A load of new changes for Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass continues its hot streak with another week of additions and departures, catering to both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike.

This week sees the arrival of a beloved indie gem and a brand-new day one release, alongside a farewell to a diverse lineup of departing titles.

New Additions

Enter the Gungeon (Cloud, Console, and PC) – March 11th

Dodge, roll, and blast your way to victory in Enter the Gungeon, a bullet-hell roguelike that will put your reflexes and skills to the test.

You’ll get to descend into the Gungeon, a constantly shifting labyrinth filled with dangerous creatures, powerful weapons, and secrets galore.

With its tight gunplay, challenging gameplay, and charming pixel art aesthetic, Enter the Gungeon is a must-play for fans of roguelikes and action-packed challenges.

As we said in our review, “Enter The Gungeon is nigh-on perfect. The hits are fine, the gunplay is wonderful, the animation and designs are fantastic, and it really needs to be picked up and played by anybody who isn’t looking for something really casual. This is a bullet-hell Rogue-like – not some Binding of Isaac clone. It is in fact its own beast, but if you can tame it, you’ll have one of the best rides of your Gungeoneering life.“

Mullet Madjack (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – March 13th

Get ready for a wild ride in Mullet Madjack, a brand-new action-platformer launching day one on Game Pass.

This vibrant and quirky game throws you into a chaotic world filled with bizarre creatures, challenging platforming sections, and over-the-top combat. With its unique art style, fast-paced gameplay, and wacky humour, Mullet Madjack is sure to be a hit with fans of offbeat adventures.

Departing Games

As always, some goodbyes must be said to make way for new arrivals. Be sure to check out these departing titles before they leave Game Pass on March 15th, hitting the links and taking in our review quotes:

Evil West (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “Each section in Evil West has clearly been made with the direction of “Make It Cool” and, honestly, it’s able to deliver some of the best fun you can have in the Wild West. Expect solid combat, smooth movement and gorgeous colour palettes throughout.“

Lies of P (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “Lies of P is an extremely enjoyable game to play through. The feel of the world, the setting, and the combat all seem to have real impact; frankly, these elements are great. The camera and jumping are not quite so good, but in all, Lies of P is an absolute pleasure to take in.“

No More Heroes 3 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “Fans of No More Heroes, this is our final form. No More Heroes 3 is the pinnacle of the franchise; the best entry yet. Welcome to the Garden of Insanity.“

Solar Ash (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “Solar Ash looks and feels like a surrealist dream. Even after a half dozen hours, I still found gliding across desolate yet beautiful backdrops to be an absolute blast. Still, a repetitive combat system stands out as a notable blemish on an otherwise stellar adventure.“

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a blast from the past, and mostly in a good way.”

Yakuza 5 Remastered (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “Yakuza 5 Remastered on Xbox dwarfs the other two games available in the Yakuza Remastered Collection. It really feels like a culmination of everything that came before it into this one huge, bursting at the seams Yakuza package.“

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (Cloud, Console, and PC) – “As a conclusion to Kiryu’s seven-game saga, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life on Xbox provides a very fitting end that will not leave a dry eye in the house.“

From demon-slaying cowboys and stylish platforming to quirky action and heartwarming adventures, these departing titles offer a diverse range of experiences. Don’t miss your chance to give them a try before they’re gone!

And next up for Game Pass subscribers after this? 33 Immortals, as it releases on March 18th.

As the Game Pass library continues to evolve, we will be here to keep you updated on all the latest additions and departures. Until then, the comments await your thoughts.
