Elon Musk-led xAI has officially unveiled its new artificial intelligence model, Grok 3. The model comes with very important improvements and promises to be assertive in the field of generative artificial intelligence.

Elon Musk, who is trying to compete with companies such as OpenAI with the company he calls xAI, officially introduced Grok 3, the new version of Grok, the artificial intelligence model we use in X today. xAI’s new flagship model was officially announced in a live broadcast from the platform in the past minutes, in which Musk also participated. The Grok 3 model, which Musk calls “the smartest artificial intelligence in the world”, comes with many features compared to the previous generation. Even on some issues Google and even surpasses OpenAI’s AI models.

According to Musk, Grok 3 outperformed models such as Gemini, GPT-4o, DeepSeek in performance tests

The Grok 3 model, which has been in development for months, is being trained in a massive data center with approximately 200,000 CPUs in Memphis, USA. Elon Musk stated that Grok 3 has 10 times more processing power than its predecessor.

It should also be noted that Grok 3 is a model family rather than a single model. It will be accompanied by a smaller version, the Grok 3 Mini, which will feature differences such as faster response times to questions.

Grok 3’s performance was also revealed at the event. According to the company, Grok 3 outperformed OpenAI’s GPT-4o, Google’s Gemini, and DeepSeek’s R1 models in benchmark tests. The comparison evaluated functions such as physics problems, math questions, and coding capabilities.

Gained Reasoning and Google-like Search Abilities

Recently, there has been a growing number of artificial intelligence models that can gradually develop reasoning capabilities. Now, Grok 3 will join this trend with its new-generation advancements. Both the regular and mini versions of the model will feature logical reasoning abilities. This will enable the model to analyze problems deeply, self-verify, and provide solutions, similar to OpenAI’s O1 models.

According to xAI, Grok 3 Reasoning outperformed the O3 Mini in performance tests. Additionally, it surpassed Google’s Gemini and DeepSeek models in various benchmarks.

These models will reportedly be accessible through the Grok app. Additionally, a new mode called DeepSearch will be introduced, offering functionality similar to OpenAI’s search tool. This mode will scan the internet and X to gather and deliver information to users.

Audible Mode and SuperGrok Subscription Announced

Beyond these updates, the company has also announced the long-awaited voice mode, which will be added to Grok in the coming weeks. Users will soon be able to have voice conversations with the model, similar to ChatGPT.

A brand-new subscription plan called SuperGrok has also been introduced, offering exclusive features for Grok users. This premium subscription, available on the Grok mobile app and website, will be priced at $30 per month. SuperGrok will provide advanced features beyond the free version, such as reasoning, DeepSearch, unlimited image generation, and more.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the Grok 3 model will be made available to X Premium+ subscribers starting next week. However, no announcement has been made regarding access for free users. announcement was made as to whether free users would be able to access it.
