In celebration of Halloween, Modiphius Entertainment has released the third installment of its annual Halloween Horrors series, a free adventure PDF titled Halloween Horrors III: Asylum of Nightmares for the Achtung! Cthulhu RPG. The adventure, available on the Modiphius webstore and DriveThru RPG, brings new eldritch horrors to players just in time for the season.
Halloween Horrors III introduces five new characters that can be used within the Containment Breach mission or integrated into other Achtung! Cthulhu campaigns. In this scenario, agents arrive at Cailleanach House, a secluded facility in Scotland, where a series of unexpected events, starting with a power outage triggered by a demon doll, plunge players into the Dreamlands and the shared nightmares of the facility’s patients.
John Houlihan, line editor at Modiphius, described the release as an addition that would enhance the Halloween season’s atmosphere in-game: “Halloween Horrors is back and this time it’s more terrifying than ever. It’s always immense fun to work on this collection of nasties and this time we’ve created some truly sanity-defying terrors to star in your games of Achtung! Cthulhu. Be afraid… be very afraid.”
If you were hoping for a reconciliation between King Charles and Prince Harry, we’re afraid we have some bad news.
It seems that Charles is still not on speaking terms with his youngest son.
And there’s a feeling in Buckingham Palace that the monarch should continue to reject Harry’s peace offerings for the sake of his fragile health.
A King’s Private Pain
As you’re probably aware, Charles was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
The severity and exact nature of his illness remain unknown.
That secrecy is not terribly surprising, of course, as Charles has dedicated his life to the embodiment of his family’s “never complain, never explain” motto.
But a stiff upper lip can only conceal so many dark mysteries. And Charles’ damaged relationship with Harry has become public knowledge.
King Charles Has Been Refusing Prince Harry’s Phone Calls, Source Claims
Now, it seems that the two situations are related in more ways than we realized.
According to a new report from Page Six, Charles still “has not responded to his estranged son Prince Harry’s phone calls and letters.”
And one insider says the cold shoulder is at least partially a result of advice from medical experts who have cautioned the king to keep his “stress levels down.”
“I know people keep saying, ‘Why doesn’t he see Harry when he is in town? Why can’t they patch things up?’” royal biographer Robert Hardman tells Fox News.
“But right now, there is a sense that we’ve just got to keep the king’s stress levels down. We don’t want him to have extra things to worry about. Let’s get through this. There is a sense that now is probably not the time.”
A Complex Situation
Hardman goes on to claim that the situation is not as simple as Charles merely offering his forgiveness.
Due to claims made in Harry’s memoir and elsewhere an elaborate process of atonement and reconciliation will need to take place.
“If you listen to what Harry has said in his TV series, in his book, in interviews — there’s a lot to unpack,”
Hardman says Charles still has “a lot of things he wants to get sorted out.”
“Right now, there’s a sense that it’s not the time. But I’m sure the king would like to normalize things,” he added.
If there’s any truth to these rumors, then perhaps Charles will be open to a reconciliation once he’s completed treatment.
Of course, if Willam still wants Harry banned, then Charles’ hands might be tied.
Even a king can only do so much when it comes to family disputes.

He is greeted by Bianca, who is ready to wear him down for a confession.
Things get even worse for him when excited Teddy reveals that his PI friend has CCTV from a warehouse near Debbie’s care home. Could this be the evidence the police need?
Bianca demands to come to see the footage, but Reiss manages to give her the slip and heads to the warehouse with Teddy and watches the footage alone. He’s stunned by what he sees and sneaks out with the flash drive,as angry Teddy tells Bianca that Reiss did a runner.
Storming over to No.25, Bianca bangs on the door, demanding answers from Reiss. He does not answer, and instead locks himself in the house and cowers from Bianca’s loud shouts.
Nothing can stop a determined Bianca and she corners him at the café with Martin and demands answers. Things aren’t sure to go well, however, Bianca is given fresh hope when Teddy hands her the other copy of the footage.
At The Vic, Reiss tells a sneaky lie to Teddyprompting Teddy to admit Bianca has another copy and is about to watch it. Reiss races to No.25, but will he get there in time?

2. EastEnders spoilers: Kat’s social battle
Love could be in the air for Kat and Alfie, despite their relentless battle with social services – which are still in full swing.
Kat is nervous ahead of her latest meeting about Tommy, and she continues to blank Stacey and Jean out of anger. Alfie, however, wants to get things back on track. He begs Stacey to call a truce and tells a fib to get Kat to meet the Slaters at The Vic.
When she arrives, Kat is furious to have been tricked, but Alfie gives a truly impassioned Moon-speech, and they finally reconcile.
After Kat tells Alfie she’s grateful, Freddie notes how insane their chemistry is, and Alfie admits he still has feelings for Kat.
At the social services meeting, Kat is devastated by how cold Tommy is towards her and fears they’ll never get their boy back. But the social worker is positive. Alfie even suggests they want him back for Christmas, and shares a moment with Tommy.
The meeting ends positively and back at the flat, grateful Kat surprises Alfie with a kiss. A bit bamboozled, Kat goes to get Stacey’s take on the confusing situation between her and Alfie, while he seeks counsel from Ian and Freddie (as usual).
Could they be getting back together?
3. Panesars vs Mitchells
The all-out battle between the two Walford families is only progressing. But this week, we feel the consequences for poor Barney.
After a stay with his mum, Barney is back and makes it clear he’s still annoyed with Teddy and Harry. Feeling sad, Teddy makes a plan on how to win Barney around and make him proud to be a Mitchell.
Teddy reveals to Harry that he intends to buy Peggy’s and become a respectable Walford businessman, he hopes this will impress Barney. A nightclub is the way to a 15 year old’s heart, after all…
But he thinks there’s something more and he tasks Harry with finding out what went on when Barney visited their mum.
But Harry is too heavy-handed as usual, and leaves Barney even more isolated and Teddy in despair. They need a united front in the midst of their family battle.
EastEnders spoilers: 4. Harry tricks Jack
Harry is also preoccupied with his latest tirade – against Jack Branning.
Penny is hurt by Jack’s dismissive reaction to the news she’s received her court summons due to the club crush. In response, she asks Harry to help her punish him by turning up the pressure on her dad.
Harry steps up to the task and tells Jack he’s got a job for him. Although Jack angrily declines, Harry reminds him that if he doesn’t collect a stolen motor as instructed, he’ll destroy Jack’s career and put him behind bars.
However, Jack is in a dire situation as he realises that the dodgy job clashes with Amy’s physio appointment.
He decides to be a doting father (for once) and prioritise Amy, but luckily makes it back just in time to do the car job.
Lurking nearby, Harry takes photos of Jack picking up the dodgy motor. Could this be the end of Jack’s career?
He faces danger when back on the Square. Jack is distracted by a text from Harry. He then drives into the back of Reiss’ car, causing damage to the stolen motor…
5. Avani struggles
Avani and Nugget continued to struggle amid Nish’s incarceration.
From afar, Denise battles with the guilt and worries she’ll continue to suffer mentally.
Will the guilt become too much for her?

The gaming landscape is full of surprises, as illustrated by Microsoft’s latest financial report. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has quickly risen to become the fastest-selling entry in the franchise’s history, the Xbox Series X/S consoles have seen a dramatic decline, with sales down by 29% over the last quarter. This mix of success and struggle shows Microsoft in an unusual position, where its recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard becomes even more crucial to its gaming division’s future.
In the quarter ending this October, the Xbox console sales figures have fallen to an estimated 1.3 million units shipped. This drop is a stark contrast to the growth Xbox enjoyed through revenues tied to Activision Blizzard titles. The latter contributed to an impressive 43% revenue boost for Xbox. Without the support of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft would have seen a flat 0% growth, a challenging statistic for any division under pressure to prove its worth within a larger conglomerate like Microsoft. This reliance on Activision titles suggests a shift in the importance of exclusive, first-party games at Xbox, as major releases from within are limited in number. However, next quarter should see additional first-party game releases, potentially alleviating some of the pressure on Xbox execs.
The blockbuster success of Black Ops 6 was notably absent from Microsoft’s Q3 financials but still marks an unprecedented achievement in Call of Duty’s extensive timeline. Launch numbers for Black Ops 6 outperformed the previous title by 60% and set a new Game Pass record for “most subscriber adds on launch day.” Modern Warfare 3, which had received lukewarm reactions, still managed to perform well in 2023, but Black Ops 6 appears to have regained the favor of long-time fans and new players alike. The success of this game reinforces Microsoft’s heavy bet on Activision Blizzard as a growth driver.
Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X/S faces stiff competition. Analysts estimate total sales of only 30 million units worldwide, lagging far behind Sony’s PlayStation 5. Microsoft’s future in hardware, however, remains uncertain, with plans to continue producing next-generation consoles. Their multiformat publishing approach, hinting at cross-platform strategy for future releases, could shift the focus away from hardware altogether, offering players broader accessibility regardless of platform preference.
In conclusion, Black Ops 6 has delivered a win for Microsoft by breathing new life into its gaming revenue, yet it also spotlights the challenges the Xbox division faces. The contrast between the successes in game software and the slumps in hardware presents a mixed outlook, making Microsoft’s next steps crucial in maintaining momentum in both domains.
Tonight on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two Pete Wicks and Jowita Pryzstal spoke to host Janette Manrara.
However, it doesn’t sound like their training for Icons Week is going too well… In fact, Jowita seemed to hint that she was “worried” about their performance to a Queen medley.
Strictly news: The joke’s not on Pete
Host Janette Manrara opened the chat by speaking about their brilliant Halloween Week Viennese waltz, which saw Pete dressed as The Joker.
“I don’t know if it was the Viennese waltz or the Joker. That’s an insane thing to have come naturally to me. I like ballroom… I think… Not that I know what the difference is, but I think it’s ballroom I like,” he said.
Janette then asked Jowita: “What is it about ballroom that suits Pete so much?”
“I just feel like Pete is such a gentleman. He likes to put his arms in a frame and hold me, he always likes to be in contact with me. I feel like he’s such an old-school old-fashioned soul. He likes that connection where we do ballroom, whereas Latin is more free.
“And I think he likes to have control over me as well, that’s why he likes being in ballroom hold,” she added.
“I’m a control freak,” the TOWIE star then quipped.
Jowita hints at ‘worries’ for Pete
Talk then turned to their salsa this coming weekend (November 2).
Jowita told Janette: “I think the one thing Pete has very similar to Freddie Mercury is that performance mode. Every time on Saturday night I feel he is performing and dancing. So I’m not worried about his performance…,” she said, while thinking about how to phrase her next point.
“Don’t tell us what you’re worried about!” Janette chastised.
“I’m not worried about anything,” Jowita then said.
“Should he be worried about lifts?” she then asked the pro.
“I’ll answer that one,” Pete chipped in. “Yes. Yes he should.”
‘Mad stuff’
He then said: “We’re not doing the salsa, we’re doing Cirque du Salsa. I think she thinks it’s Cirque du Soleil. I don’t know who she thinks I am, Beth Tweddle, I’m not a gymnast. But there’s some mad stuff going on this week.”
Reminding Pete that Jowita is “known” for her “mad stuff”, he then quipped: “She is very known for that, I am not.”

It has felt like a long time since the last Dragon Age game. Ten years to be precise. In the last Dragon Age game, we needed to form an Inquisition. This time however, we’re forming a Veilguard. Find out who joins and why as Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will see you returning to the world of Thedas, some ten years after the events of Inquisition. Your mission this time involves dealing with two corrupted ancient gods who have decided to destroy Thedas. No big deal.
You will be able to recruit seven companions in your quest, with some new and some returning characters. How you do so and then how you treat them is entirely up to you. You may even be able to romance them, if you so desire. This is a BioWare game after all, so the choices are completely up to you.
Those choices extend as far as fully customising your character. What role will you play in The Veilguard? And more, importantly, what combat class are you aiming for? With a shift in the combat this time around, that choice could be all the more important.
“On behalf of everyone at BioWare, I want to thank you for joining us on our latest adventure,” said Gary McKay, Vice President/General Manager, BioWare; Executive Producer, Dragon Age: The Veilguard. “After years of careful planning, countless hours of expert work, and innumerable design decisions, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is ready. We are so proud of this achievement and excited to see its impact on our worldwide community of fans, without whom none of this would be possible. We hope you have just as much fun in your own Rook adventure as we did creating it.”
Picking the right companion
With companions varying from necromancers, detectives and assassins, most of the game will probably be spent picking the right one for you. These questions can only be answered as you delve into their backstories, take on unique missions for them or just have them along for the ride for a couple of hours.
Maybe you can reminisce about the earlier games, telling them about how you fought the Darkspawn in Dragon Age: Origins?
For a headstart on some of the companions you will be recruiting, take a look at the launch trailer below:
Picking the right version of the game
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is out today and is on the Xbox Store priced at £69.99 for the base game. There is also the Deluxe Edition priced at £89.99 that comes with the following in-game items:
6 Weapon Appearances for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
1 Warrior Armor Set Appearance for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
1 Mage Armor Set Appearance for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
1 Rogue Armor Set Appearance for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
7 Weapon & 7 Armor Set Appearances for Companions. Cosmetic Only.
Or, you could wait a little bit longer and our review will have all the details you need. That will be with you soon, once we’ve finished in the character creator and finally started the game.
You can play Dragon Age: The Veilguard on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 or PC.
Game description

Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero. Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight to stop the gods from blighting the world. But you can’t do this alone – the odds are stacked against you. Lead a team of seven companions, each with their own rich story to discover and shape, and together you will become The Veilguard. Scottish comedian Janey Godley is in the “final beats of her life” following a battle with cancer, according to her “immensely proud” daughter, Ashley Storrie.
Earlier today, Ashley shared two pictures of Janey – who is currently receiving end-of-life care in a hospice. Alongside the pictures, she revealed that her mum has been given a remarkable honour that has brought “so much joy” to her final days.
Janey Godley awarded doctorate
Back in September, Jane, 63, confirmed that her battle with terminal ovarian cancer had taken a turn, leading her to cancel a tour to undergo treatment. The comedian was first diagnosed with the disease in 2021.
Now, in a heartfelt Twitter post, BBC Radio Scotland presenter Ashley announced that the University of Glasgow has gifted her mother with an honorary degree.
“Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow,” she tweeted from Janey’s account.
“This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations doctor Godley.”
Ashley also included two snaps of her mother in bed holding up her doctorate.
Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow. This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured, and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations Doctor Godley.

Fans react
This thoughtful tribute sparked a flood of support from followers, friends and celebrities.
Journalist Owen Jones reflected on Janey’s impact: “She’s an incredible woman who has made us laugh and think, full of so much courage and moral clarity. She is so loved.”
Meanwhile, TV chef Nigella Lawson wrote: “This is heartbreakingly beautiful. All love to you.”
The University of Glasgow also echoed these sentiments, officially welcoming Janey as an honorary doctorate.
“It is an honour to bestow an honorary doctorate on the incredible Dr Godley. We send all our love and support from UofG to Janey and her family.” They gushed.
Janey Godley revealed cancer had spread back in September
Janey Godley’s journey has been nothing short of inspirational. From her early life in poverty in Glasgow to becoming a force in comedy and activism, her work has made her a household name.
Back in September, Lorraine Kelly sent her love to Janey after she revealed her cancer had spread. Speaking on her ITV show, Lorraine said: “Well she really is an inspiration, that’s comedian Janey Godley of course. She posted that video last night sharing the news that she is receiving end-of-life care after her cancer spread.
“We are sending her all of our love, she’s been absolutely remarkable, she’s been so brave all the way through this, still going on tour, still doing all of these amazing things. And we’re just sending her all our love and I know she wanted to thank all the people that are looking after her.”

Not Pixel is a tap-to-earn game on Telegram where you can collectively create a one-million-pixel digital art piece with other players. The game from the Notcoin team lets you paint or repaint pixels and earn PX points for your contributions and tasks.
As part of the Notcoin ecosystem, a world of Telegram-based crypto games, Not Pixel builds on the existing community to bring a new level of engagement and rewards to users.
For every pixel you paint, you earn PX points, which can be converted to tokens when the Token Generation Event (TGE) happens in November 2024. The game is getting a lot of attention for its unique painting mechanics and rewards through potential future token airdrops.
How does Not Pixel work?
Not Pixel is easy to play but requires strategy so it’s fun for both new and old players. To start, log in to Telegram, find the Not Pixel bot and choose a color to paint on the canvas. Every pixel you place is permanent, so your contribution counts in the bigger picture. But no one player can change the canvas drastically, so teamwork is essential.
Every pixel painted mines 0.1 PX per day, so you earn PX even when you’re not in the game. To maximize this, you need to claim your PX every 8 hours, or else the auto mining will stop.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to get started and earn more:
Open Telegram and Start with Not Pixel Bot: Interact with the bot, which is your main interface for the game.
Choose Your Color and Tap “Paint”: Choose a color in the interface, tap a pixel and paint to start earning PX.
Earn PX: Every pixel you paint earns you PX.
Complete In-Game Tasks: Besides painting, players can complete in-game tasks to earn more PX.
Join Squads: Join squads like the Crypto Squad and get 100% faster progress.
Claim Often: Remember to claim your points every 8 hours.
Players start with limited energy, which is needed to paint. Energy refills over time, but players can also boost it through certain strategies. By planning their energy usage and participating in regular activities, players can earn more PX and potentially more rewards when tokens are introduced.
Weekly Events, Squads, and Earn PX
Not Pixel has several features that encourage active participation and teamwork:
Weekly Events: Every week, new events will give players a chance to earn extra rewards by participating and collaborating with others on the canvas.
Squad Formation: Players can form squads and invite friends to increase their influence on the canvas. Squads get faster game progression with 100% more points earned. Larger groups like the Crypto Squad give players more control on the canvas and more PX.
Earn PX Tokens: PX points, the in-game currency, are earned every time you paint a pixel. The points will be used as placeholders for tokens in the airdrop so players can accumulate a lot before the token release.
Energy is needed for gameplay as it’s required to paint and earn PX. While energy refills over time, some players use strategies to speed up energy replenishment so they can keep painting and maximize their PX until TGE.
Boosters, Strategies and Maximizing PX Earnings
Not Pixel has many ways to earn more than just painting, here’s how to take advantage of everything in the game:
Boosters: You can buy boosters in-game to increase the PX mining rate. Use boosters strategically to earn more PX, especially if you play frequently.
Task Completion: Check the task section (look for the square icon) to earn extra PX by completing social media engagements, referrals or in-game tasks.
Additional Tips: Paint regularly, claim every 8 hours and refer friends using your personal link.
Not Pixel Airdrop and Notcoin Ecosystem
Players are excited not just about Not Pixel but also about the airdrop and the Notcoin ecosystem. Notcoin has a good track record of airdrops like the previous DOGS airdrop, which rewarded early users in a big way.
The Not Pixel token airdrop, which will happen during TGE, has similar rewards and has attracted a loyal player base to the game.
Being part of the Notcoin ecosystem ties Not Pixel to a larger cryptocurrency network, connects with TON (Telegram Open Network) and other Notcoin games. This will increase Not Pixel’s visibility and potentially increase the value of the tokens, so players who accumulate PX now will benefit.
Conclusion
Not Pixel brings a new collaborative experience to Telegram’s growing empire where you can earn PX points by contributing to a shared digital canvas. With the points convertible to tokens in the November TGE, it’s a game of creativity and rewards. However, long-term success is dependent on sustained engagement and the growth of the Notcoin ecosystem.
