The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review – The Classic Is Back & As Joyfully Janky As Ever

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review – The Classic Is Back & As Joyfully Janky As Ever

Nearly two decades after Bethesda unleashed Oblivion onto the world and tasked millions of players around the globe with shutting the gates, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered gives the massive RPG a fresh coat of paint and some under-the-hood changes. Most importantly, this impressive remake retains the original game’s charming jankiness. Absolutely no other game could be remade in 2025 and get away with deliberately failing to fix problems, and yet if the team at Virtous had tried, the Oblivion fans would have revolted.

First, we need to tackle the name. Whatever might be printed on the box, this is far more than a mere remaster. Sure, the visual upgrade is not to be ignored – this is one hell of an illusion spell that has been cast over the game – but there are a bunch of gameplay tweaks that have been made too. The end result is something that’s halfway between a remaster and a remake, but definitely sneaking closer to the latter. There’s been enough work here to easily justify the £50 asking price.

Let’s talk about the most obvious change first, shall we? Even in 2006, Oblivion was not the best looking game out there, although it’s bright colours and insane level of bloom effect gave it a very distinctive look. Now, though, Virtous has rebuilt the game’s graphics in Unreal Engine 5 and the results are impressive. This is what I remember Oblivion looking like in my nostalgia-tinted memories; lush countryside, gorgeous vistas, and sunlight streaming over the hills as I battle mud crabs. The new lighting is a particular highlight, especially when you encounter Oblivion gates and the red light creeps through the environment. Character models also look terrific, as does their armour and weapons which I could spend far too long admiring, although their faces still have a dopey, potato quality to them.

The Emperor’s new face is looking good!

All that beauty comes at a price, though, because performance isn’t as good as it should be. Back in 2006, Oblivion was in rough shape on consoles. The remaster isn’t as bad, but I really wasn’t expecting a remaster of a 20-year-old game to be so inconsistent with its framerate. The game targets 60FPS but frequently misses that on PS5, and its quite variable depending on where you are in the game world. It never got unplayable in my experience, but I still expected more. Hopefully, some updates will help.

Now, while I mentioned that the game’s graphics are being handled by Unreal Engine 5, that doesn’t mean the Creation Engine is absent – quite the opposite, it’s the beating heart. This black magic engine layering that Bethesda has performed means that underneath all the beautifully detailed armour and enchanting lighting lies classic Oblivion in its dopey, janky glory. That means you still have the baffling conversations between AI, the many weird glitches, odd behaviours, wonky combat AI, and all the other jank that has somehow over the years become not only part of the game’s charm, but central to its identity. Changes have been made in a few places, sure, but this is still Oblivion for better or for worse. Often, both.

The list of changes is actually quite big so I’m not going to go over them all. Let’s just pick a few and go from there. You can sprint now, a massive change that makes getting around Cyrodil easier than ever, and it even contributes to your athletics skill. The third-person camera has been repositioned and has a crosshair now, making it much easier to play Oblivion as a third-person action game. Sneaking has been updated so it’s now clearer when you are hidden from sight. There’s a bunch of new voice actors and lines of dialogue, adding some much-needed variety.

Only you can stop forest Oblivion gates

The skill system and levelling up have been given a substantial overhaul so that it now resembles a mixture of Oblivion and Skyrim. Back in 2006, you were encouraged to level up slowly by avoiding actually using your main skills, and if you approached the system in the wrong way the game could become an absolutely pain in the arse, especially if you didn’t sink points into endurance early enough.

Now, every skill you improve counts toward levelling up, although minor skills contribute less than major ones. And once you level up, you are given 12 Virtue points to sink into any three attributes of your choice. This makes the system much simpler to understand and cuts down the risk of becoming a useless blob in the late game.

The system ain’t perfect, though. As you level up, the game scales with you, a divisive feature of the Elder Scrolls. Virtous decided to tackle this as well, making some changes to the difficulty system and how levelling is handled. I can say that it’s certainly an improvement over the original, but it’s still not great, which is a bit frustrating when modders have managed to balance everything quite well. The big issue here is that there’s a hell of a difference between the “adept” and “expert”. The former is far too easy, while the latter kicks up the challenge way too much.

Combat still boils down to hammering the attack button like it owes you money or until your stamina tanks – whichever comes first. But Virtous have thrown in a few nice additions, namely enemies now react to being hit, and there’s even a bit of blood splatter. This makes it so you don’t feel like you’re just swinging at an imaginary foe. Stamina no longers effects damage, either, which is nice, and your health regenerates outside of combat. You also can’t get knocked down now, unless you block with zero stamina.

Are these changes enough to make the combat good? No, not really. The truth is the combat is still quite simplistic and button-mashy, but it’s also a decent step up from 2006 Oblivion, so that’s cool. Truthfully, without completely rebuilding the combat, there’s very little Virtous could have done to make it much better. Of course, being Oblivion you can always avoid melee combat altogether by building yourself as a sneaky archer or a powerful magic-wielding mage.

Naturally, there are a lot of areas where Oblivion shows its nearly 2 decades of age. Quests are mechanically fairly bland, for instance, and there’s a lot of exploring of dull caves/dungeons/forts. In 2006, Bethesda had not adopted the art of ensuring dungeons looped back on themselves so that you didn’t have to run back through, and the remaster does nothing to remedy that. I would have loved a teleport option or something when you reach the end of a dungeon, but alas, that’s probably asking a bit much.

Stretching can really help alleviate back pain.

But then, what do you expect from a nearly 20-year-old game? Oblivion is not a deep RPG by today’s standards. It doesn’t matter, though, because what Oblivion might lack in quest design, it makes up for in other ways and variety. One minute you’re a hitman murdering people in the name of the Dark Brotherhood, the next you’re helping a paranoid dude figure out if the entire city really is out to get him. You’ll advance through the ranks of the Mage’s Guild, become a vampire by accident, get sucked into a magic painting and encounter a town of invisible people. Oblivion contains its fair share of darker quest lines and world saving nonsense, but it also has a lot of wacky stories, too, that make it a joy to explore, something which Skyrim lost a little of.

And that’s not mentioning the fact that Oblivion Remastered contains all the extra content that was launched, from the player houses to the excellent Shivering Isles expansion. And yes, the infamous horse-armour is here, too. That’s a lot of bang for your $50.

Somewhere along the way, you might even remember that there’s an actual main quest and narrative to chase. Something about Oblivion gates opening up across the land, a dead emperor and a long-lost son? That can probably wait, though, right?

Stepping out of the (too long) sewer section is still an iconic moment.

There is a final question we need to answer; what about new players? What about the people who never experienced Oblivion and are approaching this as a brand-new game in 2025? Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s a question I can answer. I’m too wrapped up in Oblivion. It’s a game I adore, one which soaked up hundreds of hours back in the day. It’s difficult for me to shove that aside and imagine what it would be like to play Oblivion in 2025 for the first time and how well it would hold up. I’ll give it a go, though: if you can remember that the game is nearly two decades old and laugh at the absurdity of its many glitches (holding a casual conversation with someone burning to death in lava, for example) then I believe Oblivion is absolutely worth experiencing for new players.

In Conclusion…

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

As a remaster/remake, Oblivion Remastered is about the best possible package I could have imagined, outside actually rebuilding the entire game. Of course, that would have probably ruined the whole thing because what even is Oblivion without its charmingly deranged jank. No, Bethesda and Virtous made the right choices by keeping the core of Oblivion intact while encasing it in a new suit of shiny armour. The gameplay tweaks here and there help smooth over some of its wrinkles, and the graphical overhaul is gorgeous. Now go and give Fallout 3 the same treatment, you cowards. As for me, I have some Oblivion gates to close.

Crypto VC funds struggle to capture money as startup fundraising rebounds in 2025

Crypto VC funds struggle to capture money as startup fundraising rebounds in 2025

Crypto venture capital (VC) firms are experiencing operational strain and consolidation, even as project-level fundraising gains momentum.

In the first quarter, crypto startups raised $5.85 billion, already accounting for nearly 61% of the capital raised throughout 2024, according to DefiLlama.

Varys Capital head of venture Tom Dunleavy shared that, despite this influx, fewer active funds are deploying capital, and many firms launched during the last market cycle are no longer consistently participating in deals.

He attributed the pullback to dwindling capital reserves and a lack of meaningful returns and described the situation as “massive consolidation coming in crypto VC.”

Dunleavy noted that many funds raised in 2021 and 2022 are “shadow insolvent,” out of capital but still nominally active. He projected that many non-brand-name firms, and even some established names, will be functionally closed by 2026.

Crypto VC funds vs. startups

Galaxy Research data shows that while startup fundraising is recovering, venture capital funds are raising less money to invest in crypto projects.

Additionally, the number of new crypto VC funds peaked in 2022 at more than 300 but has steadily declined yearly. Only around 50 new funds were launched in 2024, and just a fraction of that number entered the market in the first quarter of 2025.

The number of repeat investors has also shrunk. DefiLlama data shows that of all active funds in the past 180 days, only 67 made more than one investment, which is less than half.

Dunleavy cited several causes, including the absence of distributions to paid-in capital (DPI), a lack of headline investment wins to renew attention from capital allocators, and slower inflows from ultra- and high-net-worth individuals.

He added that institutional investors remain hesitant despite recent regulatory progress across jurisdictions.

Contraction in venture capital

The fundraising side does not mirror the contraction seen with venture firms. The increase in the first-quarter fundraising volumes suggests that interest in crypto startups is growing. However, capital flows from a narrower base of repeat participants and larger allocators.

As a result, venture activity is becoming more concentrated. Capital is no longer widely distributed across many generalist funds but is instead focused within a smaller group of active players with sufficient dry powder and differentiated theses.

Dunleavy believes this new landscape is likely a massive positive development for the industry, as venture capital funds are much sharper with whom they deploy capital, resulting in better companies thriving.

The crypto fundraising landscape is entering a bifurcated phase. While startups continue to raise money faster than last year, crypto VC funds struggle to justify their relevance, raise new capital, and remain active in a leaner, more disciplined market.

Days of our Lives LEAK: Bo & Hope Return Airdate Revealed and Philip Beaten

Days of our Lives LEAK: Bo & Hope Return Airdate Revealed and Philip Beaten

Days of Our Lives fans, Guess what? I have got a whole pile of leaks from my inside source and they have told me a bunch of juicy stuff like about Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso)’s first episode date, why Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) is brutally beaten very soon and a bunch more good stuff.

Days of Our Lives: Source Gives Several LEAKS

So, this is all huge stuff from upcoming summer episodes, including scoop on breakups, miracles, and a little bit of courtroom drama. And there’s a lot to unpack. In fact, we got so many leaks, I had to divide it into two videos. So, check back on Thursday for part two of these Days of Our Lives leaks.

All right, for those of you new to the channel, I need to explain just real quick about my leaker. This person has been a very reliable source. I won’t say they’re 100% accurate, but I would say 80 to 90% accurate, which is good enough for me to keep sharing their info. So, just to be clear, these are not official spoilers.

These are leaks from somebody with their finger on the pulse that gets the goods and sends it to me. But I just want to make clear, these are not written in stone. No guarantees. Let’s get into it. Number one.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Xander Cook Heartbreak Ahead

So, my source says there is definitely more heartache ahead for Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). He still doesn’t know his wife Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) has been aware for quite a while about Sneaky Philip’s forged letter he said was from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). But now Sarah feels there’s no point in telling him. But it’s all about to change.

Our source spilled that Dandy Xandy is going to learn about Sarah’s betrayal at the end of May or very early June. So, not quite yet. This week, Xander runs off with Sarah to the emergency room with an allergic reaction to some food and that sidelines their big honeymoon plans. But it doesn’t look like she blabs or Xander overhears it just quite yet.

According to our reliable leaker, we have a couple of more weeks, possibly into early June, before Sarah is completely outed and Xander Cook loses it and his and Sarah’s marriage implodes. So, you got to hope that Xander Cook hears it from Sarah’s mouth with her confessing it to him, but that seems increasingly unlikely. My money is on Xander overhearing something because he’s a big eavesdropper in addition to being a big guy all around.

Days of Our Lives Leak: Philip Kiriakis Brutally Beaten

All right, speaking of the hospital, our number two leak is that Philip gets beaten up pretty badly. Looks like he may need some help in the ER. And this supposedly goes down sometime this month in May during sweeps.

Now, it could be related to Xander’s pent-up anger getting the best of him and he snaps on Philip. You know, Xander obviously is livid at his brother. However, maybe it has something to do with something entirely different, and Philip gets himself into some different trouble on Days.

We know Doug 3 has been in trouble and those goons may be looking for him again. Remember, they wanted that extra interest payment. So, Philip’s beating maybe, I don’t know, some weird mistaken identity thing at the mansion.

Wrong place, wrong time. Or since Philip has now met Doug 3, maybe he steps in to help the young man with these thugs and he gets his butt kicked for his troubles. Of course, we’ll let you know when we see spoilers on the source of Philip’s beatdown and whether it’s Xander or maybe somebody outside the Kiriakis family.

Bo and Hope Brady Return to Days of Our Lives: Air Date Revealed!

All right, our third big leak is something big. The moment fans have been waiting for, the return of Bo and Hope Brady. My leaker says their first episode that they return will be Friday, May 23rd in honor of their 40th anniversary. That was their fancy London wedding.

And our leaker says, “When we see them, Bo will still be bedridden with Hope at his bedside. And we’re obviously going to get a miraculous recovery for Bo. But it looks like this kicks off, even if he doesn’t wake up on their milestone anniversary, commemorating their first wedding back in 1985.”

So, it sounds like Steve and Shawn Brady succeed in stealing Dr. Russell’s experimental drug. Either that or Bo gets another sort of miracle. We’re going to talk about that in our next leak. But if the theft of Versix is exposed, you know, we have to wonder if Shawn Brady is arrested and will miss his dad Bo waking up. Although Steve Johnson and Shawn Brady are doing the heist together.

As I said, I could see Shawn Brady covering for Kayla and Steve Johnson because Shawn feels so guilty that he shot his dad, Bo, and that this coma is all his fault. All that aside, we are super excited that Hope gets her miracle and Bo wakes up. And from there, Hope and Bo take fans on a wild adventure story, a little arc that’s going to take us through summer. And if our leaker is correct, watch for May 23rd. That’s when the magic begins for Bo and Hope.

Days of Our Lives: Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) - Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso)
Days of Our Lives: Bo Brady – Hope Brady

Days of Our Lives: Julie Williams Prays for Bo’s Miracle

All right, leak number four also ties back to Bo, but with a twist. Our source says we’re soon going to find out somebody else is trying hard to save Bo’s life. The leaker told us Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is sending up fervent prayers to heaven to her husband Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) this month, begging her beloved Doug to please save Bo’s life.

Of course, Julie knows how much Bo meant to Doug as his son-in-law. And admittedly, Bo and Doug didn’t always see eye to eye. They both agreed that they wanted Hope to have the best in life. As Bo has lain in that coma for more than two years now, of course, Hope kept constant vigil at his bedside, only returning home to lay her daddy, Doug to rest last winter.

So fans may get a montage of old Days of our Lives footage of Doug Williams and Bo take us on a little trip down memory lane as Julie Williams prays for a miracle healing for her son-in-law Bo. I would love to see some classic footage like that. That is not part of the leak. That’s just me hoping.

So, will Julie and Hope feel like Doug pulled some heavenly strings to save Bo life and restore his health? If Shawn Brady and Steve can’t get the drug, maybe Doug can do it from the great beyond. Hope will obviously have to bring Bo up to speed on all the happenings in Salem that he missed out on these two years.

Days of Our Lives Shocker: EJ DiMera Plots Hospital Takeover

All right. Now, our very last tidbit that’s part of part one of the leaks is about EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) telling Belle Black (Martha Madison) he is going to buy the hospital. Of course, we know EJ claims to be a changed man now that he’s out of his coma and recovering at home.

But then when Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) refused to let Dr. Russell out of his contract with University Hospital so he could take his Versix research and leave, the doctor called EJ. Turns out Russell has been conspiring with EJ for a while to get this drug into DiMera hands.

Kayla of course knows it’s a cash cow and that University Hospital needs the money from the patent on this groundbreaking drug and she’s hoping once Dr. Russell gets FDA approval it could save the hospital. But in the meantime, EJ is conspiring with Dr. Russell and it’s not entirely clear how shady his motives are. And to be fair, EJ started conspiring with the doctor before his whole shtick about my coma changed me.

Fifteen Years Later! Cancelled Captain Blood Finally Launches on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC | TheXboxHub
    Captain Blood – available today

Shiver me timbers! In a turn of events worthy of a pirate legend, Captain Blood, an action-packed hack ‘n’ slash adventure lost to the waves of publisher bankruptcy over a decade ago, has finally made port today.

Aged like a fine bottle of rum, this rescued retro title is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), and Mac.

Published by the game preservation specialists at SNEG, Captain Blood sets sail with a tempting 10% launch discount on its £20.49 price tag across all platforms.

A Treasure Unearthed: The Story Behind Captain Blood

This isn’t just another game launch; it’s the culmination of a journey spanning nearly two decades. Originally developed by Seawolf Studio and intended for release in the Xbox 360/PS3 era (around 2010), Captain Blood’s voyage was scuppered when its publisher went bankrupt. Legal challenges kept the game locked away in Davy Jones’ Locker until SNEG, with the blessing of the original dev team, took the helm.

Their mission? To salvage and restore this lost gem, updating it for modern systems while meticulously conserving the retro look, feel, and gameplay of the early 2010s vintage it represents. We first reported on this surprising resurrection earlier this year, and today, the ship has finally come in.

“The original developers put years of hard work into this game and never got the credit for their efforts or to see gamers playing it. Today, this launch is for them. We hope players everywhere will enjoy and appreciate their work and show their support for the preservation of more cancelled gems like Captain Blood in the future,” said SNEG co-founders Artem Shchuiko and Oleg Klapovskiy

“When we first learned that the game wouldn’t be released, it felt devastating – like all our hard work had vanished into thin air. Seeing it finally launch today feels almost unreal. It’s a moment of pride and joy for the entire team,” said Sergey Makeev, former Project Lead on Captain Blood at Seawolf Studio and currently Senior Technical Director at Roblox.

    Swashbuckling Like It’s 2010

Step into the oversized boots of Captain Blood, purportedly the manliest pirate captain ever to sail the Spanish Main. When a local magistrate’s daughter gets kidnapped, you’re hired to stage a daring rescue. Expect a linear, action-packed adventure featuring:

Fierce Hack ‘n’ Slash Combat: Engage hordes of enemies with a classic fighting system built around flashy combos and epic finishers using cutlasses, pistols, muskets, throwing knives, and hand bombs.

Ship Deck Brawls: Repel boarders with unique moves and executions.

Cannon Fire: Blast enemy ships to smithereens!

Retro Gaming Vibes: Experience crisp Xbox 360/PS3-era graphics and mechanics, including quick-time events, updated for today but retaining their classic feel.

    One of May’s Best?

The unlikely return and retro charm of Captain Blood haven’t gone unnoticed. The game has already secured a spot in our feature highlighting the Best Xbox Games arriving in May 2025.

    Key Features

Rescued Retro Gem: A hack ‘n’ slash pirate adventure originally cancelled ~15 years ago, now restored and released.

Classic Action: Intense hand-to-hand combat, combos, finishers, gunplay, and QTEs.

Ship Combat: Deck brawls and cannon fire.

Updated 2010s Aesthetic: Crisp retro graphics preserving the original feel.

Pirate Shenanigans: Live the life of a fearsome pirate captain on a rescue mission.

Ready to Plunder this Lost Treasure?

Captain Blood’s journey to release is a story in itself. Now, gamers finally have the chance to experience this preserved piece of gaming history.

If you have a taste for retro hack ‘n’ slash action and pirate adventures, it’s available right now on the Xbox Store and other platforms for £20.49 (with that 10% launch discount making it even sweeter).

Hoist the colours and set sail! Our full review is charting its course.

    Captain Blood Description

Captain Blood is a pirate-themed action game set on the Spanish Main in the 17th century, where you step into the boots of a fearsome pirate on a quest for gold and glory. Expect wild adventures with cannon firing, pistol shooting, swashbuckling sword fights, and plenty of pirate shenanigans. This action-packed hack’n’slash features fierce hand-to-hand combat, hordes of enemies, and a classic fighting system with flashy combos and epic finishers.

Best Crypto to Buy as the Next Altcoin Season Starts to Take Shape

Best Crypto to Buy as the Next Altcoin Season Starts to Take Shape

Something’s brewing in the crypto market – and it’s not just another Bitcoin rally. With BTC holding around $94,000 and capital starting to rotate, the signs are pointing to a potential altcoin season about to begin.

That’s got traders hunting for the best crypto to buy before it does. From hidden gems to comeback contenders, let’s look at which tokens could be gearing up for a serious run.

What Is Altcoin Season – And Is Another One Coming in 2025?

Before diving into specific picks, let’s talk about what an “altcoin season” actually means – and whether we’re on the verge of one.

In simple terms, altcoin season is when non-Bitcoin cryptocurrencies – like Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, even meme coins – start massively outperforming Bitcoin. It’s like the moment when the spotlight shifts away from the flagship crypto and the rest of the market gets all the attention.

Bitcoin usually leads the way in bull markets, but once it cools off or trades sideways, traders start looking for bigger returns in smaller, faster-moving coins. That’s when altcoins can explode, posting enormous returns while Bitcoin stagnates.

A classic sign is when Bitcoin dominance (its share of the total crypto market cap) drops significantly. If that number starts falling – say, from 64% down to 55% – it’s often a sign that altcoins are getting more attention and capital.

What Is Altcoin Season – And Is Another One Coming in 2025?

So, could we see another altcoin season later this year? It’s certainly looking possible. Bitcoin is trading under $100,000, and altcoin narratives like AI and blockchain gaming are heating up. So, if Bitcoin consolidates and money rotates, altcoins could take off.

The last real altcoin season was in early 2021, when tokens like ETH, ADA, and even DOGE went on massive rallies. ETH jumped from around $700 to over $4,000, and DOGE capitalized on the Elon Musk hype to become a crypto star.

We’ve had a few mini altcoin waves since then, but nothing quite like that explosive period. But with these coins getting interest again, the setup feels familiar – meaning we could be on the edge of something big.

What Are the Best Cryptos to Buy If Altcoin Season Begins?

If altcoin season really is coming, positioning yourself early could pay off in a big way. Here are four coins worth keeping tabs on as the market begins to shift.

    1. BTC Bull Token (BTCBULL)

If Bitcoin is the main attraction, BTC Bull Token (BTCBULL) is looking to tap into the demand – and it’s doing a pretty good job so far. Built on Ethereum, BTCBULL is a meme coin with a real purpose. It’s designed to capitalize on Bitcoin’s bull runs, offering holders real BTC airdrops at three key price points.

That’s the core pitch: if Bitcoin rallies, BTCBULL holders get rewarded with actual Bitcoin in their wallets. Add in three separate token burns (which reduce supply) and high staking rewards, and you’ve got one of the most exciting altcoins on the market.

BTCBULL’s presale has already raised over $5.3 million, with tokens priced at just $0.0025. However, there’s growing buzz on X (Twitter) and Telegram that the token’s price could rally much higher once it goes live on a DEX.

YouTuber Yellow Trades thinks so, speculating BTCBULL could turn $100 into $10,000. So, if you’re bullish on Bitcoin in the long term, BTC Bull Token could be an interesting way to increase your exposure.

    2. Ethereum (ETH)

If there’s one coin that consistently leads the way during an altcoin season, it’s Ethereum (ETH). It’s not just the second-largest crypto by market cap – it powers DeFi, NFTs, and a massive amount of blockchain innovation.

When traders rotate out of Bitcoin looking for high-upside plays without diving into pure speculation, ETH is usually their first stop. It also helps that Ethereum has gotten faster (and cheaper) thanks to the rise of Layer-2s like Arbitrum and Optimism.

Throw in strong institutional interest and passive staking rewards, and you’ve got a compelling case to acquire ETH. If Bitcoin does begin to trade sideways, don’t be surprised if Ethereum rallies and starts heading back toward its all-time high.

    3. Monero (XMR)

Monero (XMR) is a crypto that’s quiet, private, and built for those who care deeply about staying off the grid. Unlike most altcoins that live on public blockchains where anyone can trace transactions, Monero was made for anonymity.

Every XMR transaction is cloaked by default, using tech like ring signatures, stealth addresses, and RingCT to make sure sender, receiver, and amount are entirely hidden. In a potential altcoin season, narratives matter – and privacy like this is a powerful one.

Monero is still flying under the radar, but it’s decentralized and hasn’t compromised its values for a quick price rally. If altcoin season brings more focus to utility coins, XMR could rack up some impressive gains.

    4. Four (FORM)

Another of the best cryptos to buy if altcoin season kicks off is Form (FOUR). Formerly known as BinaryX, this project has pivoted in 2025 – rebranding as Four and leaning fully into the meme coin space.

It’s now a full-blown launchpad on BNB Smart Chain that lets anyone create a token without touching a line of code. Think of it like pump.fun but for BSC, and with broader integration into NFTs, games, and Web3 apps.

That low barrier to entry is what makes Form so exciting. When FOMO hits, people don’t just want to buy meme coins – they also want to create them. Four makes that possible, and with the native FORM token trading at just $2.47, it’s positioned as a high-upside bet for traders chasing the next big thing.

    Conclusion

Altcoin season might not be here just yet, but the signs are starting to show – and getting in early can make all the difference. Whether you’re eyeing proven giants like Ethereum or privacy plays like Monero, now is a good time to start positioning.

For those looking to capitalize on Bitcoin’s momentum with higher upside, BTC Bull Token is a clever option. But as always, do your research, and never invest what you can’t afford to lose.

Where to Find & Catch Garden Ladybug in Palia

Where to Find & Catch Garden Ladybug in Palia

Palia offers various types of Bugs that players can catch while doing the Bug Catching Guild. Catching all rarities of bugs is the crucial step of leveling up the Bug Catching Guild to unlock advanced versions of the Belt, as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Bug Catching Guild Store. One of the Uncommon Bugs that players can catch is the Garden Ladybug. This guide will focus on where you can find and how you can catch the Garden Ladybug in Palia.

Where to Find Garden Ladybug in Palia

The Garden Ladybug is one of the Uncommon bugs in the game that spawn in the Bahari Fields of the Bahari Bay map region. The fields and cliffs in the northern areas have a higher chance of finding it, such as Flooded Steps, Proudhorn Pass, The Outskirts, and Thorny Thicket.

How to Catch Garden Ladybug in Palia

Catching the Garden Ladybug is easier than other bugs, as it has a chance of spawning by foraging for Gatherables in Bahari Bay. Foraging items like Sundrop Lilies, Briar Daisies, Brightshrooms, Heartdrop Lilies, or Wild Garlic will have a chance to spawn a Garden Ladybug. However, the spawn rate chance is only 10% on each forage.

Additionally, stunning the Garden Ladybug will require a couple of Smoke Bombs so, make sure you bring enough to stun it when you find it. If the Garden Ladybug gets alerted, it will try to flee by moving in a straight line. It is best to throw the Sticky Smoke Bombs on it to slow it down and then use the regular Smoke Bombs to stun it.

Once you have stunned the Garden Ladybug, go near it and interact with it to pick it up. The Garden Ladybug has a chance of dropping a Forget-Me-Not Flower and the Garden Ladybug Plush.

Uses of Garden Ladybug in Palia

Moreover, you can sell it for 46 Gold (Base) and 69 Gold (Star Quality) to Zeki or at the Shipping Bin. Moreover, you can also gift it to certain villagers who like it or those who need it. If you catch any Garden Ladybug, store it in the storage so you can give it to villagers who need it. The needs of villagers change every week, so keep your eyes on them.

Pete Wicks has responded to people comparing him to the late Paul O’Grady.

The reality star, 36, recently fronted the TV show, For Dogs’ Sake. The U&W series followed Pete at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Basildon, Essex.

What’s more, last month, it was reported that Pete had bagged two more seasons of the show and a Christmas Special.

And now, Pete has broken his silence on becoming the “new Paul O’Grady”.

Funnyman Paul O’Grady, who died in March 2023 aged 67, was famous for his love of animals, including dogs.

He presented 11 series of For The Love Of Dogs on ITV before his passing.

This Morning star Alison Hammond subsequently took over the reins from Paul as host, but has been slammed by some unhappy viewers on social media.

And due to Pete Wicks’ own love for dogs, he has previously been compared to showbiz legend Paul.

‘I don’t think anyone will be able to replace him’

In a recent interview, Pete admitted he doesn’t think he is the “new Paul O’Grady” as there is no one who can replace him.

He told OK: “I don’t feel like the new Paul O’Grady – he was an idol of mine and I don’t think anyone will be able to replace him. But this [For Dogs’ Sake] is a passion project for me.

“Being around animals is the only time I feel truly content. But it’s about the dogs, and the incredible work of the Dogs Trust. They say heroes don’t wear capes, and it’s true.”

For The Love Of Dogs fans want Pete Wicks to present

When For The Love Of Dogs returned to ITV with a new, 13th series earlier this year, detractors of Alison frequently brought Pete’s name up as their preferred alternative to present the programme.

“You need a different host ASAP. Take a look at Pete Wicks For Dogs’ Sake. He would’ve been perfect to take over from our darling Paul #FLOD,” one X user sniped.

Another suggested: “Surely someone like Pete Wicks would be a better host of For The Love Of Dogs.”

Bethesda Game Studios has released a new update for its controversial sci-fi RPG Starfield. Update 1.15.214 is available right now via Steam Beta, allowing players to try an early version of the new patch.

Starfield Update 1.15.214 adds a host of new fixes to the game, but more importantly adds new features for new and returning players. Impressively, the game now has new “very low” graphics options for the game to run even better on handhelds and older PCs.

      Starfield Update 1.15.214 features

In the patch notes for the new Starfield update, Bethesda confirmed that there are now “new ‘very low’ display options” on PC to “improve performance on some devices”. While many gamers have brute-forced their way through the game on ROG Ally, Steam Deck and other handhelds, this should make the game run even better.

Additionally, with Microsoft planning to support Nintendo Switch 2 with a slew of ports, this could be a sign that Bethesda is attempting to bring Starfield to the new Nintendo platform. After all, why else would the studio create new low-end graphics options years after release?

Additionally, Bethesda has massively improved the modding experience for console users and Creation Club users with a new file size limit. Now, players can download mods up to 2GB in size, allowing for bigger quests, locations, and mod packs.

For the full list of changes, check out the full patch notes below.

Brendan Cole’s ‘pride’ as his 12-year-old daughter takes ‘different’ path: ‘I am delighted’

Brendan Cole’s ‘pride’ as his 12-year-old daughter takes ‘different’ path: ‘I am delighted’

Brendan Cole has exclusively revealed his daughter will not be following in his footsteps in her future career, as she already has her own ideas.

Former Strictly star Brendan Cole has opened up about his 12-year-old daughter, Aurelia’s future career, and it’s not going to be dancing. Brendan and wife Zoe Hobbs have been married since 2010, and have two children together, Aurelia, 12, and a son, Dante, born in 2018.

Brendan left Strictly after his 2017 appearance, and since then has taken on numerous theatre roles and even judged some competitions. When it comes to his family, he remains private. But he opened up to ED! about his feelings regarding his daughter’s future.

Brendan Cole on future career for daughter

Speaking exclusively to ED! Brendan admitted that he mainly enjoys watching Strictly nowadays because of his daughter’s interest in it.

He said: “My children enjoy watching Strictly. My daughter likes it and I like watching it with her to see what her thoughts are. A child’s mind is drawn to something completely different. I can’t watch it without a critical eye, whereas she watches it for the pretty outfits or her favourite YouTubers.”

As for what Aurelia, who was born on Christmas Day 2012, is interested in, Brendan admitted she still loves to perform. But that she won’t ultimately be following in his footsteps as a dancer. And while some may be upset that their child is going down a different route, Brendan is “delighted”.

“She’s more of a gymnast than a dancer. She’s always on the trampoline. I’m not sure that she’s going to be a dancer, she is very much an actress. She belongs on a stage, which I am delighted about.

“That’s such a massive part in my life, especially post-Strictly. So I like seeing her follow that side of things rather than being a dancer like her dad. But I love to see her embrace the arts in a different way – the way she wants – because she has a talent for it.”

Does Brendan’s daughter enjoy watching his shows?

Brendan admitted he enjoyed “listening to the way she enunciates everything and tries to understand the characters” whenever she is performing. And every time he watches her, he believes she will “end up on a stage somewhere”.

As she has her own passion for performing, getting to watch her dad on the stage is something very special. And Brendan enjoys it even more because it contrasts with their day-to-day activities, where she prefers he keeps his distance.

He told us: “She does love coming to see me perform. And I am delighted about that. Especially because when I do the school drop off, I’m told to stand five feet away and to not look at her.

“Whereas when she comes to see me do my work, I think she’s quite proud and enjoys what I do.”

Claynosaurz Expands to Sui, Launching New NFTs and a Mobile Game

Claynosaurz Expands to Sui, Launching New NFTs and a Mobile Game

Animated NFT brand popular for its dinosaur-themed collection Claynosaurz is extending its reach beyond the Solana blockchain, confirming its expansion to Sui.

Rather than replacing its existing infrastructure, Claynosaurz will continue supporting its Solana-based NFTs whilst launching new features and collections on the Sui blockchain.

These additions include an achievements system, a new NFT collection named Popkins, and a mobile game scheduled for release in 2025.

Claynosaurz Expands to Sui, Launching New NFTs and a Mobile Game
          Source: Claynosaurz

          What is Claynosaurz?

Claynosaurz is a digital collectibles project launched on the Solana blockchain in November 2022 featuring 10,222 animated 3D dinosaurs, each part of one of seven fictional species.

The collection’s visual identity is influenced by stop-motion and clay animation, with each dinosaur designed to have a distinct personality. Its backstory is built around the fictional concept of a child bringing toy dinosaurs to life through imagination.

Claynosaurz attracted early attention on Solana, generating over $600,000 in trading volume within two weeks of launch. Its creators have continued to develop new features whilst maintaining a focus on storytelling and animated content.

          Source: Claynosaurz

What can you expect from the expansion?

The expansion to Sui will introduce several new components such as an achievement system that tracks activity and engagement across the Claynosaurz ecosystem. Whilst Solana-based NFTs will still be supported, achievement tokens will be minted exclusively on Sui.

Following this, the project will release a new collection called Popkins. The collection introduces 25,000 new digital characters, but instead of using a traditional NFT minting process, the team will issue digital booster packs. Each pack contains a chance to receive a Popkin or a species card. Some packs may also include cosmetic items or other digital content, though details on pricing and distribution have not yet been made public.

The final item on the near-term roadmap is a mobile game, planned for release in 2025. The game will feature real-time dinosaur battles and will initially be available on iOS and Android with support for the SuiPlay0X1 handheld console expected to follow.

Developers have stated that blockchain elements will be handled in the background, making the game accessible to players without requiring prior knowledge of web3 technology.
