Marvel Rivals Season 4 Patch Will Finally Nerf The Most Overpowered Hero

Next week, NetEase will drop Season 4 for Marvel Rivals, which brings a new hero, new map and other new pieces of content. However, aside from that, there will be a host of balance changes that wil be handed out too.

There are a lot of heroes that are going up the tiers, and some will be going down.

One annoying character that almost always gets insta-banned in Competitive is finally getting a significant nerf.

Ahead of the September 12 kick-off of Season 4, NetEase has released the hero balance changes incoming, and confirmed that Black Panther is (finally) getting a significant nerf!

Per NetEase, here’s what’s changing for this annoying Duelist:

T’Challa’s survivability after striking a marked enemy is now less kingly.

– Reduce Bonus Health gained when striking Vibranium Marked enemies with Spirit Rend from 30 to 25.

– Reduce base health from 300 to 275.

That reduced base health should help make T’Challa a lot more squishy, and the reduced health bonus for Spirit Rend should also reduce his survivability, which is off the charts right now.

While Black Panther is getting a significant nerf, one other Duelist is getting a massive buff, and it’s Scarlet Witch! Wanda’s ultimate is getting a major buff that will make landing it easier:

Wanda’s survivability and Ultimate are getting a magical upgrade.

– Can now be healed by teammates during Mystic Projection.

– Increase Reality Erasure damage from 800 to 9999.

– New Effect: Now pulls in nearby enemies (within 15m radius) during cast charge. Max pull speed up to 2.4m/s.

Expect people to call out Scarlet Witch once the patch has been applied and is in use by good players. Of course. her base damage is still low, and it takes a while for her ultimate to charge, so maybe this is a step in the right direction? We’ll know for sure later this month when the patch is live.

Alongside the buffs and nerfs, there are also new Team-Up on the way, and it’s for the new hero Angela and Thor!

Divine Armory (Angela – Thor)

– As the Team-Up Anchor, Angela gains 100 Health.

– Thor gains the new Thunderstrike Pike ability from his Team-Up with Angela.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 kicks off on September 12, so if you’re a Black Panther main, enjoy your last few days of dominance. Alongside Season 4, the game will also be released on PS4 the same day Season 4 launches, so expect a huge influx of new players. For those wondering if we’re getting a Switch 2 version, it seems that won’t be happening anytime soon, and you can blame Nintendo for that.
