You see, Sony has updated its records, and somehow the PS2 has shifted a few more million units.
The last time Sony officially updated us on how many PS2 consoles had been sold was way back in 2011 when the company said 150 million had been shipped. A year later that number was updated to 155 million. A year after that, the PS2 was officially discontinued and since that day Sony has never updated its sales, even though we all knew it must have sold at least a few more units.
It turns out, it did. 5 million of them to be exact. According to the newly updated history of PlayStation on Sony’s official website, somewhere in the last 11 years the PlayStation 2 managed to ship another 5 million consoles, bringing its total to 160 million.
That means the Nintendo Switch now has to achieve another 14 million sales to take the crown. Honestly, that seems quite likely though, as even with the announcement of the Switch 2 coming in 2025 the Switch is still selling very well indeed.
As for the 160 million number, it isn’t the first time we’ve heard it. Former PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan revealed in the official PlayStation that the PS2 had sold 160 million. However, since it was a passing comment and because Sony did not update its records, people were not sure whether to believe Ryan’s claims.
Now we just need to wait and see if that number will increase as the Switch inches closer. Perhaps next year Sony will reveal it flogged another few million down local pub. Or if they want to be extra devious they could always produce a PS2 mini pre-loaded with classic games, and use its sales to help the PS2 keep its place at the top of the mountain.

The celebrity above ground would need to find the secret code words hidden in their tunnel, reading them out to the celebrity below ground who would be underwater and would need to use the code words to unlock the stars.
Maura took the above ground tunnel, and Jane the below water based tunnel. They had 12 minutes to collect 12 stars.
Maura was terrified as she encountered toads, lizards and her worst nightmare: spiders. Jane, meanwhile, was swimming through the water tunnels, but found the water part of it difficult. She claimed her goggles were steamed up and she couldn’t read the words.
They managed to win six out of the 12 stars for camp. Ant and Dec praised them and said: “That was a very, very tough trial, so I think you did remarkably the pair of you, you should both be very proud.”
Maura felt that although she had conquered her fears, she was worried she had let the camp down.

Lots of laughs! Celebrity impressionist and comedian Matt Friend teamed up with Bilt Rewards to launch the Neighborhood Benefits program, a comedy series that gathers local communities in beloved venues, starting Dec. 10.
Friend, 26, who is known for his repertoire of over 250 celebrity impressions including Rami Malek and Timothée Chalamet, with fans like Liev Schreiber and Sebastian Maniscalco, will act as the program’s Director of Neighborhood Experience, Comedy.

“As someone who grew up doing impressions of my neighbors before I could do celebrities, I know the best comedy comes from the community,” he said in a press release.
“I’m so excited to help discover tomorrow’s comedy stars and put them in the spotlight with today’s legends, right in our own backyards. Think of it as comedy’s version of farm-to-table, except the only thing we’re cooking up is laughs,” he continued.
The shows, which are set to take place at intimate venues in New York City, Washington, D.C., Boston, Massachusetts, Chicago, Illinois, and Los Angeles, California, will feature local up-and-coming stand-up performers, established legends, curated light bites, and complimentary drinks exclusively for Bilt Members.

Bilt Members can purchase up to two tickets per show in the Bilt app and gain access to additional Rent Day benefits beginning on Nov. 27 at 12:00 pm EST.
This summer, Alec Baldwin’s manslaughter trial ended with a dismissal. It turns out that the court did not appreciate the prosecution’s alleged Brady violation.
Some viewed this as a technicality. Others saw it as an overdue end to a baffling prosecution.
Now, Piers Morgan, who openly sympathizes with the likes of Kevin Spacey, believes that the Rust shooting disqualifies Baldwin from any commentary on just about anything.

What is Piers Morgan saying about Alec Baldwin?
After whining in a lengthy op-ed that he, the fierce opponent of “cancel culture,” wants The View canceled for not loving disgraced former (and future) president Donald Trump, Piers Morgan is going after Alec Baldwin.
On Tuesday, November 26, the TV personality took to Twitter to put the actor on blast.
“Says the guy who shot a woman dead but insists it had nothing to do with him,” Morgan accused, “and the gun fired all by itself…”

The tweet in question was a quote-tweet of The New York Post, which was in turn running a Fox News article, which was in turn citing Baldwin’s words from The Hollywood Reporter.
Baldwin had received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Torino Film Festival in northern Italy. At that time, he lamented the bold-faced ignorance of too many Americans — and the complicity that the media has in ill-informed voting.
“Television news in the United States is a business. They have to make money,” Baldwin acknowledged during the press conference.

Low-information voters steer the course of history for the worse
“There’s a hole. There’s a vacuum,” Alec Baldwin described.
The actor continued: “There is a gap, if you will, in information for Americans.” That much is evident, especially when one considers how many Trump voters googled tariffs for the first time on November 6.
Baldwin grimly acknowledged: “Americans are very uninformed about reality — what’s really going on.”

“With climate change, Ukraine, Israel …” he listed. These are certainly topics where absurd disinformation has too often prevailed over just the bare minimum of understanding current events.
“You name it, all the biggest topics in the world,” Baldwin lamented, “Americans have an appetite for a little bit of information.”
Though Baldwin went on to discuss other problems that Americans will face during the dismal years ahead, Morgan didn’t get specific. He just seemed to be raging because Baldwin discussed … anything.

Why is Piers Morgan lashing out at Alec Baldwin?
For a prop gun to go off and fatally injure someone, an entire cascade of things have to go wrong. Short of a dramatic and improbable murder plot, it’s not really any one person’s fault. Normally, people would see the person holding the prop as part of the tragedy — not the cause.
In this case, Piers Morgan seems to be targeting Alec Baldwin because of their respective politics. Morgan has a reputation for saying strange, even cruel things and for holding odd vendettas. But this seems clearer cut.
Neither of these famous men have reputations for being pleasant people. But Baldwin’s accurate description of widespread political ignorance does not merit Morgan’s cruel jabs.
