Let’s not get it mistaken, since Forza Horizon 6 has so many cars to acquire, your garage can fill up extremely quickly, especially if you’re finishing first every race or trying your best to secure as many Wheelspins as possible.
Before long, you’ll probably have a bunch of vehicles you simply don’t need and you might as well turn these into cold, hard cash.
Sadly, there isn’t a simple ‘sell car’ button, so you will have to jump through a couple of hoops to secure those Credits.
How to sell cars in Forza Horizon 6
The only way you can sell cars in Forza Horizon 6 is through the Auction House. This means, as we just alluded to, you can’t directly quick-sell vehicles from your garage for an instant payout.
To sell a car, you’ll need to list it on the Auction House, set your buyout and starting bid where possible, and then wait to see if another player picks it up. If you’re unsure where to find it, the Auction House can be accessed via the Buy & Sell tab in the menu.
Once your listed car sells, you’ll receive Credits after the auction is complete.
What this does mean is that selling cars is a little more dependent on demand. Rare, expensive, high-performance, or hard-to-find vehicles are naturally more likely to attract buyers, while common, early-game cars are almost worthless.
Can you remove cars without selling them?
If your main goal is simply to make space in your garage, you can use the Gift Drop system to your advantage.
This allows you to give cars away to other players, removing them from your garage in the process. It’s a solid way of clearing out duplicates or vehicles you know you’ll never use, and someone else may actually get a nice surprise out of it.
However, the obvious catch is that you won’t receive any Credits for using Gift Drop.
So, if you want money back, use the Auction House. If you just want to declutter your garage as fast as possible, Gift Drop is the option you’ll need to opt for.
