General Hospital early weekly spoilers for January 5th through the 9th thrill with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) targeting Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary)’s final goodbye one more time.

We are in another holiday week. So, as we do on early edition day, we’ll talk about what’s coming the rest of this week, including some preemptions of new episodes, and then we’ll talk about what is coming next week, which has five full episodes again.

General Hospital Holiday Schedule and New Year’s Eve Flashback

On Wednesday, December 31st, it’s New Year’s Eve. And we’re going to have a repeat of an episode from last year’s holiday season that originally aired December 27th, 2024. In that episode, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) got caught in Prague by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Charlotte Cassadine was on the run with Valentin Cassadine. Lulu Spencer tracked them down and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) told Emma she had to live with her if she wanted to stay in Port Charles. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) asked Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) to help her find out who murdered Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). And that’s what put her on the path to killing Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and turning into a WSB agent.

General Hospital Spoilers: The Hard Truth

Plus, Michael Corinthos asked Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to represent him if he and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) couldn’t work things out after she slept with Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).

Back then, Michael was hoping it wouldn’t come to a divorce, but we all know how that turned out. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) let Anna Devane know that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) followed Lulu Spencer to Prague. And Anna was really worried that they would be collateral damage because the WSB was going to try and kill Valentin Cassadine.

Honoring Anthony Geary: A Tribute to Luke Spencer’s Final Farewell

Then on Thursday, January 1st, we kick off the new year with an encore episode. This one’s huge. This is a very important rerun. General Hospital honors Luke Spencer and his recent passing by re-airing his final episode where Luke Spencer said farewell to Port Charles back in 2015.

He showed up briefly in 2017 for Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine)’s exit, but then of course she came back. In that episode, he did not say literally one word. So this was his actual final episode. Lulu Spencer (Emme Ryland) said a sweet goodbye to her dad, Luke Spencer. And he gave Lulu a goodbye letter to deliver to her mom, Laura Webber (Genie Francis).

Then in his last moments of the episode, Luke Spencer told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to take care of Port Charles. Luke walked off into the fog, boarded a boat to leave town. And the scene faded to black as we said goodbye to his legendary character.

You will need to break out the tissues, I’m sure, as we now say goodbye to the legendary actor who played Luke Spencer since Tony Geary passed away suddenly on December 14th from complications due to a routine and scheduled surgery.

General Hospital Friday Spoilers: Alexis Davis Targets Michael Corinthos

Friday, January 2nd, we have the first new episode of the new year. Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is in shock on Friday. I do wonder if Alexis Davis spills about the letter she got saying Michael Corinthos was parked outside of Drew Cain Quartermaine’s house, or if Kristina somehow overhears her or sees the notes. There’s plenty to be shocked about in Port Charles these days.

Laura Webber gets a new task and I’m guessing it’s from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Maybe Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) can help. Laura is hoping to use the women that Sidwell is stringing along against him, which is Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). Worst case, he gets scratched in a cat fight.

Alexis Davis has to switch gears and she needs a new strategy. Now that she knows Michael Corinthos was at Drew Cain Quartermaine’s house the night he was shot and Tracy Quartermaine and Kristina Corinthos-Davis both perjured themselves, Alexis has to find a way to prove that they all are lying to the cops and on the stand.

She’s got to figure this out. Knowing the facts and being able to prove the facts are two different things. Kristina Corinthos-Davis confers with Dante Falconeri. And I’m sure this is about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and the hits he made in their case when he was on the stand. They’re still waiting on security footage. We know Michael Corinthos is going to be on that footage when it finally turns up somewhere.

Speaking of him, Sonny Corinthos warns Michael about something. We’re also going to see Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) find a piece of evidence soon that reveals the killer’s identity.

Portia Robinson and Curtis Ashford Face DNA Test Drama

Then the week of January 5th through the 9th, we have a full week of five episodes now that the holidays are behind us. It’s hard to believe 2026 is this week. It’s crazy.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is facing pressure from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in the new year to go get the DNA test done on the baby. But Portia’s also had about enough of Curtis at this point. Everybody just criticizing her. You know, their marriage was over. I don’t know if I love Curtis. But I don’t think Portia was necessarily in the wrong.

Curtis Ashford had been having an emotional affair and he and Portia Robinson broke up before she slept with Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). So, especially once Portia finds out Curtis is back in Jordan Ashford’s bed, I think she may dig in her heels and move at the pace she wants to move at on this DNA test because I do think she’s worried Curtis is the dad.

She doesn’t want to be locked into some weird co-parenting thing with him and Jordan. But if Isaiah Gannon is identified as the father, the question is, will Curtis accept that result? Because he shouldn’t, because Portia Robinson is a liar.

Jack Brennan’s Leverage and WSB Schemes in Port Charles

Gio is trying to bury the hatchet with Dante Falconeri so he can spend time with his brother Rocco Falconeri (Finn Frances Carr). But their biological dad may not be so easy to deal with. Dante’s being very difficult. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) keep up with their usual antics. I love seeing them together.

Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine need to step up their game. Their scheming against Jack Brennan hasn’t accomplished a lot at this point other than getting Valentin out of Steinmauer. We should also be getting some more info soon on Anna Devane. She is supposed to be getting the chance to escape soon. But I doubt she makes it too far. The question is, was she set up to try to escape because awful Pascal is keeping a very close eye on her?

Jack Brennan is the one who fast-tracked Britt Westbourne getting her medical license back. Brennan, no doubt, is going to show up to collect on the favor. He may even threaten Britt that he can have her license yanked away again if she doesn’t hand the WSB the cold fusion research that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was working on in his final project.

Jason Morgan is determined to clone Britt Westbourne’s meds so she can get away from Jenz Sidwell. Now that Britt and Jason shared that birthday/New Year’s kiss, he will be even more determined to help her. The culprit who shot Drew Cain Quartermaine is revealed soon and it’s going to be surprising.

Sidwell’s Illegal Smuggling Plot and the Hunt for Evidence

Meanwhile, Jenz Sidwell’s plotting to use deception to smuggle illegal goods into Port Charles. Sonny Corinthos and Laura Webber are itching to take him down. But they have to get their hands on those incriminating photos before they can do anything.

Remember, he said he had copies and if he turned up dead, they would get turned over to the cops and all that. So, they need an inside man. Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) is living there; he’d be a good choice. But the problem is right now he’s a smitten kitten and wouldn’t go digging into Marco’s dad’s stuff. Plus, I think he knows Sidwell is dangerous.

Harrison Chase Defends Willow Tait as New Shooting Suspects Emerge

Harrison Chase remains suspended from the PCPD. But he stands by his actions. He is quite convinced that Willow Tait is not guilty and he wants to prove it. Dante Falconeri accused him of deleting the footage, which he did not do. We all know Jack Brennan did that.

Maybe, just maybe, Chase can help Alexis Davis if she tells him about the letter she got saying that Michael Corinthos was outside Drew Cain Quartermaine’s house that night. We’re going to see things shifting at Willow Tait’s trial soon as other suspects are revealed who have much stronger motives than hers and much weaker alibis.

Tracy Quartermaine, Michael Corinthos, and Kristina Corinthos-Davis may face fallout soon. Plus, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Lulu Spencer keep bonding, which is kind of interesting.
