Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a new Multiplayer Perk called Slipstream and Zombies fans already want a piece of the action.

Since releasing back in late October 2024, Black Ops 6 has already delivered two seasons of excellent post-launch content.

Zombies fans have been eating especially good, thanks to Treyarch’s release of two new round-based maps bringing the game’s map roster to a total of four undead survival arenas already.

But fans of the survival mode have been eyeing up a new Perk that arrived in the Black Ops 6’s Multiplayer, and they believe that it should make its way to Zombies in the future.

Slipstream Perk Should Come to Zombies, Fans Believe

In Black Ops 6 Season 2, Treyarch added a new Enforcer Perk called Slipstream.

A player equipped with this Perk loses their ability to Tactical Sprint, but gains an overall speed boost that is marginally slower than the regular boosted sprint.

The Slipstream Perk is powerful because it removes the Aim Down Sight (ADS) time penalties that Tactical Sprint imposes on heavy weapons. In addition, while you can’t sprint quite as fast as with Tac Sprint, you can keep moving at high speeds indefinitely, rather than having a limited amount of sprint to fall back on.

Over on the COD Zombies subreddit, user mattiadece calls on Treyarch to introduce Slipstream to Zombies, despite the fact that Multiplayer Perks don’t currently exist in the mode.

The Zombies fan states their opinion that Tactical Sprint doesn’t belong in Zombies, claiming they’d rather see an increase in overall sprint speed.

The Arguments Against Tac Sprint in Zombies

It seems that more than a few members of the Call of Duty Zombies community have an issue with Tactical Sprint’s implementation in the mode.

Some of the arguments we’ve seen against Tac Sprint in Black Ops 6 Zombies are as follows:

Tac Sprint Is Rough on Controllers – Repeatedly Tac Sprinting leads to increased pressing of your controller’s analog sticks, which fans believe contributes to stick drift.

Extra ADS Times Not Needed in Zombies – Although a point could be made for increased Aim Down Sight times being necessary for balance in Multiplayer, fans aren’t happy with LMGs, Launchers, and Sniper Rifles taking longer to ADS in Zombies.

Zombies Speed Is Tied to Tactical Sprint – In later rounds of Black Ops 6 Zombies, the undead move so fast that it seems likely they’re balanced around a player’s Tactical Sprinting speed.

If Slipstream was added to the game mode, the complaints above would be resolved, but we’re not so sure that Treyarch would be willing to re-balance entire maps with the changes in mind.

As some Reddit users rightfully point out, the Stamin-Up Perk-a-Cola already boosts player movement speed in a similar manner.

Could Slipstream be incorporated into the Perk in some way, assuming Treyarch is even willing to change a Perk-a-Cola’s Augments after their release?

We wouldn’t get your hopes up. That said, Treyarch has been remarkably good at listening to player requests with regards to Black Ops 6 Zombies so far.

And with reportedly three more Zombies maps coming to the game before the end of the year, there’s still plenty of time for the developer to adjust the Black Ops 6’s movement speed.
