Marvel Rivals has finally launched the highly anticipated Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event, which introduces players to the chaotic and exhilarating Clone Rumble mode. In the game mode, teams vote for one hero, leaving players with only two options for heated 6v6 clashes on the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Birnin T’Challa map.

The mode eliminates standard hero limitations, allowing for bizarre scenarios such as 12 Groots transforming the battlefield into a forest or a dozen Mister Fantastics colliding in stretchy mayhem. Along with the mode, the event features a board game-style adventure in which players roll dice with Galacta’s Power Cosmic tokens collected during missions to unlock gifts such as the free Black Widow Mrs. Barnes cowboy skin, sprays, and Units.

Clone Rumble is scheduled to take place over three weekends: March 7-10, 14-17, and 21-24. However, the secret reward, which is expected to be unlocked around March 31, is sparking intrigue. Players are buzzing with thoughts, with many speculating that it could indicate the release of a new map.

Marvel Rivals player theory suggests new map coming at the end of Clone Rumble event

Marvel Rivals players are now taking to social media to speculate about the mystery reward that’s positioned at the center of the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event map. While the event itself grants players multiple units, cosmetic items and a free skin, the mystery reward hasn’t been leaked nor teased as of yet.

In the Reddit post shared by BakeMate, they circled each different map from the existing roll that is featured on the event screen and the one at the center. In the game there are six different areas, namely: Empire of Eternal Night, Hydra Charteris Base, Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda, Klyntar, Tokyo 2099, and Yggsgard.

In the post they claim, “new map revealed in 23 days 10 hours theory?” Agreeing to the theory, several players shared a similar sentiment where one user wrote, “Each part of the map is segregated by the floating stones, whilst leaving the middle part almost empty. There’s a piece of floating stone that says it’ll be revealed in 23 days and 10 hours. My theory is that we are gonna get a new map, probably Krakoa?”

According to the leaks, Krakoa is one of the highly speculated maps that is often teased in the files revealed by data miners and is said to be released in Marvel Rivals Season 2, which will also bring the iconic Hellfire Gala theme to the game.

One Of The Greatest Cold War Movies Ever Is Streaming For Free – SlashFilm

There was an all-too-brief time in the 1990s when films dealing with Cold War subject matter felt antiquated. With the break-up of the Soviet Union and the spread of democracy throughout Eastern Europe, we had good reason to believe that the West’s steadfast example of representative government had won out in the global marketplace of ideas. Countries that had been driven into financial misery by corrupt authoritarian leaders were suddenly eager to get in on the capitalism game. Alas, as most of us already knew, there’s not a more corruptible game in town when laws aren’t enforced. One look at the daily headlines makes it clear that these Cold War movies aren’t just relevant again — they’re grim dispatches from a bizarro world where the West came out on top of this chilling conflict.

It’s a hard pill to swallow, and I wouldn’t blame you if you’re not in the mood for a classic paranoid political thriller at the time being. After all, we arguably failed to heed this genre’s warnings. But if you’ve got a strong stomach and/or simply want to watch a brilliantly crafted movie about an attempted takeover of the American government, you can’t do any better than John Frankenheimer’s 1962 classic “The Manchurian Candidate.” And here’s some actual good news: you can currently watch it for free (with ads) on YouTube.

The Manchurian Candidate is a riveting political thriller

Frankenheimer’s film, adapted from Richard Condon’s novel by the skilled satirist George Axelrod, stars Frank Sinatra as Bennett Marco, a U.S. Army Intelligence officer who was once held captive by the Chinese during the Korean War. Also taken prisoner was Raymond Shaw (Lawrence Harvey), who, being the son of a powerful U.S. Senator with presidential ambitions, proves to be a valuable asset. While being held, the men are brainwashed via a technique that makes them susceptible to a specific trigger. For Shaw, it is the Queen of Diamonds, and it is the goal of his treasonous mother (a deliciously evil Angela Lansbury) to direct her unwitting son to clear a murderous path to the presidency for her husband.

“The Manchurian Candidate” was released on October 24, 1962, four days before the resolution of the Cuban Missile Crisis, and has remained a favorite of political thriller junkies for over half a century. The film got a boost in 1987 from a well-received screening at the New York Film Festival, which prompted a theatrical re-release. Though it was shot in black-and-white (which should never be a turn-off, but if it is for you, boy, you’re missing out), Frankenheimer’s skill at staging suspense set pieces is timeless; the movie holds you in its grip all the way to its stunning finale, which hits quite differently in our day and age. Whether it leaves you angry or despairing, I guarantee that it will leave you shaken. It is an unforgettable movie that ponders what it would take to overthrow the U.S. government. Turns out, Condon, Frankenheimer and Axelrod might’ve been too hopeful.

What Is Sui (SUI)? The Ultimate Guide to the Sui Network

What Is Sui (SUI)? The Ultimate Guide to the Sui Network

New crypto projects pop up all the time, each trying to solve problems like speed, scalability, or cost issues of the Ethereum blockchain. Some are simple to use, while others are built for dapps or games. Sui is a similar layer-1 blockchain with a unique “Move” programming language.

In this guide, we will review what Sui crypto is, how it works, its working architecture, its use cases, and how it competes with other blockchains.

    What is Sui?

Sui is a layer-1 blockchain built for speed, scalability, and low-cost transactions. It launched its mainnet on May 3, 2023. Unlike Ethereum or Bitcoin, which process everything in a single line, Sui processes transactions in parallel. This means it can handle many tasks at once, making it super quick – up to 300,000 transactions per second (theoretically).

The blockchain runs on a delegated proof-of-stake system, so people can stake their SUI with validators to earn rewards. Sui also uses the Move programming language, which started at Meta. Move keeps smart contracts safe by stopping errors like double-spending. Another cool feature is its object-centric model. This treats assets like NFTs or tokens as objects with their own rules, making them easier to manage.

Transaction fees stay low – often less than a cent. The network hit a peak of 9,029 transactions per second in July 2023, showing it can handle real-world use. Sui aims to bring Web3 to billions of people, focusing on fast, cheap, and secure digital ownership for things like games, payments, and social platforms.

Who created Sui? A brief history of the Sui team

Sui was created by Mysten Labs, a company started in 2021 by five ex-Meta engineers. The team includes Evan Cheng, Sam Blackshear, Adeniyi Abiodun, George Danezis, and Kostas Chalkias. They worked together at Meta’s Novi division, building the Diem blockchain and Move language before Meta shut it down.

Evan Cheng leads as CEO. He spent over 10 years at Apple and Facebook, focusing on tech platforms. Sam Blackshear, the CTO, invented Move while at Novi, bringing his coding skills to Sui. Adeniyi Abiodun, the CPO, led product teams at Oracle and VMware before joining Meta. George Danezis, Chief Scientist, teaches security at University College London and has 20 years of experience. Kostas Chalkias, Chief Cryptographer, worked on cryptography at Meta and R3.

Mysten Labs raised $36 million in December 2021 from Andreessen Horowitz and others. Later, in September 2022, they got $300 million more from investors like FTX Ventures and Binance Labs, valuing the company at $2 billion.

    How does Sui work?

Sui works as a layer-1 blockchain designed for speed and efficiency. It processes transactions differently from older blockchains like Bitcoin. Instead of lining up every transaction in one slow chain, Sui sorts them into two types: simple and complex.

Simple ones, like sending SUI tokens, get handled instantly by validators without waiting for the whole network to agree. Complex ones, like smart contracts, use a consensus system but still move fast.

Let’s explain its core working concepts:

    1. Move programming language

Sui uses the Move programming language to create secure and flexible smart contracts. Move was originally built by Meta for the Diem blockchain, but Sui adapted it for its needs.

The language treats everything as objects, like tokens or NFTs, with clear rules about who owns them and how they can change. This makes it harder for developers to accidentally introduce bugs or security flaws, unlike Ethereum’s Solidity.

Move also supports programmable transaction blocks, letting users bundle up to 1024 actions into one transaction. This cuts costs and speeds things up. For example, a game developer can update multiple player assets in a single move.

    2. Parallel transaction execution

Sui executes transactions in parallel to boost speed and capacity. Most blockchains process transactions one after another, which slows things down as demand grows. Sui looks at each transaction’s objects – like a coin or an NFT – and checks if they overlap.

Transactions that don’t affect the same objects run at the same time across different validators. This is possible because Sui’s object-centric model tracks dependencies clearly.

In tests with 50 nodes, Sui hit over 300,000 tps without clogging up. Simple transfers finish almost instantly, while complex ones, like trading on a shared pool, still process quickly. This parallel setup means Sui can handle more users and apps without slowing down.

    3. Object-centric model

Sui’s object-centric model changes how data works on a blockchain. Unlike Ethereum’s account-based system, where balances update in one big ledger, Sui treats everything as an object with its own details and ownership.

A token, an NFT, or a smart contract is an object that can be moved or changed independently. This makes tracking easier and cuts the need for constant network-wide updates.

Objects fall into two types: single-owner, handled quickly without consensus, and shared, needing validator agreement. This split lets Sui process unrelated transactions at the same time. The model also simplifies sharding – splitting data for efficiency – since objects don’t need global sync. In practice, this helps Sui scale and keeps fees under $0.01, even during busy periods.

    4. Consensus mechanism: Narwhal & Bullshark

Sui’s consensus uses Narwhal and Bullshark to balance speed and reliability. Narwhal acts as a mempool, collecting transactions and organizing them into a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG).

This setup lets validators share data quickly without waiting for a strict order. Bullshark then decides the final order for transactions that need it, like those involving shared objects. It uses Byzantine Fault Tolerance to ensure agreement, even if some validators fail.

Simple transactions bypass this and settle in under a second. Together, they push Sui’s throughput past 300,000 tps in tests, with latency around 2 seconds for complex cases. This duo makes Sui robust and quick, handling faults while keeping the network decentralized through its Delegated Proof-of-Stake validators.

    5. Horizontal scalability

Sui scales horizontally, meaning it grows stronger as more resources join in. Traditional blockchains struggle when busy because every node processes every transaction.

Sui spreads the work across validators, and adding more machines boosts capacity. Each validator can handle multiple tasks at once, thanks to parallel execution and the object-centric model. If demand doubles, validators can add workers – extra computers – to keep up.

Storage scales with a fund redistributing fees to cover costs. This flexibility means Sui can support massive apps, like gaming or finance, without hitting a ceiling, unlike chains limited by fixed designs.

The Sui Token and Sui Airdrop

The Sui blockchain has its own token called SUI. The total supply of SUI is fixed at 10 billion tokens. This cap aims to keep the token’s value stable over time.

Sui launched its mainnet on May 3, 2023, and some tokens became available then, while others will unlock gradually until 2030. The current market cap of SUI tokens is over $7.8 billion and ranks among the top 20 cryptocurrencies.

The Sui Token and Sui AirdropThe Sui Token and Sui Airdrop

Sui’s team, Mysten Labs, decided against airdrop marketing. Sui confirmed in April 2023 that no airdrop would happen. Instead, they focused on a Community Access Program.

This program lets early supporters, like testers and Discord members who joined before February 1, 2023, buy SUI tokens at $0.03 each during a sale on exchanges like OKX, KuCoin, and Bybit.

    Tokenomics

Sui’s tokenomics explains how SUI tokens are distributed and managed. The total supply is 10 billion tokens, and this number won’t change. At launch in May 2023, only about 5% of the tokens, around 528 million, were circulating.

Today, the circulating supply has grown to roughly 3.08 billion, according to live data from CoinMarketCap. The rest are locked and will be released over time until 2030.

Here’s the breakdown of the initial plan:

Community Reserve (50% or 5 billion SUI): Managed by the Sui Foundation, this chunk funds grants, research, and validator rewards. It releases slowly to support the network long-term.Early Contributors (20% or 2 billion SUI): This goes to Mysten Labs’ team and early workers. Most of it is locked and vests monthly until 2030.Investors (14% or 1.4 billion SUI): Big backers like Andreessen Horowitz and Binance Labs got these. They’re also locked, unlocking gradually.Community Sale and Launchpool (6% or 594 million SUI): Sold to early supporters and exchange users in 2023.Treasury (10% or 1 billion SUI): Held for future use, like emergencies or extra funding.

    Sui TokenomicsSui Tokenomics

Utility of SUI: What are SUI Tokens Used for?

SUI tokens are the backbone of the Sui blockchain, handling multiple roles to keep the network running smoothly. They let users pay for services, stake to secure the system, and even vote on its future.

Gas fees: SUI tokens pay for gas fees, which are the costs of processing transactions on the Sui network. Every action, like sending tokens or running a smart contract, uses a small amount of SUI—often less than $0.01—because of Sui’s efficient design.Staking & security: You can stake SUI tokens to help secure the network through a Delegated Proof-of-Stake system.Governance: SUI holders can use their tokens to vote on changes to the network, shaping its rules and upgrades. This governance power is tied to staking, so those with more SUI locked up have a bigger say.DeFi & liquidity: SUI tokens fuel decentralized finance (DeFi) on Sui, letting users trade, lend, or provide liquidity in pools. Platforms like Cetus use SUI for swaps and staking.NFTs & gaming: SUI powers NFTs and gaming on the blockchain thanks to its object-centric model and low fees. Developers mint and trade unique digital items – like art or game assets – using SUI, with transactions settling in under a second.

    FAQs

Is sui crypto a good investment?

Sui crypto is a good investment due to its high-performance Layer 1 blockchain, designed for speed and scalability. The network supports a growing ecosystem of decentralized applications (DApps) like Cetus and NAVI, which could drive future value. Investors are drawn to its ability to process up to 300,000 transactions per second theoretically, making it competitive in the blockchain space.

How much is 1 sui in dollars?

1 Sui (SUI) is worth approximately $2.57 in US dollars (at the time of writing). This price is based on real-time data from CoinMarketCap.

    Is Sui the next Solana?

Sui is often compared to Solana because both are high-speed Layer 1 blockchains built for scalability and low-cost transactions. Sui’s current price is $2.57 with a $7.8 billion market cap, while Solana’s market cap is significantly higher, often exceeding $50 billion.

Sui uses a unique object-centric model and Mysticeti consensus, achieving a theoretical 300,000 TPS compared to Solana’s 65,000 TPS claim. Both networks aim to support mass adoption of DApps, but Sui is newer, with its mainnet live since 2023, while Solana has a more established ecosystem. Sui’s growth potential is promising, but it lacks Solana’s broader adoption and developer base as of now.

How is Sui different from other blockchains?

Sui stands out from other blockchains due to its Layer 1 design, which uses a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) architecture instead of a traditional linear chain. This allows Sui to process transactions in parallel.

Unlike Ethereum or Bitcoin, which rely on sequential processing, Sui’s object-centric model tracks individual assets, improving efficiency for DApps. Its Mysticeti consensus mechanism is a variation of Byzantine Fault Tolerance, optimized for speed and low fees, around $0.001 per transaction.

    What is Sui’s price prediction?

Predicting Sui’s price is challenging due to the cryptocurrency market volatility, but analysts provide some insights. Some forecasts suggest Sui could reach $5-$7 by the end of 2025 if its ecosystem grows and adoption increases.

Days of our Lives Weekly Spoilers March 10-14: Johnny Horrified and Kristen Panics

Days of Our Lives spoilers show that Johnny DiMera is completely horrified next week and Kristen DiMera is in a panic with very good reason.

        Days of our Lives Spoilers

So on Days of our Lives, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) got her mom, Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle), out of jail after she bit another inmate. She brought her home, and almost immediately after promising to behave herself, Rachel Blake has gone missing. That’s because she crept out of the mansion and into Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) room.

When Ava comes back from seeing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), there is her former captor, and she is making threats. I’m sure this is about Kristen saying that the reunion is never going to happen with her and Brady. Meanwhile, Kristen absolutely fears the worst because if her mom’s not there, she knows she’s off wreaking havoc somewhere.

Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) chews out DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), and I wonder if it’s because she bought that fence necklace that Doug the Third (Bill Hayes) stole and then Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) helped sell and is now in the hands of Melinda. Did she buy it illegally, or did she buy it without knowing it was stolen? I wonder if Holly is going to try and get it off Melinda to give back to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). But the question is, who’s going to reimburse Melinda for the money?

Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) wants answers from EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). He remembers being at the mansion, he remembers seeing Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering), and then nothing else. But he does have memories of EJ and Arnold together, so he doesn’t have a link from one to the other. Rafe wants to know where his memories went, and of course, EJ’s not going to tell him anything.

Teresa’s Surprise Return and Family Drama Unfolds on Peacock

Teresa (not specified) showed back up on Friday. She finds out on Monday that she is due to be a grandma because of Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black (currently Leo Howard). But when she’s talking to her son about it, Teresa’s like, “Oh, I’m going to be a grandma.” Tate’s like, “Well, if the kid goes up for adoption as they plan, then she really won’t be a grandma.” I wonder if Teresa is going to turn around and have the same mindset as Amy Choy, like, “Oh, let’s just keep the baby.”

Tuesday, March 11th, is season 60, episode 142. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) confides in Jack Junior (JJ) Deveraux. He has a conversation with him at work, and Shawn tells him that he slept with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), explaining the circumstances. JJ is wondering if Jada will turn around and tell Rafe because that would be awkward. They all know each other, they all live in the same small town, it’s about to get messy.

        Brady and Ava on Tuesday

Brady and Ava have an argument on Tuesday. He talked her into not pressing charges, even though she’s very unhappy about what his ex did to her. Ava is furious at Brady, and she may be coming back around to, “I’m just going to press charges. I’m not going to put up with this. I’m not going to have this lunatic creeping around me, and you’ll just have to figure it out.”

Gabby (not specified) exposes Belle Black (Martha Madison) to Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), and she may tell the mayor that the DA slept with the ex-DA. Is Gabby going to tell Paulina that Belle’s been shagging EJ? Speaking of him, he is taunting Rafe and Jada on Tuesday because they have no proof, so they can’t do anything to him. If you have been skipping episodes, you’re going to want to make sure that you watch Days of our Lives all next week, but especially the last couple of days of the week because a bombshell drops that leads to an unspeakable act of violence.

Pregnancy Plots and Takeover Plans Heat Up Salem on Days of Our Lives

On Wednesday, on Days of our Lives, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) makes a suggestion to Leo. We are also going to see Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) this week warning Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) that Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) may be pregnant, and she’s going to go ahead and get those test results. Joy is going to announce something to Alex and Stephanie. To me, that sounds like pregnancy because why would you announce a not pregnancy? That’d be the second unplanned pregnancy plot going on at the same time, but it’s a soap, and that’s a standard trope.

Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) talks to Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) about her concerns, and I’m sure it’s about Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and what they’re plotting. Speaking of them, Philip and Xander are plotting; they are discussing their DEA takeover plans they’re cooking up with Wayan. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) gets closer to Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord).

Missing Persons, Confessions, and Family Secrets Rock DOOL

On Thursday’s DOOL, Marina tells Belle her plan. She’s very upset that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) has gone missing, and Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) is dodging her calls. She told Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), and Marina said she was going to go to DC and confront Shane, and Steve insists on going along. At this point, we’ll find out if Marina has already gone or if she’s packing her bags to go to DC, but they definitely need some answers, and we’re getting down to the endgame story on this.

Paulina offers Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) an apology on Thursday, and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) gets tough with EJ. He is not happy with his dad. There’s a lot of accusations flying around about Arnold being in town and EJ being involved with him, but of course, there’s no firm proof.

Things Get Bad on Days of our Lives

Things take a more serious turn for the DiMeras on Friday, March 14th, episode 145 of season 60. Sophia and Tate are still hopeful they might still be able to make this adoption happen. Meanwhile, EJ makes a confession to Belle, but it’s very hard to imagine that he would make a full confession. Maybe Belle’s trying to seduce that confession out of him. Holly and Doug the Third are brainstorming on how to get back Julie’s necklace. I’m guessing they couldn’t guilt Melinda into giving it back, and they probably didn’t have the money to buy it off of her. And knowing Melinda, she would probably charge them double what she paid.

This is the big deal on Friday’s Days of our Lives. Johnny’s finding out a huge secret. This week, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) tells Johnny that he really has no idea who his dad, EJ, really is, and Johnny insists that his dad cannot be worse than Arnold, who’s a rapist. This is when Roman tells him, “So is EJ.” Johnny winds up talking to Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), and she confirms to Johnny that EJ did indeed rape his mom, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). We are just a couple of weeks away by the end of this week to having Sami back. Alison Sweeney is returning for this part of the story arc, and she is also going to confirm to her son, “Yes, this really happened.”

Young and the Restless Weekly Spoilers March 10-14: Jack Confesses and Chance Gets Kidnap Clue

Young and the Restless spoilers for March 10th through the 14th has Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) confessing and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) gets a big clue about the kidnapping.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Audra, Nate, and Holden’s Risky Alliance

Monday, March 10th on the Young and the Restless Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) sits down, talks to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). She tells him that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) wants to be her friend. She doesn’t want to keep secrets, she doesn’t want to hide anything. Clearly, she’s falling for Nate, which is something Audra never planned to do. She’s willing to cut Holden out of her life. But she reminds Nate that Holden is the only source of information that they have on Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers).

She thinks he’s willing to spill some tea because Audra says that Holden resents Damian because they were friends. Then he went to work for him and the way he talked to them the other day, like get on the plane, get back to work, mind your business, that kind of thing. She said that Holden already told her that Damian has this temper.

Nate tells her that he trusts her and he agrees that they need to keep that pipeline of information open. So when Holden texts asking her about being his friend, then Nate uses her phone and he texts back as Audra, yes, they can be friends.

Audra and Nate are really hoping that the cancer doctor has good news for Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). And, that Damian is going to stay in town for his mom. That’s their hope.

Kidnapping Drama: Phyllis Summers and Sharon Newman’s Fight for Survival

Over in kidnapping Central, Phyllis Summers is working out. You’re in a psychiatric hospital after being kidnapped and thinking, “hey, I’m going to do some Pilates”.

Buy Phyllis is trying to stay strong so they can fight off this mystery person. She and Sharon Newman are bickering as usual. Sharon is busy trying to solve the riddle. Phyllis tells her she already solved it, but then she doesn’t want to tell Sharon the answer in case they were supposed to be competing against each other.

On the Young and the Restless, Phyllis finally relents and tells her that the thing that means everything and costs nothing is forgiveness and that could be several things, love. Phyllis then doubles over in pain and they think she’s been poisoned and the captor says Phyllis wasn’t playing the game. Sharon begs their mystery tormentor for help and after being given some clues, she finds a bottle of water with the antidote to save Phyllis.

Y&R Spoilers: Nick and Billy Abbott’s Reluctant Alliance to Find Missing Women

Meanwhile Y&R spoilers show that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott are discussing Phyllis being missing in action. They’ve both exhausted any contacts they can call trying to find her and they realize something is really wrong with both Sharon and Phyllis going on. This can’t be a coincidence and they agree to work together to find Phyllis and Sharon, but this is a very reluctant alliance. These guys are not fans of each other. It’s not as bad as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Billy, not that toxic, but it’s not great.

Summer’s Schemes and Holden’s Genoa City Adventures on Young and the Restless

On Tuesday’s Young and the Restless we have Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) causing a rift between Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin).

Summer is starting some drama to try and break them up because Kyle and Claire are supposed to be having date night at the GCAC. But, Summer overheard Kyle last week making the plans with Claire and since we’re going to see Claire sitting all alone at the bar having a drink, clearly that means Summer has inserted herself in there.

And, Summer is trying to upset Claire by running Kyle late. I’m sure Summer will let her know that he was late because he was with her.

Hopefully, Kyle will get out in front of it and realize what’s happening and reassure Claire, but we’ll see. Another interesting spoiler is that Holden broadens his horizons in Genoa City. Next, we’re going to talk about what that means and the next big move that Damian’s sketchy employee makes on Y&R.

Claire and Holden May Heat Things Up

Claire is sitting at the bar at the GCAC. She’s looking gorgeous, red dress, hair all done nice and she’s trying out a martini. So, Holden approaches her. And starts making some small talk. Maybe he is looking for somebody because he doesn’t think he has a chance with Audra or maybe he just hits on all women.

I think it’d be pretty interesting honestly if Kyle shows up late for the date because of Summer and sees Claire chatting up that really hot guy because we have to all agree, right? Holden is super hot.

Meanwhile, Phyllis’s captor forces her into a very tough decision. And, of course he wants her to play the game, punish her for not and we’ll see. She said she’d never forgive Sharon, so maybe they are trying to push her to test that theory.

Phyllis and Sharon’s Fight for Control and Tracy’s Surprising News

Wednesday, March 12th, Season 52, episode 109. Phyllis and Sharon decide to take control. I don’t know if they’re going to play the game hard or if they’re just both going to refuse to play the game and Chance is there to comfort Summer. No doubt about Phyllis and I wonder if he has any inkling that Summer just told Nick that she can’t be with Chance because she’s still too upset about the investigation and him, you know, pursuing Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) without looking into other possible suspects.

Tracy Abbott (Beth Maitland) shares some surprising news with Jack and we have a scene next week with Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack’s sister Tracy. They’re all sitting together and Tracy’s talking about how happy she is with Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and he lets her know that he would like to propose and he would if he thought that she would say yes, that he would marry her right now. She’s completely shocked. So I wonder if Tracy’s surprising news is, yeah, we’re doing this thing.

Spoilers for Young and the Restless: Victor’s Doubts, Adam’s Reunion, and a Shocking Confession

Thursday, March 13th, episode 110 of the current season. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is questioning Adam’s decision making. Obviously, he does that all the time, but I wonder if it’s about the Abbotts and he’s refusing to, you know, spin bad press about Jack at Newman Media, which he already told him he didn’t want to do.

Coming up on The Young and the Restless, Adam is reuniting with Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan. Which is what Victor wanted him to do. So I feel like this is more professional than a personal related spoiler.

Phyllis and Sharon fall into a trap that their kidnapper has set and Jack is making a confession to Diane. Now the best confession would be that he’s the one that put Phyllis and Sharon in that room. I doubt it though, but wouldn’t that be a twist? I still am wondering if this person is entirely wicked or just trying to get Phyllis and Sharon to bury the hatchet between them that is driving everybody in town crazy.

Survival, Secrets, and a Potential Cremation Cover-Up

Friday, March 14th, we’re going to wrap up the week with Sharon and Phyllis fighting for their survival. So that sounds like maybe this kidnapper doesn’t have a benevolent agenda and maybe it is really someone who wants to punish them and Chance comes to Billy and Nick with a lead and I wonder if he went to check out Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise) cremation story since they had mentioned oh Ian’s dead and it’s like, do we know that for sure?

It’s like, oh yeah, he’s been cremated. It’s like, has he really? We all know he survived.

Avalanche Shooter ‘Off the Grid’ Has a Thriving Black Market Ahead of On-Chain Trading – Decrypt

Avalanche Shooter ‘Off the Grid’ Has a Thriving Black Market Ahead of On-Chain Trading – Decrypt

Blockchain gaming is supposed to solve the problem of players creating “black markets” for digital items in traditional games, as trading tokenized, user-owned weapons and skins are a key part of open crypto economies.

But ahead of the launch of its Avalanche-based GUNZ L1 mainnet and the on-chain item trading and token that’ll come along with it, Off the Grid—one of crypto’s biggest games to date—has found itself in a very familiar “Web2” kind of situation.

The battle royale shooter has a bustling black market where players trade skins and GUN tokens for real money. This underground economy has spawned due the game currently not allowing players to trade their items freely on-chain, as its mainnet launch looms.

Avid skin collectors gather in clan Discord servers or trading-specific groups, spamming the chat with messages like “Want to buy GUN tokens with USD,” or offering to sell their rare skins in exchange for cash.

This kind of activity is strictly prohibited in the game’s terms of service, but for players aiming to secure some of the game’s best loot before on-chain trading is implemented, it’s apparently worth the risk.

Two of the game’s largest skin collecting whales, Money Magician and torToro, don’t engage with what’s called over-the-counter or OTC trading, because they believe the skins will be worth much more once the GUNZ mainnet launches and items can be freely traded on OpenSea. But they said they’ve received offers.

“For my account, somebody offered $60,000 or something,” Money Magician told Decrypt. “Maybe it seems reasonable right now, but I still wouldn’t sell it—because I know where these NFTs are going.”

These whales own approximately 10,000 and 19,000 NFT items each, both starting their collecting through Off the Grid’s predecessor, a compact mobile experience called Technocore. The pair were then invited to the game’s closed testing period under strict non-disclosure agreement, during which the game’s rarest items to date were released.

During this testing period, players that bought the monthly OTG Pro subscription for $10 were handed the Pioneer content pack as thanks. This came with eight NFT items, and it is believed by the community that only 550 of each were minted at the time.

Thought to be even rarer, however, is the Convict gear and Zippermouth Mask that were available to extract via hexes for a short period of time. The community believes that these are the rarest items in the game, with only 300 of each ever minted. That’s not to mention the possible increased rarity of an item based on its serial number.

There were also guns with modified stats or alternate attachments that were discontinued, which have since been rebranded to “Legacy” and “Retro” skins of stock guns that remain in the game.

Those that own items released during the closed play test are hopeful they will never return to the game, but Theodore Agranat—director of Web3 for developer Gunzilla Games—said that isn’t the case, at least for one of the rare items.

He told Decrypt that the studio “reserves the right” to release items that were never “officially released,” which is defined by it being added to the battle pass, as a monthly content pack, or as part of a special campaign. Agranat said that the Convict gear will “absolutely” be officially released in the future.

Left: Convict chest rig and pants. Right: Pioneer set. Image: torToro

On top of this, Agranat confirmed that Gunzilla Games is working on a more comprehensive numbering system to help validate the amount of items minted. The studio is also implementing a system to display which items are exclusive and which are not.

Off the Grid is currently running on a testnet of GUNZ, the dedicated Avalanche L1 gaming network, meaning that items can be traded on its marketplace using its in-game GUN token. However, items and tokens cannot yet be sold on third-party marketplaces or exchanged for other currencies.

As a result, some players are turning to the black market out of necessity to fulfill their collecting dreams. An avid Off the Grid player simply known as H claims to have bought the Pioneer, Prankster, and Anarchist sets for $3,000, so that he can gift the Pioneer set to his son (who also plays the game) once mainnet hits.

Gamer Henryk Ptasznik shared evidence with Decrypt of an almost $1,500 Solana payment he received, which he claimed was in exchange for his full Pioneer set. He told Decrypt that he did this because he already had enough GUN tokens, and wanted to cash in some of his inventory before mainnet launch, as he fears the uncertainty it may bring.

Most traders, however, are looking to grow their inventory before mainnet, as they believe there will be an immediate price jump—and an even larger increase once a bigger audience starts playing the game and engaging with its on-chain features.

“I believe in the future of Off the Grid. It could be the next Apex [Legends] or Fortnite,” Cpt. Jaxie, a gamer that claims 40% of his crypto portfolio is in Off the Grid NFTs, told Decrypt. “My total investment into Off the Grid is around $4,500, I’ve already turned a profit. I’m around $2,000 in profit.”

“It’s a long-term hold for me,” he added. “One year or more and [it will] 10x in price.”

With so much demand for a black market, many of the biggest Off the Grid clans—such as Flaw Gaming—have dedicated trading Discord channels. In these chats, players look to sell bundles of 1,000 GUN tokens for anywhere between $4 to $10 in an unofficial form of pre-market trading, as well as shift unwanted skins or even sell off their accounts. Other times, buyers will directly approach those holding an item they want, without the need for advertising.

When trading a specific item or set, the two parties enter a dance of risk and trust. After agreeing on a price, one party must list an item on the in-game marketplace for the other to purchase using GUN—which is often sent back to the buyer. Then the buyer must send the agreed-upon amount, usually via crypto, but there are obvious risks here as they could ghost the seller at any time. If there are multiple items to trade, then it may be done in multiple transactions.

Trust risks aside, there are also potential hazards with listing items on the marketplace at all, as a sniper bot could purchase it—especially if it is an ultra-rare item not already on the marketplace. But some traders still persist amid these hurdles.

“I like to have multiples of everything in the market, so I can sell some on mainnet and keep some for myself and my sons,” H told Decrypt. “You can call it a bit of an addiction.”

Previously, Gunzilla Games told Decrypt that it was aiming for a Q1 2025 mainnet launch, which would fully enable trading and eliminate the need for a black market. With only about three weeks left until that deadline, Agranat confirmed to Decrypt that this is still the plan.

Until then, the black market continues to thrive as community members show clear signs that they’re hungry to trade their skins. If Gunzilla Games can’t offer this yet, then much like in Web2 games, players will continue to find ways to trade.

A Complete Guide to Rektguy: The Home of Web3 Culture

            0
A Complete Guide to Rektguy: The Home of Web3 Culture

Web3 culture is forever changing. Created by degens, innovators and the curious minds that have ventured into blockchain technology, Web3 culture is thoroughly unique – and one NFT brand condenses, lives and represents Web3 culture more than any other. That NFT brand is Rektguy.

Built around the story of an eponymous translucent skull character that’s a real blockchain degen, Rektguy quickly grew from its humble beginnings as a gift to the community into an emblem of artistic expression, boundless creativity, and a de-facto representation of honest Web3 culture.

With Rektguy, holders, believers and fans can experience a true slice of the Web3 industry that they won’t get anywhere else in the NFT industry – but what exactly is Rektguy, what have they created so far, and how has the project become such a success?

Here’s our complete guide to the Rektguy NFT project.

            Key Insights

A Complete Guide to Rektguy: The Home of Web3 Culture

            What is Rektguy?

Rektguy is an 8,814-piece NFT collection, minted on Ethereum in May 2022, and created by OSF – in collaboration with co-founder Mando and AlienQueen, and with contributions from OSF’s own family.

The eponymous character of Rektguy is a semi-autobiographical symbolisation of a typical degen trader, getting “rekt” by the volatile crypto markets. His hooded nature, gloomy overtones and penchant for a drink reflect the all-too-real coping mechanisms that many lean into during a market downturn.

With this bold, stark and honest approach to both Web3 culture and the realities of being a part of the blockchain community, Rektguy resonated with a wide audience, becoming a symbol of shared experiences, degen communities, and crypto culture.

The creator of the Rektguy character is Ovie Faruq, known in the community as OSF. Rektguy’s inception dates back to OSF’s tenure at Barclays bank. Disillusioned with his corporate role, he would doodle in his spare time – and on one fateful day, OSF would doodle a skull figure wearing a hoodie with “gm” printed on it, holding a cup of coffee.

During this time, OSF was dipping his toes into the blockchain industry – and as he began to explore creating NFT art himself, this character would become front-and-centre of his artistic explorations. OSF’s first major NFT endeavour would be the Degenz NFT collection – but in October 2021, OSF minted the first of what would become known as the Rektguy character as a unique 1-of-1 NFT on Foundation, simply titled “gm”.

This character would become the focal point of his digital creations – leading to the conceptualisation of the Rektguy NFT collection in January 2022, and its eventual launch in May 2022.

            The history of Rektguy

The Rektguy NFT collection made its debut in May 2022.

Holders of OSF’s prior NFTs, including his Degenz NFT collection, could mint a Rektguy for free, with an additional mint available to the public. A total of 8,814 NFTs were minted over the multi-day minting window. The collection saw immediate success, rising to an all-time high floor price of 1.2 ETH shortly after mint.

As Rektguy was released under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) licence, any holder could make derivative artworks, products and brands from their Rektguy. The first of these, eRektguy, debuted in June 2022, starting a long list of future Rektguy derivative projects.

Rektguy Guide - Rekt CommunityRektguy Guide - Rekt Community

2022 was a busy year for the Rektguy team. It was during this period that the culture-centric focus of the Rektguy community came to the forefront, with an engaged holder-base led by a few standout community members – interacting in The Dive Bar Discord server and elsewhere. This includes figures such as the ever-enthusiastic The Patron, the mysterious figure known as The Ghost, and later celebrities such as Snoop Dogg and Gary Vaynerchuk.

Hype and excitement rose towards summer 2022, where Rektguy staged The Rekt Show at famed burlesque venue The Box during NFT.NYC 2022. Bringing together the Rektguy community in an official capacity for the very first time, the event was a celebration of the Rektguy brand and the insatiable community they had build up to that point. This show would later be replicated in London, and again in NYC, solidifying Rektguy’s IRL events as must-see attractions.

September 2022 heralded the start of The Metallic War, a fiercely-contested yet friendly rivalry between three groups of Rektguy holders: the Golden Girls (gold hoodie Rektguys), the Silver Foxes (iced hoodie Rektguys), and the Strawberry Laces (strawberry lace hoodie Rektguys). This inner rivalry continues to this day, and serves as a testament to the passion and engagement of Rektguy holders around the world.

Rektguy Guide - OSF gm TattooRektguy Guide - OSF gm Tattoo

September 2022 also marked the start of a challenge, issued by OSF: if Rektguy hits 1 ETH, he’ll get a “rekt” tattoo. At the time, the floor price sat at 0.3 ETH – making that target seem ambitious, but not unachievable. In a show of solidarity, many members of the Rektguy community pledged to join OSF in receiving a tattoo should the collection hit 1 ETH. The floor price steadily rose, until that 1 ETH target was reached in December 2022.

Knowing that the 1 ETH floor was coming, OSF got his tattoo done in advance with Ian Rogers, the CXO of Ledger, at renowned Paris tattoo studio Tin-Tin Tatouages. Sharing the images as soon as the 1 ETH floor was hit, the community response was overwhelming. Other Rektguy holders quickly following up on their pledges too, cementing the passion, camaraderie and degen culture of the Rektguy brand.

This isn’t the only challenge issued by the Rektguy founders. Not only has OSF pledged that he will not cut his hair until Rektguy reaches a 4.2 ETH floor price, co-founder Mando – ostensibly not a “tattoo guy” – has stated he will get a “rekt” tattoo on his posterior should that 4.2 ETH floor become a reality.

2023 was somewhat of a quieter year – even though Gary Vee became a Rektguy holder in May 2023. In 2024 though, it all ramped up once again.

In July 2024, OSF announced that Rekt Brands, a company set up to manage and direct the future of the Rektguy brand, had distributed shares in the company to holders of Rektguys NFTs – becoming the first major NFT collection to do so.

This was followed by a laundry list of cryptic social media posts, all with the caption “Something is brewing…”. Then, August 1, 2024 came the announcement of Rekt Rewards. Through Rekt Rewards, participants could earn DRANK points by completing social quests, and later down the line, for purchasing Rekt Drinks – a new sparkling water beverage developed by Rekt Brands.

September 2024 saw OSF announce that all revenues and royalties from any new artworks he made would be directed to Rekt Brands, growing the company and investing in the Rektguy community.

Rekt Drinks launched on October 30, 2025, available to purchase online in fiat, SOL and SOL USDC, with near-worldwide delivery. The launch was a massive success, with all of the drinks selling out by November 1 – totalling over 222,000 cans.

Five days later, Rekt Brands announced a $1.5M seed round, with investors including Luca Netz of Pudgy Penguins, Zagabond of Azuki, and Jack Butcher of Visualize Value.

Those DRANK points didn’t take long to have an effect, as November 22, 2025 saw the launch of $REKT – an ecosystem token for the Rektguy community. Today, $REKT sits at a market cap of $12.2 million USD, with a fully-diluted value of just over $20 million USD.

The Rektguy X profile was taken over by a $REKT-powered AI agent in January 2025 – and the brand has continued to go from strength to strength. Rekt Drinks had a massive presence at NFT Paris 2025, and their Rekt Radio podcast hit its 100th episode in February 2025.

            What’s next for Rektguy?

With a brand that’s as community-centric and community-driven as Rektguy, the path ahead is an open book.

With their recent investment, and efforts in promoting Rekt Drinks in particular, here’s what we could expect in future:

More Web3-related products. Powered by $REKT, Rekt Drinks has been a huge success. More utility would be a clear boost for the token, so perhaps we can see an expanded suite of Rektguy-branded products in future.More community initiatives. Rektguy’s primary strength has always been its passionate, engaged and wildly degen community. 8 Best JRPGs With Time Travel

One of my favorite themes in any work is time travel, whether it’s jumping from the past to the future or even dealing with alternate timelines.

Consequently, I also love games that embrace this theme, especially JRPGs. However, I recognize that it’s rare for a game to nail the theme appropriately, both narratively and in gameplay.

Who put these anime cutscenes in my JRPGs? More, please!

Usually, we have to be pretty lenient with the application of time travel in games because it’s easy to spot loopholes in its execution. But if a game masters time-hopping, the result is splendid.

In this list, I’ll highlight the best JRPGs that feature time travel and successfully incorporate the theme, whether through the story, a gameplay mechanic, or even both, creating a true time-traveling masterpiece.

            8 Tales of Phantasia

            Villain Everywhere All at Once

            tales-of-phantasia-time-travel

Tales of Phantasia was the first Tales of game released. It was already ambitious, introducing a new action combat system, high-end graphics for the SNES, and time-traveling mechanics.

The time-travel system in Tales of Phantasia is entirely structured around the narrative, as it has no gameplay implications, and even so, it’s still highly convoluted.

Cress, the protagonist, is sent to the past to find a way to defeat the villain Dhaos in the present. However, past Dhaos is still alive, and it’s up to Cress and the other party members to take him down.

With more levels than before, the protagonist returns to the present and manages to defeat the first Dhaos, not affected by past events.

Just when they think everything is fine, a visitor from the future shows up, saying the villain is still alive. Cress and the gang go again to smack him, now fifty years ahead.

Despite this mess and the constant tug at the player’s patience, it’s fun to travel through time and witness the crazy adventures along the way.

JRPGs that let us recruit party members through different eras are always amazing, and Tales of Phantasia was one of the first to do it.

7 Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

            Saving The World Alongside Yourself

            mario-luigi-partners-in-time-time-travel

I’ve got good news and bad news for you. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time focuses on time travel entirely for gameplay, bringing fun twists like most Nintendo games. If you’re looking for pure enjoyment, this JRPG has plenty.

However, it does this while disregarding any narrative implications of time travel. If you’re expecting a well-structured story or an airtight plot in this Mario game, you might as well give up and look elsewhere.

With that said, let’s focus on the positives. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time allows the Mario Bros. to travel to the past through Time Holes found in Princess Peach’s Castle. In the past, they meet Baby Mario and Baby Luigi.

That’s where the gimmick begins. The player can control all the characters together, with the babies adorably piggybacking on their older versions, or separately for puzzle-solving, like slipping into small crevices.

In battles, the adult versions usually take action, but if they get knocked out, the babies take the lead. The entire time-traveling theme exists just to justify Mario and Luigi meeting their younger selves and to introduce this unique and amusing gameplay mechanic.

6 Dark Cloud 2 (Dark Chronicle)

            Building Bases Through Time

            dark-cloud-2-time-travel

In Dark Cloud 2, known as Dark Chronicle everywhere outside the US, the player can travel between times using stones called Atlamilia, held by Max and Monica.

The villain, Griffon, wants to steal the stones so he can control time and dominate the future. To prevent this, Max and Monica travel through eras—past, present, and future—restoring villages to thwart Griffon’s powers.

This is where the core gameplay loop of Dark Cloud 2 comes into play.

Those who wanted to explore Nintendo’s JRPG catalog in the 2000s would have to rely on its handhelds rather than home consoles.

We need to rebuild villages using the JRPG’s town-building mechanic. To do this, we explore dungeons, collect materials, and use georamas. After restoring the corresponding village and gathering new allies, we move on to the next.

Time traveling is the central theme of Dark Cloud 2, but it has no technical applications in gameplay. Like many other games that feature it, it’s best to leave science and theories aside.

Otherwise, you’ll find so many loopholes and possible paradoxes that your enjoyment of Dark Cloud 2 will shrink the more your suspension of disbelief struggles. If you can’t do that, just enjoy the game for its base-building design and be happy.

5 Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

            The Post-Game Content

            dragon-quest-11-time-travel

To me, Dragon Quest XI is a JRPG masterpiece and would be my favorite in the franchise, stealing the crown from Dragon Quest VIII if only the game hadn’t chickened out in its third act.

The first and second acts of Dragon Quest XI, considered the canon story, are fantastic. The JRPG franchise has always been colorful and way too friendly. But not here, in the eleventh entry. At one point, everything goes wrong, and even a party member dies.

That is, until the protagonist, the Luminary, decides to travel back in time, return to the past, and break everything that had happened up to that point.

All the stakes, conflicts, losses, and moments of overcoming hardships were erased. God, I was so frustrated with that.

A robust post-game is a tradition in the franchise, adding tons of new content, a whole new storyline, and an endgame boss. Even though Square Enix labels Dragon Quest XI’s third act as post-game, it really feels canon, especially considering its connection to Dragon Quest III.

            4 Cris Tales

Indie JRPG Based on Time Travel

            cris-tales-battle

The Colombian studio Dreams Uncorporated released Cris Tales in 2021. It’s a JRPG-inspired indie game that revolves around time traveling, both in the narrative and as a tool for its turn-based battles.

Story-wise, it’s pretty straightforward. The Empress of Time, Cris Tales’ main antagonist, destroys the protagonist Crisbell’s village.

At that moment, the girl discovers she also has temporal powers and sets off on an adventure to defeat the villain.

Where Cris Tales really shines is in battle. During combat, the screen is divided into three sections. Enemies on the left side can be sent to the past, turning into their younger, weaker, and less experienced selves.

Meanwhile, enemies on the right can be sent to the future, causing their metal armor to rust or causing a poisonous seed planted to suddenly bloom into a deadly plant.

It’s an incredibly clever mechanic that pushes the player to think strategically rather than just spamming available attacks.

Sometimes, sending an enemy to the past makes them healthier and stronger, while sending them to the future makes them more skilled and dangerous. Cris Tales is a goldmine for fans of JRPGs and time-traveling mechanics.

            3 Final Fantasy XIII-2

Fixing Paradoxes While Creating New Ones

            final-fantasy-13-2-time-travel

While the community mocked Final Fantasy XIII for its linearity—often dubbed a hallway simulator—its direct sequel, Final Fantasy XIII-2, took the complete opposite approach.

Playing as Serah, Lightning’s sister, alongside the newcomer Noel, we hop from timeline to timeline, fixing paradoxes and unlocking new alternate universes, considerably growing the game’s mythology.

I know many people hate Final Fantasy XIII-2, but I love this JRPG. The feature that lets us pick episodes in a matrix-like structure, watch how our actions influence different outcomes, and explore various possibilities is incredibly satisfying.

The story also gracefully tackles the time-traveling theme. Caius, one of the most underrated villains in the entire Final Fantasy franchise, truly deserves more love because his character arc is extremely relatable.

Also, Final Fantasy XIII-2 has one of the best boss battles tied to time-traveling mechanics. It’s not exactly a gameplay mechanic, but the JRPG presents a unique take where the boss avoids destruction by simply resetting itself to a past version before it dies. It’s confusing without playing it, but believe me, it’s amusing.

            2 Chrono Trigger

            Reference on Time-Traveling Mechanics

            chrono-trigger-time-travel

Discussing time travel in gaming is humanly impossible without immediately thinking of Chrono Trigger. The JRPG’s take on the theme was incredible, and even today, it serves as a reference for future games.

Right from the start, Chrono Trigger shows us exactly how its time-traveling mechanics will work. It’s elegant, embraces simplicity, and, most importantly, it works.

Every era we visit in the game feels believable and reflects the world’s evolution. Even better, some side quests allow us to directly influence how the world develops without feeling far-fetched.

Chrono Trigger proves that just because a game tackles a complex theme doesn’t mean its execution has to be overly complicated.

With careful design and technical finesse, this JRPG masterpiece simplified a mechanic that’s often poorly implemented and employed it to enhance the game as a whole.

            1 Radiant Historia

            The Butterfly Effect of JRPGs

            radiant-historia-time-travel

I know it sounds weird to put Chrono Trigger in second place, but if you play Radiant Historia, preferably the Perfect Chronology version, you’ll understand why.

While Chrono Trigger lets us travel through time and visit different eras, Radiant Historia takes a different approach to the theme. Here, we have two parallel realities, where the protagonist, Stocke, constantly hops between them.

Think of this JRPG as more of a Butterfly Effect than anything. Stocke encounters a problem in the original timeline, called the Standard Story, so he either jumps to the past, looking for a way to fix it, or to the Alternate Story, where his actions influence the other timeline and vice versa.

And despite the protagonist constantly shifting between the past, present, and an alternate reality, it’s surprisingly difficult to find any plot holes in Radiant Historia. The writing is impeccable, the motivations are believable, and the execution is flawless.

Overall, I still consider Chrono Trigger a better game than Radiant Historia. But if we’re strictly talking about time traveling in JRPGs, then I’d pick the latter without batting an eyelash.

Very few games have managed to grasp the theme’s nuances as well as Radiant Historia did.

Ant and Dec were almost sued for m by man who claimed duo ‘ruined his career’

Ant and Dec were previously nearly sued by an American star for an eye-watering amount.

Since shooting to fame in the late 1980s, the Geordie duo have become TV’s go-to presenting duo. From hosting Britain’s Got Talent – which is on today (March 8) – to I’m A Celeb, the boys have kept busy over the years.

However, back in 2008, the pair were almost sued by an American comedian to stop them from using his name while they worked in the US.

Why were Ant and Dec nearly sued?

In 2008, comedian Anthony Kalloniatis tried to sue Ant for trademark infringement.

Anthony – who legally changed his name to ANT in 1993 – is best known for hosting the US version of Celebrity Fit Club.

He was also a regular guest on chat shows in the 2000s, including The Tyra Banks Show and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

He claimed he was losing work due to him being confused for Ant and Dec. It was reported Anthony feared they could harm his career.

At the time, Ant and Dec were trying to crack America by hosting the US gameshow Wanna Bet?. However, due to poor ratings, the show was cancelled after one season.

Comedian tried to sue Ant and Dec

As MailOnline reports, Anthony wanted to sue for $30m and claimed that when Ant and Dec applied to use their names in America, they failed to make it clear they were comedians.

Under US rules, no two performers can have the same name.

As well as that, Anthony reportedly claimed that his “valuable reputation” could be tarnished due to Ant and Dec’s involvement in shows embroiled in phone-in scandals.

              Ant’s suit was rejected

The publication also claimed that, at the time, Ant and Dec’s American lawyers were investigating the allegations.

However, the suit ended up getting rejected in 2010. And, as the Telegraph reports, Ant McPartlin was awarded more than $60,000 in legal fees.
