Web3 fantasy shooter Kokodi Arena has officially launched Season 1 on the HyperPlay platform and is now open to NFT holders.
Kokodi Arena combines elements of battle royale and extraction shooter genres, offering a mix of strategy, teamwork, and high-stakes combat.
This new season brings the Play-to-Airdrop feature, where players can earn rewards such as $KOKO tokens, NFTs, and other in-game items by accumulating Play Points (PP) through gameplay.

In Season 1, Kokodi Arena introduces Play Points as the in-game currency for earning rewards.
Players can earn Play Points through Quick Match, the game’s primary mode for competitive play. Points are awarded for kills, captures, and victories, with each kill or capture earning 100 PP. Winning a match doubles the points earned during that session.
At the end of the season, players’ accumulated Play Points can be converted into $KOKO tokens. These tokens, set to fully launch in early 2025, will power the game’s economy and provide discounts on in-game purchases. Additional prizes for high-ranking players include rare NFT skins and invite codes, though specific details about these codes have yet to be disclosed.

How to participate in Season 1?
Participation in Kokodi Arena Season 1 requires ownership of specific NFTs: KOKODI, Mask, or Lootbox. These NFTs are available for purchase on platforms such as OpenSea and Sphere. Lootboxes, the most affordable option, are currently listed at around $7.50.
To join, players must download Kokodi Arena through the HyperPlay launcher. The Quick Match gameplay, which awards Play Points, is available daily between 18:00 and 20:00 UTC. Whilst the season’s end date has not been announced, this structured play window ensures a consistent and active player base during Season 1.
Kokodi Arena is currently an NFT-gated game but is expected to become free-to-play in the future, with plans to release on the Epic Games Store.

In Friday’s EastEnders instalment (December 20), Cindy was almost exposed for giving Lauren Branning pills, amid her painkiller addiction storyline.
Following a dramatic house fire, Lauren was rushed to hospital – and came clean about everything, including Cindy being her supplier. As expected, Cindy denied everything to Peter and Ian and claimed that Lauren is lying.
Desperate, Lauren then suggested that they ask Kojo about what really happened.

Fans will recall how Kojo caught Cindy and Junior kissing last month – only to end up falling from a stairwell in the Square.
Lauren saw the kerfuffle – and was forced to keep quiet by Cindy. If Lauren said anything, Cindy would expose her addiction to painkillers.
Meanwhile, Kojo was rushed to the hospital, and in typical Cindy fashion, she blackmailed him too. Threatening him that he would be sent back to live with his brother in Ghana.

Fast forward to this week, and back at the Vic, the Knights and Beales asked Kojo for the truth. Sadly, he took Cindy’s side and said he was alone on the night of his accident.
Later on though, Elaine was left open-mouthed after hearing a tape being played in the living room. The same tape that secretly recorded Cindy’s confession about her affair and true feelings towards George in October.
EastEnders Cindy to be exposed at Christmas?
What’s more, the trailer for this year’s Christmas special was released recently. And it shows the affair between Cindy and Junior is set to be exposed.
Set in The Queen Vic, the trailer shows the Beales and the Knights settling down for a festive meal together. However, matters are complicated by the presence of a certain USB containing audio evidence of Cindy and Junior’s affair.
And, as said USB comes into daughter Anna’s hands, Cindy is desperate to get it back. The trailer then appears to show the recording being played to a packed audience in The Vic, as a shocked and appalled Ian and George look on.
Could it be Elaine who exposes Cindy and Junior? Or is another resident out to get revenge?

Cyberpunk-themed game ecosystem Pixelverse is launching a tactical deck-building game ‘MemeBattle’ to incorporate popular cryptocurrency memes as playable characters.
The game will debut in January, featuring a roster of meme mascots from multiple blockchain projects. In the game, players will compete in strategic battles by assembling squads of characters inspired by well-known internet and crypto culture.
The game will launch on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 platform, chosen for its scalability, low transaction costs and built-in wallet integration to create a more accessible experience for players.

What is MemeBattle?
MemeBattle revolves around creating squads of characters inspired by cryptocurrency memes and battling opponents to earn rewards.

A Growing Blockchain Portfolio

Ragnarok Landverse, a blockchain-enhanced massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in the classic Ragnarok Online franchise, will launch on Ethereum sidechain gaming network Ronin in early 2025.
The Ronin version, dubbed Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis, is set to deploy to Ronin after previously soft-launching on BNB Chain. Developer Maxion, in partnership with Ragnarok publisher Gravity, said that the game has already amassed some $15 million worth of NFT sales ahead of the Ronin expansion, with over 400,000 players to date.
Ragnarok Landverse is a free-to-play PC and Android game that features similar gameplay to the original Ragnarok Online, an influential and popular MMORPG launched in 2002. However, this version incorporates blockchain elements such as mineable resources and token rewards.

The Genesis version launching on Ronin is considered a “fresh start” for the game, which means that assets from other Landverse servers won’t be transferable initially. However, these servers are planned to migrate to Ronin at a later date.
Zentry, Maxion’s parent company, will also maintain a validator node on the Ronin network as part of this expansion. The company describes itself as building a “metagame ecosystem” of interconnected Web3 games. Zentry rebranded from its previous name of GuildFi back in April.
Landverse will be the second Ragnarok game to launch on Ronin, following the debut of Ragnarok: Monster World. That mobile game took inspiration from Supercell’s popular Clash Royale, with two players commanding teams of creatures and dropping them into battle to try and be the first to topple the opponent’s base.
Ronin is a prominent gaming network in the Ethereum ecosystem. It’s the home to major crypto games like Pixels and Axie Infinity, the latter game developed by Sky Mavis, the studio that created the network. Since launching with Axie Infinity, the network has gradually expanded to include even more games from external developers.
Pre-registration is now open for Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis, with players able to connect their Ronin digital wallets for potential rewards ahead of the launch.
Another blockchain game in the Ragnarok universe was announced in November by DeLabs Games, with plans to launch it via the Telegram messaging app in Q1 2025.

The DC movie universe will return to their roots by bringing the Man of Steel back to the big screen in Superman.
The movie — originally titled Superman: Legacy — was announced in January 2023, just one month after Henry Cavill shared that he would no longer be portraying the beloved superhero.
“I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone,” he wrote via Instagram in December 2022. “I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.”
Cavill made his first appearance as Superman in 2013’s Man of Steel and went on to appear in 2016’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2017’s Justice League (and the Zack Snyder cut released in 2021) before making a final cameo as Clark Kent in 2022’s Black Adam.

Director and writer Gunn announced in January 2023 that the new movie is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.

“It focuses on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing,” Safran explained to the outlet at the time. “He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way. He is kindness in a world that thinks that kindness is old-fashioned.”
Although Corenswet is younger than Cavill, Gunn clarified that he isn’t looking to make a “young Superman” film. “I was never making a ‘young Superman’ movie, just a Superman movie!” he wrote via Threads in August 2023.
What Is the ‘Superman’ Script Like?
Brosnahan attended the 2024 SAG Awards in February, giving Variety the first teaser of the Superman script.
“It was pretty amazing,” Brosnahan, who was nominated at the ceremony for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, said of the first table read. “Some of us met for the first time. Some of us got to see each other again. It was amazing to hear the script out loud.”
She added: “As with all of these films, there’s a lot of action sequences and things. So to hear the pacing of the film and to get to hear these characters occupied by the actors who play them is really fun. It’s also a great group. You can’t ask for more than that when doing something like this.”

Originally, the film was set to be called Superman: Legacy. However, when Gunn announced in February 2024 that production on the film had officially started, he had a major update about the movie’s title.
“Overjoyed to be announcing the start of principal photography on SUPERMAN today, February 29, which just so happens to be — coincidentally and unplanned — Superman’s birthday,” he announced via Instagram at the time. “When I finished the first draft of the script, I called the film Superman: Legacy. By the time I locked the final draft, it was clear the title was SUPERMAN. Making our way to you July 2025.”

Has a Trailer for ‘Superman’ Been Released?

DC fans rejoiced after seeing the first official Superman teaser in December 2024. The trailer, set to an electric guitar version of John Williams’ famous Superman “Main Theme,” the preview gave glimpses of the titular hero in several jaw-dropping fight scenes and in his life working with Lois at The Daily Planet.
In addition to seeing several characters in costume, fans also got a full look at Superman’s adorable pup, Krypto. “Take me home,” he instructs the super-powered pet in the teaser, holding out his cape for Krypto to grab onto.
Though the trailer didn’t offer many plot details, it appears the people of Metropolis aren’t the biggest fans of the caped hero. In one shot, a man throws a can at Superman’s head as he walks into a Stagg Industries building, where he is subsequently joined by Guy Gardner (a.k.a. Green Lantern), Hawkgirl and Mister Terrific.

The problem is that a game released yesterday, 12/19/24, on the US Nintendo Switch eShop. A game called Sugoi Girls: Enchanting Elf.

I don’t know what Nintendo’s new content guidelines are, but I’m damn sure Sugoi Girls: Enchanting Elf does not meet that criteria. But Nintendo does not care, for some reason. Pakotime releases one game with nudity a week, and doesn’t get a peep out of Nintendo, but god forbid Neptunia girls wear bathing suits.
Not good in Nintendo’s eyes.
I don’t know what else to say. Nintendo of America and really Nintendo in general are being hypocrites here. And its not just Neptunia. It’s Tokyo Clanpool by EastAsiaSoft too, among others. Nintendo has said nothing and won’t say anything, they never do. But the fact that Pakotime can run wild on Switch, while publishers like EastAsiaSoft have to censor risque titles, is appalling. If Nintendo of America were to end Pakotime’s reign of crap on the eShop, that’d be one thing. But I highly suspect they will be releasing a game a week for the far foreseeable future What a shame!

For those in need of a refresher, Clarkson and Blackstock were married for seven years before parting ways in 2020.
When their divorce was finalized in 2022, the singer was granted primary custody of their two children.
Things got pretty ugly at various points, though, because Blackstock also served as his then-wife’s manager under his dad Narvel Blackstock’s company, Starstruck Management Group.
Shortly after the talk show host filed for divorce, Starstruck sued Clarkson for alleged unpaid commissions and an apparent breach of her agreement.
The singer countersued, eventually winning a $2.6 million legal ruling against her ex in 2023 after a California labor commissioner ruled that he had overstepped his managerial role when securing four of her business deals.
In short, according to Clarkson, her former husband stole from her.
Earlier this year, Clarkson filed a new case… accusing Blackstock and his father’s firm of violating state labor rules. In May, the exes quietly settled this lawsuit.

Clarkson has gone after Blackstock in similarly passive aggressive ways before.
During a performance on her self-titled talk show in March 2023, for example, Clarkson altered the lyrics of Gayle’s “ABCDEFU” to seemingly reference Brandon and his dad.

And especially at times of year when they might be most acutely aware of their loss, such as Christmas.
Dame Mary’s son William died in 1989 in a car accident. He was just 19 years old at the time.
She says she learned from her experiences “how important it is to communicate or to talk with people who have lost one of their family members or a friend”.
Mary adds: “And not to walk down the street and cross to the other side of the road, but to go and just say something and try and remember something, a situation that you remember – how skillful they were, and what they won here – to get them to talk.”
Relax about whether or not you’re able to attend the relevant funeral, she says. What’s more important is the care you show in the weeks afterwards.

What happened to Mary Berry’s son William?
During an episode of Gyles Brandreth’s podcast Rosebud, Mary explained the circumstances surrounding her son William’s death.
“He asked if he could borrow a sports car,” she said. “Which he was insured for. And I said ‘You ask your dad.’
“And he just drove too fast, which was so unlike him.”
“William was the one that you could rely on,” Mary explained. “When the phone rang after he was killed, everybody said ‘I’m so sorry to hear about Thomas,’ because Thomas was our wild one.”
Mary and her husband Paul Hunnings married in 1966 and have three children together: Thomas, William and Annabel.
Mary added: “I knew when the policemen came through door. I remember saying to him, ‘It must be an awful thing for you to tell us all.’”
She said she was “immensely lucky” to have her husband.
“I have other friends who’ve had tragedies and the husband and wife argue,” she went on. “Or don’t comfort each other.
“We just felt fortunate to still have Thomas and Annabel. People were very, very kind.”
And her fans came out in with words of encouragement, condolence and support.
“We had 400 letters,” she said. “I replied to them over the months.”
Mary is 89 now. She has published more than 75 cookery books. Her mum died at the age of 105, in 2011.

“This season will be full of rich, jewel-tones like emerald, ruby, and sapphire paired with metallic gold and bronze. … Combining traditional holiday greens with unexpected pops of blush or deep burgundy will also be on-trend, and expect to see some wicked combinations of pink, burgundy and green,” she spilled.

“Creating a welcoming atmosphere is all about simple touches like mood-setting music, cozy lighting, and an easy going approach. For food, opt for a mix of crowd-pleasers and festive treats, and consider a signature cocktail to tie into your theme. To make the evening memorable, encourage fun interactions with themed dress codes, simple games, or a photo corner,” she recommended.
As for gifts, Carter believes meaningful presents are the way to go.
“This year, I’m drawn to gifts that bring comfort and inspiration, like cozy blankets, artisanal candles, or blank journals for jotting down that next great idea. Supporting small businesses is also important to me, so I’m seeking out handcrafted items and unique finds from local makers,” she said.
