Death Stranding 2: How To Unlock The Artist

Unlike the widely popular Usada Pekora, who gets unlocked via the main story orders, Death Stranding 2 features a variety of hidden facilities/preppers. Among them is the artist, who is tucked away in Mexico, the opening region of the game.

You’ll need to go out of your way to find her, but if you can spare the effort and get her online on the Chiral Network, she has a few goodies that may seem worthwhile to players who love more cosmetic flair additions.

So I invite you to join me as I briefly discuss the whereabouts of the Artist, how you can go about unlocking her, as well as the rewards she offers you across her five connection levels in Death Stranding 2.

How To Find & Unlock The Artist

The Artist is situated just north of the C1 South Distribution Center, located a bit higher in the mountainous region, as shown in the images above.

If you’ve managed to unlock the Bokka, then unlocking the Artist should be familiar territory to you since they’re relatively close apart in terms of facility distance.

I strongly advise bringing the tricruiser bike, which should make traversing to her a breeze.

Despite the relatively straightforward path to her, the artist’s bunker is located higher up on a steep slope, and if you’re on foot, good luck climbing up and back without a vehicle or zipline to make things faster and easier.

To unlock the artist, you must locate and return lost cargo to her facility. The locations for these can be specific to each player, but I found a few near the Former Geophysics Research Lab and even a couple leading up the steep path to her bunker.

In general, try to scan for lost cargo near her facility’s vicinity, and you should easily be able to snag a few just like I did. At least it isn’t like the first game, where hidden preppers’ lost cargo was insanely obscure to find on certain occasions.

Connection Level Rewards

Once you’ve linked The Artist AKA Lauren Tsai to the Chiral Network, you can make deliveries for her in the region as you wish, as well as undertake deliveries for her from other facilities.

I’ve listed below the rewards for all her connection levels, which mainly include new color options for the customization features.
