Billie Eilish and Nat Wolff have officially confirmed their relationship by making their first public appearance on the red carpet as a couple.

The pair attended the premiere of Eilish’s new 3D concert film in Los Angeles, marking a significant milestone in their year-long romance.

While the event was a celebration of Eilish’s latest professional achievement, the couple’s debut has sparked intense conversation among fans regarding her previous comments about her identity.

Eilish and Wolff chose the premiere of “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D)” to finally make their red carpet debut on Wednesday, May 6.

The 24-year-old singer opted for a casual, colorful look, sporting a green Ralph Lauren Polo layered over a white shirt, paired with a black skirt and red and blue socks.

Pop Crave shared a post on X, showing  Eilish posing beside the 31-year-old Wolff, who looked sharp in a brown double-breasted suit.

The couple was joined at the Los Angeles event by other high-profile figures, including Eilish’s brother, Finneas, and legendary filmmaker James Cameron, who co-directed the new concert movie with Eilish.

The public outing confirms a relationship that has been a subject of speculation since March 2025, when the two musicians were first seen leaving an awards ceremony together.

Notably, the duo’s connection appears to also extend to professional ties. Wolff starred in Eilish’s “Chihiro” music video, and his band even opened for her during her most recent world tour, per People Magazine.

Fans Slam Eilish For Her Relationship With Wolff

Despite the celebratory nature of the event, the debut of Eilish and Wolff as a couple ignited a firestorm of criticism across social media platforms. Many fans expressed frustration, labeling the singer’s previous public comments about her attraction to women as performative.

Critics pointed to the timing of her relationship with a man as evidence of “pandering,” with one social media user crowning her the “performative final boss.”

This backlash stems from a perceived disconnect between Eilish’s public persona and her private dating life, leading some to question the authenticity of her identity.

One disgruntled fan wrote, “All that being into girls stuff is so performative. Straight white celebrities HATE being both straight and white.”

Another referenced her recent lyrics, with one asking, “But I heard she’s was eating girls for lunch…what happened to being the biggest queer icon of all time!??”

This sentiment was echoed by another commentator who claimed, “She really made an entire album about being lesbian just to pop out with some ugly a– man, Billie is the biggest liar in the music industry.”

The public backlash following the couple’s recent appearance is deeply rooted in the romantic history the two shared long before they officially hit the red carpet.

Last summer, the musicians were the subject of intense media scrutiny after they were spotted enjoying a series of intimate moments during a European getaway.

The Blast reported that photographs captured the pair on a boat cruise in Italy, looking relaxed and affectionate as they shared wine and took photos of one another.

The photos from their 2025 vacation showed Eilish and Wolff sharing a passionate kiss on a balcony in Venice. During their time in Italy, the two appeared entirely at ease, with Eilish often seen smiling broadly while Wolff held her close or raised a glass for a toast.

While her relationship with Wolff sparked public debate, Eilish recently offered a more personal look at the internal struggles that shaped her public image.

In a candid interview, the 24-year-old singer revealed that her famous oversized fashion was not just a stylistic choice, but a response to a “toxic relationship” with her body.

She admitted that during her early years, she faced significant eating issues and used baggy clothing to find a sense of “relief” from her discomfort.

Eilish noted that her aesthetic was inspired by hip-hop icons like Missy Elliott and Tyler, The Creator, as well as fashion figures like Bloody Osiris, per The Blast.

She also confessed that part of her style was driven by “wanting to be a man” and an internalized belief that being feminine was equivalent to being “weak.”

Despite the singer’s recent efforts to be more transparent about her personal growth, her involvement in other areas of entertainment has continued to draw sharp criticism from the public.

Eilish, a longtime fan of the reality series “Survivor,” was recently featured as a high-profile consultant for the show’s milestone 50th season. Host Jeff Probst revealed that the production team collaborated with the Grammy winner to develop a major game mechanic known as the “Billie Eilish boomerang idol.”

According to The Blast, the revelation that Eilish had a hand in shaping the game’s rules did not sit well with the show’s dedicated fan base, who labeled the move as “pandering.”

One user on X criticized the show for “neglecting the fans” in favor of a pop star, while others were disappointed to learn that Eilish did not actually invent the twist herself but merely approved it.
