Why pay full price for luxury when the insider trick is just a few clicks away? Move over brick-and-mortar stores; online shopping is ruling the roost throughout the world. However, the buyer mindset remains unchanged: to get the best deal at the lowest price possible. Since online shopping leaves no scope for haggling or bargaining, coupon codes are the new and most practical way to get discounts on purchases. Whether you are shopping for day-to-day general items, electronics, home decor, or even branded luxury products on resale, coupons are your best bet for smart deals.

How to Save Big on Luxury Fashion

Buy timeless pieces – Chanel, Hermès, and Gucci classics retain or increase value.
Shop off-season –  Buy coats in spring, swimwear in fall, and sandals in winter for better deals
Use coupons + cashback – Double the discount, double the dopamine.
Buy pre-loved, authenticated items – Buying from trusted resale platforms like The Luxury Closet guarantees authenticity and significant savings.

With that said, luxury resale doesn’t have to mean luxury pricing. With the right promo code, you can take hundreds off your order—whether you’re buying a vintage Dior saddle bag or a little black Chanel dress.

Time To Decode The Luxury Closet Discount Codes

Coupon codes—sometimes called promo or discount codes—are alphanumeric strings you enter at checkout to unlock special savings. Think of them as insider keys that open the door to designer deals. At The Luxury Closet, codes like LUX300 or LUX500 can instantly reduce your order total by hundreds of dollars—no magic wand required.

Why Use Coupon Codes When Shopping Luxury?

Because it is as practical as it is smart, Promo codes are your backstage pass to designer deals. They help you:

1. Slash Prices on Big-Ticket Items

Luxury comes at a price, whether original or on resale, but it doesn’t have to be at the full price. With coupon codes, a $2,000 Saint Laurent bag could cost you just $1,700. That’s $300 off instantly with code: LUX300.

2. Access Exclusive Offers

Many codes are limited-time or subscriber-only. Signing up or shopping during promo periods unlocks serious value you won’t find elsewhere. Score exclusive perks like free shipping or extra discounts on clearance items.

Shop Smarter, Guilt-Free

Coupon codes permit you to splurge—strategically. Every discount turns indulgence into investment. Stretch your budget without downgrading your wardrobe.

Blending Craft and Contemporary Design

This process preserves cultural traditions while making them relevant for today’s fashion. Her clothing features intersectional silhouettes that blend textiles with artisan techniques, creating pieces that feel modern but maintain a link to their origins.

She believes that every garment can represent a story. “Fashion can be a bridge between cultures,” Mouradzadegun says. Her collections invite wearers to see clothing as more than just something to put on, but as a way to participate in a global conversation. Bespoke Tailoring: A Lost Art?

Bespoke Tailoring: A Lost Art?

Last week’s social media explosion of images from the MET Gala, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, raised the question, “what truly is the state of bespoke tailoring today?”

In this week’s blog, I’ll delve into the art of bespoke tailoring and explore how, thanks to events like the MET exhibition, and the passion of some very skilled craftspeople, it is far from becoming a relic of the past.

The world of bespoke menswear tailoring is rich with tradition, artistry, and innovation. Whether you’re seeking the timeless elegance of Savile Row, the soft tailoring of Naples, or the contemporary flair of modern ateliers, there are standout tailors across the globe who consistently deliver exceptional craftsmanship and personalized service. Here are some of the finest bespoke tailors for men (and women), each offering a unique approach to sartorial excellence.

Huntsman & Sons (Savile Row)

Huntsman & Sons is one of Savile Row’s most storied houses, celebrated for its structured, clean lines and impeccable British tailoring. Their heritage dates back to 1849, and they have dressed royalty, celebrities, and discerning gentlemen worldwide. Huntsman’s signature one-button jacket and strong silhouette set it apart, making it a top choice for those seeking classic English refinement. According to Dario Carnera, Co-Head Cutter, “More than just experience, crafting a bespoke suit is also about having the cutters’ ‘rock of eye“, referring to a process of making clothes that relies on the eye — that is, feeling — more than measurements.

Oswald Boateng (Savile Row)

Oswald Boateng- Couture bespoke tailor (Image credit: OzwaldBoateng.com)

Since the early 1980s, Ozwald Boateng has championed the idea that tailoring is more than a craft. It is identity. It is power. It is heritage. From the streets of London to the ateliers of Savile Row, Boateng brought a fresh perspective to classic British tailoring. He introduced bold colours, intricate linings, and a modern silhouette that spoke to a new generation. For the first time, the suit became a symbol not only of style but also of personal and cultural pride. In 1995, he became the first Black tailor to open a store on Savile Row, breaking boundaries and setting a new standard for inclusion and creativity in British fashion. His work attracted a global clientele—from Hollywood icons to heads of state—each drawn to the idea that a suit could tell a story far beyond fabric and thread. On May 13th 2025, Angeline Jolie announced a designer residency for Boateng at her fashion studio, Atelier Jolie, in Manhattan.

Rubinacci (Naples)

Rubinacci is based in Naples (Image credit: Ribinacci.com)

Founded by Gennaro Rubinacci in 1932, Rubinacci is synonymous with Neapolitan tailoring, offering a softer, more relaxed fit that’s both comfortable and stylish. Their expertise in lightweight construction and vibrant styling appeals to those who want Italian flair without sacrificing sophistication. Rubinacci’s strength lies in its ability to blend tradition with personality, making each suit a true reflection of its wearer. By 1962, his son Mariano took the helm and today his grandson Luca Rubinacci is creative director.

Cifonelli (Paris)

Founded in 1880 by Guiseppe Cifonelli in Rome, the brand later established itself in Paris. Cifonelli is revered for its Parisian elegance, characterized by a unique shoulder construction and meticulous finishing. The brand combines French finesse with Italian softness resulting in garments that are both structured and supremely comfortable. Their bespoke suits can be priced up to $8,000.

The house is known for its flattering cuts, superb craftsmanship, and now, under the direction of Park’s sons Chad and Chang, deliver bespoke quality to a younger, style-conscious clientele.
JB Clothiers (Los Angeles)

Luxury Resale Guide – What Do Used, New, & Pristine Mean?

Luxury Resale Guide – What Do Used, New, & Pristine Mean?

Whenever you buy a product in resale, you try to figure out whether it’s worth the price, in other words, if you are getting value for the money spent. It always works to your advantage to get a real deal, i.e., better value at a lesser price. This is also one of the reasons why resale platforms enjoy an edge over their retail counterparts: great products at steal-worthy prices.

As far as luxury products are concerned, the item’s condition defines its resale value. A rare piece in pristine condition can fetch even more than its original retail price. In contrast, another in good or fair condition can be priced considerably lower depending on the visible wear and tear. However, describing the product’s true-blue state in an online transaction can be a win-win for both the buyer and the seller, considering both parties don’t feel duped at the end of the deal.

To understand the difference between a smart investment and a pricey mistake, one must be able to spot the intricacies of progressive usage or the lack of it in a product, i.e., noticing how much—or how little—a product has been used.

Luxury isn’t just about labels—it’s about longevity. And that longevity is best judged through a well-honed condition grading system. After all, the condition isn’t just cosmetic; it’s currency. In the secondary luxury market, the state of an item determines its:

Resale value
Collectibility
Longevity
Investment potential

Simply put: the better the condition, the better the value. That’s why a clearly defined grading system is crucial—it ensures buyers and sellers are on the same ground, speaking the same language, enabling clear, confident, and trustworthy transactions.

Here’s your insider’s guide to decoding terms like Pristine, Like New, and Gently Used to help you shop (and sell) like a pro.

The Glossary: Decoding Luxury Condition Grades

From showroom-fresh to beautifully broken-in, here’s what each condition truly means:

New with Tags (NWT)

Unworn, untouched, and straight from the boutique. This is luxury in its purest form—original tags, packaging, dust bags, and sometimes even the ribbon. They fetch the highest prices as buyers get a near-retail experience.

New Without Tags (Never Used)

Unused but without tags. Think: a gift that wasn’t quite your style or a piece purchased on impulse and never used. Impeccable, yet slightly less formal than NWT. In this category, the items typically have their packaging, such as shoes in their original box, jewelry in their original cases, handbags in their dust bags, and so forth.

Pristine

It looks and feels brand new, possibly worn once, but with zero visible signs of use. Think of a Cartier bracelet that lived in its box or a pair of Louboutins worn to a red carpet dinner and promptly returned to their dust bags. These items also fetch top-tier resale prices and are highly desirable. Buyers get coveted pieces that are as good as brand new at considerably lower prices.

Excellent

It shows minimal wear with immaculate upkeep. Perhaps a Chanel Boy Bag, carried a few times, or a Rolex with micro-scratches only visible up close. Even a dress without any stains or snags, in perfect wearable condition, and with a wash care label attached can fall under this category. This is a sharp choice for savvy buyers who are happy to own a piece that is aesthetically fine and functionally perfect.

Like New

There are light signs of use, often so faint they’re invisible in photos. Maybe a slight crease on a sneaker toe box or softening of a leather jacket’s collar. Still stunning, still statement-worthy, these are popular with brand connoisseurs, who are happy to own a piece that is still usable and good enough to flaunt.

Very Good / Gently Used

Loved, but not abused. Expect visible signs of wear—corners, soles, or interior linings may show the story of use, but functionality remains intact. Best for everyday luxury. Buyers with limited budgets or who, instead of buying fakes, want the real thing, even though pre-owned, opt for this category.

Good / Fair

The bargain bin of the elite. Scuffs, fading, or structural wear don’t make these pieces any less authentic—just well-worn. It is ideal for those who love a fixer-upper or believe luxury should be lived in. For example, a designer dress with a little color fading under the arms or a vintage watch with visible scratches; both are still high-end and can be used again. Depending on its current rarity factor, the latter could even fetch a price higher than what it originally retailed for.

Heavily Used

Worn well—and it shows. Heavy wear throughout, but still holds designer DNA. It is perfect for restoration projects or vintage collectors who value history over condition. They might need minor repairs if they have to be used again. For example, handbags with broken hardware or shoes with worn-out soles.

Product-Specific Condition Cues

Not all luxury items age the same. A lambskin Chanel ages differently than an LV Monogram canvas, and sneakers are worn differently than silk dresses. Here’s what to keep in mind when deciding the condition:

Leather Bags: Look for corner wear, handle darkening, sagging, and scratches.
Canvas Bags: Examine for fraying at edges, darkening of handles, discoloration, and cracking of printed monograms.
Sneakers & Shoes: Examine soles, heels, toe boxes, and creasing on uppers. Original insoles and laces? Major bonus.
Apparel: Check fabric pilling, fading, stretched seams, missing buttons, and underarm discoloration. Tags and labels intact add value.
Watches & Jewelry: Scratches on clasps, dials, or watch bands; look for missing stones, tarnishing, or signs of resizing.
Small Leather Goods: Inspect zippers, snaps, interior lining, and edge paint wear. Cardholder warping is common.

How The Luxury Closet Grades Condition.

At The Luxury Closet, every item is meticulously inspected by in-house experts. Each product goes through a multi-point condition check covering:

Exterior and interior cleanliness
Hardware quality
Stitching, handles, zippers
Smell and structure

We also photograph every visible detail, so what you see is exactly what you receive. Our mission? To make luxury more transparent, trustworthy, and timeless.

We have four categories of condition grading:

What Pristine Looks Like Across Our Product-Specific Categories

At The Luxury Closet, Pristine means never used—or so gently handled that it’s virtually indistinguishable from brand new. This is our gold standard for pre-loved luxury.

Leather Bags

Pristine leather bags retain their firm structure, flawless hardware, immaculate interiors, and sharp corners. Whether crafted from smooth calfskin or delicate lambskin, the finish is near-perfect—no sagging, no patina, no surprises.

Canvas Bags

Think vibrant prints, no fading, and a crisp coating. Monograms stay sharp, leather trims remain untreated, and handles show minimal to no darkening.

Sneakers & Shoes

Outsoles are unworn, uppers are crease-free, and interiors remain untouched. Pristine pairs always come with original laces, insoles, and boxes.

Apparel

Luxury clothing in pristine condition includes original tags, crisp seams, no fading, and zero signs of wear. Picture: structured coats with perfect shoulders or pleated gowns free from deodorant marks.

Watches & Jewelry

No scratches. No smudges. Pristine watches and jewelry have flawless bezels and bands, perfect clasp function, and sparkle that says “just unboxed.” Original packaging and certificates? Essential.

Small Leather Goods

From wallets to key pouches, pristine SLGs show no peeling, fraying, or loss of structure. Interiors are clean, zippers are smooth, and edges remain intact.

Buyer Preference: Which Condition Suits You?

Pristine / NWT: Perfect for collectors, investors, or as luxury gifts
Like New / Excellent: Ideal for style lovers who want high-end quality at a better value
Good / Gently Used: Perfect for everyday use without the guilt
Fair: For treasure-hunters, vintage lovers, or repurpose pros

Australian Fashion Week 2025 Highlights – The Luxury Closet

Australian Fashion Week 2025 Highlights – The Luxury Closet

From being dubbed “Fashion Weak” by British fashion writer Susan Owens in its infancy to becoming Australia’s sartorial answer to Paris and Milan, Australian Fashion Week (AFW) has traversed a remarkable journey. What started as a bold regional experiment is now a globally respected style spectacle. Celebrating outback aesthetics and high-gloss runway glam, the event has matured into one of the world’s most intriguing cultural and commercial forces, rewriting the narrative of what Australian fashion can be. It is no longer just about clothes but about letting the world sit up and take notice of the Australian fashion scene- designers and their craftsmanship, talent, and experimentation.

Now in its 2025 edition, AFW returns with heightened purpose, a near-cancellation drama, a legacy tribute to Carla Zampatti, and a new sponsor—Shark Beauty—signaling a fresh alignment of beauty tech and fashion futurism. From the front row at Carriageworks to live streams beamed globally, the week promises runway revelations, digital disruptions, and directional style unlike anywhere else in the world.

Australian Fashion Week At A Glance

Founded in 1996 by Simon Lock, a public relations consultant and former reporter of ski magazine, AFW began as a regional showcase to boost Australian design talent on the world stage. Its debut was scrappy, rebellious, and at times uncertain, facing everything from industry skepticism to logistical chaos. In its earliest iteration, the event was known as Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, thanks to the luxury automaker’s backing—a strategic move that aligned Australian style with global luxury branding. The association with Mercedes-Benz lent immediate credibility to a fledgling event still finding its feet. But it lacked polish; Lock’s ambition was clear: to create a platform that could elevate homegrown talent to international prominence. And while his vision paved the way, the machinery needed to evolve.

In 2005, Lock sold the event to IMG, the global powerhouse that now produces fashion weeks in New York, London, and Milan. With that sale came structure, prestige, and access to a vast international network. Since then, AFW has grown into a polished, globally respected platform, one that fuses the experimental energy of its roots with the strategic precision of the fashion world’s elite.

The Evolution of Sponsorship: The Runway Timeline

1996–2005: Mercedes-Benz

The luxury automaker gave AFW its first major boost, lending European gravitas to a scrappy newcomer. As the inaugural naming rights sponsor, Mercedes-Benz made it clear: Australia was no longer fashion’s afterthought—it was a destination.

2006–2010s: Rosemount Estate

The beloved Australian wine brand ushered in a decadent lifestyle era, where garden parties met runways and fashion fused with indulgence. Under the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week banner, the event leaned into local charm with a global wink.

With Afterpay, the runway became instantly shoppable. This was the age of fashion meets fintech, where digital democratization allowed viewers to “see now, buy now” in real-time. It marked a paradigm shift toward consumer-first fashion.

The jewelry giant brought emotional resonance to the runway. Through themes of identity and self-expression, Pandora’s involvement reflected a desire for more personal storytelling in fashion, both on and off the catwalk.

The latest chapter is all about tech-savvy transformation. Known for high-performance hair tools and sleek innovation, Shark Beauty is more than a sponsor—it’s a backstage powerhouse. Expect salon-quality styling lounges, digital activations, and a new conversation around beauty and performance.

In short, each sponsor has not only funded the fashion event—they’ve reshaped the runway’s cultural currency. In 2025, Shark Beauty signals a polished, tech-driven future for AFW that blurs the boundaries between style, utility, and spectacle.

The Australian Fashion Council: A New Beginning for AFW

As Australian Fashion Week (AFW) enters a new chapter in 2025, one of the most significant changes has been the formation of the Australian Fashion Council (AFC). Following the announcement of  IMG’s exit in late 2024, the future of Australia’s premier fashion event was uncertain. However, the AFC’s involvement has paved the way for a bold and industry-led reboot of AFW.

With a mission to strengthen the Australian fashion industry, the AFC is now steering the event alongside Destination NSW. This new partnership marks a commitment to showcasing the dynamic talent in established and emerging Australian fashion while ensuring the event continues to provide a vital platform for designers to thrive. The 2025 edition at Carriageworks is set to not only honor the past but also redefine the future of Australian fashion.

By empowering local designers, fostering industry collaboration, and promoting sustainable practices, the AFC’s leadership signals a more inclusive and forward-thinking approach to AFW.

So, Back to the Present: Australian Fashion Week 2025

When and Where Is It Happening?

Venue: Carriageworks, Sydney

Dates: May 12 to 16, 2025

Expect a full week of runway shows; emerging designer-showcases, beauty activations, and cultural conversations—all set against Sydney’s urban-industrial stylish backdrop.

Who Owns and Operates Australian Fashion Week?

AFW is owned and operated by IMG Fashion Events and Properties, Asia Pacific, a division of the global entertainment, sports, and fashion agency IMG. They oversee all aspects of the event—from curation and designer selection to sponsorship and production—ensuring a global standard of execution.

The Direction and Purpose of AFW: More Than Just Clothes

AFW has always been a runway, but now it mirrors the industry’s ambitions and anxieties. In 2025, the event reflects a complex new fashion landscape that demands creativity and commerce.

AFW serves two distinct purposes for designers:

Consumer-Focused Shows: These are tailored for audiences purchasing public tickets, driven by immediacy and digital engagement. Think see-now-buy-now fashion moments.
Industry-Only Showcases: These invite-only shows target buyers, stylists, editors, and other insiders. The focus here is on long-lead impact and wholesale negotiations.

But even as the platform grows in prestige, the financial strain on emerging designers remains stark. The cost of participation—venue hire, model fees, production scale—can be prohibitive, often muting some of fashion’s most daring new voices. Here, the role of sponsorship becomes less about branding and more about equitable access and creative survival.

Was the Australian Fashion Week 2025 Almost Cancelled?

Earlier this year, whispers of a potential AFW cancellation sent tremors through the industry. Reduced funding, escalating production costs, and sponsorship uncertainty brought the event to a standstill—until Shark Beauty stepped in to save the season.

The last-minute lifeline not only salvaged the showcase but signaled a shift: this is not just an event of cultural importance; it is a business necessity—for designers, editors, buyers, and the greater luxury ecosystem.

What’s New in 2025?

Besides its very survival, AFW 2025 brings some big upgrades:

4K Livestreams + AR Enhancements: A global digital audience can enjoy front-row experiences and backstage access like never before.
First Nations Fashion + Design Showcase: Now a daily feature, not just a one-off show—highlighting Indigenous storytelling and sustainability.
Eco-Innovation Pavilion: Dedicated to circular fashion, upcycling, and biodegradable textiles.
Beauty Tech Integration: Shark Beauty’s influence will be visible on and off the runway, from hairstyles to tech demos.

Top Designers & Runway Highlights to Watch

Zimmermann: Resort-ready romanticism and sun-soaked luxury.
Christopher Esber: Architectural minimalism and subversive tailoring.
Ngali: Elevating Indigenous artistry with cultural reverence.
Alemais: Art-forward, eccentric layering, and maximalist charm.
Strateas Carlucci: Monochrome mastery with edgy, gender-fluid cuts.

Rising stars like Beare Park, Youkhana, and Iordanes Spyridon Gogos are adding fresh energy—merging fashion with performance art, activism, and future-facing themes.

Emerging Fashion Trends from AFW 2025

From the early runways and press previews, a few standout themes are setting the tone for the season:

Desert-Core: Neutral tones, raw textures, sun-faded hues—think windswept minimalism meets outback romance.

Techno-Tailoring: Smart materials and modular silhouettes redefine precision dressing for the future.

Draped Minimalism: Clean lines, fluid volume, and effortless movement create quiet impact.

Nature Punk: Rebellious energy meets dark florals, recycled fabrics, and earthy edge.

Inclusive Design: Genderless cuts, adaptive pieces, and expanded sizing embrace radical inclusivity.

Style Echoes: Fringing details, vintage-inspired silhouettes, and refreshing sorbet shades add texture, nostalgia, and a hint of playfulness.

What Australian Fashion Week Means for the Global Market

AFW is increasingly a launching pad for global relevance. Its influence travels far beyond Sydney—from Paris showrooms to Net-a-Porter listings. Designers who break out at AFW often secure international stockists, celebrity placements, and media coverage that propels their brand onto the global radar. In a time when the fashion world craves fresh perspectives, AFW’s distinct Australian lens—sun-drenched, resourceful, rebellious—sets it apart.

AFW’s Impact on the Luxury Sale and Resale Market

AFW doesn’t just dictate what’s in—it shapes what holds value:

Post-show buzz drives searches and demand for current and vintage pieces by AFW designers.
Runway standouts often become highly sought after on resale platforms, especially when inventory is limited.
As sustainability and circular fashion become central themes, pre-owned luxury sees a halo effect—consumers want pieces with a story, a purpose, and long-term value.

Highlights of Day 1:

Day 1 kicked off with a powerful blend of emotion and elegance as Carla Zampatti’s 60th anniversary tribute set the tone for the week.

Australian Fashion Week opened with a commemorative runway show, archival retrospectives, and a capsule collection by emerging designers—all inspired by Zampatti’s empowering silhouettes and timeless vision. But this wasn’t just a homage—it was a symbolic passing of the torch, led by her son and CEO of the house, Alex Schuman. Determined to honour her legacy while steering the brand into its next era, Schuman infused the show with the same spirit of generosity and innovation that defined his mother’s career.

To celebrate the milestone, a one-off tribute collection featured reinterpretations of the Zampatti aesthetic by a powerhouse lineup of Australian designers: Michael Lo Sordo, Pip Edwards, Toni Maticevski, Romance Was Born, Gail Sorronda, Kit Willow, Akira Isogawa, Iordanes Spyridon Gogos, Alix Higgins, Grace Lillian Lee, Mariam Seddiq, and Bianca Spender. Each brought their own creative lens to the legacy—resulting in a show as bold, collaborative, and visionary as the woman it honoured.

Set against the striking backdrop of the Museum of Contemporary Art, the runway captured sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge anchoring every shot. It was a visual and emotional high point—fitting for a designer whose imprint on Australian fashion remains indelible.

Highlights of Day 2:

Day 2 saw Lee Mathews mark 25 years in fashion with a collection celebrating her journey, featuring breezy dresses, applique florals, and utilitarian pieces; it was a reclamation of quiet luxury, with sheer layering, artisanal bows, and breathable fabrics. Attended by celebrities like Nigella Lawson and Isabel Lucas, her show reflected both a tribute and a celebration of her growth. Her collection wasn’t chasing virality—it was a reminder that subtlety, too, can command attention.

The Frontier Show featured top talent like Wynn Hamlyn, Paris Georgia, and Amber Keating’s Common Hours, showcasing Australian and Kiwi design.

Charlotte Hicks’s “see now, buy now” collection focused on creating an immediate connection with her audience through luxe leather separates and elegant silhouettes.

Common Hours’ Amber Keating embraced streamlined pieces with bold textures, evoking a sense of support for the industry.

Nagnata debuted with a new denim line and expanded knitwear collection, while Joseph & James presented relaxed menswear separates.

Farage wrapped up Day 2 with a highly anticipated show marking its return to AFW after 30 years.

Street Style & Fabric Trends at AFW 2025

Best Street Style

While AFW 2025 showcased high fashion on the runway, the street style outside Carriageworks was equally captivating. Fashion-forward attendees, including creatives and influencers, embraced bold, eclectic looks—highlighting an appreciation for individuality. From statement accessories to casual-chic combos, the street style reflected a seamless blend of luxury and laid-back Aussie flair.

Sheer Fabrics

Sheer fabrics were a key trend this year, making their presence known on multiple runways. Light, flowing, and often layered, these fabrics added a touch of sensuality and sophistication to collections. Whether in the form of sheer pink maxi dresses at Lee Mathews or dramatic sheer panels at other shows, these fabrics dominated the 2025 collections, adding texture and visual intrigue.

Fashion’s Timeless Edge: Where Craftsmanship Meets Innovation

AFW 2025 isn’t just a showcase—it’s a cultural barometer, capturing where fashion, sustainability, and innovation intersect. As the Southern Hemisphere’s premier fashion week, it fuses raw creativity with forward-thinking design, spotlighting everything from reimagined resortwear to Indigenous excellence.

From Carla Zampatti’s iconic tailoring to Lee Mathews’ effortless silhouettes, this season affirmed a core truth: great style endures. Just as the runway revisits and reinvents the classics, today’s fashion lovers are rediscovering the lasting appeal of quality—whether fresh off the catwalk or revived through pre-owned luxury.

It’s a reminder that classic designs aren’t just admired, they are collected. And the most coveted pieces don’t always come brand new. Pre-loved designer treasures, like those curated by The Luxury Closet, echo the very ethos AFW 2025 celebrates: craftsmanship, sustainability, and enduring style.

Gucci Horsebit vs Celine Triomphe – Inside The Closet

Gucci Horsebit vs Celine Triomphe – Inside The Closet

Welcome to the ultimate showdown: Gucci Horsebit vs. Celine Triomphe. Two crossbody heavyweights, both bringing their A-game, but only one can be the bag. Let’s dig into a thorough analysis of these iconic pieces to determine which one comes out on top.

Round 1: The Aesthetic

Each of these bags wears history on its shoulder. The Gucci Horsebit, an homage to the house’s equestrian roots, exudes a certain vintage boldness. It’s the bag that knows its worth—classic GG canvas or smooth leather, structured silhouettes, and that gleaming horsebit hardware anchoring it in heritage. Think: the fashion editor who always finds archival pieces at flea markets and somehow makes them feel brand new.

Enter the Celine Triomphe: understated, architectural, and unapologetically discreet. It’s the quiet whisper in a room full of loud trends. Designed under the eye of Hedi Slimane, its refined clasp—modelled after the Arc de Triomphe—is less about logos and more about lineage. It doesn’t ask for attention. It owns it in silence.

If the Gucci Horsebit is the statement piece in a room, the Celine Triomphe is the girl who walks in silently and somehow still gets attention. One is vintage opulence; the other, refined simplicity. Your personal aesthetic will determine which bag sings to your soul. That’s the deciding factor.

Round 2: Practicality & Functionality

Yes, they’re beautiful—but can they perform?

When it comes to real-life practicality, the Gucci Horsebit doesn’t just look good—it delivers. Available in multiple sizes, even the mini version has enough space for your must-haves without feeling cramped. The adjustable strap makes it easy to wear, while the secure flap closure keeps everything in place. Inside, it strikes the ideal balance between spacious and compact, so you won’t find yourself precariously arranging your items like a game of Tetris.

The Celine Triomphe, meanwhile, is the definition of compact efficiency. It’s got a structured shape that holds just enough without tempting you to overstuff it. The clasp is easy to open (once you get the hang of it), and the leather lining feels just as luxe as the exterior. But here’s the thing—if you’re someone who carries everything just in case (aka a walking convenience store), this one might feel a little too small.

And let’s talk durability. The Gucci Horsebit, especially in canvas, can handle the chaos of daily life with minimal stress. The Celine Triomphe, while undeniably gorgeous, needs a little more TLC—smooth leather scratches easily, so it’s not for the careless toss-it-in-the-car type.

Round 3: The Outfit Factor

Both of these bags are outfit chameleons, effortlessly switching from casual coffee runs to dressy dinner plans. The Gucci Horsebit pairs perfectly with oversized blazers, vintage denim, and loafers for that effortless ‘I thrifted this but actually spent a fortune’ aesthetic. If you go for the leather version, it instantly elevates anything—yes, even sweatpants. There’s an old-money ease to it that feels both curated and intended.

The Celine Triomphe, on the other hand, is the definition of polished. It’s giving monochrome fits, sleek silhouettes, and that ‘I summer in the South of France’ attitude. Whether you’re wearing a minimalist slip dress or just an oversized button-down, it makes everything look curated. A white shirt, a pair of tan trousers, the Triomphe—and suddenly, you look like someone who vacations well.

Round 4: The Hype & The Legacy

The Gucci Horsebit is no rookie. Born in the ‘50s, reimagined in the early 2000s, and revived for a new generation, it’s been on a consistent glow-up. Every Y2K resurgence only deepens its relevance. This is not trend-hopping—it’s evolution. It’s got that vintage-meets-modern charm that makes it a solid investment.

The Celine Triomphe is a newer icon, but with the Phoebe Philo effect and Hedi Slimane’s stamp of approval, it’s already become the quiet luxury status symbol. It’s not trying to be a flashy logo bag, and that’s exactly why fashion insiders can’t get enough. This one is for those who want something chic without screaming ‘designer.’

Investment-wise, both are solid contenders. The Gucci Horsebit holds its value thanks to its classic status and frequent revivals, while the Celine Triomphe’s slow burn into cult status makes it a strong long-term bet. Resale-wise, both bags perform well, but Celine’s minimal branding gives it a slightly more niche audience.

The Verdict: Which One Wins?

Honestly? It depends on your vibe. If you love vintage details, a bit of boldness, and a bag that feels like an instant classic, the Gucci Horsebit is your girl. But if you’re all about sleek, subtle, and effortlessly cool aesthetics, the Celine Triomphe is a no-brainer.

In a world that demands style shorthand, these bags say different things. The Horsebit is legacy reimagined; the Triomphe is modernity refined.

Either way, you can’t lose. Just don’t ask us to choose—our closet has room for both.

8 Most Expensive Non-Invasive Face Treatments

8 Most Expensive Non-Invasive Face Treatments

Looking to rejuvenate your appearance without going under the knife? The world of aesthetic medicine offers numerous non-invasive options for both men and women. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the most expensive non-invasive face treatments, arranged by average cost:

1. Polynucleotide Injectables ($1,000-$3,500 per session)

Polynucleotide treatments like PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) are cutting-edge regenerative therapies derived from DNA fragments. These injectables stimulate tissue repair and collagen production at the cellular level.

Popular brands include Rejuran and Nucleofill, which are particularly effective for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, and addressing acne scarring. Results typically last 4-6 months, with most providers recommending 3-4 sessions initially.

2. Non-Surgical Face Lift ($800-$2,500 per session)

Thread lifts provide a temporary lifting effect without surgery. Using dissolvable threads inserted beneath the skin, this treatment physically lifts sagging tissues while stimulating collagen production.

Common varieties include PDO, PCL, and PLLA threads, each with different longevity profiles. Results can last 1-3 years depending on the thread type and individual factors. Particularly popular for addressing jowls, nasolabial folds, and mid-face sagging.

3. Fillers ($600-$2,000 per session)

Dermal fillers replace lost volume and contour facial features using substances like hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, or poly-L-lactic acid. Different formulations target specific concerns: thinner fillers for fine lines, denser products for deeper wrinkles or structural support.

Common treatment areas include nasolabial folds, lips, cheeks, temples, and jawline definition. Results typically last 6-24 months depending on the product and placement area.

4. Botox ($300-$1,500 per session)

Botulinum toxin injections temporarily relax targeted muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles. While “Botox” is the most recognized brand name, alternatives include Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau.

Commonly treated areas include forehead lines, crow’s feet, glabellar lines (11s between eyebrows), and neck bands. Effects typically last 3-6 months.

Men often require higher dosages than women due to stronger facial muscles, which can increase costs.

5. Radiofrequency Treatments ($250-$1,200 per session)

Radiofrequency devices deliver controlled heat to the deeper skin layers, stimulating collagen and elastin production while tightening existing fibers. Popular technologies used in radiofrequency treatments include Thermage, Venus Legacy, and EndyMed.

Results develop gradually over 2-3 months as collagen remodeling occurs. Treatments can address skin laxity, fine lines, and even mild jowling. Most protocols recommend 3-6 sessions initially, followed by maintenance treatments.

6. Mesotherapy ($200-$600 per session)

Mesotherapy involves multiple superficial injections of vitamin, mineral, and amino acid cocktails directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin). These customized solutions nourish the skin, stimulate collagen production, and improve circulation.

Particularly effective for improving skin quality, hydration, and addressing dullness. Results are cumulative, with most providers recommending 4-6 initial treatments followed by quarterly maintenance sessions.

7. Ultrasound Therapy ($150-$500 per session)

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatments like Ultherapy deliver concentrated sound energy to deep tissue layers, creating controlled thermal injury that triggers collagen production. This non-invasive option is particularly effective for mild to moderate skin laxity on the face, neck, and décolletage.

Results develop gradually over 2-3 months and can last up to a year. Most patients require just one treatment annually.

8. Chemical Peels ($150-$400 per session)

Chemical peels use acid solutions to remove damaged outer skin layers, revealing fresher skin underneath. Options range from superficial (glycolic, lactic acid) to medium-depth (TCA) peels.

Benefits include improved texture, tone, and reduction of fine lines and mild pigmentation issues. Downtime varies from none to several days depending on peel strength.

Most effective when done in series of 3-6 treatments.

Final Thoughts on the Most Costly Non-Invasive Face Treatments

Investing in non-invasive facial treatments requires careful consideration of your aesthetic goals, budget, and lifestyle. While these procedures offer impressive results without the downtime of surgery, they each target different concerns and vary significantly in longevity and maintenance requirements.

For optimal outcomes, consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can assess your unique facial anatomy and develop a customized treatment plan. Remember that combining complementary therapies – such as Botox for dynamic wrinkles and fillers for volume loss – often yields the most natural-looking results.

Whatever your choice, today’s advanced aesthetic technologies provide remarkable options for maintaining a refreshed, youthful appearance without going under the knife.
