The Fortnite x Mortal Kombat collaboration was officially confirmed by Epic Games! The game developer revealed that the long-awaited partnership would take place in Chapter 6 – Season 2. Sub-Zero, one of the most popular MK characters, will be added to Fortnite. However, according to leaks, Epic has prepared even more content for this collab.
Aside from Sub-Zero, the Fortnite creator is expected to release at least one more skin. Additionally, the collaboration will introduce new gameplay features, including Mythic items and possibly map changes.
Several Mortal Kombat characters will come to Fortnite soon
Mortal Kombat has been a beloved video game franchise for over three decades, introducing numerous unique characters and even inspiring a few movies. Given its lasting popularity, incorporating it into Fortnite is a great choice.

On Friday, Epic revealed that Sub-Zero will come with the Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 2 Battle Pass on February 21. To obtain this character, you will first have to purchase the new seasonal pass for 1,000 V-Bucks. Additionally, he will also be obtainable if you have an active Fortnite Crew subscription. Since Sub-Zero will be a Battle Pass skin, Fortnite may also release him in the future, but not before the summer of 2026.
According to leakers, Scorpion will also come with the Mortal Kombat collaboration. The release date and price of this skin are currently unknown, but we expect it to come out by May 2025. Since it’s a collaboration skin, it will cost at least 1,500 V-Bucks.

Finally, the collaboration will feature several gameplay items. Hypex, the most popular Fortnite leaker, claims that Fortnite will have two Mortal Kombat Mythic items. This could also mean that Epic Games will release a Mortal Kombat-themed POI, although this hasn’t been leaked yet.
