet launch coming later this year, BDAG is gearing up for a whirlwind breakout.

The project’s crypto presale success has been nothing short of remarkable, already securing over $205.5 million, selling a staggering 18.8 billion BDAG, and bringing 170K+ unique holders on board. Early coin buyers have seen a 2,380% ROI, a figure that continues to climb as trader interest surges. Currently priced at $0.0248 in batch 27, BDAG remains in high demand as it moves steadily toward its ambitious $600 million presale goal. And this is all before its mainnet has even gone live.

Beyond its financial milestones, BlockDAG is attracting significant developer interest, a crucial factor in its long-term success. More than 10,000 developers are onboarding, working on over 200 decentralized applications (dApps) under BlockDAG’s collaboration with HackerEarth. That kind of talent surge doesn’t happen by accident—it’s a sign that BlockDAG is here for the long haul.

And if that wasn’t enough, 10 upcoming CEX listings are about to take liquidity and accessibility to the next level. Unlike projects that experience short-lived hype only to fade into obscurity, BlockDAG just keeps stacking wins. The bottom line is this: BlockDAG’s momentum is real, and the window to get in before its inevitable breakout is closing fast. New traders are already rushing in so they don’t miss a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Which Is the Next Crypto to Explode?

To sum up, the market continues to send mixed signals—some assets are struggling, while others are making a comeback. The Litecoin price decline of 12% has raised concerns about its relevance in an increasingly competitive space. On the other hand, Pepe’s next surge relies on its ability to maintain support above $0.00000707.

While older projects fight to stay relevant, new players are taking center stage. BlockDAG is shaping up to be the next crypto to explode, having already raised $205.5 million in presale with serious developer firepower behind it. As the project moves toward its $600 million goal, early backers are taking their positions before BDAG’s 2025 breakout arrives.

    About Particle Network

Particle Network (PARTI) is a modular Layer-1 blockchain designed to address the fragmentation of users, liquidity, and interactions across multiple blockchains in the Web3 ecosystem. It aims to simplify the user experience and enhance interoperability through a concept called “chain abstraction.”

    Learn more: BNB Price Prediction

At its core, Particle Network introduces Universal Accounts, which allow users to have a single address and balance that works seamlessly across all supported blockchains, eliminating the need to manage separate wallets or gas tokens for each chain.

The platform leverages a modular architecture built with the Cosmos SDK, outsourcing tasks like validation and data availability to specialized ecosystem partners (e.g., Celestia, Babylon). It also implements dual staking—combining Proof-of-Stake with Bitcoin’s economic security—and supports both EVM-compatible and non-EVM chains, including Bitcoin.

Vanessa Feltz fired back at a viewer live on air during the first episode of her new self-titled daytime chat show.

Today (March 24), the 63-year-old presenter launched her Channel 5 show, which featured former Corrie star Helen Flanagan and friend Lizzie Cundy as guests.

Despite Vanessa’s long-lasting career in television and broadcasting, it seems not everyone is a fan of her new venture…

Vanessa Feltz fires back at daytime show backlash

Halfway through the first episode, Vanessa, who left This Morning after 33 years for her own show, read some comments from viewers at home, some of which included messages from her grandchildren.

However, one person named James Martin didn’t hold back and said exactly how he felt. Despite not being in favour of Vanessa, it didn’t stop her from reading his message out loud.

“James Martin says, ‘I would rather someone scooped my eyes out with a spoon,’” she said.

No stranger to telling it how it is, Vanessa immediately fired back: “It turns out we actually have a spoon here, which I’m going to send to you, and you can personally scoop out your eyes with it, James. We’re going to post it to you right now.”

What Is ZetaChain? A Complete Guide to the Universal Blockchain | NFT News Today

What Is ZetaChain? A Complete Guide to the Universal Blockchain | NFT News Today

The Web3 landscape spans countless blockchains, tokens, and ecosystems. Amid all this complexity, ZetaChain offers a universal platform that aims to simplify cross-chain transactions and development.

By positioning itself as a “Universal Blockchain,” ZetaChain removes often cumbersome steps and sidesteps third-party trust, letting you move assets across networks like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Whether you are a dev looking to build next-generation dApps or a crypto user looking for an easier way to engage with more than one blockchain, ZetaChain is set to be a one-stop shop.

      Understanding the “Universal Blockchain” Idea

Blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum serve different purposes, but they typically don’t work together all that well. You might have tried to send tokens from one chain to another and ended up navigating multiple steps and platforms.

With a universal blockchain, these frustrations go away. The goal is to remove the roadblocks between networks so you can send assets and data in a more direct, secure way.

Cross-chain compatibility – Rather than limiting you to a single chain, universal blockchains let you move assets anywhere they’re supported.

Native asset representation – Instead of wrapping tokens or swapping them for placeholders, assets show up on the destination chain as if they truly belong there.

Improved security – Because there’s no reliance on traditional “bridges,” it can be harder for bad actors to exploit cross-chain transactions.

Easier user experience – You can transact without needing to understand complicated bridging systems or manage multiple token standards.

      What Makes ZetaChain Different?

Launched in 2023, ZetaChain aims to solve one of crypto’s biggest challenges: interoperability. Over the years, we’ve seen major networks rise in popularity—Ethereum for smart contracts, Bitcoin for secure value storage, Solana for high-speed transactions, and so forth. But connecting these networks usually requires jumping through hoops. ZetaChain tackles that head-on by acting as a universal Layer-1 (L1) platform.

ZetaChain has already surpassed 4 million unique wallet connections and processed over 170 million transactions (over 1.3 million cross-chain transactions) across 290 integrated dApps.

      Source Zeta Scan

A Quick Breakdown of ZetaChain’s Key Advantages

      Omnichain Smart Contracts

If you’re a developer, picture writing one set of smart contracts that works across different networks all at once—even on blockchains like Bitcoin that aren’t typically smart-contract enabled. That’s what ZetaChain lets you do so that you can tap into the power of multiple blockchains from one place.

      No Wrapping or Bridging

Since assets move in their native form, you won’t have to hassle with external bridges or deal with “wrapped” tokens. This not only makes cross-chain transactions smoother and quicker, but it also lowers the risk of hacks or exploits associated with traditional bridging methods.

      ZetaCore

Think of the ZetaCore as the “brain” behind ZetaChain. It orchestrates all the message passing and transaction logic among the various blockchains hooked into the network. In plain terms, one piece of code can connect to multiple blockchains simultaneously—cutting out a lot of the complexity for developers and giving users a smoother overall experience.

      Digging Deeper: Architecture and Security

Security is often the biggest concern when it comes to cross-chain transfers. ZetaChain takes a unique approach by combining a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) system with a network of “observers.” These observers watch transactions on different chains so that ZetaChain contracts can read and write data directly to those networks.

Validators: They stake the network’s native token, ZETA, to validate transactions and produce new blocks on ZetaChain.

Observers: These nodes monitor external chains (like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana) to relay accurate data back to the ZetaCore Module.

Because there isn’t a separate “bridge” you have to trust, the entire cross-chain experience feels more like a single environment rather than a patchwork of connected platforms.

      The ZETA Token

Blockchains have native tokens, and in ZetaChain’s case, it’s ZETA. While it works as a way to pay gas fees, it also serves a few other roles:

Staking: Validators stake ZETA to secure the network and earn rewards.

Cross-Chain Transactions: ZETA is used to facilitate asset transfers and swaps in ZetaChain’s ecosystem.

Chain Governance: As ZetaChain evolves, ZETA holders may have a say in governance decisions.

      Major Milestones & Collaborations

      Alibaba Cloud as a Validator

One of the biggest news stories for ZetaChain was the inclusion of Alibaba Cloud as a validator. Not only does this inclusion provide a firm layer of credibility, but it also speaks to the global nature of ZetaChain’s quest. Alibaba Cloud joins an already impressive list of validators, such as Coinbase, Google Cloud, and NTT Digital, in contributing to the security and growth of the network.

      Universal Chain Expansion

ZetaChain has actively integrated with several other ecosystems:

Solana Mainnet Support: Solana’s high-speed transactions and large user base now connect to ZetaChain.

Sui Localnet Integration: ZetaChain extends its capabilities to Move-based blockchains, opening up new doors for developers.

Avalanche Testnet Support: Avalanche developers can now leverage ZetaChain to easily interact with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more.

Arbitrum Testnet Integration: As a popular Layer-2 for Ethereum, Arbitrum benefits from direct interoperability through ZetaChain.

      Google Cloud Collaboration

Google Cloud is also a validator on both ZetaChain’s mainnet and testnet aiming to bolster network security and help bring more Web3 innovation to a broader audience. By having major tech companies serve as validators, ZetaChain demonstrates that it values a strong distributed network.

      Real-World Uses for ZetaChain

Although the term “universal blockchain” might sound abstract, the applications for ZetaChain are very tangible. Here are just a few:

Cross-Chain DEXs: A DEX could allow you to swap Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, or Bitcoin assets in a single interface. No more jumping between platforms or wrapping tokens.

Unified NFT Marketplaces: Collectors could buy and sell NFTs across multiple blockchains all in one place. An NFT minted on Solana could be sold to an Ethereum user, for example, without the usual hoops.

Multichain Identity Systems: ZetaChain could manage identity data pulled from various chains. Imagine a scenario where your entire digital life—DeFi transactions and NFT holdings—is verified across multiple networks.

      Looking Ahead

ZetaChain presents a compelling solution for anyone looking to streamline the way they interact with multiple blockchains. By removing the usual hassles—like bridging risks, token wrapping, and multiple wallet setups—it sets a new standard for what cross-chain technology can achieve.

With major corporate players like Alibaba Cloud and Google Cloud supporting its validator ecosystem, ZetaChain seems well-positioned to become a cornerstone in the evolving world of cross-chain interoperability.

For Users: ZetaChain lowers barriers, making the often-complicated process of moving assets around feel more natural.

For Developers: ZetaChain’s omnichain smart contracts open up creative possibilities not feasible on single-chain platforms.

For Institutions: Having major tech companies on board as validators lends confidence to the platform’s stability and longevity.

In a landscape where every blockchain aims to stand out, ZetaChain stands apart by aiming to bring them all together.

How Netflix’s Carry-On Helped Pave The Way For Blumhouse’s New Horror Movie – SlashFilm

        0
How Netflix’s Carry-On Helped Pave The Way For Blumhouse’s New Horror Movie – SlashFilm

If you watch movies and are subscribed to Netflix, there’s a decent chance you watched the thriller “Carry-On” at some point in the last few months. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, known for his Liam Neeson action joints such as “Non-Stop” and “The Commuter,” it quickly rocketed up the streamer’s charts, becoming a smash hit. It also, somewhat indirectly, paved the way for his new film.

After directing horror films like “Orphan” and “House of Wax” earlier in his career, Collet-Serra is returning to the genre with Blumhouse’s “The Woman in the Yard.” The film, which has largely been shrouded in mystery, represents the director’s first horror effort since 2016’s “The Shallows.” Taking that journey with him is Danielle Deadwyler, whom he collaborated with on “Carry-On” as Elena Cole, the agent trying to get to the bottom of the plot hatched by Jason Bateman’s mysterious traveler.

“That’s my guy,” Deadwyler said of Collet-Serra during a set visit I attended last year for “The Woman in the Yard.” I spoke with Deadwyler and other members of the crew on the very last day of filming in Athens, Georgia, which is about an hour outside of Atlanta. Deadwyler, whose credits also include films like “The Harder They Fall” and “I Saw the TV Glow,” spoke very highly of the director, explaining that she’s come to deeply trust him as a collaborator:

“I think it’s just truly about trust. And I know his history — all the more present things that he’s done, ‘Jungle Cruise,’ ‘Black Adam’ and stuff are much more action-oriented. ‘Carry-On’ is obviously action-oriented. But to know that he had this history of horror and thriller, for that matter, and being like, ‘Okay, let’s go play in this world together.’ I trust him. He knows what I can do. I know what he can do, and we just, pow, you know what I mean?”

“I call him the master of the dark. He gets happy and joyous about the most difficult things,” Deadwyler added. “We’ve got a rapport at this point.”

Danielle Deadwyler and Jaume Collet-Serra developed that relationship on Carry-On

During our set visit, the producers were hesitant to reveal much of anything about “The Woman in the Yard.” What we do know is that the film centers on Ramona (Deadwyler), a woman crippled by grief after her husband (Russell Hornsby) is killed in a car accident. Injured and alone, she’s left to care for their two children at their remote farmhouse. One day, a mysterious woman dressed in black suddenly appears in their yard, and it quickly becomes clear that her intentions are nefarious.

As Deadwyler alluded to, Collet-Serra was coming off of some major studio productions before taking on this relatively low-budget horror affair. He most recently directed The Rock’s long-awaited DC movie “Black Adam” for Warner Bros. right after working with the wrestler-turned actor on Disney’s “Jungle Cruise.”

“I think that when someone is expressing those multitudes and can return, that makes it that much more full,” Deadwyler added. “He has this history of doing horror, this history of doing thriller, he has been doing this action. You can take all of that and put that into the pot that we’re working in now.”

The two of them gelled on “Carry-On,” with producer Stephanie Allain saying that sometimes actors and directors have “that thing,” a collaboration that can’t always be easily defined. And Collet-Serra wasn’t just going back to horror because it was easy, either. As Allain also explained, the filmmaker was busting his ass to be able to make this movie happen:

“He took it really seriously. He was still finishing ‘Carry-On’ while he was here. He would drive himself to the airport after wrap on Friday, get on that plane, which is two hours. You guys know. It’s so far out. It made it really hard to leave. Get on that plane, fly back to L.A., have dinner with his family, work on the movie, come back. He paid for that all himself.”

Blumhouse could use that level of dedication, as the studio had a rough year in 2024. Can Collet-Serra work his magic once again and deliver a hit for the studio, just as he did for Netflix last year? Maybe we’re seeing the beginnings of the next great actor/director combination. Here’s hoping.

“The Woman in the Yard” hits theaters on March 28, 2025.

What I didn’t know at the time though is that The First Berserker: Khazan from Neople and Nexon Korea Corporation is actually part of another game’s wider universe, that of Dungeon Fighter Online; Nexon’s flagship title.

I’ve not previously taken that universe in, I hasten to add, but after the experiences I’ve had playing The First Berserker: Khazan, I may well have to look it up! So, come with me to a world of Souls style combat as we take in what is on offer.

The First Berserker Khazan Review 1
        An excellent Anime Souls!

        Intriguing Origins and Striking Presentation

If we take the presentation first, the news is excellent.

Best described as almost “Anime Souls”, The First Berserker: Khazan features a striking cel shaded look, and while the world is 3D, it has a wonderful hand drawn vibe to it. The design of Khazan, his friends and enemies is all top notch, and some of the bosses are nothing short of both very large and very scary indeed. The animation of the enemies is also extremely well done whilst the fighting moves of Khazan, especially once you’ve leveled him up a bit, looks absolutely breathtaking.

Further, the various environments that we find ourselves exploring, while all discrete levels (no open world shenanigans here) all look good, the maps coming in at a decent size, ripe for exploration with shortcuts to discover, and secrets to find.

The sound is also very good, with fully voiced cutscenes being well acted and believable, helping to bring the characters to life. The battle sounds are equally as on point, with the clangs of swords clashing all being present and correct. All in all, I have been impressed by the presentation of the game, enjoying watching the game in motion. It’s certainly easier doing that than surviving, that’s for damn sure!

        Khazan’s Compelling Narrative

But why are we running around picking a fight with anything that looks at us funny, I hear you ask?

Well, it turns out that Khazan was the Emperor’s most trusted general, and after defeating the Dragon King Hismer, he was betrayed by the nobles of the court. They convinced the Emperor that Khazan was a traitor, and his best friend with him. While his mate was executed, Khazan had the tendons in his arms cut, sentenced to exile. Into this sorry tale comes a spirit who tries to take over Khazan, and the rest is a story of revenge and ultra violence.

You’ll not get any more of the narrative passing through my typing fingers for fear of spoilers, but suffice it to say that the story is strong enough to draw us in and keep us trying to advance. With the emphasis on ‘trying’!

        Hard, but always fair

        Parry and Punish

While The First Berserker: Khazan feels Souls-like, the actual gameplay is much closer to Wo Long or Sekiro in style.

Let me explain. The Wo Long reference is in relation to the parry based gameplay – you really need to get used to blocking at the right time (called a Brink guard in this game) as this will not only stop you getting hurt, but it will also reduce your enemy’s poise. Once their poise has been broken, they are left wide open to a brutal attack (again, the game’s phrase, not mine, although they certainly do make you wince) and you don’t need me to tell you that they will easily dish out a lot of damage.

The longer boss battles revolve around this mechanic, and that means learning attack patterns is absolutely vital, so the rhythm of blocking attacks needs to become second nature. Of course, what is good for the goose is good for the gander, and if you exhaust your stamina by attacking and then try to block, the enemies can then turn the tables on you. Keep an eye on your stamina at all times.

There is a whole host of customisation built into The First Berserker: Khazan, allowing you to experiment. There is not only more armour than you can shake a stick at, with every piece interchangeable, but also sets of armour that can be equipped. Each piece of a set that you equip brings a bonus with it, and there can be up to five bonuses, such as increased damage or better stamina recovery that can be stacked up. It is worth considering not only the damage reduction of the armour piece you are looking at, but how they interact with each other as well.

The weapons fall into three categories. There is the one we start out with, a dual wielding pair of sword and axe, and these are very much a close up, in-your-face style of weapon. There is also a great sword category, which does what it says on the tin: think of Cloud’s Buster sword in Final Fantasy VII and you won’t be far off. These are a very slow weapon, but anything you manage to hit will stay hit. Finally, my favourite is the spear; a fast and slightly longer range weapon than the other two. It makes up for its overall brilliance by dealing slightly less damage than the other two.

Each weapon class also has its own skill tree, where you can get new attacks and power ups. With these choices and the armour, making Khazan your own is pretty easy.

The First Berserker: Khazan is stupendous

        Khazan’s Unique Summoning System

There is no multiplayer in The First Berserker: Khazan, but you don’t have to face the bosses alone: it is possible to summon spirits to assist in the boss fights. In order to summon a friendly spirit, you need a particular item and this can only be obtained by summoning unfriendly phantoms (which are dotted around the levels, in easy to spot red icons floating over the landscape). This system really keeps you on your toes, as making sure you have an adequate supply of the items is vital, as they can also be used to make your summoned spirit stronger. Basically, fight as much as you can!

        A Stupendous Souls-Like Triumph

The First Berserker: Khazan is a stupendous game. The combat is fast, flowing and very smooth, and while it is undeniably hard, it never feels unfair. Even the camera, which is traditionally a weak point with these affairs, is rock solid and helpful.

All in all, this is one of those games that demands to be played and while you may be left with bleeding fingers, the feeling you get as you finally take a boss down on the 28th attempt is nothing short of amazing.

Zoth Exploit Exposes Major Security Flaws in DeFi

Zoth Exploit Exposes Major Security Flaws in DeFi

        In Brief

Zoth, a real-world asset restaking protocol, was exploited in the decentralized finance ecosystem, resulting in over $8.4 million in losses and highlighting ongoing security threats.

Zoth Exploit Exposes Major Security Flaws in DeFi

The decentralized finance ecosystem saw another security problem when the real-world asset restaking protocol Zoth was exploited, resulting in losses of more than $8.4 million. Following the hacking, Zoth put its website on maintenance mode while it investigated the situation. This occurrence shows continuous security dangers in the DeFi ecosystem, including weaknesses in smart contracts and administrative controls.

On March 21, the blockchain security firm Cyvers discovered a suspicious transaction involving Zoth. The company announced that the protocol’s deployer wallet had been hacked, resulting in an unlawful withdrawal of more than $8.4 million in cryptocurrency assets. The attacker proceeded quickly, changing the stolen funds into DAI stablecoins and transferring them to a new address in minutes.

In response to the attack, Zoth confirmed the security breach and stated that it was working to rectify the situation. The team worked with its partners to limit the harm and secure the platform’s recovery. Once the investigation is completed, a thorough report is going to be prepared. While consumers await further information, the event has already sparked worries about DeFi security and the weaknesses that criminal actors continue to exploit.

Tracing the Movement of Stolen Funds

Following the attack, PeckShield, a blockchain analytics startup, traced the movements of stolen assets. According to their findings, the attackers converted the stolen funds to Ethereum (ETH). This is a common strategy among hackers attempting to obfuscate the transaction trail, as ETH offers liquidity and can be further funneled into various anonymizing services to evade detection.

The quick flow of cash indicates that the assailant was well-prepared. Once converted, ETH may be transferred to decentralized exchanges or mixing services, making it impossible to trace and recover stolen funds. This technique emphasizes the necessity of real-time transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics in detecting and perhaps intercepting unlawful transactions.

Possible Cause – Admin Privilege Leak

Security experts believe the attack was created by a breach of administrative privileges. According to Cyvers Alerts senior SOC lead Hakan Unal, around 30 minutes before the attack, a Zoth contract was updated to a malicious version and delivered via a suspicious address. This update allowed the attacker to bypass security measures and take complete control over user funds immediately.

Unlike standard DeFi attacks, which target flaws in smart contract code, this approach allowed the hacker to change the protocol’s contract by gaining administrative authority. The attacker did not need to identify a flaw in the smart contract logic; instead, they exploited a backdoor generated during an unlawful contract upgrade. The attack’s rapidity and the immediate conversion of assets into stablecoins point to a well-planned operation.

        Preventive Measures and Security Recommendations

Implementing multisignature (multisig) authentication for contract updates would keep a single compromised key from gaining complete control of the system. Multiple signatures are required for large protocol modifications, ensuring that no single point of failure may damage the system.

Adding timelocks to updates would give extra oversight, allowing the community or security teams to discover and act before changes are implemented. This would act as a buffer, making it more difficult for attackers to perform immediate takeovers.

Real-time warnings for admin role changes might lead to faster reactions to unwanted access. Such alerts would tell security teams whenever an administrative function was changed, giving them a key opportunity to examine and maybe block suspected activity before it caused damage.

Improved key management methods are also required to avoid unwanted access. Given that admin key breaches are still a danger with DeFi, security experts emphasize the significance of decentralized upgrading processes. Without these measures, attackers will continue to target privileged roles in DeFi protocols.

The Growing Concern of Admin Key Exploits in DeFi

The Zoth exploit is another illustration of the dangers of centralized admin access in DeFi protocols. Similar assaults have occurred in the past, with hackers exploiting single points of failure to steal funds from projects that lacked proper security. The situation emphasizes the need for better governance systems that limit reliance on a single entity to manage crucial components of a protocol.

Although DeFi is based on the notion of decentralization, many protocols still rely on centralized administration rights, which can be used as attack vectors. The industry must adopt governance frameworks in which important protocol changes require community consensus or automated measures to avoid illegal changes.

Impact on Zoth and the DeFi Ecosystem

Zoth’s immediate goal is to resolve the security issue, restore platform functioning, and recover user confidence. Incidents like these can have a long-term impact on a project’s reputation, reducing user confidence and liquidity involvement. The way Zoth addresses this situation—through openness, security enhancements, and compensation plans—will determine its capacity to recover.

Managing security vulnerabilities necessitates a multifaceted strategy. Continuous smart contract audits, decentralized governance models, and proactive monitoring systems must become standard practice. Protocols should include real-time threat detection technologies that can detect suspicious behavior before funds are compromised.

Joe Manganiello Wants Poker Stars To Feature In Next Season of Deal or No Deal Island | MarkMeets Media

Joe Manganiello Wants Poker Stars To Feature In Next Season of Deal or No Deal Island | MarkMeets Media

The second season of Deal or No Deal Island may have just wrapped up, but executive producer and host Joe Manganiello has already shared who he hopes to see in future seasons.

Deemed viewers’ “next reality TV obsession,” Deal or No Deal Island has already made a splash with a record-breaking $200 million worth of prizes, dramatic multi-tiered challenges, and a very colorful cast of characters. In the previous seasons, the show has been populated with famous faces from within the reality TV scene, like Celebrity Apprentice content Claudia Jordan and Big Brother season two winner Will Kirby.

According to a recent Cincinnati Enquirer interview, Manganiello shared that his hope for the show’s future is to feature a cast of World Series of Poker (WSOP) personalities. But just how would this keep up the momentum of a show that’s made an impact with an entertaining cast?

From the felt to the island

Of course, while having a season with a cast composed of purely WSOP champs would make for interesting TV, this wouldn’t be the first time a poker player has been on the show. In the first season, one of Survivor’s most popular contestants, Rob Mariano, was a cast member. Also known as “Boston Rob” in pop culture circles, Mariano has made a rather successful transition into elite poker circles. To date, Mariano has participated in prestigious tourneys, including 2024’s WSOP Paradise Island Super Main Event. Currently, the reality TV veteran is still connected to Deal or No Deal Island as the host of its aftershow program.

Additionally, season two’s Courtney Kim is also a known poker player. Although she says that her profession is banking, she’s previously stated that a lot of people know her more as a poker player, which is likely why she was initially scouted for the show. This comes following her back-to-back WSOP wins at the Ladies Championship events. In her first tournament alone, Kim took home a coveted champion’s ring and $11,000. While relatively new to both poker and reality TV, Kim made it to the top three of Deal or No Deal Island, which likely helped solidify the strategic appeal that poker players bring to the table.

Which WSOP stars may feature on Deal or No Deal Island next?

While Manganiello specifically named poker icon Daniel Negreanu as somebody he’d like to see on the show, there are other WSOP participants who are even more likely to become potential cast members in the future. In particular, considering that past seasons have heavily leaned on reality TV stars, poker players who also happen to have experience in this genre of television are strong candidates.

For starters, there’s Storage Wars star Rene Nezhoda. When he’s not shooting for the show, which is currently in its 16th season, Nezhoda is an avid poker player. In fact, he’s even an official ambassador for Americas Cardroom. Since its establishment in 2001, the operator is now the leading online poker site in the US. Over the years, it’s carved a name for itself partly due to its impressive roster of poker partners. This includes other poker legends, like Chris Moneymaker and Ebony Kenney, who even joined Nezhoda and others in this year’s ACR Pro and Ambassador Meet-Up Game. A self-confessed card shark, Nezhoda has played at the WSOP multiple times, with the most recent in 2024 where he made it up to Day 6. As somebody with experience in both poker and bidding, Nezhoda has all the tools necessary to outwit any possible competition on the island.

Moving over to women poker players, Jennifer Tilly would be a welcome cast addition, too. Initially, Tilly made her mark in the mainstream following her role in Bride of Chucky. Nowadays, though, Tilly is better known for her poker prowess, having won a WSOP bracelet in 2005. Since then, Tilly has continued to make many poker appearances. Over the years, she’s also worked closely with the gaming entity PokerStars, which is known as a trusted online card game platform. Today, she also counts herself as a reality TV star, given that she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for their 14th season last year. Tilly soon became a fan favorite, and many tuned in after having known her from the poker circuit and her movies.

Why poker stars can be a good fit for the reality TV hit

But why would poker players fit well within Deal or No Deal Island? Manganiello notes that poker players’ ability to read their opponents is an interesting factor. Similarly, Mariano told Collider that adaptability and self-awareness are two skills necessary in Deal or No Deal Island. As it happens, top-notch poker players have these in spades, which would surely make for high-stakes and strategy-heavy reality TV.
