Lopez’s role as Judy Robles in the upcoming sports drama, “Unstoppable,” seems to be so relatable to her.

During a Q&A session after a November 5 screening for the film, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer talked about powering through “challenging relationships” amid her ongoing divorce from her estranged husband, Affleck.

According to Hello! Magazine, Lopez spoke about how “relatable” it is for women who’ve also had to navigate difficult issues while “being a mother.”

“I think a lot of women have gone through that, and she [Judy] and I talked a lot,” she said, referencing the real-life Judy.

Lopez further noted that she and Judy became well acquainted through the experience because she “wanted her to really feel safe with me [while] sharing details.”

“When you talk to Judy’s kids, including Anthony, they’re like, ‘My mom’s so positive, she’s so great,'” the singer continued. “There was a whole different story there that she was living, that you hide from your children, you protect your children from that.”

Lopez’s upcoming film follows the real story of wrestling champion Anthony Robles, played by Jharrel Jerome, who was born with one leg and focuses on his close bond with his mother, Judy Robles.

Despite his predicament, Anthony had to defy the odds to become a champion wrestler in college, competing against the very school that rejected him.

It is set to hit theaters on December 6 and features a cast including Lopez, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.

In the film, the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer said she wanted to “not just play the mom who the kids knew” but to play the woman “who raised these children and how she found her own strength.”

She added that she didn’t want “anybody to see me” in her onscreen performance. “I wanted them to see Judy in it,” she said.

“Unstoppable” is produced by Affleck’s Artists Equity production company. In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the actor weighed in on his estranged wife’s performance, calling it “spectacular.”

“Unstoppable is a very different movie than this, but in a way, it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” Affleck added. “Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel, and Bobby Cannavale – all were really passionate about this film.”

However, when Lopez had the chance to share her thoughts on how Affleck did with the production, she swerved the question.

A video that went viral on X captured the moment when she stood to answer questions from a red carpet reporter who asked her how she would describe Affleck’s producing in the movie, mentioning that the actor called her performance “spectacular.”

“Erm, I would describe all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes as spectacular and wonderful,” she skillfully replied without directing her comment to the “Argo” actor.

Lopez and Affleck got married two years ago after previously dating in the early 2000s. However, their marriage was trailed by reports of a split earlier this year before the “Hustlers” actress filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20.

She recently sat down with Nikki Glaser for an Interview Magazine chat, where she was asked if she had any regrets due to her split from the “Accountant 2” actor.

“Not one second,” Lopez stated. “That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F-ck, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times.”

She also spoke on how she’s been handling this new phase of her life, especially as it relates to her relationship and career.

“I think my whole life I’ve just been trying to say I’m good enough, until where I am now, when I know,” Lopez said. “I’m giving myself credit. I’m telling that little girl that grew up in the Bronx, ‘You’ve done really good for yourself.’ I didn’t do that for so many years.”

“And now I think, with everything that’s happened in my life and in my relationships and even in my career, it’s like, give yourself a bit of comfort and love,” she added.
