If you haven’t been keeping tabs on gaming news, you might not know that one of Microsoft’s big exclusive franchises is now headed to the PS5 in the form of Gears of War: Reloaded, a remaster of the original Gears game released for the Xbox 360 in 2006.

If you’re on Xbox Series X|S and thinking of getting the game, make sure to check your inbox, as Microsoft has sent out a free code to loyal fans of the franchise.
If you’re thinking of picking this up for multiplayer, the game does have a fully-functional co-op and competitive modes, though it won’t feature the franchise’s trademark Horde mode, as that was introduced in Gears of War 2.
Does this mean we’ll be getting more Gears of War remasters or even the in-development Gears of War: E-Day, which is where we’ll see the original of the Lancer Chainsaw gun? Maybe if this sells well enough, and once we hear anything about it, we’ll let our readers know.
