The upcoming Marvel Rivals season will bring several game-changing improvements. NetEase has revealed many new things coming with Season 3.5 in its latest Dev Diary, giving us an early look at the mid-season update. Players certainly have a lot to look forward to next week, especially since the season is packed with many changes they requested.

Season 3.5 should drastically improve Marvel Rivals and boost its player count, which has declined over the past few months. So let’s dive deeper and see all the improvements waiting for us in the next season.

Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 will drastically improve the Ranked mode

Marvel Rivals has two core game modes: Quick Play and Ranked. While Quick Play is mainly intended for casual players, Ranked is there primarily for competitors. It’s quite rewarding, but also very competitive, which is not everyone’s cup of tea. Furthermore, there’s a lot of toxicity in Ranked, which is why players tend to avoid it.

Fortunately, the upcoming mid-season update will take care of this. NetEase has announced numerous improvements coming with Season 3.5, including these:

Longer bans from competitive play

Increased penalty for quitters

Bigger point reductions

Point compensation

Surrenders requiring fewer players

Faster appeal process

One of the biggest problems in Marvel Rivals is short suspensions in Ranked mode. However, that will change with the release of the next season, as leavers will face harsher penalties. In addition to this, players who lose games on purpose will get bigger point reductions, while those negatively affected by their teammates will lose fewer points.

Season 3.5 of Marvel Rivals is set to come out on Friday, August 8. It will add a new Duelist, Blade, along with a new map and cosmetics. Furthermore, the season will bring numerous buffs and nerfs.
