When Roy O’dell Gray worked morning drive on now-defunct WNWZ News Radio in Richmond, Virginia many moons before founding Jazz Joy and Roy Global Radio in 2007, he got a phone call from ‘Soul Train’ announcer Sid McCoy, thanking Gray for playing one of McCoy’s syndicated programs.
