Nexon has just released update 1.1.9 for The First Descendant. It’s only a minor patch rather than anything huge containing several bug fixes and balance changes, but it has brought a new event to TFD. This new event offers three exclusive rewards for The First Descendant players to unlock, but players will need to complete the challenges before the official deadline.
The Korean developer has shared a lot of exciting plans for TFD well beyond just the imminent release of Season 2. Arguably Season 2’s best feature will be expanded upon in the future with “other types of companions,” and Nexon has teased that collaborations with other IPs are officially “under review”. A bane within the community since day one has been AFK players, and Nexon have plans to introduce more matchmaking options in the future so descendants can have a better multiplayer experience.
While all of the above is stuff to anticipate, right now players have a new code to redeem in honor of Nexon’s 30th anniversary, and a new The First Descendant event has begun with rewards honoring the American holiday, Thanksgiving.
How to get The First Descendant Thanksgiving event rewards
As part of update 1.1.9, Nexon has begun a new event in The First Descendant with three Thanksgiving rewards available to unlock. These items are exclusive to this event, so you will definitely want to unlock them before the occasion expires.
The rewards on offer are as follows:
“None For You” spray
“Maple Leaf” chest Attachment
“Fluffy Turkey” back Attachment
Neither the spray or maple leaf are anything especially amazing, but the turkey backpack is bizarrely great.
Below are how to get each of the rewards on offer:
“None For You” spray – login before maintenance on December 4th, 2024
“Maple Leaf” chest attachment – Acquire 200 thousand Kuiper Shards
“Fluffy Turkey” back attachment – Complete 2 Infiltration Operations on any difficulty
None of the challenges are difficult, so you should be able to comfortably complete them before the December 4th deadline. Once you accomplish the reward’s corresponding challenge, you should receive your prize via the in-game mailbox within 10-minutes.
