Arbitrum Foundation and Karrat Foundation have announced the launch of Studio Chain, a new blockchain aimed at helping entertainment creators develop interactive experiences. This initiative will use Arbitrum’s Layer-2 network alongside the Karrat Foundation’s token-based model (called $KARRAT) to attract both large and small teams that want to build Web3 games, AI-driven tools, and other creative applications.

Set in the vibrant Hooliland City, the game includes quirky weapons and lighthearted conflicts with a character called Metazuckbot. The game has various modes of combat, both PvE and PvP, alongside melee and ranged weapons, skateboard mechanics, destructible settings, city exploration, and competition-focused arenas.

Plans for expansion include releases on Xbox and Steam, with an Early Access stage on Steam that might last at least six months. The team is currently aiming for a full release by December 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update One arrives April 4 with Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, a new speedrunning mode and… the ability to play dress up with Alma


Capcom promised to tell us more about the first major update for Monster Hunter Wilds, and the developer has delivered. As part the just livestreamed Monster Hunter Showcase, we got treated to some nice new footage of the new content coming to the game soon.

First things first, though, Title Update 1 will be released on Friday, April 4 (April 3 PDT) across all platforms.

Kicking things off, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto introduced a new trailer featuring our first look at Wilds’ The Grand Hub (and a pretty sick rendition of the game’s theme). Some version of the Cantina returns, though it doesn’t look to be the one from World or past games.

The Grand Hub consolidates a number of NPCs in one place, and acts as a meeting point for Hunters. You’ll even find the new Barrel Bowling minigame there to keep you busy. The Grand Hub is available at HR16, after talking to Tetsuzan in Suja.

The trailer also offered a first look at Mizutsune, who never looked better. All the bubble and water attacks return. You’ll be able to take on Mizutsune at HR 21 or above. Of course, defeating the monster unlocks new armour choices for your Hunter.

Speaking of taking on new threats, TU1 will, as promised, introduce more challenging monsters. Arch-Tempered Rey Dau will be the first of those, available as part of an Event Quest. New armour variants are available for that version of Rey Dau, too. Arch-Tempered monsters are more difficult than anything in the game, and this particular quest is available to players HR50 and above.

Zoh Shina is also getting its own quest so you can fight it outside the campaign. This quest is available at HR50 and above, but you have to first complete a mission that unlocks once you reach HR50. Zoh Shina has some of the coolest gear in the game, which you’ll be able to forge using materials gathered from hunting it.

Arena Quests is another new addition in TU1, and they’re effectively challenges where players compete to see who could hunt the monster at the shortest time. There’s a new leaderboard for it and everything.

It’s worth noting, however, that these quests have equipment requirements, so you may need to get better with certain weapons you’re not used to. Challenge Quests are limited to two players, but the more accessible version – Free Challenge Quests – instead let you play with a full party and use any weapon you like.

Elsewhere in the update, you can also now change Alma’s outfits. TU1 adds a free one for you try, and you can expect more in the future, including as part of free DLC. Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 also arrives with TU1, for those who paid for the more expensive editions of Wilds.

Monster Hunter Wilds will also kick off Seasonal Events with a celebration of spring – Festival of Accord – on April 23, which is going to change the look of The Grand Hub and update available meals.

Finally, Capcom offered a brief look at what to expect beyond TU1. At the end of May, update 1.011 will be released, adding the first Capcom Collaboration as well as other features. Going even further, the next TU will arrive in the summer, and we got a very brief teaser of Lagiacrus – the next monster at the end of the showcase.

DFZ Labs has launched a new tool—Coldlink.xyz—allowing users to connect blockchain wallet addresses to a wide range of digital and real-world identifiers to support secure and flexible identification across a variety of environments, including gaming platforms, events, and online communities without requiring wallet connections, smart contract approvals, or digital signatures—a notable departure from standard verification or delegation methods.

Currently in beta, Coldlink.xyz supports Ethereum and Solana, with plans to expand compatibility to additional Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks and add new integrations on a weekly basis. The tool is being tested by over 150 creators and organisations, including several industry leaders such as Punks DAO, NFC Lisbon, and Deadfellaz among others.

According to DFZ Labs, the system was initially developed to address challenges within its own projects but has since been expanded for broader use.

What is Coldlink.xyz?

Coldlink.xyz is a verification and linking tool that allows users to associate a blockchain address with a broad set of other identifiers including but not limited to usernames, social media handles, PO box numbers, NFC tags, event ticket numbers, or custom codes.

“Through Coldlink.xyz we have unlocked the interoperability and freedom of movement across the entire digital space that we had all hypothesized in 2021 during the boom of NFTs,” said Betty, CEO at DFZ Labs. “We can now bring the value of digital assets with us across all of the spaces we inhabit. Large scale, cross-chain drops can be executed easily without risking any assets, token-gated experiences and events can be facilitated by anyone and accessed without risk or KYC, perks and rewards can now flow between web3 and web2 platforms easily with little to no infrastructure change required on the web2 side.”

The system is designed to operate without requiring the user to connect their wallet to a third-party platform. No on-chain transactions, smart contract approvals, or blind signatures are needed to establish a connection, which is intended to reduce potential risks.

The tool was originally designed as part of DFZ Labs’ internal efforts to improve access and verification for its gaming platforms and has since been adapted to suit a wider range of uses, such as managing access to events, running cross-chain campaigns, or linking digital assets to offline items.

The tool is currently in beta testing and developers interested in using Coldlink can access the API through the project’s website.

Now, Jensen Huang has made further remarks regarding this emerging technology. According to him, humanoid robots will be broadly used in manufacturing facilities within the next few years, marking the beginning of a full-scale robotic revolution.

While he noted that the initial applications will be in factories due to the robots’ specific functions, Huang also emphasized that they will eventually become accessible to everyday users as well.

Will Shattered Veil Get an Intro Cinematic in Black Ops 6 Zombies?


Fans are discussing whether or not the Shattered Veil map will receive an intro cinematic after The Tomb dropped without one in Black Ops 6 Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3 arrives next week, on April 3, and the main headline of the update is Verdansk’s return to Warzone.

However, Zombies fans also have plenty to look forward to, with a brand-new round-based experience arriving alongside the new season.

We’ve already had plenty of new Shattered Veil screenshots arrive for Black Ops 6 Zombies – but will the upcoming map actually receive a cinematic trailer this time?

Shattered Veil’s Intro Cinematic

It’s been one week since Treyarch revealed the official title of the Liberty Falls mansion map, and since then, we’ve heard nothing about the release of Shattered Veil.

Seeing as the new map is expected to arrive on April 3, it’s about time for the developer to drop the map’s cinematic – but some fans suspect it will never come.

After all, The Tomb map, which arrived in Season 2, did not receive a cinematic trailer prior to its release. Nor did the Zombies map feature an intro when loading into the game, despite one being present for all three previous maps.

This was likely due to the SAG-AFTRA voice actor strikes making it difficult for Activision to record new voice lines for its trailers. However, it could also be explained by a lack of time, or the studio prioritizing other matters in the leadup to the map’s release.

To be clear, there’s still time for Treyarch to reveal a new trailer for Shattered Veil before launch. However, some fans believe that there might not be much point.

Have We Already Seen the Trailer?

After all, another factor worth considering is that we may have actually seen the Shattered Veil cinematic trailer already…

In the introduction to Liberty Falls, we see Eddie Richtofen wake up inside the Project Janus mansion. There, he learns of a zombie outbreak, battles the undead throughout the mansion, and makes his way down to S.A.M. which is breaking out of its confinement.

It’s the perfect setup to Shattered Veil, and has little to do with the Liberty Falls map it preceded. Is it possible that Treyarch simply launched this cutscene early, rather than making one for the actual launch map?

If we had never seen this cinematic before, we’d be certain that it’s for Shattered Veil.

After all, it doesn’t actually show anything to do with Liberty Falls – and it teases S.A.M. being the villain despite the fact that our ally has never appeared sinister in-game.

It even shows Richtofen having nightmares about his family burning, which Treyarch teases could be an integral part of the upcoming Zombies experience:

What’s more, the trailer showcases several locations from Treyarch’s in-game screenshots, including the iconic T-Rex skeleton, and even teases the map’s Wonder Weapon!

For now, even if Treyarch doesn’t reveal a new cinematic for Shattered Veil, we can at least enjoy the one we have.

But without an introduction, the map risks feeling a little underwhelming to jump into when Season 3 arrives.
