Recently, Infini Card — once seen as a fast-growing crypto payment player — abruptly shut down its global crypto card business. The shutdown has reignited industry concerns over the sustainability of crypto payment business models. Thin cash flows, shrinking profit margins, rising compliance costs, and elevated settlement expenses ultimately overwhelmed the platform’s financial capacity. But while Infini’s collapse is still fresh, a new wave of platforms is emerging with even more complex financial structures designed to extend the illusion of fast growth.

Among them, KAST has gained significant attention by providing up to 10% cashback in Kast points that diverges sharply from traditional cashback logic. Unlike conventional cashback, where users receive spendable cash or stablecoins after each transaction, KAST offers reward points that cannot be redeemed immediately. These points can only be converted into KAST’s native token after a future Token Generation Event (TGE). Even then, users face unlock schedules and secondary market volatility before any real cashback can occur.

The high cashback rates easily attract users, who may overlook that what they’re receiving is essentially a deferred, unguaranteed token generation promise.

At its core, every point issued is a future redemption obligation. As the pool of outstanding points grows, the system’s dependency on new capital inflows and future token price appreciation deepens. Continuous user acquisition and fresh liquidity injections are required to absorb the eventual selling pressure in the secondary market. If user growth slows or market conditions deteriorate, systemic redemption risk can surface rapidly.

Some platforms may indirectly rely on ongoing venture funding to act as a backstop — propping up token prices, maintaining market confidence, and delaying redemption pressure. While these capital infusions are often presented as growth funding, portions of them may effectively be diverted toward supporting token liquidity and price stability, masking the system’s underlying fragility.

When market conditions reversed, funding dried up, and regulators stepped in, these systems unraveled with astonishing speed, leaving behind a trail of collapsed tokens and unrecoverable user losses.

Unlike Infini, which directly burned through cash while propping up unsustainable cashback offers, KAST shifts the burden to the future through tokenization. Short-term it appears healthy, but long -term redemption liabilities are becoming bigger and bigger.The combination of volatile token prices, uncertain unlocking schedules, fragile secondary market liquidity, and escalating reliance on ongoing fundraising creates a delicate systemic risk that may eventually unwind sharply.

Regulatory uncertainty further complicates these models. Are such tokenized cashback schemes effectively unregistered securities? Do they cross into the realm of illicit fundraising? Have users been given full, transparent disclosure of their true redemption rights and risks? In a global environment of rapidly evolving crypto regulation, these questions may get more and more attentions from regulators.

In an industry where stable profitability remains elusive, the business model needs to return to fundamentals: real profits fund cashback; rewards are immediate and spendable; and users’ rights are clear, predictable, and free from complicated token economics.

Infini’s collapse may not be an isolated incident. As tokenized cashback models continue to expand aggressively, perhaps now is the moment for the industry to pause and reflect on what truly constitutes sustainable financial innovation.

The more compelling the growth story sounds, the more important it becomes to recognize the ballooning redemption hole quietly growing behind it.

Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Smart Glasses experiences


I jumped on the smart glasses rocketship, thanks to the Sulava Gulf who decided to gift to us all employees with smart glasses to embrace the AI-Native work! About two weeks, one conference in Paris, visit to our office at Dubai, and countless “Hey Meta…” moments later, here’s my take.

Before continuing, here are key tech specs for Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Smart Glasses

12 MP ultra-wide camera for HD photos and video. 3,024 x 4,032 pixels for images, 1,440 x 1,920 pixels @30 FPS for videos.

Two custom-built open-ear speakers and a 5-mic array with Bluetooth connectivity

32 GB flash storage (500+ photos, 100+ 30s videos)

Live Streaming

Up to 36 hours battery life with fully charged case; up to 4 hours on a single charge. Up to 30 minutes of live streaming.

No AR? No Problem!

“Will I end up looking at some tiny hologram?”

That was my first concern.  I’m at that age where near‑focus vision isn’t what it used to be. To my relief, the Wayfarers are completely display‑free: no mini‑screens, no floating widgets, and nothing to strain my eyes. Everything happens through voice commands or a quick tap on the temple, leaving my vision untouched and my hands free. After using glasses for some time, this is how it should be – having a natural conversation with the AI.

From a distance they could pass for any regular pair of Ray‑Bans: classic shape, familiar finish. The only giveaways are tiny cameras lens near the hinge and a slightly thicker temple where the electronics hide. That understatement is perfect for me: they look good great for everyday wear, nothing flashy, and most people won’t notice they’re “smart” unless pointed out.

Simplicity matters when you’re already juggling coffee, laptop bag and conference badge.

 Photos & Video on Tap

Imagine this: keynote speaker drops a killer slide, everyone scrambles for their phones – I just tap the button in glasses, click, and the slide is saved from my eye‑level angle. Sure, sporting sunglasses in a dim keynote hall feels a bit odd, but those puzzled looks can’t compare for the slide capture.

The photo quality is not bad, but are a bit darker rather than living colored. Pictures are always portrait, and not wide.

Video is also extremely useful. Walking outside and seeing something you want record? Long‑press the button, and video is recording.  Think about walking at expo, following the event, or just capturing moments & feelings?

A few practical notes:

LED indicator does its privacy job. People notice the light and may then know I’m recording.

Audio capture is surprisingly rich thanks to the five‑mic array as it focuses on your voice more than to the chatter.

All of that without whipping out a phone or fumbling for the record button. Very useful!

Field testing

Paris, June 2025. I was at the Modern Workplace Conference Paris 2025 surrounded by rapid‑fire French. Flip the glasses into Live Translation mode, and after a brief one‑to‑few‑seconds pause the chatter morphs into English in my ears. The first time it happened I literally mouthed “wow” it felt like a sci‑fi moment.

The good:

Close‑range clarity. Conversation partners within ~2–3 m? After a brief 1–2 s delay the English voice‑over arrived – impressively good, not flawless, but better than I feared.

Sign spotting. I tested it on an information sign beside a pond “Hey Meta, translate what I’m looking at” turned the French text into crisp English. Menus were already bilingual, but random signs like this really showed the feature’s value. Unfortunately this doesn’t work for many languages, but French was one of those.

The not‑so‑good:

Crowd chaos. Multiple voices? Background music? Not so good.

Language limitations. Right now Meta supports English ↔ French, Italian, Spanish. Anything beyond that and you get your phone out.

Then some pictures have really nice colors, resembling the reality.

I also gave them good use on my trip to Dubai, as the future (and day) is very bright there! Walking outside and wanting to capture a moment – just click on the button. The same for recording, it is easy and intuitive. I even took them to the pool, when I had a few hours off time, and listened music & took a few pictures. Note: glasses are IPX4 rated, which means they can tolerate splashes but not soaking or immersing glasses in the water! These are not meant to be used during swimming, so I was very careful when using them in water for picture taking.

No, I did not have a hat at the pool 🤣🤠

Bottom line: promising but the scifi future is not there yet. However tech is improving every day, and glasses continue getting updates.

 “Hey Meta, What Am I Looking At?”

Armed with curiosity, I have spent some time testing Meta’s object‑recognition. Point at a landmark, ask: “Hey Meta, what am I looking at?”

Emirates Towers were identified correctly, but I would have been very disappointed if that would not happened.

Sometimes this rocks, and sometimes … it is out of ideas. This is due to no location context. The glasses lack GPS, so the AI must rely solely on camera input and cloud smarts. Give it a famous skyline silhouette and it aces the test; give it something niche and the answer explains I am looking at a statue with certain features.

Still, when it does click, it feels great!

Navigation with Google Maps using Voice UI

Confession: I get lost easily. Pairing the glasses with Google Maps audio guidance was a great feature. AI directs me with voice, my eyes stay on lively scooter traffic, and my phone stays pocketed.

The experience highlights why audio‑first wearables rock:

No more staring at phone (except occasionally checking).

Continuous situational awareness.

Subtle cues – nobody knows I’m being navigated except me.

I only wish I could start the route by voice. For now, I unlock the phone, set the destination, then slide it away.

Conversational Copilot Chats 

Instead of typing into Teams on my phone, I fire up Microsoft Copilot through the glasses and start an audio dialogue:

“Copilot, draft three hook sentences about using AI at work.”

If – when! – Microsoft 365 Copilot goes fully voice‑native, imagine chatting about your work content, planning meetings, preparing content to Word PowerPoint while strolling outside without a phone in your hand and looking cool. Of course I can do this with Bluetooth headset too, but glasses are so much cooler on this one.

Prescription or not?

In my haste I chose non‑prescription black lenses. Big mistake? Maybe. Reading and typing on phone requires my real glasses. But the upside: I can pass the Wayfarers around, let colleagues test drive the tech, and spread the smart‑glasses usability examples.

Pro tip: if you need vision correction and plan to make these your daily drivers, bite the bullet and order prescription from day one. Remember, lenses aren’t swappable and can’t be retro-fitted.

What I Still Miss

Deeper AI context. The assistant should remember my previous question, know I’m staring at a statue, and answer accordingly.

True spatial awareness. GPS (or phone‑tethered location) plus a bit of computer vision would unlock place‑based info and smarter search.

Voice‑only everything. From launching navigation to sending WhatsApp voice notes remove the last phone tap.

Wider language coverage. Arabic, Nordic tongues, Asian languages, you name it. Let’s break the barriers already!

Each of these gaps is a roadmap opportunity. Fingers crossed we’ll see progress in the next firmware update (or the inevitable next-gen hardware).

Conclusion 

Are Ray‑Ban Meta Wayfarers perfect? Nope but they’re a thrilling glimpse into a future where voice is the new UI and cameras sit at eye level. For certain tasks like POV content, discreet audio, quick language help, working as handsfree or headset, glasses already beat pulling out a phone.

Give them smarter AI and wider language support, and we’ll smile knowingly at the days we carried slabs of glass in hand. Until then, I’m happily tapping my temple, enjoying the half‑magic, and dreaming of the full‑on sci‑fi version.

Unlike many blockchain-based games that depend on centralized services like AWS, Moonveil and ICN aim to demonstrate that genuine decentralization is both achievable and inevitable. Bitcoin Surges After Trump Announces Iran-Israel Ceasefire | Crypto Market Recovers


Metaverseplanet.net – Bitcoin prices surged sharply after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a comprehensive ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Iran. Trump made the announcement via his Truth Social account, stating: “A full and definitive ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Iran.”

Reuters later confirmed that Iranian officials accepted the ceasefire, while Iran’s Foreign Minister clarified that the ceasefire would only be valid if Israel halts its attacks.

Following these developments, Bitcoin climbed by around 6% as Asian markets opened. The cryptocurrency soared from $100,000 to nearly $106,000 during early trading hours before slightly retreating to around $105,000. This rebound helped Bitcoin recover its recent losses.

Bitcoin Dipped Below $100,000 After U.S. Airstrikes

Earlier this week, Bitcoin fell below $100,000 for the first time since early May due to U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. However, the cryptocurrency didn’t stay at these levels for long and began a recovery as geopolitical tensions began to ease.

U.S. stock futures also reacted positively to Trump’s announcement. S&P 500 futures saw modest gains, and analysts now expect U.S. markets to open higher today.

According to Michaël van de Poppe, founder of MN Capital, the de-escalation of potential global conflict may begin to shift macro-financial dynamics. He suggests that:

A weaker U.S. dollar,

A stronger Chinese yuan,

Gold entering consolidation,

and falling interest ratescould push Bitcoin and the broader crypto market into the biggest bull cycle in history.

Crypto Market Cap Grows by $170 Billion

Trump’s ceasefire announcement sparked a strong rally across the crypto markets, not just for Bitcoin. Over the past 12 hours, total crypto market capitalization surged by around $170 billion, reaching $3.35 trillion.

Ethereum (ETH) saw an 8% gain, reaching $2,400. However, analysts point out that a sustained recovery requires Ethereum to hold above $2,500.

Other major altcoins also recorded strong gains:

Solana (SOL): +9.2%

XRP: +9%

Sui: +16%

Chainlink (LINK): +12.5%

Avalanche (AVAX): +8.5%

This indicates that investor interest in the crypto market is once again rising.

Glassnode: New Bitcoin Pivot Zone at $97,000–$98,000

Blockchain analytics firm Glassnode identified the $97,000–$98,000 range as a technically significant support zone for Bitcoin. Based on their Cost Basis Distribution (CBD) analysis, a large portion of Bitcoin supply has concentrated around this price range.

Glassnode notes that investors often view pullbacks to this level as buying opportunities. During the recent downturn, Bitcoin tested this zone and subsequently rebounded. However, if geopolitical risks intensify again, this zone could play a key role as the next pivot area.

Investor Behavior: Demand Driven by “Faithful Buyers”

Glassnode also examined investor behavior by grouping Bitcoin holders into five categories:

First-time buyers

Momentum traders

Buy-the-dip investors

Loss-sellers

Profit-takers

In the past two weeks, the share of loss-sellers—those exiting the market at a loss—increased by 29%, indicating that weak hands are being flushed out.

Meanwhile, the number of “faithful buyers”—those purchasing during price dips—also rose. This suggests that market sentiment has not completely collapsed, and that some investors are actively working to lower their cost basis and strengthen their positions.

Decentralized finance (DeFi) platform NAVI Protocol, operating on the Sui network, has established a time-limited partnership with centralized exchange OKX and the Sui Foundation to introduce xBTC lending and borrowing over a two-month period. The initiative aims to broaden the practical applications of xBTC, contributing to the development of Bitcoin-focused DeFi services within the Sui ecosystem.

The partnership offers xBTC liquidity providers access to borrowing incentives in Sui and USDC, in addition to rewards for liquidity provision. These measures are intended to increase the functional integration of xBTC, enabling users to optimize their BTC-based assets through supported borrowing mechanisms. This approach is expected to expand xBTC activity on Sui, resulting in improved liquidity and more robust network participation.

As part of the program, OKX will distribute SUI token incentives via its OKX Earn platform, while NAVI Protocol will allocate $500,000 in NAVX rewards to support user engagement during the campaign.

OKX Launches $200K SUI Incentive Program To Boost xBTC Lending On NAVI Protocol With Phased Rollout Starting June 24

In addition, OKX will allocate $200,000 in SUI token incentives to users who provide xBTC through the OKX Earn platform and engage in borrowing activities on NAVI Protocol. The incentive structure is designed to encourage active participation and support the broader development of the integrated DeFi ecosystem.

The campaign will follow a phased rollout. Incentivized borrowing pools for xBTC will be activated on NAVI Protocol starting June 24th. On June 27th, borrowing incentives will become available for users contributing USDC liquidity. By July 7th, the program will extend to include incentives for SUI liquidity providers.

“By partnering with OKX, we’re bringing xBTC to Sui to enhance Bitcoin’s DeFi utility. Users can supply and borrow against BTC with incentives, advancing cross-chain access and pushing scalability for the #1 crypto asset in the industry. We’re committed to connecting deep liquidity with practical DeFi applications,” said Elliscope Fang, co-founder of NAVI Protocol, in a statement to Mpost. “Following this partnership with OKX, we are planning to link token locks to governance and rewards, empowering users to shape NAVI Protocol’s decentralized future on the Sui blockchain,” he added.

This collaboration highlights NAVI Protocol’s broader aim of expanding access to DeFi while reinforcing Sui’s role as a prominent network for Bitcoin-based financial applications. Participants engaging through NAVI’s interface or via OKX Earn gain access to substantial liquidity and time-limited incentives made available through the initiative.
