The Road Continues with the Zegna Mocassin

The Road Continues with the Zegna Mocassin

Mads Mikkelsen wearing the Zegna Mocassin.(ZEGNA)

If you could have just one word to describe Zegna as a luxury fashion brand, it’s ease. Ease in the way artistic director Alessandro Sartori conceptualises how the modern man’s wardrobe should be, and how that aesthetic translates into the Italian spirit. There is no overcomplicating design in Zegna’s oeuvre. Its billowy silhouettes, while roomy, are impeccably cut in a way that you’re not drowning in them. And then there’s the intentional emphasis on design elements that make slipping in and out of almost everything seamless. You know… ease.

(ZEGNA)

Much like its beloved Triple Stitch, the Mocassin is set to be a perennial offering designed to perfectly match anything within the Zegna aesthetic and beyond. Before you think we’ve erred in the spelling, “Mocassin” is adapted from the way founder Ermenegildo Zegna would pronounce “moccasin” in his Piedmontese dialect. The idea of a modern moccasin is in itself an adaptation of Native American-origin footwear that has travelled through the ages to other parts of the world, including Europe.

(ZEGNA)

The Mocassin bears a resemblance to the modern moc with the distinct U-shaped stitching along the vamp that echoes the detailed craftsmanship that Zegna is known for. What sets the Mocassin apart is in how it’s intended to be worn and hence, crafted. For starters, the leather chosen is refined using time- honoured tanning techniques honed by Italian craftsmen to ensure durability, resistance as well as an unparalleled suppleness. This means that the Mocassin—whether in its nubuck or leather iterations—is pliable and soft enough to be worn without socks as a nod to the effortless elegance of true Italian style.

Like every Zegna design, the Mocassin is logo-free. The footwear’s tell is subtle and almost poetic—a liner symbol that stretches across the vamp representing the 232 Road paved by Ermenegildo in the 1930s that has since become the brand’s key signifier. Not only does it symbolise the connection between past and present, it is also the long road that Zegna takes to achieve perfection in ensuring that its pieces are timeless and of long-lasting quality.

The Mocassin is designed to mature beautifully, taking on the creases and folds with every step as marks of where you’ve been and where you’ll be going. And doing it all with comfort and ease.

The Mocassin is now available in Zegna boutiques.

Brunello Cucinelli Deliver’s “Gentle Luxury” For Spring/Summer 2025

Brunello Cucinelli Deliver’s “Gentle Luxury” For Spring/Summer 2025

Inspired by the French Riviera and desert dunes, Brunello Cucinelli’s Spring/ Summer 2025 collection features relaxed tailoring and nautical striped shirts with a twist

The French Riviera has long served as a source of inspiration for fashion brands, but few have interpreted its charm in such a refreshing way as Brunello Cucinelli has. For Spring/Summer 2025, the Italian luxury brand looked not just to the glittering coasts of the Mediterranean but also to its desert dunes to inform the colours and textures of its collection.

Silk column skirt with Glistening Waterfall Embroidery

The collection, titled Echoes of a Journey, comprises versatile “matching sets” for every occasion. The outfits offer an easy elegance, something that will be familiar to loyal Brunello Cucinelli fans. That’s true even for the tailored looks: lightweight blazers in linen and hemp are paired with loose, relaxed trousers, ensembles that you can imagine let you feel the breeze as it passes through. These suits come in colours that are easy on the eyes, like the soft blue of a clear sky, earthy brown shades like “cacao” and “chocolate”, or an alluring dusty red that Brunello Cucinelli introduces for the season.

Cotton organza jacket and skirt with Dazzling Stripe Embroidery

To complete the set, and to drive home the collection’s nautical inspirations, the suits are styled with striped tops. That includes knit T-shirts that Brunello Cucinelli elevates with a touch of glamour, via sequin-embellished necklines. There are also breezy dress shirts in organza, which are buttoned only halfway or worn tucked out, not in—creating a look that is casual and cool.

Foliage lace blazer in silk and linen

Given that the Italian luxury brand made its name with its exceptional fabrics, it is little wonder that its use of materials and textile techniques continues to be a delight to discover. This season, Brunello Cucinelli softens its menswear-inspired shirting and jackets with sparkling embroidery that catches the eye like the glittering sea. There is the brand’s signature, subtle Monili embroidery to be found along shirt collars, but also the bolder Dazzling Stripe Embroidery, which features rows of shimmering sequins that have been carefully sewn all across the delicate, sheer fabrics of the shirts.

Brunello Cucinelli plays with textures by using textile techniques like embroidery, macramé and fringing across its collection

There are other craftsmanship feats to be found in Brunello Cucinelli’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, namely in the knitwear pieces. The Foliage Lace blazer somehow maintains its structure even though it is constructed with a soft lace featuring a nature-inspired pattern. The jacket is even lined — with sheer organza, all the better to show off the jacket’s incredible openwork design.

The Italian brand also introduces its signature BC Duo bag in new fabrics, like suede

Elsewhere, a more abstract foliage pattern can be found on a brown macramé top that is adorned all over with strands of sequins, which undoubtedly took hours to craft by hand. The macramé piece looks stunning in movement, as do the silk tops and skirts that are embroidered with cascading fringes of clear sequins. Those dazzling pieces can obviously be worn in the evening, but they will do just as well in the day, if you pair them with the collection’s more minimalist pieces like a slouchy sweater or a safari vest.

Brunello Cucinelli continued its experiments with textiles on this season’s accessories, too. There is a standout clutch covered in fringes of three-dimensional sequins and knots, and another that features the openwork Foliage Lace design. The new BC Duo bags also capture the collection’s travel-inspired mood, including large totes in suede and smaller bucket bags in denim.

Brunello Cucinelli Spring/Summer 2025

Brunello Cucinelli also has you covered with its eyewear collection, which is made under a license with EssilorLuxottica. The Italian brand’s sophisticated aesthetic is translated into a series of versatile and lightweight optical glasses and sunglasses. The eyewear designs also feature the use of exceptional materials like titanium and 18-karat gold, and they are crafted in Italy and Japan—two countries known for producing the finest sunglasses in the world.

The beauty of the French Riviera is very much alive in Brunello Cucinelli’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, as is the fashion brand’s dedication to fine craftsmanship. You can bet that these sophisticated styles will last you a lifetime, too—wherever your journey takes you.

Guide To Buying & Authenticating Preowned Louis Vuitton

Guide To Buying & Authenticating Preowned Louis Vuitton

Guide To  Buying & Authenticating Preowned LV Handbag

Owning a Louis Vuitton product is on the wishlist of innumerable fashion connoisseurs. It isn’t just about being stylish—it is symbolic of high-end taste, status, and success. Carrying an LV bag is a statement in itself, the benchmark of luxury. It whispers subtle sophistication, reflecting a legacy of exceptional craftsmanship, iconic design, and cultural cachet.

Among the brand’s storied offerings, its handbags stand out as enduring investments. Whether it’s the brand’s impeccable quality standards, limited-edition appeal, or high-resale value, Louis Vuitton bags are more than accessories—they’re assets.

What Makes Louis Vuitton Bags Hold—Even Grow—their Value?

The glamour of Louis Vuitton’s isn’t just stitched into its logos—it’s woven into a legacy of innovation, artistry, and uncompromising craftsmanship. These bags are wearable investments, consistently commanding (and sometimes increasing) their worth. Here’s what makes LV pieces masterpieces:

1. Iconic, Timeless Materials

Monogram Canvas: Not leather, but coated canvas—ultra-durable, water-resistant, and virtually indestructible. Its lightweight toughness is why vintage pieces still look sharp decades later.
Vachetta Leather: This untreated cowhide ages like fine wine, developing a rich honey patina unique to each owner. It’s a signature LV look—and a hallmark of authenticity.
Epi Leather: Scratch-resistant, structured, and quietly luxe. Perfect for those who like their style subtle but strong.
Empreinte Leather: Supple, grained calfskin embossed with the iconic monogram. Soft to the touch, tough in spirit.

2. Investment-Grade Hardware

Zippers, clasps, rivets—all built with precision and purpose. LV uses gold-tone or solid brass hardware engraved with the logo. It’s smooth, weighty, and enduring—unlike the flimsy components on counterfeits.

3. Immaculate Stitching

Louis Vuitton doesn’t just sew; it sculpts. Uniform, mustard-yellow stitches—especially around handle tabs—signal expert craftsmanship. (Fun fact: the top of each handle tab usually has five exact stitches. Yes, they’re that precise.)

4. Cult Classics That Have Created Their Own League

Think: Speedy, Neverfull, Alma, Capucines. These icons don’t just hold value—they generate it. Timeless, coveted, and always in style, they’ve become cornerstone collectibles in the fashion world.

5. The Rare Editions, Quirky Innovations and Bold Collaborations

Louis Vuitton thrives on reinvention, never shying away from pushing boundaries. Whether you think of Yayoi Kusama’s whimsical dots or the hype beast fever dream of the Supreme collab, these pieces often become instant grails, appreciating dramatically on the resale market. And those quietly discontinued designs? They become even rarer and more desirable.

6. The Brand’s Iconic Status

Founded in 1854, Louis Vuitton has evolved from trunk-maker to global icon. The brand’s prestige is now woven into culture, art, and aspiration. That kind of legacy doesn’t just hold value—it multiplies it.

Want to Own an LV Handbag?

Preowned LV Handbag The Luxury Closet

If the brown monogram and Damier print have been on your wishlist for the longest time, it’s time to own one. Take a moment to reflect on why an Louis Vuitton bag in the first place. Your motivation will shape your choices—from your style to how much you’re willing to spend.

Why Do You Want To Buy an LV Bag?

To Own a Piece of Luxury: You’ve always admired LV and want to make that dream come true. It’s more than a bag; it’s a personal milestone.
To Turn Heads: Whether at brunch, a boardroom, or a black-tie event, an LV bag adds instant presence and polish.
For Investment: LV bags—primarily classic models and limited editions—can hold or even increase in value over time.
To Gift Someone Special: Gifting a Louis Vuitton is the ultimate luxury gesture, and buying pre-owned lets you do it with both style and smarts.

So, now that your reason is clear, it’s time to start browsing. And yes, the prices might give you sticker shock. But before you spiral into the sketchy corners of the internet in search of a bargain—stop right there. You don’t need to risk a counterfeit or click on suspicious deals. Just opt for a certified pre-owned Louis Vuitton and get the real deal—at a smarter price.

Understand the Benefits of Buying a Pre-Owned Louis Vuitton Instead of a Brand New One

Cost Savings

You can own a coveted Louis Vuitton piece at a fraction of its original retail price. Pre-owned doesn’t mean worn out—many bags are in like-new condition but come with thousands shaved off the price tag.

Authenticity

Reputable platforms like The Luxury Closet authenticate every item, so you’re not just getting a designer name—you’re getting peace of mind. Each detail is examined, from stitching to serial codes, so there’s no second-guessing your purchase.

Sustainability Factor

Luxury fashion isn’t fast fashion. By buying pre-owned, you’re supporting a circular economy and reducing waste. It’s style with a conscience—good for the planet, great for your wardrobe.

Access to Limited Edition Pieces

The resale market is the only place to score that sold-out Takashi Murakami Speedy or the Supreme x LV collab. For collectors and connoisseurs, pre-owned is often the only way in.

Now, armed with the knowledge, let’s find your coveted bag one step at a time

Step #1: Research Where to Buy Pre-Owned LV

Each resale platform claims trustworthiness and reliability—but not all deliver. You’re investing your hard-earned money; hence, look before you leap. Opt for platforms specializing in authenticated luxury and having a solid reputation for quality. Before zeroing in on the bag, get familiar with client ratings, reviews, and testimonials.

What to Look for in a Trusted Seller:

Professional Authentication Process (ideally in-house + third-party verification)
Detailed condition grading (with real photos—not stock images!)
Clear return policy (because peace of mind matters)
Customer reviews & reputation
Sustainability practices (because luxury should be conscious, too)

Top Sources to Consider:

Reputable luxury resale platforms like The Luxury Closet, Fashionphile, Vestiaire Collective, and Rebag. (If a website feels shady, skips details, or uses generic photos—walk away).
Certified consignment stores
Brick-and-mortar vintage boutiques (especially in cities like Paris, Tokyo, or NYC)
Auction houses for rare or limited-edition pieces (but do your research!)

Step 2: How to Know if Your Louis Vuitton Bag is Real?

Even with reputable sellers, knowing how to do your own authentication check is always smart.

Key Things to Inspect:

Monogram Alignment: This should be symmetrical and consistent across seams.
Material: LV canvas looks coated and textured, not slick or glossy
Stitching: Clean, even, and mustard-colored.
Hardware: Engraved, not printed. It feels solid, not light.
Date Code: Found inside the bag (but remember: fakes can copy codes, too).
Font Details: Round “O,” short-tailed “L,” no funky spacing.

Pro Tip:

Want full peace of mind? Use Entrupy verification—a high-tech tool that analyzes micro details to detect fakes with near-perfect accuracy, or have it reviewed by a third-party expert.

Step 3: Know the Condition – And What You’re Paying For

One of the trickiest parts of pre-owned shopping? Understanding grading systems.Terms like “Good,” “Excellent,” or “Like New” vary from seller to seller.

A General Breakdown:

Fair: Noticeable wear. It’s still functional but not a showstopper.
Good: Some visible signs of use are light scratches and softened leather.
Very Good/Excellent: Minimal wear, clean interior, great structure.
Like New: Barely used, often includes original packaging or tags.

Always read the description carefully and zoom in on photos. Don’t assume—ask if something’s unclear.

Step 4: Evaluating if the Bag is Worth the Quoted Price

Just because a Louis Vuitton bag is listed at a “pre-owned price” doesn’t automatically make it a good deal. Not all listings are created equal, and not every vintage piece commands the same resale value.

To avoid overpaying, take a moment to assess whether the quoted price matches the true worth of the bag.

Key Factors That Influence Value:

Style: Classic bags like the Speedy, Neverfull, and Alma retain high value. Limited editions or discontinued styles can fetch even more.
Condition: Is it in excellent shape or showing wear? Pay attention to scratches, stains, patina, scuffs, and interior marks.
Age: Older bags can still be valuable—especially if they’re vintage—but condition and rarity matter more than age.
Material: Canvas ages better and costs less than exotic leathers or special-edition materials.
Current Market Demand: Some bags become trendy again overnight (hello, Y2K revival), which can spike resale value.

Pro Tip:

Search for the same style on multiple platforms to compare prices. Look at the condition notes, hardware wear, patina level, and interior cleanliness to decide if the one you’re eyeing is pretty priced or overpriced.

A great deal isn’t just about numbers—it’s about value for what you’re getting.

Step 5: Make the Purchase and Prepare for Delivery

So, you’ve found the one. The bag that checks all your boxes fits your budget and sets your heart racing. Now, it’s time to seal the deal.

What to Keep in Mind When Placing the Order:

Double-check the product details—especially condition notes and return policies.
Choose secure payment methods like credit cards or trusted payment gateways.
Some platforms offer installment plans or buy now, pay later options—perfect to spread out the cost.
Ensure you’re buying from a platform that provides insured, trackable shipping.

While You Wait…

You’ll likely get a confirmation email with tracking info.
Some platforms do a final round of authentication after you place the order, which adds a bit of wait time—but it’s totally worth it.
Be patient: great things (and fabulous bags) take time to arrive.

When It Arrives:

Inspect the bag thoroughly as soon as it’s delivered.
Take unboxing photos/videos if possible—just in case there’s an issue you need to raise.
Save all receipts, tags, and packaging. These boost your resale value later and will be helpful for repair purposes.

So, your dream LV bag has finally arrived. You’ve unboxed it, admired it, maybe even twirled with it in front of the mirror (no shame). But if you want it to stay iconic for years to come, you’ve got to treat it right.

How to Preserve & Restore Louis Vuitton Bags Like a Collector

Think of your LV bag like a vintage car—luxury lasts when it’s loved properly.

Best Preservation Practices:

Keep it in its dust bag, in an upright position, stuffed with acid-free tissue (not newspaper) or bubble wrap to ensure it retains its shape.

Avoid Water and Sunlight:

This is especially true for Vachetta leather. Water leaves dark stains that are hard to reverse, and sunlight causes it to tan unevenly.

Oils and lotions can cause uneven patina or staining.

Finally, do not overload the bag. The weight inside should be evenly distributed to help it maintain its shape in the long run.

Cleaning Tips by Material:

Wipe with a damp cloth or alcohol-free baby wipe. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Leave it as it is. Let it age naturally. If necessary, clean only with a soft, dry microfiber cloth or professional-grade products.

Interior Fabric (Alcantara or Microfiber):

Use a lint roller or a soft brush to remove dust and dirt gently.

Pro tip: Air the bag out if stored for long periods—no one wants a musty Monogram.

When to Seek Professional Help:

Cracked leather, deep stains, or hardware damage?

You can send your bag to a luxury handbag restoration expert like The Restory, Leather Surgeons, or your region’s top artisan. for scratches, stains, or sagging.
They can clean, recondition, and even restore patina or re-edge paint trims.

Want to Sell It Back? Here’s How to Do It Right

Yes, your LV bag can go on to live another fabulous life—and earn you some serious resale cash. Many LV styles appreciate value over time—especially if you’ve cared for them well. If you’re ready to part with your beloved bag (or make room for your next luxury obsession), here’s how to ensure a smooth and profitable resale.

#1. Ensure It is in the Best Possible Condition

Before listing your bag, take a critical look: Does it need a little sprucing up? If there are signs of wear—like scuffed corners, peeling leather, or loose stitching—consider having it professionally restored. Go only to reputed designer bag repair specialists who understand luxury materials and brand-specific techniques.

Pro Tip: If restoration costs more than the bag’s resale value, selling it as is is wiser. Be transparent about the condition and price it accordingly.

#2. Document Everything

Take clear, well-lit photos from every angle—front, back, corners, interior, hardware, serial number.
Provide exact measurements and a detailed description of the condition.
Include images of any wear and tear—transparency builds buyer trust.
If you have the original box, receipt, authenticity card, and dust bag, you are armed with authenticity— these can significantly boost resale value.

#3. Know Your Bag’s Resale Value

Research similar listings on trusted platforms to get a realistic price range.
Condition, rarity, material, and current demand all affect resale pricing.
Some platforms offer free bag evaluations—use that to your advantage.

#4. Choose a Trusted Resale Platform

List the bag for sale on reputable sites specializing in luxury resale and authentication services, like The Luxury Closet. This will help you connect with genuine buyers.
Opt for consignment (they sell on your behalf) or direct selling (you get paid upfront), depending on how fast you want the cash.

#5. Stay Safe and Professional

Never meet random buyers in person for high-value bags.
Use secure shipping with insurance if you’re mailing the bag.
Read the terms: some platforms deduct a commission fee or require exclusivity for a set period.

Pro Tip:

Bags in “Excellent” condition with complete packaging sell the fastest and fetch the highest returns. A well-maintained Neverfull or Speedy can sell like hotcakes—especially in classic prints.

Selling your LV doesn’t mean saying goodbye—it means making space for your next luxury chapter.

A Treasure that Needs To Be Treasured- Whether Bought Or Sold

Whether buying your first LV or selling one you’ve cherished, doing it wisely ensures your luxury experience is as fabulous as the bag. 25 Best Sneaker Brands for Men & Women – The Ultimate Guide

25 Best Sneaker Brands for Men & Women – The Ultimate Guide

The Ultimate Buyer’s Guide for best sneakers brand for Men & Women!

Have you seen a bride wearing sneakers with her wedding gown? No, she is definitely not planning an escape—it’s just the latest fashion ‘ín’ thing! Sneakers have transcended their athletic origins to become a statement piece everywhere, from red carpets to luxury parties and even black-tie weddings.

Once purely designed for grip, support, and durability, sneakers have evolved into a symbol of high fashion, status, and cultural relevance. Celebrities like Kristen Stewart, Chloé Zhao, Hailee Steinfeld, Sienna Miller, and Rihanna have all styled sneakers with couture gowns. But how did we go from humble rubber-soled sports shoes to luxury sneakers gracing Fashion Weeks and Hollywood events? It’s time to break it down.

From Sports Gear to High Fashion: The Sneaker Revolution

1. The Birth of Sneakers: A Sports Essential

In the early 20th century, sneakers were all about performance. Brands like Converse, Adidas, and Puma introduced specialized basketball, running, and tennis shoes. The goal? To help athletes move faster, jump higher, and perform better. These shoes stayed firmly in sports and casual wear for decades.

2. The Rise of Sneaker Culture in Streetwear

By the 1980s and 1990s, sneakers had become mainstream fashion thanks to hip-hop, skateboarding, and basketball culture. The Air Jordan phenomenon, driven by Michael Jordan’s dominance on and off the court, turned sneakers into status symbols. Nike, Adidas, and Reebok started collaborating with musicians, artists, and athletes, making sneakers a representation of identity and personal style.

3. Designer Brands Saw the Potential

Luxury fashion houses weren’t about to miss out on the sneaker revolution. Seeing the demand for stylish, everyday footwear, brands like Gucci and Prada began incorporating sneakers into their collections in the early 2000s. Soon, high-end labels like Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and Alexander McQueen elevated sneakers into a luxury category, crafting them with premium materials, cutting-edge designs, and jaw-dropping price tags.

4. Sneakers Accepted as a Status Symbol

Sneakers are presently more than just casual footwear—they’re collectibles, investments, and even art pieces. Limited-edition releases, celebrity collaborations, and exclusive drops have turned sneakers into assets that appreciate value. Wearing high-fashion sneakers isn’t just about comfort; it’s a statement of taste, wealth, and cultural awareness.

5. The Functionality & Comfort Factor

Honestly and practically, high heels and stiff dress shoes aren’t always the most comfortable choice for a night out. As social norms relaxed, people started prioritizing comfort without sacrificing style. Luxury sneakers bridge that gap, offering elegance and ease, making them a respectable option at high-end parties, events, and workplaces.

Sneakers in the Workplace: A New Standard of Comfort

Sneakers have broken the confines of streetwear and luxury fashion—they’re now entering professional dress codes. Airlines like Akasa Air and KLM have embraced sneakers for their flight attendants, prioritizing comfort without compromising style.

This shift signals a broader acceptance of sneakers in professional settings, proving that practicality and style can coexist seamlessly.

Are Sneakers and Sport Shoes Synonymous? FYI, No!

Let’s clear up one common confusion: What’s the difference between sneakers and sports shoes?

difference between sneakers and sports shoes

Think of sneakers as the cool, effortlessly stylish cousin of sports shoes. Sneakers are primarily designed for casual wear, blending comfort with street-ready fashion. They come in all styles—from retro classics to high-fashion kicks—and are meant for everything from running errands to turning heads at brunch.

Conversely, sports shoes (a.k.a. athletic shoes) are performance-focused. Whether for running, basketball, or hiking, they are engineered for specific activities and feature enhanced grip, support, and durability.

So, while all sports shoes are sneakers, not all sneakers are sports shoes.

But, Does The Brand Count? Yes, of course

Luxury Sneakers

Sneakers aren’t just shoes anymore—they’re a lifestyle, a statement, a reflection of personality, and sometimes even an investment. But before we jump into the ultimate list of sneaker brands, let us understand,

What Makes the Best Shoe Brand?

The best shoe brand nails three things:

Innovation & Technology – Because comfort matters as much as looks.
Durability & Quality – A sneaker should go the distance, not just look good on Instagram.
Aesthetic & Cultural Impact – The best sneakers aren’t just shoes but icons.

13 Highlights: World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie 2025

13 Highlights: World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie 2025

Franck Muller has established itself as a trailblazing watchmaker by creating the WPHH (World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie), its own exclusive watch fair that showcases its commitment to creative independence in an industry often dominated by larger conglomerates.

The exhibition is hosted at the breathtaking Grand Malagny estate, constructed between 1754-1757 and situated with magnificent views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. This protected cultural heritage site of Geneva was purchased by Franck Muller in 2006 and meticulously restored over several years.

The 2025 edition, held from April 1-5, has transformed the historic estate into an extraordinary exhibition space where industry professionals experienced the brand’s latest horological innovations in an atmosphere blending Geneva’s rich heritage with contemporary watchmaking excellence.

1. Round Triple Mystery

This revolutionary timepiece harmoniously merges tradition with innovation. The Round Triple Mystery aces the technical challenge of powering three fully independent discs that move in perfect synchronization, demonstrating Franck Muller’s mechanical ingenuity.
