Survival Float Simulator

There’s no way to talk about Survival Float Simulator – Crocodile Waters Craft, Raft, Build, without talking about Survive & Craft. You should go read that review before continuing… read? Good. SFS is a ripoff of that game which itself was a ripoff of Raft. But while S&C managed to hold its own and was strangely good, SFS is a straight up scam. Let me start by showing you what happens when you go off your raft into the water:

The opening logo lasted longer than the actual footage did.

Yes, when you fall in the water in Survival Float Simulator, you die. Why? Don’t know. But wait, there’s more! You construct a hook to grab resources floating about. There’s one problem, there are no resources to grab. This is in stark contrast to S&C, where resources where everywhere, too many in fact. Because you can’t grab any resources, you can’t construct the hammer to use the planks you have. So you are stuck on the the tiny platform you start on. Furthermore, when you drop the planks in the water, they stay still. Despite the little water animation, you are actually sitting still. Yes, Survival Float Simulator is completely broken.

When you make a photocopy of a photocopy, the image quality degrades. When you rip off a ripoff, similarly, the quality degrades. Survival Float Simulator is a scam. All of the images shown on the eShop page were faked because the game is broken. There are no resources to get, so there’s nothing to do in the game. Just go in the water and die over and over again. Play Survive and Craft and thank me later. This gets a Garbage with a one back-end score. May the crocodile end your misery quickly!

Overall: Survival Float Simulator is a ripoff of a ripoff, and is therefore complete garbage and a scam.

Verdict: Garbage

Beeple’s “Tree of Knowledge” Triptych: A Deep Dive Into Digital Art Mastery | NFT CULTURE | NFT News | Web3 Culture | NFTs & Crypto Art

Beeple, also known as Mike Winkelmann, has been at the forefront of the digital art revolution, bringing a blend of technology, dystopian satire, and artistic commentary to collectors worldwide. His latest release, “The Tree of Knowledge”, is a captivating triptych that explores a symbiotic relationship between technology and nature. This piece is part of a timed edition sale, ensuring exclusivity for those who engage with it during the limited 48-hour release window.

The Tree of Knowledge: Concept and Medium

Beeple’s “The Tree of Knowledge” is not just a print; it’s a reflection of the artist’s complex relationship with the digital world and reality. The triptych is based on Beeple’s debut generative artwork—a real-time, digital sculpture that responds to global events, cycling between three distinct states: signal, noise, and violence. Each of these states represents various interpretations of reality, and they invite the viewer to ponder on how technology influences perception.

The static excerpts from these states have been masterfully translated into UV pigment prints by Make-Ready, a London-based printmaking studio. These prints are sealed with a satin varnish and are available on Somerset Tub Sized Radiant White paper, giving them both physical depth and a high-quality finish.

What Makes This Piece Special

Each of the three prints in the triptych has been carefully created to embody the distinct elements of the original generative sculpture. The symbolic use of signal, noise, and violence encapsulates the chaotic and fragmented nature of information in our digital age. Beeple’s personal touch is also present in the limited edition’s authentication, with each print being signed, dated (2024), and numbered by the artist himself.

Beyond the art, the framing options further add to the aesthetic appeal. Buyers can choose between unframed pieces or opt for a black or white frame, both of which are painted with visible grain to enhance the print’s texture.

Limited Edition Timed Release

The triptych is offered as a time-limited edition, meaning its availability depends on the number of buyers within the 48-hour release window. Once this period ends, the edition size will be finalized, further cementing the exclusivity of the prints.

The official release date is October 9, 2024, and free worldwide shipping is offered, with expected delivery between February 12-19, 2024. The packaging also reflects the high standards of Avant Arte, ensuring that each print arrives safely, whether framed or unframed, in a custom-made wooden box.

Why Collectors Should Pay Attention

Beeple’s rise to prominence—most notably with his landmark Everydays project that sold for $69.3 million at Christie’s in 2021—positions him as one of the most influential digital artists today. His works often delve into political satire, blending dystopian imagery with futuristic elements. The Tree of Knowledge represents another iteration of Beeple’s commitment to evolving the digital art landscape, offering both collectors and casual enthusiasts a piece of this historical moment.

With this timed release, collectors have the opportunity to own a piece of artwork from an artist who is not only a pioneer in digital spaces but also someone who continues to challenge the norms of traditional and NFT art markets.

TL;DR:

Beeple’s The Tree of Knowledge is a time-limited edition print triptych exploring the intersection of technology and reality. This exclusive release, available for 48 hours starting October 9, 2024, reflects Beeple’s generative digital sculpture, with three prints representing signal, noise, and violence. Each print is signed, numbered, and available framed or unframed, offering collectors a unique addition to their art collection.

Strictly’s Jamie Borthwick hits back at Craig Revel Horwood’s criticism and defends ‘connection’ with Michelle Tsiakkas on It Takes Two

Strictly star Jamie Borthwick has had his say on It Takes Two over Craig Revel Horwood’s criticism of his performance with professional partner Michelle Tsiakkas at the weekend.

The EastEnders star has defended his “chemistry” with Michelle, after the judges urged for more fluidity in his moves…

Jamie Borthwick has his say on It Takes Two

On Saturday Craig complained that Jamie’s dance had just the “structural” parts rather than connection with his partner – which is very important in a Rumba.

Jamie has now had his say on It Takes Two. He told Janette Manrara whilst gracing the iconic purple sofa: “To be honest – biasedly, if that is even a word – I disagree with Craig.

“I think there was fantastic connection.”

Jamie then turned to grin at Michelle who chimed in: “I thought there was connection.”

I think there was fantastic connection.

The actor went on to echo: “I think there was fantastic connection,” with a pleased grin.

Michelle then praised: “He was so into it,” to which Jamie agreed “yeah”.

The dancing pro added: “It felt so good.”

Jamie repeated the sentiment, insisting: “Bar anything else, I’m pleased – obviously all the judges they all know what they are talking about and they are all fantastic.

“Particularly this week, I was happy that Shirley was happy, because she is the queen. So, I’m happy that she was happy.

“But you know what, above anything else, I just loved it.”

To which Janette agreed: “That is all that matters.”

For movie week, Jamie and Michelle will be performing a Quickstep to I’m Still Standing by Elton John. Jamie also performed a Quickstep in last years Christmas special, so it is sure to go down a treat with the judges.

It comes after a Body Language expert also agreed that Jamie and Michelle are lacking chemistry.

Body language expert Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, said: “I think Jamie tries to cover his nerves with humour and sarcasm. I don’t feel he and Michelle have a great connection either.

“There’s a bit of bravado there, but that’s part of his nature perhaps as an actor. I do fear he’s not willing to give his all to the process and that affects the relationship dynamic and body language, as well as feeling comfortable doing certain things.

“I don’t think the connection with Michelle is as strong. We aren’t seeing matching and mirroring or tactile moments,” he added of the Strictly couple.

Will the pair find their footing as a couple?

We’ll have to wait till Saturday night to find out…

Call of Duty Fans Share Their Hopes for Black Ops 6’s New Nuketown

Call of Duty Fans Share Their Hopes for Black Ops 6’s New Nuketown

Nuketown is confirmed to return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but with Treyarch keeping quiet about what it will look like, fans hope it’ll live up to expectations.

There are some Call of Duty maps that live in our memories long after their release – and there are others that Activision simply won’t let us forget.

Originally arriving with the original Black Ops, and having made its return on countless occasions, it’s safe to say that Nuketown falls under both those categories.

Is Nuketown Coming to Black Ops 6?

Yes, Nuketown is confirmed to arrive in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, although it won’t be present on release day.

Activision has already confirmed all 16 maps coming to Black Ops 6 at launch, and Nuketown isn’t one of them.

However, the map Warhead appears to be a version of Nuketown from after the nuclear warhead has detonated, and that Strike Map will be available on day one.

Warhead Map in Black Ops 6
Warhead map in Black Ops 6

A Nuketown variant has been present in every Black Ops title to date, and we’re happy to report that it’s set to return in Black Ops 6 too!

After all, all the way back in Black Ops 6’s initial showcase, we saw the map’s name appear in the matchmaking lobby, giving us confirmation that Nuketown will be back again.

Nuketown Spotted in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer StreamNuketown Spotted in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Stream

In the case of Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch’s most recent title, Nuketown arrived in a post-launch update on November 24, 2020, eleven days after the game’s release.

We expect that the map will arrive shortly after Black Ops 6’s launch, though this is yet to be confirmed.

      What Should Nuketown Look Like?

Over on the Black Ops 6 subreddit, fans are sharing their hot takes as to what Nuketown should look like this time around.

One popular post shares the opinion that Treyarch should cease making new variants of Nuketown with each new instalment and simply return to the map’s classic appearance from Black Ops 1:

On the other hand, several fans are hoping that the opposite is true!

A new rumor suggests that Black Ops 6 will feature multiple Nuketown variants to play on, similar to MW3’s new assortment of Shipment variants. For some players, it seems that would be the ideal situation.

Other Black Ops fans suggest that they’re tired of Nuketown altogether, which is fair enough given that players are already complaining about Black Ops 6 having too many small maps.

Personally, we think it’s quite unlikely that the OG Nuketown will come back, seeing as Treyarch always likes to offer a new take on the beloved map every time it returns.

However, with only a few in-game years having passed since Cold War’s Nuketown ’84, we don’t expect Black Ops 6’s 1990s version of the map to be too wild.

Love Is Blind’s Hannah and Nick D. on Love Triangle With Leo, Brittany

        0
Love Is Blind’s Hannah and Nick D. on Love Triangle With Leo, Brittany

Season 7 of Love Is Blind featured a love triangle — or rectangle — between Hannah Jiles, Nick Dorka, Leo Braudy and Brittany Wisniewski.

In the pods, Hannah was torn between Nick D. and Leo, initially breaking up with Nick D. because she thought her connection with Leo (who was also seeing Brittany) was stronger.

“I think it was really hard with Leo and Nick because I liked them both and they’re very different,” Hannah told Us Weekly before the show started streaming on Wednesday, October 2. “And so I was like, ‘OK, I think I need to make a decision. … Nick, I think we need to break up. I just think maybe we’re just not compatible.’ And then as soon as I broke up with him I was like, [sobbing face]’ so I was like, ‘Maybe I made the wrong decision.’ I just instantly regretted it and I knew. I chose Nick because I just, like, knew he was my person.”

Nick D., for his part, told Us that he wasn’t surprised that Hannah gave him another shot. “I felt like it wasn’t the last conversation we were gonna have,” he said. “I’m just glad she came around because I was ready to talk to her again.”

        Nick D., Hannah, Leo.
        Adam Rose/Netflix(3)

After Hannah informed Leo that she was definitely moving forward with Nick D., the art dealer started to spiral and tried to get her to change her mind. The following day, he apologized and then flipped the script — telling Hannah he was always going to pick Brittany and asking her to put in a good word with her housemate. Hannah refused, but Brittany accepted a proposal from Leo regardless.

After one of the most awkward post-pod reveals ever (complete with Brittany going blank when asked what she loved about Leo), it was revealed that the twosome split off camera weeks later.

Since the premiere of Love Is Blind in 2020, fans have wondered how effective the concept of speed-dating without seeing the other person actually is. Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, who got married on day 40 of the dating experiment, found their happily ever on the show. However, Lauren later admitted that finding The One […]

“I don’t really know if I was surprised or not,” Hannah told Us of their breakup.”I wasn’t in the pods listening to their conversations. I really had no clue how intimate and deep they were. So whether they stayed together for forever [or] they didn’t work out, I didn’t know [what to expect].”

Nick D. had a similar response, noting that “sometimes experiments don’t work.” He and Tyler Francis also defended Leo when learning from Us that it appeared he flaunted his finances and art dealer job on the show.

Telling Us that Leo didn’t talk about money “that much at all” in the men’s quarters, Tyler added: “I actually joked with him. I was like, ‘Hey, Rolex.’ That was it. But it was passed down through his grandparents. That was the only thing that’s ever been talked about.”

So if it wasn’t the obsession over his Rolex, why did Leo and Brittany pull the plug?

“We had this conversation of how things could work out, and we went over our daily schedules and how we would fit into each other’s lives, and then once we got to Miami, we just felt the disconnect,” Brittany told Entertainment Weekly. “One night we had a very mutual conversation of like, ‘OK, clearly some shift is happening here, and maybe we are just good friends.’ There is no bad blood or anything, so nothing crazy happened. I’m very lucky of how that turned out. … Something wasn’t there. And I can’t explain what it is, but we both felt it and we just had a mutual understanding of it and did our best, but we did ultimately move on.”

While Brittany and Leo didn’t go to Mexico with the cast, Hannah and Nick D. got into their second blowup fight on the trip. Things took a turn for the pair when he started joking around with an older woman on the beach while riding a fake duck (yes, really), ultimately giving his fiancée the ick.

“I think it was blown out of proportion a little bit,” Nick D. told Us of Hannah’s reaction. “I also understand why she got a little bit upset, but it was harmless and I was just having fun and I wish the situation went a little bit different, but I see where she’s coming from.”

Swift to begin trials for digital asset transactions across global network in 2025

SWIFT, the global bank messaging network, announced that banks across North America, Europe, and Asia will begin live trials of digital assets and currency transactions over its network starting next year, according to an Oct. 3 statement.

These trials will explore how financial institutions can leverage their existing SWIFT connections to process transactions involving both traditional and digital assets.

        ‘Digital islands’

SWIFT pointed out that institutional interest in digital assets is rapidly growing, with 134 countries exploring CBDCs. The tokenized asset market could reach $30 trillion by 2034, and 91% of institutional investors have shown interest in it.

SWIFT aims to demonstrate how its network can ease connectivity challenges between digital platforms, which remain a major barrier to broader sector adoption. The company highlighted that the trials will focus on streamlining connections between disparate digital systems, often referred to as “digital islands,” which hinder the seamless use of digital assets.

Tom Zschach, SWIFT’s Chief Innovation Officer, emphasized the importance of integrating both digital and traditional assets, stating:

“As new forms of value emerge, our intention is to continue offering our community the ability to seamlessly make and track transactions of all kinds of assets – using the same secure and resilient infrastructure that is integral to their operations today.”

To support these efforts, SWIFT plans to enhance its infrastructure, developing an advanced system capable of managing digital asset and currency transactions across various networks. This follows the company’s previous work in linking public and private blockchains, as well as its efforts to connect Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and integrate other digital assets.

Already, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Banque de France are collaborating with SWIFT in preparation for next year’s trials. They are exploring SWIFT’s capabilities in foreign exchange experiments as part of the European Central Bank’s initiative to advance new technologies for wholesale payments.

SWIFT is also examining how its interlinking capabilities could connect emerging bank-led networks, like the US Regulated Settlement Network, to traditional financial systems.

Additionally, the company has joined Project Agora, a Bank for International Settlements-led initiative. This project focuses on integrating tokenized commercial bank deposits and tokenized wholesale CBDCs on a unified platform.
