Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 All But Officially Confirmed By Ratings Board

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 All But Officially Confirmed By Ratings Board

It looks like the upcoming Tony Hawk game being teased by Activision, and accidentally revealed by a professional skateboarder, will indeed be a remaster of the third and fourth games just like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was.

The rating in question comes from Singapore which lists the game as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. It also says the game will launch on “Nintendo Switch, PC, Sony Playstation 4, Sony Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.”

There’s currently a countdown to 03/04/2025 on the official Tony Hawk Pro Skater site. It appeared after a Tony Hawk announcement was teased in a Call of Duty map named Grind.

Before that, pro skater Tyshawn mentioned appearing in an upcoming Tony Hawk game.

Insider eXtas1s believes the game will get shadow-dropped at Xbox’s Summer event this year.

Personally, I’m super-hyped for this one. The Pro Skater games were a massive part of my chldhood, and the 1+2 remaster was damn near flawless in its execution. Hopefully, Microsoft got the same folk at the formerly-named Vicarious Visions back onboard to develop it.

Adam Thomas declares “just take my pain away” amid “constant battle and setbacks” of debilitating health condition

Adam Thomas declares “just take my pain away” amid “constant battle and setbacks” of debilitating health condition

Adam Thomas, who plays Dante Charles in Waterloo Road, has opened up about his ongoing battle with arthritis.

The actor was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2023. He’s since said that he has psoriatic arthritis. The NHS describes it as a “long-term condition that causes joint pain, swelling and stiffness”.

Last night, in a new Instagram Story, Adam told his fans he was really having a tough time, declaring: “Just take my pain away please!”

    Adam Thomas’ heartbreaking health update

Writing online, Adam said: “This disease really does [bleep] with your head, especially when your trying to shift some weight and get into a routine of exercise! Constant battle, constant setbacks! Just take my pain away please!”

    I’ve suffered enough now!

He then added, alongside a picture of himself underneath some kind of lamp: “I’ve suffered enough now! Am really trying to hold myself together but it’s not easy!”

Adam then added a note: “Just one of those days – keep fighting people on the days where we can’t train – we have to take care of ourselves, self care and recovery.”

    ‘It’s been tough’

On Good Morning Britain earlier this month, Adam spoke to host Susanna Reid about the condition.

He said: “I’ve been struggling with this autoimmune disease now for about two and a half years. It’s been tough. I’m not over-exaggerating when I say this but literally within two and a half years, every day I’ve been in pain.”

In October 2024, Adam revealed that he could “barely walk” due to his arthritis.

“The pain is pretty unbearable at the moment, it’s as if my whole body is seizing up!! The pain was bad before, but it’s a lot worse now,” he said, revealing his medication had been changed.

“I’ve just started my new medication today which takes 12 weeks to take effect and even then it might not work so am not too sure what I can do to ease the pain until then? I’ve had my steroid injections and it literally lasted a week. I can’t carry on like this!”

He continued: “I couldn’t even get dressed this morning on my own, couldn’t drive to work. I mean, I can barely walk and my wrists and fingers feel like they’re broken – that’s no exaggeration! I wouldn’t have got out of bed today if it wasn’t for work. It got better throughout the day with a [bleep]load of painkillers!

“But wow… these last few days have been scary, had a little cry to myself today it can just really get on top of you!”

    ‘Not a sob story’

Adam also said: “Am not saying this for a sob story or for sympathy just trying to bring awareness to this disease and what so many others are going through – the good, the bad [and] the ugly.

“I’m lucky I have a great support system and not many do so to anyone who is going through the same thing and is alone; I see you, I feel you!! It’s going to get better. Don’t give up. If you know anyone who’s suffering just give them a call and check in.”

Waterloo Road is on BBC One Tuesdays at 9pm.

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog Switch Review

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog Switch Review

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog is a visual novel with adventure game elements. There is a side menu where you can move, look, use, talk and use and item. However, there are no puzzle in the traditional sense. Everything you do is laid out and telegraphed. There is a handy tasks screen that tells you what to do if you’re lost. Like I said, this is a visual novel, and it is quite a good one at that, that tells a good sci-fi story.

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog stars you, who can be he, she or they, and you chose your whole name. You are a security officer on the star ship Gun-Dog who has to meet up with another star ship and investigate mysterious signals. Your star ship is full of anime tropes, but its ok, they’re well written and mostly three-dimensional. This includes your love interest, who spends most of the time out of commission. There are twists and turns and branching paths, though the main story isn’t affected much by those paths. For example, early on, you can shoot a person with a stun-gun, and that will affect your relationship with them.

The biggest problem with Stories from Sol is the text is confined to the bottom of the screen and cannot be changed, causing me eye-strain at times. Also, again, the characters fall into well-worn tropes, but that’s really a nitpick. On the plus-side, there are three different visual options, like this one:

It is neat that Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog has them, but they don’t change the actual game at all. Despite that, all of the graphics are well done with some neat visual touches thrown in. Overall, I enjoyed this greatly and give it a Recommended with an eight back-end score. If you’re looking for a sold sci-fi visual novel, you cannot go wrong with The Gun-Dog.

Overall; Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog is a solid science-fiction visual novel that is entertaining and pretty to look at!

    Verdict: Recommended

Weekly Crypto and NFT Market Recap (17 Feb – 23 Feb)

Weekly Crypto and NFT Market Recap (17 Feb – 23 Feb)

    Week of New TGEs: $Pi, $KAITO & $IP

    Pi Network ($PI)

After several delays, Pi Network’s open mainnet is set to launch officially on February 20th. Following this, $PI has been listed on multiple exchanges such as OKX, Bitget, Bitrue, HTX, and BitMart.

$PI launched with an initial price of $2 and reached an all-time high of $2.2 since its listing. Despite a sharp drop two days after its listing, the Stellar Consensus Protocol’s current stability at $1.58 is remarkable.

    Kaito AI ($KAITO)

Kaito AI is a leading platform regarding AI & InfoFi by leveraging its custom LLM tailored for the crypto domain. With a vision to revolutionize information accessibility in Web3, Kaito AI transforms fragmented data into valuable insights, enabling users to make more informed decisions.

On February 20, Kaito opened its airdrop claim, in which the allocation was tied to its Yaps Program. Thereafter, the $KAITO price went steady above $1.61, indicating strong community support, token usecase and buying interest post-TGE.

Kaito’s post-TGE resilience highlights the effectiveness of its “Yap-to-Earn” model and strong community engagement.

Unlike Pi’s broad but untested base, Kaito’s niche focusing on AI-driven initiatives and governance features gives it staying power.

Story Protocol’s $IP token, launched with its mainnet on February 13, 2025, has seen a standout performer since its TGE. By February 20, the token surged to an all-time high of $7.11 and currently stands at $4.9 as of today.

$IP price: Updated on February 25. Source: CoinMarketCap

The surge to $7.94 reflects speculative hype, while the correction to $3.96 shows profit-taking and market stabilization. In essence, $IP benefits from clear utility, which could partly came from the NFT craze of PFP3 drives the demand for $IP due to NFT trading activities.

Key points: PI Network may do well after the TGE because it had a low initial circulating supply. Meanwhile, both $IP and $KAITO, which are native tokens, play important roles that encourage whales to accumulate.

OpenSea Faces Controversy For Its New Reward System

OpenSea launched the beta version of its OS2 platform on January 28, introducing an XP points system—one of the mechanisms used to determine the amount of $SEA users may receive in the upcoming airdrop.

XP points can be earned through listing NFTs, making collection offers, or other interactive elements that highlight XP-earning actions.

However, the NFT community quickly voiced their dissatisfaction with this system, criticizing it for encouraging wash trading and prioritizing platform profits from listing and bidding fees over supporting creators.

Monad is making a significant advancement with the launch of its public testnet on February 19. This marks a key milestone following the completion of its closed testnet phase at the end of 2024.

The testnet will allow the blockchain community to experience and evaluate Monad’s processing capabilities in a real-world environment. Developers will have the opportunity to test their applications while also contributing to improving the system’s performance and security before its official launch in late 2025.

Among its core capabilities, the testnet introduces a gas limit of 300 million gas per second, expected to support a throughput of 10,000 transactions per second (TPS).

Hackers Steal $1.4 Billion from Bybit

On February 21, Bybit suffered a massive security breach, resulting in the theft of approximately $1.46 billion in Ethereum (ETH) and related tokens from one of its offline cold wallets. This incident is considered the largest cryptocurrency hack in history, surpassing previous records like the $611 million Poly Network theft in 2021.

The attack occurred during a routine transfer from a multisignature cold wallet to a warm wallet, where hackers used a sophisticated method to manipulate the transaction process. They masked the signing interface to deceive Bybit’s team into approving a malicious transfer, allowing the funds to be siphoned to an unknown address.

The stolen funds, primarily ETH and staked tokens like stETH and mETH, were quickly dispersed across multiple wallets and laundered through decentralized exchanges, cross-chain bridges, and services like eXch, with some converted into Bitcoin to obscure the trail.

Bybit’s CEO, Ben Zhou emphasized the company’s commitment to recovering the funds, offering a 10% reward for assistance from cybersecurity experts, and collaborating with authorities and forensic teams to trace the assets.

Read more: Recap of the $1.4 billion robbery from Bybit by hackers

    Next Steps

Last week’s crypto and NFT market witnessed ups and downs—from TGE highs to a historic hack—setting the stage for both opportunity and caution.

$PI, $KAITO and $IP are holding strong post-TGE; track their ecosystems (Kaito’s Yaps, Story Protocol’s IP Portal) for signs of sustained growth, while $PI with less utility in tokens is still questionable.

At the moment, Monad is one of the most to-watch protocols for Airdrop potential.

Bybit’s $1.4 billion hack is a stark reminder: audit your security. Move assets to hardware wallets or trusted multisignature setups and avoid keeping large sums on exchanges even in cold wallets.

Best Meme Coins to Buy: Find the Next Meme Coins to Explode

Best Meme Coins to Buy: Find the Next Meme Coins to Explode

The first few months of this year have been rough for the meme coin space, with large-cap coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu down around 30% over the past month.

But this dip hasn’t stopped new tokens from making waves across the meme coin market. For instance, Sundog (SUNDOG), a tron-based meme coin, jumped nearly 75% in a single week.

Many investors also expect a full-fledged meme coin supercycle in 2025, especially after the recent downtrend in the meme coin market.

As a result, we could see new high-utility meme coins delivering 10x or even higher gains. With that in mind, here are 5 best meme coins to buy right now.

    MIND of Pepe

Leading our list of best meme coins is MIND of Pepe ($MIND). Many investors are eagerly watching this new meme coin after it raised $6.8 million just over a month after its launch.

Unlike traditional trading bots, MIND of Pepe will launch an autonomous AI agent that interacts with dApps and social media platforms like X and Telegram.

The AI agent’s main differentiator is its ability to analyze real-time trends and create new meme coins. It can capitalize on hype before it peaks and gives MIND token holders exclusive access to these insights before it hits the broader market.

The AI agent anticipates market trends. For example, if influencers hint at a new meme coin, MIND of Pepe can create and launch one with priority access for MIND token holders.

Analysts project that the MIND token could offer 10x returns, especially as AI-themed tokens continue to grow.

Early buyers can get a high APY of up to 340%. MIND tokens are currently priced at $0.0033857 each, which will soon increase in the next presale round.

    Visit MIND of Pepe Presale

    BTC Bull Token

Another promising meme coin to buy is BTC Bull Token ($BTCBULL). It’s the first-ever community-driven token that will offer real Bitcoin whenever BTC reaches new price milestones (e.g., $150,000, $200,000, and so on).

With $2.7 million already raised in its presale, BTCBULL is attracting investors who believe in Bitcoin’s long-term growth.

Every new price milestone (starting at $150,000) triggers Bitcoin rewards to BTCBULL holders. These rewards are given out in proportion to the BTCBULL tokens you’ve bought in the presale.

At certain BTC thresholds (like $125,000), BTCBULL will also trigger token burns to reduce its supply over the long term. If Bitcoin grows to $500,000 or beyond, these periodic burns could make BTCBULL significantly more valuable.

Beyond milestone rewards, BTCBULL features a staking pool with up to 150% APY. You can buy BTC Bull Token for a discount at just $0.00238 before the next price increase.

    Visit BTC Bull Token Presale

    Meme Index

Next on our top meme coins list is Meme Index ($MEMEX). It tackles one of the hardest parts of meme coin investing: picking winners among hundreds of new launches.

Rather than guessing which single meme coin might give 100x returns, MEMEX holders can get diversified exposure through curated baskets of meme tokens.

It’s like a simplified “ETF” approach, letting you benefit from multiple meme coins by just holding MEMEX tokens. The baskets range from the Titan covering blue chip memes to the Frenzy basket that focuses on high risk low cap tokens.

Only MEMEX holders get exclusive access to these baskets when they stake their tokens.

Holders can also vote on which tokens should be added or removed from each basket. As this idea gains more traction, the MEMEX token presale raised over $3.8 million.

You can stake MEMEX tokens for an APY of up to 590%. Early buyers can still buy MEMEX for just $0.0164896 before it enters the next presale round.

    Visit Meme Index Presale

    Dogecoin

From its joke-like beginnings, Dogecoin ($DOGE) has evolved into a widely recognized crypto with high liquidity and a global community.

Despite a recent 30% dip, Dogecoin remains the top meme coin by market cap. In January 2025, Grayscale Investments took a big step by introducing the Grayscale Dogecoin Trust, hinting at rising institutional appetite.

Elon Musk has also played a consistent role in boosting DOGE’s visibility. His frequent tweets and public endorsements typically spark massive price movements.

With an already devoted community and mainstream exposure, Dogecoin is well-positioned to benefit if meme coins see a supercycle. In fact, some analysts speculate DOGE could eventually reach $1.

DOGE is currently trading at around $0.22, down 68% from its all-time high (ATH).

While not as “new” as other picks on this list, DOGE’s proven track record makes it a promising meme coin for the next bull run.

    Notcoin

Notcoin (NOT) is another popular meme coin that is a relatively recent entry. It launched in late 2023 on The Open Network (TON) blockchain and quickly caught attention by offering gamified features with a modern meme coin framework.

Initially, Notcoin attracted over 40 million participants through a simple Telegram clicker game. Users earned NOT tokens simply by tapping a virtual coin.

The project has since pivoted to an “explore-to-earn” model, where users are rewarded for diving deeper into the TON ecosystem.

Notcoin currently trades around $0.002871. This price is almost 90% below its ATH, leaving much room for growth in case of a broader market recovery.

    NotcoinNotcoin

With major listings on Binance, MEXC, and Bybit, NOT already enjoys high liquidity, which is an essential factor for meme coins looking for rapid adoption.

The Callisto Protocol Dev Cuts More Jobs In Gaming’s Latest Layoffs

The Callisto Protocol Dev Cuts More Jobs In Gaming’s Latest Layoffs

Striking Distance Studios, the Krafton-owned game studio that made 2022’s The Callisto Protocol and 2024’s Redacted, has undergone a new round of layoffs. This follows on from a previous round of cuts in 2023.

In a statement to GameSpot, Striking Distance confirmed that it has “reduced the size of its team” in an effort to “remain agile.” The statement also stressed that the cuts were part of a drive to establish a “sustainable environment” at the studio for the “current stage of development on future projects.”

Striking Distance does not have any upcoming games that have been announced, but the statement confirmed that the team “remains operational” and that the layoffs “will not impact any planned ongoing support.”

“No further changes are planned at this time,” Striking Distance said to close out its statement.

In terms of the scope of the cuts, that remains unknown, but 80 Level discovered that anaffected worker said “most of the devs were laid off.”

Striking Distance has zero open positions listed on its careers page.

The Callisto Protocol was released in 2022 and was originally planned to be a PUBG spin-off before those plans were scuttled and it became its own thing. The game wasn’t a critical or commercial hit, however. Striking Distance followed it up with October 2024’s Redacted, which is set in the same sci-fi horror universe as The Callisto Protocol. It didn’t exactly light it up, either, in terms of review scores or sales–it achieved a peak concurrent player figure of 168 on Steam.

As for what’s next, it’s been reported that Striking Distance is working on a third-person AAA multiplayer game that runs on Unreal Engine 5.

Striking Distance was founded by Glen Schofield, who is best known for his work on the Dead Space and Call of Duty franchises. Schofield left the company in 2023 and is hyping up a mysterious project.

Layoffs in the video game industry have been a repeated event in the past few years, and the unfortunate trend has continued so far in 2025, with layoffs impacting the Marvel Rivals US team, Crytek, and BioWare, among others.

However, she may prosecute the actual shooter later this year. Will she have to question her niece Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) about Uncle EJ’s shooting? Days of our Lives sources hint that the child may pull the trigger. Keep watching the daytime drama to find out.

The Engagement Paradox: How Chasing It Can Make You Lose It

      0
The Engagement Paradox: How Chasing It Can Make You Lose It

Engagement should be the key indicator of a customer’s authentic interest in the content presented to them.

      But

When you optimize for engagement, you often end up reducing it. Here’s why.

When most people think about engagement, they picture activity—clicks, likes, comments, or shares. Engagement is often calculated as the number of interactions divided by the number of views. This definition equates engagement with action, implying that the more someone interacts with a piece of content, the more engaged they are.

According to Webster’s Dictionary, engagement is defined as “emotional involvement or commitment.” So, who’s right? Is engagement about measurable actions, or is it an internal emotional experience? Let’s dive deeper.

The History of Engagement: A Short but Rich Story

In Western thought, the concept of engagement has a surprisingly brief history. The first philosopher to use the term explicitly was Jean-Paul Sartre in the mid-20th century. Sartre defined engagement (l’engagement) as a conscious commitment to action. For Sartre, engagement was about knowingly choosing to act or commit.

Sartre’s ideas were influenced by Martin Heidegger, who introduced the concept of being-in-the-world (Dasein)—a state of meaningful, active participation in life. Interestingly, Eastern philosophy had addressed engagement centuries earlier. Zen Buddhism, for example, encourages mindfulness and full immersion in the present moment, offering a timeless perspective on what it means to engage truly.

Engagement vs. Interaction: The Goodhart’s Law Problem

If engagement is about emotional involvement, why do we measure it by counting interactions?

This discrepancy can be explained by Goodhart’s Law, which states: “When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.” Metrics like clicks, likes, and shares were originally proxies for engagement because they were easy to track. However, optimizing for these metrics has led to strategies that inflate numbers without fostering genuine emotional connection.

      Why Metrics Fall Short

While interactions provide a starting point, they fail to capture the depth of engagement:

Emotional Depth: A like or comment doesn’t necessarily reflect true emotional involvement. It might be habitual or fleeting.
Silent Engagement: People can be deeply engaged without outward interaction, as seen in real-life scenarios like a family watching a game or someone admiring art.
Superficial vs. Authentic Engagement: Metrics like clicks often reflect curiosity or algorithmic nudges, not genuine connection.

By optimizing for these metrics, we risk improving KPIs while failing to drive actual outcomes like loyalty, sales, or meaningful participation.

      How to Foster Real Engagement

We need strategies that cultivate genuine emotional and social involvement to move beyond surface-level metrics.

      1. Focus on Emotional Resonance

Create stories, visuals, and experiences that evoke emotions like curiosity, joy, and awe. Emotional content fosters deeper, longer-lasting engagement.
Barbara Fredrickson explains that emotions like joy and awe expand our focus and help build meaningful connections.

      2. Create Opportunities for Shared Experiences

Engagement often thrives in social contexts. Whether it’s group discussions, live chats, or collaborative activities, designing moments for connection amplifies engagement.
Lev Vygotsky emphasized how social interaction deepens learning and engagement, while Albert Bandura highlighted the role of observation and group dynamics in fostering collective purpose.

Conclusion: Engagement Is Emotional and Social

Engagement is far richer than the number of clicks or comments a piece of content generates. It’s an emotional and often social experience that can be just as powerful when quiet or introspective.

The next time you evaluate engagement—whether in a meeting, an event, or a social media campaign—look beyond the numbers. Consider the depth of connection and the emotions sparked. Sometimes, the most engaged person in the room isn’t the one talking but the one who’s truly listening.
