Kelp DAO Rolls Out KERNEL First Season Airdrop Eligibility Checker, TGE Scheduled For Early April

In Brief

KelpDAO announced the launch of the KERNEL Airdrop early eligibility checker, allowing Season 1 participants and users who accumulated points/miles to receive 10% of the total KERNEL supply.

Kelp DAO Rolls Out KERNEL First Season Airdrop Eligibility Checker, TGE Scheduled For Early April

Ethereum staking and EigenLayer native restaking solution, KelpDAO announced the launch of the KERNEL Airdrop early eligibility checker.

Season 1 ended on December 31st, and users who accumulated points/miles by that date are eligible to receive 10% of the total KERNEL supply, which is allocated as rewards for Season 1.

KERNEL is a governance token and also  plays an active role in securing the ecosystem. Users can stake KERNEL to help secure applications within the KernelDAO ecosystem, ensuring the protection and reliability of the network. Staked KERNEL also acts as financial collateral against slashing risks, providing a safeguard to minimize potential losses from penalties. Additionally, KERNEL holders can participate in voting on important decisions across Kernel, Kelp, and Gain, such as protocol upgrades, fees, and other key matters, allowing users to influence the platform’s future direction.

Prioritising fairness in the distribution, Kernel DAO has partnered with human.tech by Holonym to conduct thorough Sybil analysis. This collaboration helps identify and exclude Sybil accounts, ensuring that only legitimate participants receive rewards. Those who earned at least 150 Kernel Points/Kelp Grand Miles (with approximately 0.04 ETH or around $100 USD worth of ETH restaked during Season 1) will be eligible for a minimum of 100 KERNEL tokens for each qualifying wallet. Wallets that did not meet the 150 Kernel Points/Kelp Grand Miles requirement for Season 1 will have their points carried over to Season 2, contributing to future airdrop opportunities.

In order to check eligibility for the token distribution, users should visit the Airdrop Checker, connect their wallet (the one used during Season 1), sign a message from the wallet for verification, and review their eligibility status along with the reward details.

The Season 1 airdrop marks the start of KernelDAO’s token distribution strategy. As the Token Generation Event (TGE) approaches, scheduled for early April 2025, additional opportunities to earn rewards will be announced.

Kernel: Pioneering Restaking On BNB Chain With $2B In Assets, Enhancing Security And Rewards For Decentralized Apps

Kernel is a restaking protocol on the BNB Chain that allows users to restake BNB and liquid staking tokens, which in turn helps strengthen the security of various decentralized applications. This process provides users with additional rewards while contributing to the overall security of the network.

Over the past year, Kernel has developed a strong ecosystem with multiple products, which together manage approximately $2 billion in assets. These include Kelp, which has over $1.2 billion in total value locked (TVL) from rsETH, and supports more than 300,000 restakers; Gain, with over $120 million in TVL across tokenized vaults; and Kernel itself, holding more than $660 million in TVL, making it the largest shared security layer on the BNB Chain.

Major Moves: Loewe Appoints Former Proenza Schouler Designers As Creative Directors; Mugler Names A New Designer

Major Moves: Loewe Appoints Former Proenza Schouler Designers As Creative Directors; Mugler Names A New Designer

MARCH 2025: Loewe appoints former Proenza Schouler designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, as its creative directors (Photo: Loewe)

With the global economy slowing down, the fashion industry has never been more volatile — and designers have never been more vulnerable. In the past year, the fashion news cycle has seen plenty of creative directors come and go between coveted top spots at the helm of luxury brands. Veteran figures like Hedi Slimane and John Galliano left their roles at Celine and Maison Margiela respectively, with nothing else lined up (as far as we know). There were some exciting changes, too: last December, Matthieu Blazy left Bottega Veneta to join the house of Chanel, ending months of rumours and speculations about who would be Virginie Viard’s successor. Meanwhile, his former role at Bottega Veneta was taken up by Louise Trotter, the former creative director of Carven.

If 2024 was full of twists and turns in fashion’s so-called “game” of musical chairs, 2025 is already looking to outdo it. Ahead, tune into all the major shifts within the fashion industry and catch up on all the fashion news to know, from creative director appointments to departures.

Mugler Names A New Creative Director As Casey Cadwallader Exits

MARCH 2025: Mugler appoints Miguel Castro Freitas as creative director (Photo: Robi Rodriguez, courtesy of Mugler)

Hot on the heels of Loewe’s major announcement, Mugler has named its new creative director: Miguel Castro Freitas.

Freitas succeeds Casey Cadwallader, who has helmed Mugler since 2018. During his seven-year tenure, Cadwallader reinvigorated the French fashion brand founded by Thierry Mugler with a fresh energy, offering bodycon styles and cut-out catsuits that were embraced by popstars like Beyoncé, Dua Lipa and more.

Freitas is a relatively behind-the-scenes figure in the fashion industry. Prior to his appointment at Mugler, the Portugal-born designer and Central Saint Martins graduate worked at Lanvin, Dior (first during John Galliano’s tenure, and again under Raf Simons), Dries Van Noten and, most recently, Sportmax, Max Mara’s sister brand.

In a statement, Danièle Lahana-Aidenbaum, the global brand president of Mugler Fashion and Fragrances, said: “Miguel lives and breathes the Mugler spirit. His deep understanding of Mugler’s DNA and his vast creativity and talent made him a natural choice.”

Freitas will join Mugler officially on 1 April. He will present his first Mugler collection during the Spring/Summer 2026 season at Paris Fashion Week this September.

Loewe Appoints Former Proenza Schouler Designers As Creative Directors

On 24 March, Loewe named not one but two new creative directors: Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, formerly of Proenza Schouler.McCollough and Hernandez will take the helm of the Spanish luxury fashion brand from 7 April. The designer duo will oversee all of Loewe’s collections, including womenswear, menswear, leather goods and accessories.

In a joint statement, the designers shared, “We are incredibly honoured to join Loewe, a house whose values and mission align closely with our own. We look forward to working alongside its extraordinary teams and artisans, whose talent—under the exceptional creative direction of Jonathan Anderson—has shaped Loewe into the cultural force it is today.”

The news comes just a week after Jonathan Anderson announced his departure from Loewe, ending his 11-year tenure. McCollough and Hernandez exited Proenza Schouler in January 2025 after an even longer tenure. The pair, who met at Parsons School of Design, founded Proenza Schouler in 2002 and immediately established it as one of New York’s most beloved fashion brands. They went on to win five CFDA awards at their womenswear label.

Sidney Toledano, the chief executive of the LVMH Fashion Group, said in a statement, “I have long admired Jack and Lazaro’s work at Proenza Schouler, their eclectic creativity and dedication to craft make them a natural choice to build the next chapter for Loewe.”

Jonathan Anderson Exits Loewe After 11 Years

Jonathan Anderson has officially announced his exit from Loewe.

The fashion designer shared the news of his departure on Instagram, a few days after Loewe’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection was presented at Paris Fashion Week.

“Eleven years ago, I was given the most incredible opportunity: to write a chapter in a story that is now 179 years old,” wrote Anderson. “They say all good things must come to an end, but I disagree. While my own chapter draws to a close, Loewe’s story will continue for many years to come and I will look on with pride.”

Anderson joined Loewe as creative director in 2013, and he spent the next 11 years shaping the Spanish luxury house with his eccentric vision. At Loewe’s fashion shows for men and women, he often unveiled surreal items that would go viral, like balloon shoes and hoop dresses. He also oversaw the brand’s buzzy collaborations with On, Studio Ghibli and Paula’s Ibiza.

Anderson also launched the Loewe Craft Prize in 2016. The designer wrote, “We created a platform that genuinely supports and gives visibility to vanishing crafts, young makers, old masters, and new ideas. I would like to thank the (Loewe) Foundation team, the members of the Jury and Expert panel for their time and dedication.”

Reflecting on his legacy at Loewe, Anderson wrote, “Since day one, I envisioned creating a cultural brand. This idea relied heavily on the trust and generosity of the many artists, craftspeople, estates, foundations, museums and galleries who contributed their work. I am sincerely grateful to you all.”

Anderson’s successor at Loewe has not been named. Many fashion insiders speculate that Anderson is headed to Dior (Kim Jones stepped down from his role as creative director of Dior Men in January 2025). The designer will continue to helm his eponymous label, JW Anderson.

Demna Is The New Artistic Director of Gucci

After 10 years at Balenciaga, Demna has been appointed to the role of artistic director at Gucci, one of the biggest fashion houses in the industry. He is expected to join the house early July, after presenting his final couture collection for Balenciaga.

“I am truly excited to join the Gucci family. It is an honour to contribute to a House that I deeply respect and have long admired. I look forward to writing together with Stefano and the whole team a new chapter of Gucci’s amazing story,” the designer said in a statement.

Donatella Versace Steps Down As Creative Director; Dario Vitale Succeeds Her As Chief Creative Officer

Over in Milan, Donatella Versace has stepped down as creative director of Versace after 30 years in the role. She will take on the newly created role of chief brand ambassador, while Dario Vitale, who cut his teeth at brands like Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta, has been installed as the brand’s new chief creative officer.

“I am truly honoured to join Versace as the chief creative officer and to be a part of this special and powerful fashion luxury House created by Gianni and Donatella,” Vitale said in a statement. “The House of Versace has a unique heritage that has spanned decades and has shaped the history of fashion. I want to express my sincere thank you to Donatella for her trust in me, and for her tireless dedication to the extraordinary brand that Versace is today. It is a privilege to contribute to the future growth of Versace and its global impact through my vision, expertise and dedication.”

Following the announcement, Donatella shared a heartfelt Instagram post following the news with the caption, “I hope I’ve made you proud so far”, undoubtedly a dedication to her late brother Gianni Versace, who founded the brand in 1978.

Sabato De Sarno Leaves Gucci

Sabato De Sarno is leaving Gucci after two years. The news was announced via a statement from the Italian luxury brand on 6 February.

In that statement, Gucci CEO Stefano Cantino says, “I would like to express my deep gratitude to Sabato for his passion and dedication to Gucci. I sincerely appreciate how he honoured Gucci’s craftsmanship and heritage with such commitment.”

De Sarno joined Gucci as its creative director in 2023, succeeding Alessandro Michele. The Italian fashion designer brought a minimalist vision to Gucci’s womenswear and menswear collections, with a focus on wardrobe staples, coats and tailoring. His Gucci campaigns were similarly straightforward, and he made an effort to spotlight emerging models in them. De Sarno also tapped celebrities like Dakota Johnson, Kendall Jenner, Paul Mescal and Debbie Harry to front Gucci’s campaigns.

The 41-year-old designer started his fashion career as an assistant pattern-maker at Prada, and during his early years at Valentino, where he was design director, he focused on designing men’s coats. De Sarno’s tenure at Gucci, which he joined after leaving Valentino, lasted two years.

De Sarno’s successor is yet to be announced. Gucci will present a collection from its in-house design team during its Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show on 25 February, during Milan Fashion Week.

Kim Jones Exits Dior

Kim Jones is leaving Dior. The British designer is making his exit mere days after presenting his Dior Men’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection in Paris, which received a standing ovation. In January 2025, Jones was also awarded the Knight of the Legion of Honor, France’s highest civilian honour.

Jones spent seven years at the helm of Dior, taking over Kris Van Assche in 2018. He drew upon the maison’s rich archives of womenswear and haute couture to create desirable menswear. He also created buzz with a string of collaborations with the likes of Nike, Kaws, Shawn Stussy, Hajime Sorayama, Travis Scott and Lewis Hamilton.

On top of being recognised at the CFDA and the British Fashion Awards, Jones was also awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2020. The news of Jones’s departure from Dior comes three months after he stepped down at Fendi, where he served as artistic director of haute couture and women’s ready-to-wear.

In a statement, Jones said, “It was a true honour to have been able to create my collections within the house of Dior, a symbol of absolute excellence. I express my deep gratitude to my studio and the ateliers who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey. They have brought my creations to life. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the artists and friends I have met through my collaborations. Lastly, I feel sincere gratitude towards Bernard and Delphine Arnault, who have given me their full support.”

Dior has yet to announce Jones’s successor.

Glenn Martens Joins Maison Margiela

JANUARY 2025: Glenn Martens is the new creative director of Maison Margiela (Photo: Instagram / @kylieminogue)

Glenn Martens has been named as the new creative director of Maison Margiela.

The Belgian designer succeeds John Galliano, who left the Paris-based fashion label in December 2024 after a decade.

“I have worked with Glenn for years, I have witnessed his talent, and I know what he is capable of,” said Renzo Rosso, chairman of OTB Group, which owns Maison Margiela. The label was founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela, who retired from the fashion industry in 2009.

“After Martin, who gave life to the maison and its unique Artisanal line, and John who made it the most cutting-edge couture house in the world, I am proud to have a third couturier at its helm,” added Rosso. “Glenn, who studied at Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts like Martin, has already shown his prowess and his vision in couture.”

Martens is currently the creative director of Diesel — also owned by OTB Group — and was formerly at the helm of Y/Project. The 41-year-old designer left his role as creative director of Y/Project in September 2024, and the French fashion was shuttered in January 2025.

The date of Martens’s first fashion show for Maison Margiela is yet to be announced.

The announcement from Maison Margiela and its parent company OTB Group did not specify when Martens would show his first collection for the brand.

SEC Drops Investigation into Web3 Gaming Firm Immutable – Decrypt

SEC Drops Investigation into Web3 Gaming Firm Immutable – Decrypt

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially closed its investigation into Ethereum-based gaming platform Immutable with no enforcement action, the company announced Tuesday.

The decision ends a five-month tussle that began when the regulator issued Immutable a Wells Notice in October 2024, which probed into potential enforcement actions over alleged securities law violations related to the company’s IMX token.

With no further legal consequences against Immutable, the IMX Ecosystem Foundation, and its CEO James Ferguson, the resolution was touted by the company as “a win for Web3 gaming” and “everyone who believes in digital ownership rights.”

The now-closed investigation focused on alleged securities violations related to IMX token sales in 2021, when Immutable raised at least $12.5 million. The SEC had also questioned representations about the token’s backing, particularly regarding a pre-launch investment from Huobi Ventures.

At the time of the Wells Notice, Immutable criticized the SEC’s approach as “overreach” and maintained that its IMX token was not a security.

All part of the pattern

The dismissal follows a broader pattern of the SEC dropping investigations against crypto companies under the Trump administration, which has established a crypto task force led by Hester Peirce and moved away from “regulation by enforcement.”

In retrospect, it’s worth mentioning that the IMX tokens in question were dumped by GameStop in 2022 to the tune of roughly $47 million at the time, following a now badly-ended deal between Immutable and GameStop in which the latter launched an NFT marketplace that made use of Immutable X’s layer-2 scaling solution to process transactions.

It remains unclear whether the ETH earned from these fees was later dissolved, where those went after, and whether those constituted an “immaterial” amount, similar to language that social media platform Reddit used to describe its crypto holdings when it filed for an IPO with the SEC in February 2024.

Earlier today, Decrypt reported that GameStop has updated its investment policy to add and allow Bitcoin as an investment instrument.

Daredevil: Born Again Episode 5 Sets Up A Meeting Between Two Unlikely Marvel Heroes – SlashFilm

    0
Daredevil: Born Again Episode 5 Sets Up A Meeting Between Two Unlikely Marvel Heroes – SlashFilm

This article contains spoilers for “Daredevil: Born Again” season 1, episode 5.

Who would have thought that Matt “Daredevil” Murdock (Charlie Cox) would ever team up with Yusuf Khan (Mohan Kapur), Kamala “Ms. Marvel” Khan’s (Iman Vellani) dad — let alone foil a dangerous bank robbery with the guy? Surprising or not, this is exactly what happens in “Daredevil: Born Again” season 1, episode 5. It all begins when we see Matt face an enemy neither lawyers nor superheroes can readily defeat: An unsymphathetic bank official. Well, “unsympathetic” in the sense that he’s reluctant to give Matt’s law office a loan, which seems to be par for the course for Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes. After all, if Sam “world-saving Avenger and future Captain America” Wilson (Anthony Mackie) himself struggled to get a business loan on “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” what chance would a mere grassroots lawyer from Hell’s Kitchen have?

Fortunately, said banker — who, of course, is Yusuf — turns out to be a perfectly decent human being, and he and Matt hit it off immediately. This comes in handy when the situation switches to one that Matt is far more capable of handling: A bank robbery that turns into a high-stakes hostage situation. As Matt infiltrates the ranks of the hostages and starts making moves, the mild-mannered Yusuf becomes an integral part of the episode in his own right. This incredibly unlikely buddy team-up turns out to be nothing short of delightful. What’s more, it might not be the last meeting between Mr. Murdock and members of the Khan family: When Yusuf invites Matt to a dinner at his family home in New Jersey, he sets up a possible future meeting between Daredevil and Ms. Marvel.

The episode teases several exciting MCU developments

The Marvel Cinematic Universe never wastes a chance to set up future storylines, and indeed, Yusuf Khan’s guest appearance lays the groundwork for several potential developments. During the events of the episode, Yusuf, who’s previously appeared on “Ms. Marvel” (2022) and in “The Marvels” (2023), reveals that Kamala Khan is currently in Los Angeles “visiting some friends.” In all likelihood, this alludes to the young superhero’s comic book affiliation with the West Coast-based Avengers offshoot Champions … also known as Young Avengers.

Marvel’s impending live-action Young Avengers team is pretty much a given, and the MCU has already introduced several future Young Avengers. From Kate “Hawkeye” Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to Cassie “Stature” Lang (Kathryn Newton) and Billy “Wiccan” Maximoff (Joe Locke), the new generation of Marvel’s live-action heroes is well and truly on its way. Since Ms. Marvel is the group’s leader in the comics, the revelation that she’s hanging out in L.A. with some acquaintances sure seems like a setup that will get a massive payoff before long.

As for the dinner invitation that might bring Daredevil and the far more light-hearted Ms. Marvel together, whether that actually happens at some point down the line remains to be seen. On paper, the idea seems strange, since the two characters don’t have much of a history with each other in the comics. Still, this particular team-up might be well worth exploring. After all, while he’s a fairly serious character himself, the comic version of Daredevil has been known to team up with wise-cracking figures like Spider-Man — and as his scenes with Yusuf prove, the MCU’s Matt Murdock also has an energy that can work extremely well with goofier characters.

“Daredevil: Born Again” is now streaming on Disney+.

The ‘Dismissive’ Remark That Sparked Rachel Zegler And Gal Gadot’s Feud

The pair got along during filming. However, things grew awkward due to differing political views and a “dismissive” comment Zegler made about Gadot.

Disney reportedly kept them apart at the premiere and managed Rachel Zegler’s social media accounts after controversies over her past “Snow White” criticisms.

A bombshell report by Variety has shed light on the alleged behind-the-scenes drama between Zegler and her co-star, Gadot.

While insiders insist the two actresses had no “bad blood” during filming and “got along well,” things reportedly became “awkward” in the months leading up to the film’s March 21 release.

According to sources, Zegler and Gadot’s differing stances on the ongoing war in Gaza may have contributed to the unease, but the real turning point came after the Academy Awards on March 2.

Following their joint award presentation, Zegler, 23, responded to an Instagram comment by referring to Gadot, 39, as a “professional pageant queen,” a remark some insiders “considered a dismissive way to describe a fellow actress.”

      Article continues below advertisement

As a result, Disney opted to have the actresses conduct most of their press interviews separately, a move that only “fueled the perception of a feud” between the two.

Reports suggest that Zegler and Gadot were deliberately kept apart during the scaled-down “Snow White” Premiere at Los Angeles’ El Capitan Theatre on March 15.

At the screening afterward, sources claim Zegler sat two rows ahead of Gadot and her family.

By the time of the premiere, the publication reports that “Disney had given up hope that the film could overcome the backlash” surrounding the film.

Last year, tensions were also noticed between the co-stars after Zegler posted “Free Palestine” on X in August 2024, around the time the first “Snow White” trailer dropped.

Producer Marc Platt allegedly flew to New York to discuss the situation with Zegler, who refused to remove the post.

      Article continues below advertisement

Meanwhile, Gadot, who is Israeli, allegedly received death threats, prompting Disney to pay for additional security.

A source told Variety that Zegler “didn’t understand the repercussions of her actions as far as what that meant for the film, for Gal, for anyone.”

Beyond her “Free Palestine” post, Zegler stirred backlash with her remarks about the original “Snow White” film.

She dismissed the 1937 classic as “dated” and criticized the Prince character as “a stalker,” promising that the remake would be more “modern.”

Adding to the controversy, Zegler also took aim at supporters of Donald Trump following the 2024 election. According to the outlet, this was the breaking point for Disney.

The studio allegedly arranged another meeting between Zegler and producer Platt, after which she was assigned a social media strategist, paid for by Disney to monitor her posts leading up to the film’s release.

The Young Actress Has Been Very Optimistic About the Film On Social Media

Despite the uproar surrounding the movie and her remarks, Zegler has embraced “Snow White’s” debut.

On opening day, she posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute featuring behind-the-scenes photos from filming, though noticeably, none included co-star Gadot as the Evil Queen.

Calling the project “a life-changing experience,” Ziegler reflected on how she “became a real adult” while making the movie.

She also recently took to Instagram to celebrate the movie hitting number one worldwide despite negative reviews.

Zegler shared a photo of herself dressed as the titular character and captioned the post, “#1 Movie In The World,” along with an apple and snowflake emoji.

On Friday, March 21, Zegler shared another Instagram post reflecting on her “Snow White” experience, but Gadot was absent from the tribute noticeably.

Instead, she spotlighted members of the production team, including choreographers, camera operators, director Marc Webb, and co-stars Dujonna Gift and Andrew Burnap.

“It takes a village to bring stories like ‘Snow White’ to the big screen and i loved this one so very much,” Zegler wrote, emphasizing the collaborative effort behind the film. “Here’s a little glimpse into this family I came to care for deeply.”

She encouraged fans to see the cast and crew’s work and “catch them all in action both in front of and behind the camera, in theaters now.”

That same day, Zegler also posted a separate Instagram tribute to her publicists and stylists, thanking them for their support throughout the global press tour.

Grab The Complete Castlevania Netflix Series On Blu-Ray For This Week

Castlevania fans can get all four seasons of the original Netflix animated series for roughly $40 at Amazon during the retailer’s Big Spring Sale. A box set containing Seasons 1 and 2 is discounted to $18.77, while Seasons 3 and 4 are up for grabs for about $20 each. All three Blu-rays are eligible for Amazon’s B2G1 free promotion. Simply add them to your cart and you’ll get an additional discount at checkout equal to the cost of Seasons 1 and 2.

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 1 isn’t included in Amazon’s promotion, but you can still save $15 off its $40 list price.

Netflix’s Castlevania Animated Series on Blu-ray

It’s unclear if Nocturne Season 2, which aired in January on Netflix, will receive a physical release, but considering all of the other seasons of Castlevania have, it seems likely.

      Castlevania Animated Series on Blu-ray

Fans of the show will also want to check out Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series, a nearly 200-page book detailing the development of the show’s original four-season run.

In case you missed it when it first aired, the original Castlevania series follows vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, powerful witch Sypha, and Alucard as they take on Dracula and his demonic armies. The second half of the show focuses on a coven of vampires looking to create their own undead kingdom, as well as the foul-mouthed Grim Reaper himself (this might just be Malcolm McDowell’s best role ever).

As you’d expect, the show is violent and has beautifully animated action scenes, as well as banter sharper than a razor blade during some of the more quiet scenes. The Blu-ray editions come with behind-the-scenes videos, voice actor interviews, storyboards, art galleries, and other special features.

      Castlevania: Nocturne
      Castlevania: Nocturne

Set hundreds of years after the original Castlevania animated series, Nocturne Season 1 followed Richter Belmont and took inspiration from the 1993 PC Engine game Rondo of Blood, which some fans may know better by a different name. Rondo of Blood was exclusive to Japan at launch; Konami brought the story to North America on Super Nintendo as Castlevania: Dracula X. Nocturne Season 2 answered many of the remaining questions from Season 1 while leaving the door open for a third season.

Netflix hasn’t renewed Castlevania: Nocturne for Season 3. There’s also a chance that instead of continuing Nocturne’s story, a new Castlevania arc begins. The Castlevania animated series has been a bright spot for the franchise in recent years, so hopefully it continues in some fashion.

Speaking of Netflix animated adaptations of video games, Arcane Season 1 released on 4K and standard Blu-ray alongside Nocturne last October. Arcane launched with two Limited Edition Steelbooks, a 4K Blu-ray featuring Jinx cover art and a 1080p Blu-ray featuring Vi cover art. Amazon recently restocked Arcane’s 4K Blu-ray Limited Edition Steelbook for $37.76 (was $60), and the standard Blu-ray Limited Edition Steelbook for $35.64 (was $55). The non-steelbook Blu-ray edition is available for only $26 (was $45). Arcane concluded its run on Netflix with its second and final season in November.

Game Informer Magazine Is Back From The Dead Thanks To An NFT And Blockchain Company

Game Informer Magazine Is Back From The Dead Thanks To An NFT And Blockchain Company

In a rather shocking turn of events, the iconic Game Informer magazine has been resurrected. Not only that, but the entire original team is back and looking forward to relaunching the magazine and website.

“I was devastated last summer when Game Informer was shuttered by our prior parent company, and so was the rest of our team,” said Matt Miller, Editor-in-Chief on the official Game Informer website. “Not only did we really relish working together, but we also thought we were doing something valuable in contributing to the conversation around the gaming hobby.”

“Over the months since [since Gamestop shuttered the magazine], two remarkable things happened. The first is that Game Informer as a brand and an outlet was purchased and given a new lease on life. The second is that the entire team that was working together at Game Informer’s closure has returned, from editorial to production and beyond. The entire team. Seriously – I’m still pinching myself.”

This rather miraculous return comes courtesy of a surprising source: Gunzilla Games. If you don’t know the name, don’t feel too bad. The company made NFT battle royale game Off The Grid, and blockchain platform Gunz. The company event has movie director Neill Blomkamp in its camp, acting as Chief Creative Officer and co-founder.

Vlad Korolov, CEO & Co-Founder of Gunzilla Games, said, “We are proud to welcome the talented voices behind Game Informer in the Gunzilla Games family, and join their fight to preserve the heart of video game journalism in what has been a tumultuous time for the industry. Its legacy spans over 33 years, the publication has had a dedicated readership since its inception and still holds a special place in the hearts of many players across multiple generations — including us.”

Miller promises that part of the deal is that Game Informer remains “an independent editorial outlet” and that the team is going to be making”100 percent of the decisions” regarding what is covered.

The website has been relaunched and there are even a bunch of new reviews already live covering some of the games released since the magazine shut. Speaking of which, the magazine will also be getting relaunched.

I admit, this new is confusing. I’m excited to see Game Informer return, especially as I have a soft spot for magazines. But the new owners are a tad baffling. Provided Game Informer steers clear of ever covering anything related to Gunzilla it shouldn’t prove an issue. An NFT and blockchain company, though? What a crazy situation.

Sister Wives: Janelle’s Burning Bosom for Robyn Takes Blame Off Kody?

Sister Wives: Janelle’s Burning Bosom for Robyn Takes Blame Off Kody?

Sister Wives fans may remember how Janelle Brown and her co-wives once put Robyn Brown in a pretty little package for Kody Brown.

It is amazing to think that Janelle, Meri, and Christine once showered Kody Brown with some rather sappy thoughts of admiration toward Robyn – but they did. So, when Kody took on a fourth wife, his three wives urged him to do this.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Gets Pushed

It is not often Kody is considered a victim in the Sister Wives world. But at least on one important journey, he wasn’t the only driver of the bus. There was a time that his co-wives took over the wheel. But he’s often the only one fans blame for the beginning of a treacherous journey – bringing Robyn into the family.

Jump back to the first Sister Wives season when Robyn Brown, or Robyn Sullivan back then, was still courting Kody Brown. He dated her with the blessings from his three original wives. But it was more than just them giving their blessings; they were excited and wanted this very much.

If you remember, Kody and Robyn got married late into the first season. But it also marks the beginning of when things started to sour within the family.

Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown experienced something spiritual when Robyn first surfaced as the potential fourth wife. To say that Kody got three green lights from his wives to pursue Robyn is an understatement. They seem to push him towards her.

        Documented By All Three Wives…

If you watch the Sister Wives series today, Kody and his wives seem like a totally different family from the five spouses who wrote a book together – “Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconditional Marriage”. The book is about the journey of building their polygamous family.

The three original wives shared their feelings about Robyn in this book. Starting with before she came into the family, during the courting stage.

Some of the stuff they said was unbelievable – even sappy. When reading these long-ago thoughts, it also sounds like Meri, Janelle, and Christine got what they asked for – and then some.

So, as the Sister Wives fans point fingers at Kody – did we forget that Robyn hopping on board wasn’t against the will of the other wives? Papa Brown didn’t need any encouragement to become smitten by Robyn – But he got plenty of it anyway.

Sister Wives: Kody’s Second Set of Teenage Years

When Robyn first came on the scene, Kody was like a teenager with a humongous crush. Meri recognized this first. But only because she knew about and Kody and Robyn longer. She and Kody kept Robyn a secret from the other two wives for a while.

But once Janelle and Christine learned about Robyn, Kody had all three wives urging him to bring her into the family. So, when he asked their permission to court her – he got an overwhelming yes.

Meri had a lot to do with Robyn joining the family. She met Robyn at the same time Kody did. Then Meri started the ball rolling by asking Kody to think about having Robyn as a fourth wife.

Robyn Brown Fit Into Meri Brown’s Agenda…

Robyn coming into the family seemed to work for Meri’s agenda. Sister Wives fans think the fourth wife also covered what Meri needed from Robyn. The first wife was not on the best of terms with Janelle or Christine. So, she looked to Robyn to be her sister wife and her friend. For Meri, these relationships were lacking with the other two wives.

Still, some fans think Meri had retaliation in mind when reeling-in Robyn for Kody. After decades of three wives, Meri coaxed Kody into this fourth wife at a time when Christine Brown was pregnant.

So, Meri did her share of urging Kody into his fourth marriage. But this new relationship soon it turned on her. Late into Kody’s courtship with Robyn and through the honeymoon, it hit Meri that she had competition in Robyn.

While Meri and Robyn started off as friends, it soon became obvious that Kody doted on Robyn. Meri said at the time she blamed Robyn for her own faltering marriage with Kody.

Sister Wives: Kody First Goes To Janelle Brown

So, Meri was a huge factor in Robyn entering the family, but Christine and Janelle also chimed in at the time. They each had some overwhelming spiritual signs pointing to Robyn. Or at least that is what Christine and Janelle said at the time.

Since Kody and Meri were the only ones who knew about Kody ‘s designs on Robyn – the time came to tell the other two wives. In the book, Kody shares how he approached Janelle first.

Kody described Janelle as being overwhelmed in emotion. He said it was if she had a “surreal experience.” He also said Janelle believed there was “something special about this” and claimed “this was supposed to happen.” But then it gets even sappier.

With tears in her eyes, Janelle felt “a burning in her bosom” – she was hit with “an undeniable affirmation” for Kody to take on wife number four. Kody described feeling “giddy” after Janelle shared her affirmation.

        Christine Brown Is Next…

So, then it was time for Kody to approach Christine about Robyn. She stunned Kody. Christine told him that she had a stronger affirmation about Robyn coming into the family than she did when her own affirmation pointed her his way.

In other words, Robyn was meant to be with Kody more-so than Christine? Some Sister Wives fans thought that is what Christine was saying. So, needless to say, Kody saw his wives roll out the red carpet for him to pursue Robyn as wife number four.

Kody, Meri, Janelle, and Christine made one thing very clear to Sister Wives fans several times throughout the seasons. If any of the wives were against his marriage to Robyn, she would not be part of the family today.

While other husbands struggle through a mid-life crisis, Kody didn’t have to. Sister Wives fans point out that his three wives supplied him with an outlet – a new younger wife. This, along with the convertible he was driving at the time screamed mid-life crisis for fans.

In fairness to the original three wives, as the seasons moved along, Kody’s treatment towards them became awful. Some of the things he said in public caused a lot of pain for all three of these now-ex-wives.

But sadly, Meri, Janelle, and Christine all had a hand at bringing Robyn on board, which most fans believe was the start of their demise as a once-somewhat-happy Sister Wives family. And one thing is for sure, the three ex-wives don’t share sappy words about Robyn anymore.
