It seems being around music superstar JB Gill is getting “hard” for Strictly professional Lauren Oakley.

The JLS member’s time in the dance competition hasn’t been plain sailing as he’s had to swap partners.

Initially partnered with Amy Dowden, JB had a partner change mid-way through the competition. He is now dancing with Lauren after Amy suffered a foot injury.

Amy was “devastated” when she had to step down from the show. This year marked her return after her cancer battle in 2023.

JB and Amy were a dream team in the competition, gaining a large amount of support from fans. But when she stepped down, professional Lauren was given the job of taking her place.

While many would think the hardest part about joining late in the game would be trying to learn your dance partner’s skillset so quickly, this wasn’t the case for Lauren.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) this week, Lauren shared the most difficult thing about working with JB.

She wrote: “It’s just SO HARD being in a room with JB and suppressing the constant need to break out in a JLS song.”

Fans loved hearing this, and took to the responses to share just how relatable they found her.

One wrote: “I can absolutely imagine that. But that room must be filled with joy, laughter and hard work.”

Another encouraged her to: “On behalf of all JLS fans, just do it!”

A third user gave a suggestion that many liked: “You should choose a JLS song to be one of your song choices at some point! They are all such bops!”

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise to JB himself, as JLS have such a huge following.

The band were formed on The X Factor in 2008 and have gone on to have countless hit songs.

JB isn’t the first member of the boyband to do the dance show, as Aston Merrygold competed in 2017.

It’s a big weekend for the celebs as JB and Lauren head to Blackpool for what has become one of Strictly’s most anticipated weeks.

Strictly airs Saturday (November 16) from 6.45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The results show airs Sunday nights at 7:20pm.

Alex Scott tipped for Match of the Day job as fans fume

Alex Scott tipped for Match of the Day job as fans fume

Alex Scott is one of the stars tipped to take Gary Lineker‘s place as the host of BBC’s popular football show Match of the Day. But fans have a lot to say about it.

Reports confirmed that Gary will be exiting the flagship football programme after 25 years. While his replacement is yet to be made official, Alex has become the centre of social media discussion for all the wrong reasons.

While very few strongly opinionated fans argue that Alex “isn’t a great presenter,” others seem to find issues with her being a woman. Sadly, they believe a female host can’t do justice to the show.

Alex Scott tipped for Match of the Day

For the unversed, Alex is a former professional football player-turned-broadcaster. She started to appear before the camera following her retirement from international football in 2017.

Born in London, the 40-year-old mostly played for Arsenal in the FA WSL. She represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Alex is a much sought-after TV presenter who started her career with BBC.  She became the Football Focus presenter in 2021. The pundit had regular appearances on Match of the Day, and The One Show while serving as presenting team member on The Women’s Football Show.

The sports presenter also contested in Strictly Come Dancing in 2019. She partnered with Neil Jones.

She is no stranger to football highlight programme. But the fact that Alex is in the running for Gary’s replacement has turned quite a few heads.

Alex Scott as Gary Lineker’s replacement gathers reactions

Several fans have echoed football manager Joey Barton’s emotions about Alex being among the candidates to replace Gary on Match of the Day as he has stepped down from his role.

According to the Metro, Joey had only a two-word response: “Fantastic news.” Previously, while attending Piers Morgan’s Uncensored show, he had openly expressed his disapproval of Alex as a presenter of the men’s game.

His remark about Alex came after he publicly stated that women “shouldn’t be talking with any kind of authority in the men’s game”.

Now, the news that Alex is a new bookies’ favourite to succeed Gary has prompted similar reactions from trolls on X.

      Fans want a ‘male presenter’

One X user who isn’t too thrilled to see Alex as Gary’s replacement wrote: “If they give the job to Alex Scott, and I presume they’ll still have a female presenter on the Women’s football show, it’ll be like a middle finger to men’s football.”

“Fans of Match of the Day do not want a woman as host! We do not want Alex Scott. Leave her on The One Show. We will not watch MOTD if [there’s] a female host,” said another.

Someone else tweeted: “Because it’s men’s football. It’s always been a man on MOTD. Better banter, can connect with the male ex players. Prefer a man presenter.”

Others opined that they don’t mind a female presenter on Match of the Day as long as it isn’t Alex.

One user wrote: “If they want to appoint a woman then it has to be Gabby Logan – Alex Scott is shocking.”

However, Alex’s fans have extended her support, nevertheless.

“Why shouldn’t Alex Scott or Gabby Logan be the one? It’s possible to appoint a woman without it being a box-ticking exercise,” read one comment.

Another added: “Feeling for Alex Scott at the moment. Some brutal trolling of a great TV presenter.”

Atomfall, the next game that’ll vaguely aim to satisfy our British Fallout thing cravings, just got one of the the most sadness island release date reveal trailers ever

Atomfall, the upcoming game from Sniper Elite developer Rebellion that a lot of folks are be looking to for another fix of British post-apocalypse with a radioactive tinge to it that isn’t quite an official Fallout take on our sad little island, now has a proper release date. It’s arriving on March 25, 2025, as fresh trailer with very English countryside vibes conveys.

While we techincally got British Fallout earlier this year thanks to massive mod Fallout: London, which we really liked when it wasn’t suffering too many bugs, ever since Atomfall was announced, it’s been getting those comparisons. Whether it warrants them is up to you to decide, and you’ve now got more material to go off of.

      Manage cookie settings

Closing with the aforementioned release date of March 25 next year, Atomfall’s latest trailer is set in an iconic British location – the woods. Casterfell Woods, in fact, Rebellion associate head of design Ben Fisher clarifies in an Xbox Wire post released alongside the trailer. Apparently it’s “a wild and inhospitable place, underpinned by an immediately eerie vibe”.

Yep, add in a liberal supply of discarded condoms and lager cans strewn about next to the wicker men Casterfell has, and that’s a pretty accurate description of a lot of the wooded areas around where I live. The fact the trailer basically shows some poor fella being subjected to a folk tune, and then being assaulted next to a dilapidated phone box by a stranger who walks off whistling also seems very realistic England too.

      Watch on YouTube

Anyway, the phone box is ringing, and Fisher says that’s important, writing: “The voice at the end of the phone line is one of Atomfall’s many mysteries that players will have to tackle if they are to get to the bottom of what happened at the Windscale nuclear plant all those years ago.”

In terms of influences, the developer adds that Atomfall’s drawing on classic sci-fi like Doctor Who, The Quatermass Experiment and The Day of the Triffids for the creepy woodland bits of its survival-action, er, action.

You’ll be able to give it a go on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4 when it releases, as well as Xbox Game Pass on day one. Let us know how grotty your local woods is below, and whether you’re planning to play Atomfall.

Alongside the Clash for Cash tournament, Off the Grid introduced new crossplay pools in its latest patch.

Console players on Xbox and PS5 now compete in a separate pool from PC players on Mac and Windows. This change was made to address balance issues, as console players had reported challenges in competing against the faster controls of PC users.

Whilst console and PC players no longer compete directly in matches, they continue to share the game’s marketplace and other in-game features.

For more information, interested players are encouraged to visit Off the Grid official website.

Furahaa Taps Growing Vegan Market with New INX Token Listing

Furahaa Group, a well-known brand in plant-based fast food and vegan products, is entering the digital finance space by listing its FURA tokens on the INX platform. INX is a regulated marketplace for trading digital securities and tokenized real-world assets, giving investors a safe space to buy into Furahaa’s equity and allowing global investors to support mission-driven businesses. The tokens will be listed on November 20, 2024.

        Fractional Ownership with Blockchain Security

The FURA token allows investors to own a part of Furahaa Group through fractional ownership, with each token representing a share of the company’s equity. The tokens are based on the ERC-1404 standard on the Ethereum blockchain, known for its security and compliance features to ensure safe and transparent transactions.

Arthur Devillers, Furahaa Group founder, said: “Our partnership with INX opens up equity in Furahaa Group beyond traditional markets. Furahaa tokens are now accessible to a wider audience, and we are committed to sustainable growth and financial inclusion.”

        Into the Vegan Market

Since 2015, Furahaa Group, inspired by the Swahili word for joy, has grown rapidly; Furahaa Express has expanded across Europe and the U.S. Each store generates around €1.2 million per year, and plant-based food is in high demand. Moreover, the vegan market is expected to reach $40.3 billion by 2030.

INX is opening up a new kind of investing for companies like Furahaa to grow outside the traditional stock market. Listing FURA tokens is INX’s mission to make finance for everyone, using blockchain to give more transparency, ease and access to investors.

Shy Datika, INX CEO, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Furahaa tokens to our platform. This partnership aligns with our mission to expand the range of real-world assets on-chain, offering investors a unique and regulated alternative to traditional stock markets. Together, we’re enabling access to impactful investments that reflect both financial and environmental goals.”

        Traditional Finance meets Blockchain

INX is bridging traditional finance and blockchain, a regulated platform for trading digital securities like FURA. By combining the safety of traditional markets with the transparency of blockchain, INX aims to make tokenized assets more accessible to investors.

Overall, Furahaa Group is now one step closer to its mission of inclusivity and sustainability. Investors can now support a growing and socially responsible business and get the benefits of digital securities.

Prince William voted Sexiest Bald Man after fans gush over new beard

Prince William voted Sexiest Bald Man after fans gush over new beard

For the second year in a row Prince William has been named ‘world’s sexiest bald man’ – and fans think it’s because of his beard.

A new study has determined that the 42-year-old royal gets first place on the sexiest bald man list. The study focuses on both internet searches and certain physical aspects.

Marketing agency Reboot completed the research by scouring the net to work out just how many people were looking for risqué pictures of bald celebs.

The researchers announced: “Bald men have stolen hearts of millions of people around the world. From Stanley Tucci to Zinedine Zidane to John Travolta.”

Is it because of the new beard?! (Credit: Cover Images)

Prince William named ‘world’s sexiest bald man’ after new beard

While there may have been a lot of contenders, they confirmed: “We have crunched the numbers to officially crown the Sexiest Bald Man for 2024.”

This year there were a number of A-list celebs in the running, including Hollywood actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. But it seems William is even sexier than him as The Rock got second place.

Investigators for the study provided some reasons this may be the case. They said: “The heir to the throne was considered a heartthrob in his younger years, but if our study is anything to go by, he still has sex appeal today.”

It seems in the research phase, Reboot found there was 16,800 annual searches for Prince William followed by ‘shirtless’ or ‘naked’.

But it wasn’t just Google searches that contributed to the investigation. The study looked at factors including height, net worth and adherence to the ‘golden ratio’.

The golden ratio is a mathematical calculation linked to ideal proportions found in renowned artworks.

          Sexiest bald man 2024 reaction

While the results may come as a surprise to some, many fans think the real reason is because of his beard. Others thought it’s because of the Prince’s royal status and wealth. Fans took to social media to share their opinions.

One wrote: “I was confused about this but then I remembered William grew his beard out and I accepted it.”

Another added: “Prince William is the sexiest bald man of the year! (And indeed, of the century). We knew this!”

Someone else mocked: “Tell me, what do you see in the billionaire Prince William?”

Another said: “How silly! He wouldn’t have been voted sexiest bald man if he wasn’t a member of a certain family.”

Others believed the study was wrong. A user on X (formerly Twitter) simply wrote: “I beg to differ.”

Meanwhile, a second wrote: “In a world with Zinedine Zidane, Vin Diesel, and The Rock, Prince William was named sexiest bald man alive? Lol.”

Whether fans agree or not, the research has proven to be true. This isn’t the first time William has appeared on the list.

He secured the top spot in 2021, but slipped to second place in 2022, before reclaiming his title in 2023. Now once again, he takes the crown.

ICP identity protocol DecideID to launch on Solana eliminating any KYC need for DeFi

          0
ICP identity protocol DecideID to launch on Solana eliminating any KYC need for DeFi

DecideAI has announced the integration of its biometric identity verification solution, DecideID, into the Solana blockchain, aiming to enhance security and trust within the ecosystem. This move introduces Proof-of-Personhood (PoP) capabilities to Solana, ensuring that users are verified as unique individuals without the need for traditional Know-Your-Customer procedures.

Raheel Govindji, founder and CEO of DecideAI, commented,

“DecideID is positioned to set a new standard in identity verification across the blockchain space. The Solana integration is just the beginning, and we anticipate a significant surge in user growth and adoption”

The integration is expected to address longstanding vulnerabilities in Solana’s airdrop ecosystem, which has previously been susceptible to Sybil attacks and botting. By verifying real users through AI-driven facial recognition and liveness detection technologies, DecideID aims to prevent fraudulent activities and ensure fair token distributions.

Solana developers will now have the opportunity to leverage DecideID’s identity verification tools to enhance the integrity of decentralized applications. This is particularly significant for DeFi projects, where ensuring that transactions are conducted by real and unique individuals adds a crucial layer of trust. The technology analyzes facial movement, depth, and micro-expressions to confirm user authenticity, utilizing Zero-Knowledge proofs to protect personal data during the verification process.

According to DecideAI, the integration will,

“Add a layer of trust in lending, staking, and yield farming by ensuring that only real and unique humans are behind transactions.

Additionally, DecideID’s AI facial recognition technology doesn’t require any Know-Your-Customer procedures or documentation, making it an easy and quick scan for users.”

The integration is currently in the testing phase and is expected to be fully launched before the end of the year. Upon release, Solana users will be able to link their wallets, participate in airdrops, and verify their personhood without extensive documentation. DecideAI is also in discussions with several Solana-based DeFi and NFT platforms that plan to adopt DecideID for enhanced security and fair governance participation.

This development is facilitated by the Internet Computer’s Chain Fusion technology, which allows for seamless protocol-level integration with other blockchains. The Internet Computer (ICP) acts as a powerful general-purpose blockchain and Web3 platform, enabling DecideID to extend its services beyond Solana with potential future integrations into networks like Ethereum.

DecideID reportedly has already verified over 14,000 unique users and aims to foster trust and accountability in decentralized applications. By preventing malicious activities and ensuring secure interactions, it contributes to a more transparent and fair blockchain environment.

Per the recent announcement, DecideAI’s mission extends beyond identity verification. It aims to reshape the landscape of large language models by prioritizing quality, collaboration, and ownership. Through its ecosystem comprising Decide Protocol, DecideID, and Decide Cortex, the company seeks to democratize access to AI resources while rewarding contributors and setting new standards for open-source collaboration.

Proof of personhood protocols on the rise

This integration places DecideID among notable Proof-of-Personhood initiatives such as World, Proof of Humanity, Idena, CorePass, and Anima Protocol.

World (formerly Worldcoin,) founded by Sam Altman, uses iris scans to generate unique identifiers for individuals, though it has faced privacy concerns over biometric data collection.

Proof of Humanity combines video verification with community endorsement to establish unique identities on the Ethereum blockchain. It aims to facilitate fair distribution in Universal Basic Income projects.

Idena employs AI-resistant tasks called “flips” to ensure each node in its network represents a unique human, enhancing decentralization and resistance to Sybil attacks.

CorePass, on the Core Blockchain network, allows users to verify and tokenize credentials such as passports, driving licenses, emails, and names. Data can then be sold to dApps, allowing users to realize the value of their data instead of giving it away for free.

Anima Protocol provides decentralized identity services on the BNB Chain, focusing on privacy while verifying user authenticity.

These projects, like DecideID, showcase how blockchain can address challenges such as fraudulent activities and fair resource distribution in digital ecosystems, but each takes a different approach to balance security, privacy, and user experience.

Rumored OpenSea Airdrop Drives Trading in Gemesis NFTs

Rumored OpenSea Airdrop Drives Trading in Gemesis NFTs

Unconfirmed reports of a potential airdrop by NFT marketplace OpenSea have recently sparked heightened trading interest in the Gemesis NFT collection.

Although OpenSea previously denied any connection between Gemesis and future airdrop plans, recent developments have renewed speculation around its potential value.

With OpenSea preparing to launch its V2 platform in December—complete with new loyalty rewards and competitive ranking features—some in the community are positioning themselves with Gemesis NFTs, anticipating they may hold future value in OpenSea’s rewards ecosystem.

Spike in Gemesis NFT Activity Amid Speculation

In the past 24 hours, several large NFT holders have made significant acquisitions of Gemesis NFTs, with some wallets purchasing over 50 items in a single sweep.

This uptick in demand has led to a 60% increase in Gemesis’ floor price, positioning it among the top 100 NFT collections by market cap.

Originally introduced by OpenSea as a commemorative item, Gemesis has taken on new significance as collectors speculate it could play a role in a possible airdrop or rewards structure, despite no official confirmation from OpenSea.

          Potential Airdrop and Reward Multipliers

Although OpenSea has previously stated that Gemesis NFTs are not connected to any future airdrop, many community members see potential value in holding them if OpenSea introduces a tiered reward system. Some have suggested that any rewards program could factor in specific NFT ownership or trading activity as multipliers, potentially increasing eligibility for rewards.

Some theorize that Gemesis holdings could enhance leaderboard rankings or act as a multiplier in an experience points (XP) system, positioning holders to benefit from OpenSea’s loyalty incentives. Whilst still unconfirmed, these ideas are driving increased Gemesis trading activity as collectors look to secure a position in case these theories prove correct.

Adding to this speculation is OpenSea’s upcoming V2 platform which hinted at having retroactive rewards feature aimed at recognizing previous user engagement on the platform. Although details are limited, this feature has led some Gemesis holders to speculate that their NFTs could factor into these retroactive rewards.

Ara: History Untold offers a fresh take on 4X historical grand strategy games. Players will prove their worth by guiding their citizens through history to the pinnacles of human achievement. Explore new lands, develop arts and culture, and engage in diplomacy — or combat — with other nations, before ultimately claiming the mantle of the greatest nation of all time.

Members can craft their own unique story of triumph and achievement by streaming the game across devices from the cloud. GeForce NOW Performance and Ultimate members can enjoy longer gaming sessions and faster access to servers than free users, perfect for crafting sprawling empires and engaging in complex diplomacy without worrying about local hardware limitations.
