With the release of the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event with Title Update 3 in Monster Hunter Wilds, mysterious otherworldly foe known as Omega Planetes has descended on the Forbidden Lands.

Should you manage to defeat it, there’s an absolute treasure trove of Final Fantasy-inspired rewards waiting for you.

One of those rewards is the hilariously cute Morbol Seedling outfit for your Palico companion. If you’re looking to add it to your Felyne wardrobe, here’s how to unlock and craft the Morbol Seedling outfit in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to Unlock Morbol Seedling Palico Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds

The Morbol Seedling Palico armor set is one of many rewards added with the 2025 Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event (Title 3 Update). The set itself is meant to resemble a classic monster in the Final Fantasy franchise known as the Malboro, albeit in its miniature “seedling” form.

To unlock this set for your Palico, you’ll first need to embark on the Extra Mission 5 that Alma will inform you of as soon as you download the update and start the game. It consists of two sub-missions titled ‘A Peak Predicament’ and then ‘Invader From the Stars’.

The second one requires you to defeat the normal variant of Omega Planetes, either solo or in a group. Make sure to be well-prepared, as this monster is easily one of the most difficult on the game’s roster.

Once it’s slain, and you claim your hunt-related rewards, the Morbol Seedling set will automatically unlock under the Palico Gear menu at the forge.

How to Craft Morbol Seedling Palico Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds

While the Morbol Seedling set for your Palico will unlock after defeating Omega Planetes, you’ll still need the right set of monster materials to craft it. Bear in mind that they’re some of the same materials you’ll otherwise need for the Bane Armor, if you’re looking to build that for your hunter as well.

However, the material requirements for this Palico set aren’t nearly as intensive as the Hunter sets, so that’s a decent trade-off. The set consists of three pieces, including a chest piece, a head piece, and a weapon.

In all, you’ll need the following materials for each piece:

Twinflight Butterflies (weapon)

Omega Data 1.0 x 1

Omega Pedal x 1

Morbol Seedling Head (head piece)

Omega Data 1.0 x 2

Omega Screw x 2

Morbol Seedling Body (chest piece)

Omega Data 1.0 x 2

Omega Screw x 2

Be aware that like certain other Palico armor sets such as the Wudwud sets, the Morbol Seedling set functions as a onesie-type set, where both the head and chest pieces must be worn together simultaneously.

Also, like the previous Street Fighter collaboration event, you don’t need to worry about missing out on this armor set, as it’s a permanent addition to the game!
