Israeli governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) innovator Anecdotes has announced a $30 million capital infusion, bringing its total Series B funding to an impressive $55 million. The funding will be used to accelerate the development of the company’s AI-powered automation tools, helping enterprises modernize their GRC workflows and stay ahead of today’s fast-evolving risk landscape.
Redefining Enterprise GRC with Data and Automation:
The latest investment marks a major milestone for Anecdotes, which has positioned itself as a disruptor in the enterprise GRC space. According to co-founder and CEO Yair Kuznitsov, the funding will help the company double down on its mission to turn GRC from a reactive, manual function into a data-driven, automated, and strategic business enabler.
“We’ve always believed that GRC has way more to offer the business than it gets credit for, and that the way to change that is through data,” Kuznitsov wrote in a company blog post. “With this new funding, we’re doubling down on our mission to help enterprises scale GRC, automate operations, and ensure risk management is both proactive and effective.”
Anecdotes was born from the frustration of watching GRC teams waste countless hours compiling outdated, fragmented compliance evidence. The result, according to Kuznitsov, was a system bogged down by siloed workflows, guesswork, and limited visibility, leaving businesses vulnerable to risk.
A Critical Moment for Enterprise GRC:
With the regulatory environment becoming increasingly complex and cyber threats on the rise, the pressure on compliance teams has never been higher. Yet, many companies continue to rely on manual, point-in-time approaches that can’t keep pace with the velocity of modern business.
“Enterprise GRC is at a critical inflection point,” Kuznitsov emphasized. “Regulatory complexity is increasing, cyber threats are higher than ever, and new technologies create novel risks to mitigate.”
In response, Anecdotes offers a platform designed to automate compliance evidence collection at enterprise scale, flagging program gaps in real-time and building on existing frameworks to continuously improve GRC performance.
Accelerating AI-Powered Risk Intelligence:
With the fresh injection of capital, Anecdotes plans to enhance its platform with AI agents and intelligent automation, enabling GRC teams to identify risks faster, respond proactively, and make smarter compliance decisions with less effort.
This comes as industry leaders increasingly view AI as indispensable for the future of compliance. In a recent interview with PYMNTS, Alexander Statnikov, CEO and co-founder of Crosswise Risk Management, noted that compliance challenges have grown too complex to handle without AI.
“In 2025, there is pretty much no compliance without AI, because compliance became exponentially harder,” said Statnikov. “Think about all the change management that happens with regulations. Now, states will be stepping in. How do you stay on top of it?”
He also pointed out that product development timelines have shrunk drastically, forcing GRC teams to adapt quickly in an environment where speed and agility are essential.
“Rather than being a two-year cycle, it’s been a few weeks. Products are being shipped quicker,” he said. When combined with the demands of Banking-as-a-Service models and third-party risk management, AI becomes “a necessity for success of compliance.”
Looking Ahead:
Anecdotes’ continued growth reflects a broader trend toward intelligent compliance infrastructure, where automation and AI are central to success. As regulations grow more demanding and businesses move faster than ever, platforms like Anecdotes are poised to play a vital role in helping companies transform GRC from a bottleneck into a strategic advantage.
